^OOC^

"How are the preparatives going?" - A man in a black suit stared out of the window of the observatory installed on the peak of Mt. Nadare. His green eyes looked over the horizon, with no specific focus.

His two grunts took a knee behind him. - "Everything's ready." - A slight grin formed on the suited man's face. - "Proceed to Phase Two." -With their boss' order, the grunts nodded and quickly left the area.
---------------------------------------

The breeze brings the smell of the sea, the small town devoid of city noises, besides the racket of  people boarding a ship on the small docks and the Wingulls flying about. This was quite the change from Tomi City. An elder man smiles, after a young girl bought a couple of Oran Berries from his stand. The twin-tails haired girl saved the blue fruit in her bag before walking down the cobble road.

Emily yawned, having woken up too early in the morning. She stretched her arms as she turned a corner. The street ended abruptly with a big, white building with no windows. On the front, a big sign in red letters announced she had reached the right place, "Pokemon Laboratory - Hoshi Branch". After walking through the revolving door, she was greeted by a line of aspiring trainers. After some minutes, she reached the counter - "Well, that was quick. Thankfully..."

"Good morning! I'm Migite, the professor's assistant. May I have your name?" Emily was greeted by a young bespectacled man, only a couple of years older than her. If Emily looked tired, Migite looked like he hadn't slept in a couple of days. His blonde hair was messy and his labcoat was wrinkly and stained with what looked like coffee. - "I'm Emily Aderyn."
-"Oh, Emily, I believe your box is..."- Migite started moving some boxes around carefully, each labelled with the name of a future trainer. -"...right here. You've requested a starter Pokemon with the Starter Trainer Box, so you'll find its PokeBall inside. Congratulations!" - Emily grabbed the box with both hands and walked out the back door of the building, which lead to the town's park.

She inspected the Box with care, placing everything on the side and focusing on the PokeBall with the label "Togepi - Emily Aderyn". With a slight wrist movement, she flinged the ball onto the bench she'd been sitting on, releasing a round, light-yellow creature with spikes on its head. Togepi started inspecting its enviroment, and upon gazing at Emily, it started chirping and jumping around.
"So, you are my new partner...lets see what the PokeDex has to say about you, shall we?"
Emily opened the red, notebook-like device she'd gotten in the Box, and pressed a button on its side. A red light from the device covered Togepi, and soon after its data appeared on the display.

"Oh, you are a boy aren't you? Then..." - Emily found herself deep in her thoughts, thinking of a name for her new partner, before deciding for a simple solution. - "...how about Spike?" - Spike chirped, happy to have a new name.

Emily looked around, while petting Spike with one of her hands. She should get going, there wasn't much in this town for her. But still...was leaving alone a good idea? The young girl decided to stay sitting in the park a bit longer. Somebody was bound to show up, sooner or later.

Having already gotten her Starter Trainer Box, sans Starter Pokemon, from the ragged-looking man "You reeeeallly should take a nap dude", Naomi decided that it would be a perfect time to catch some Z's. Her brown hair was already messy as usual so no worries about messing it up farther with a post-waking-up nap.

She had done a lot lately after all. After avoiding the Kalos police who were seeking her out, wanting to send her to her grandparents, and hopping a ride on a boat to the Hoshi Islands she reached a town with the Pokemon Lab. Lucky break, she hadn't thought about needing to register as a trainer here. "Seems like fate is looking out for us hey, Princess?" She said to the Rhyhorn whose back Naomi was currently sprawled across. The gentle Rock-Type snorted in agreement.

Naomi passed by several stands selling various items, but having brought no money along with her she couldn't exactly pick anything up. Oh well, surely she'd find some stuff laying around right?

Like this Potion, sitting at the outside corner of some house. If it was just laying there it was fine to grab right? Right.

"Kay Princess, 'parrently there's a park around here. Should be a good place to sleep eh? Onwards!"

Princess trudged along in the direction Naomi indicated. People nearly dived out of the way as it went, seemingly surprised to see the Pokemon walking around like that with a young girl laying on top of it. "Silly people. How can they look at this cute girl with her pretty bow and think anything but 'awww'?" Naomi patted Princess' bow happily.

She drifted off soon after. Princess, used to this by now, adjusted slightly and kept going, reaching the park soon after and wandering it aimlessly. She had rested on the boat-ride here and, unlike Naomi, didn't require much sleep. So she decided to walk around the park and see what she could find.

