Mods need to start issuing verbal warns when someone breaks rules, flames, spams, whatever. And then if they are ignored, warn, lock topics, whatever the situation calls for. I think a similar thing is done on Mtgsalvation, where the mods warn people, then edit the offending post with the reason why so new members can learn from the existing member's mistake. I agree, the first verbal warning is the first step. But people easily get out of hand and don't bother listening to the first, second, or third one.If this is to urge the mods to do the first one, then I definitely support this. Incident brewed up, and I ended up having to ban TEW and warn some. Let's not talk about it. Tbh, verbal warns will be more effective if it also includes proper warns, especially to members that should've known better. But still, support. Sometimes, people don't even know when they're stepping out of line (not saying this was the case last night, as it was not). Of course, if members already broke it in the past, they really shouldn't get verbal ones to be honest. That being said, it'll at least lend substance to any physical warns we give, since we did warn you verbally + then you chose not to heed it. (Of course, there are some members who decide to ignore posts/PMs + won't see the warning; only way you're getting through them is the physical one) In essence, first warn given is a verbal reminder (stop doing it or else) and second/subsequent offenses are actual ones. There's no reason not to support this, so 100% support from me. However, another thing that is needed is a clear punishment system in each of the subsections. List all the punishable offenses and the punishments for it. This is actually a rather effective way to keep people on line as they know exactly what they can be held responsible with, and a mod cannot be accused of bias. Just my two cents.