Azure looked towards the approaching coastline. He had left his home in Unova to try to overcome his anti-social personality by forcing himself to go on a journey by himself. He had left Aspertia City before he could start his journey there and wouldn't have went on one anyway. Looking around he saw the other passengers getting everything ready to disembark. Despite the temperature on the boat, Azure was wearing a trench coat. The only reason he was wearing it was the extra space it gave him around people. Arriving at the port, Azure picked up his bag and disembarked.

Azure had always liked the smell of seaside towns, before leaving he had spent a day just staring out into the horizon and taking in the smell and vastness of the ocean. Checking the letter he was given before he left which contained the location of the Hoshi Pokémon Lab, Azure started to head towards it. Passing a cafe, Azure decided to relax and take in the sea air for a while before getting to the lab. Releasing his first partner, Nobu, Azure sat down and ordered a salad. Opening his bag and bringing out a bag of Pokémon food, Azure looked at the Oshawott. Giving it the bag of food, Azure started to pick at his salad. He didn't usually eat salad by itself but he needed an excuse to seat in the cafe and salad was cheap. After a few minutes Azure stood up and called for Nobu to follow him.

Arriving at the lab, Azure didn't know what to expect which annoyed him. He didn't like the unknown. Decided that all he could do was to enter and get it over with the better. Entering the lab Azure walked over to the counter. Knocking on the counter to see if anyone was there, Azure took in the moment to look around the lab, nothing really interested him except the doors, the one he came in through and another one at the back of the lab. Looking back to the counter Azure saw a man who looked ready to collapse. "Good morning! I'm Migite, the professor's assistant. May I have your name?" The man looked like he shouldn't be in a lab, his lab coat and hair was a mess and had clear been up for days. Looking at him Azure answered "Azure Otsuka."

"Lets see.." The assistant, Migite was looking at different boxes searching for one which held his name, finding it he handed it to Azure, "one starter trainer box, containing 5 Pokéballs and a Pokédex." Picking it up Azure nodded his gratitude and headed out the door in the back of the lab. Upon leaving he saw that it lead to a park and walking towards the park, he could see a girl a few years older than him playing with a Togepi and a girl around his own age asleep on a Ryhorn. Sighing Azure headed towards a bench to scan in Nobu and the other trainers Pokémon.

Isaac fell out of bed, only waking up after hearing the thud of his head against the ground. As he sat up a furry creature crawled over towards him and started tickling his feet. "Porky, stop it!" The cheerful Swinub continued. After a few moments more of tickling the Swinub stopped and attempted to look out the window. "Hmm, I wonder what's going on today." Isaac picked up his furry pet and started petting it at he looked out the window. He saw many young children, as well as some older people, walking in the direction of the Pokemon Lab. "Today's the day! Everybody from all the other regions are coming here to get their Pokemon!" Isaac walked outside, Swinub in hand, and made his way to the park. Many people were talking with each other and their Pokemon, and some others were running around scanning every Pokemon they could find with their newly obtained Pokedex. Isaac reached into one of his pockets and pulled out a Pokedex which looked different to many of the ones already there. He started scanning some Pokemon:

Ryhorn, the Spikes Pokemon

Togepi, the Spike Ball Pokemon

Unidentifiable Pokemon

Isaac stopped, then looked away from the error message on his Pokedex and at the Pokemon he was scanning. It looked like a sort of Water-type Pokemon with whiskers and a shell on its chest. Isaac walked over towards the trainer. "Excuse me, what's the name of your Pokemon? I've never seen in before."

Corinne sighed, running a hand through her brown hair in agitation. She had recently arrived at the small town of Kaishi via her grandfather's Pelipper. Almost as soon as she got there, she had entered the Pokémon Center where she had returned the Pokémon and assured both her grandparents and her parents (as well as her little brother) that she had arrived safely. Of course she was safe. She had planned ahead, as she always did. Not only with her journey, but also with the destination. Kaishi Town was a port, which made it easy to access, but it was also home to the Hoshi region's official Pokémon Laboratory. Labs made registering a breeze. And it had gone by quickly. The assistant named Migite had done little more than give her a Starter Trainer Box, and she was done.

The brunette had wanted to go through the Hoenn region, honestly. But there had been some upheaval a while back having to do with legendary Pokémon and she had changed her mind. All she wanted was an uneventful journey in a peaceful region where she could get the necessary experience for her teaching license and then get out. Depending on what one wanted to teach, they didn't have to go out on stupid things like journeys. No, all they had to do was take a few tests and prove they knew what they were going to teach. Oh, and that they weren't insane. Sanity was also a plus.

She shook her head. It was her own fault for specializing in Pokémon Natures and Characteristics. That just screamed fieldwork. But it was either this or work as a professor's assistant for a time and Professor Birch had had no available openings. Everybody knew his child was the one that was going to succeed him, anyway.

In the end, it didn't matter. She was here, and she was now a trainer. She glanced at the small blue Pokémon bathing in the park fountain. Migite had recommended she head there as it was apparently a great place to relax. It seemed nice, a far cry from the bustle of Rustboro and the frantic fishing days of Pacifidlog. Corinne opened her Pokédex and flipped through the entries. So far, it only had one.

Horsea, the Dragon Pokémon

It makes its nest in the shade of corals. If it senses danger, it spits murky ink and flees.

Moves:

Bubble

Octazooka

Octazooka had given her no small amount of trouble. Cleaning up ink stains was not how she wanted to spend her free time. Just her luck her starter's father was probably an Octillery.

Flipping the dex closed, the brunette stretched her arms out and collapsed in a nearby bench. Perhaps a nap wouldn't be remiss...it had been a long flight after all. Her eyes closed of their own accord and she briefly wondered about the four other trainers she'd seen here. Togepi, Rhyhorn, Oshawott, and Swinub. All four fairly uncommon. She wondered if they were any good. Well, not that it was any of her business. The girl yawned, and listened to the sounds of her Pokémon splashing happily.

Emily was overwhelmed at the growing number of trainers around her, but was relieved to know she probably wouldn't be starting her journey alone. She added the data of the Pokemon in the park. An Oshawott, a Rhyhorn, a Swinub and a Horsea. Emily saw the kid with the Swinub talking to another trainer, and wondered if she should introduce herself to somebody.

Oh, but Spike made the decision for her already. While she was adding the data to her PokeDex, the happy creature was waddling towards the nearest trainer, who happened to be the girl on the Rhyhorn that had just walked pass. Much to Emily's demise, Spike climbed on the Pokemon's back and started poking at the sleeping trainer. - "S-Spike! I'm s-sorry..." - apologized the young lady as she grabbed the Togepi and held him tightly. -"I'm Emily...I'm sorry about my Togepi." - she blushed. After all, it was as a good moment to introduce herself as any.

From somewhere nearby, a couple of unseen red eyes inspected the scene. Its patience was almost over, and it was getting ready to make a move.

Kytes let loose a sigh as he watched the owner of the cart ring up the goods he had selected. The boy’s head was tilted awkwardly to the left in order to secure the expensive looking phone he had been speaking into on his shoulder, and his face held obvious signs of fatigue and annoyance.  At his side was an overjoyed Elekid that had dawned the starting trainer box they pair had received earlier as a hat, and was now swaying back and forth as it took in all the new sights and sounds.

“Yea, I’ll eat just fine.” Kytes spoke in a monotone as he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out the money to pay the man. After causally signaling  for the Item vendor to keep the change, he grabbed the two small bags full of items, and made his way towards the park that seemed to be occupied by a few other new trainers, the Elekid fallowing close behind.

A female voice could now be heard from the phones speaker, and it seemed to be getting louder and louder as Kytes entered the park. Rolling his eyes at his mother’s dramatics, he moved the phone away from his ear before attempting to scream over her pleas for him to come home. “I LOVE YOU, AND I’ll CALL YOU LATER!” He shouted with all his strength.

Swiftly swiping his thumb across the screen, he ended the call. Though he knew this was only the first of many. “Mom isn’t too happy,Bolt...” He smirked down at his Pokemon, and the two shared a moment of laughter between themselves, standard procedure when the disobeyed their Mrs. Silverstein.

Finally able to focus on his current situation, he took a moment to check out the other trainers in park. For the most part the group seemed to around his age, aside from the girl Togepi, who may have been a little older. Though he had initially intended to spend his time on the island alone with his pokemon, he quickly decided on finding travel companions after seeing the vast majority of the other trainers from the lab leave in groups.

"What good is an adventure if I have no one to share it with, right? Plus having a few actual friends wouldn’t hurt…" Kytes nudged Bolt with his foot , as he nodded towards the girl and the Togepi. "Feel like making a friend?"

"Brrrriii" The pokemon nodded in agreement, teetering back and forth in excitement at the prospect of meeting new people.

"Hey there!" Kytes called as he began making his way towards the bench that the older girl was occupying, only have her spring up and dash away after her pokemon, as it hopped on the back of the Rhyhorn that was serving as a lounge chair for another trainer.

Kytes could only shrug before sitting in the spot next to where she had been originally sitting. "Or I guess not... See anyone else you want to talk with, Bolt?" as he spoke the boy glanced to his side to find that his Pokemon was nowhere to found. "Bolt?!" Kytes called out in a panic, after finally spotting the Elekid. Apparently Bolt hadn't been deterred by Emily's sudden departure in the slightest, and had chosen to follow her as she ran to the other trainer.

"Brrriii Brrrriii" The hyperactive Elekid friendly greeted the Rhyhorn, before preceding climb up on it's head without warning. From there it casually made its way towards the Togepi, waving both it's hands in a hardy greeting "Brriii!"

Watching his pokemon's antics from the bench, Kytes could only sigh before raising his palm to his face in embarrassment and walking over to the group.

It had been quite the long journey by ship to this place, longer still having come from Kanto.  Admittedly, most of the length the young man associated with his journey was born of the fact that he'd had to spend a considerable amount of time waiting for the ship to even arrive back in Vermilion city.  Really, he never would have expected that ships going between his homeland and Hoshi Island were as uncommon as they were, but that was all in the past now.  The salty ocean air combined with the steadily rising temperatures had done him well, and right now James felt better than he had in a very long time.  Of course the sea spray did cause him a bit of discomfort on the rare occasion that it soaked through the bandages on his left arm.

Perched on his right shoulder to avoid causing the male pain was his admittedly unlikely savior.  The Weedle, whom he'd named Aife, clung closely to the still healing young man's shoulder and took great care to avoid sticking him with either of the venomous stingers upon her body.  The Pokéball he would occasionally carry her in rested on the belt wrapped around his waist, and was alone for the moment.  However, that was soon to change.

After a good while spent hefting a Safari Zone backpack, making his way off the ship with the aid of a metal cane with a large loop atop it, and finally going through customs to make sure everything checked out, he was finally ready to go and get started with his journey.  This of course required a visit to the local Pokémon Lab to register as a trainer.  That process was relatively smooth, given that he'd sent word ahead to them to let them know that he was coming from Kanto a while ago.  Of course it was somewhat complicated, because it seemed someone had missed the notice about how he already had a starter Pokémon.  That matter took a little while to clear up, but after ensuring that little Mudkip would find a different home it was time for James to get started on his Pokémon Adventure!

"Well, Aife, let's see if we can find you a friend."  The young man said, turning to look at his companion who responded with a little trilling noise.  "Glad you like the idea.  Now, I think there's a park nearby..."  It took a little asking around, but ultimately finding the town's park was a fairly simple matter.  Of course it seemed other trainers had similar ideas, as there was already a sizable group of them ahead of him.  Of course he recognized a few of the Pokémon present, namely Horsea and Rhyhorn, thanks to experience in wht Safari Zone but the others were foreign to him.  Thankfully, his Pokédex provided him with the names and a bit of summary of the ones he didn't recognize.  "Let's see...Togepi...Oshawott...Swinub, how's that little thing handling the tropical temperatures...Elekid.  Fair range of types it seems."  He chuckled to himself, and began making his way over towards the group.  Looking around the park to see if there were any new bug Pokémon around for him to catch could wait until he'd socialized with the other trainers.

"Hello there!"  He called out as he approached the group, a wide smile on his face as he came to a stop and planted his cane on the ground in front of him.  "I take it you're all trainers huh?  Well, that means we've got something in common.  I'm James," he said, pointing first to himself and then to the Weedle on his shoulder, "and this is Aife."

"Urgh wazzat?" Naomi groggily opened her eyes and propped herself on one elbow. There was a girl, maybe a bit older than her, standing there clutching a Togepi. She was blushing for some reason...how odd. Kinda cute in a way.

"I'm Emily...I'm sorry about my Togepi."

"Huh? Sorry for what...? Oh. Right, names, my name is Naomi. Nice to meetcha!" She gave a sleepy smile and nearly drifted off to sleep. Princess snorted and shook a little. "Oh yeah. This girl here is my partner Princess, ain't she the cutest thing?" There seemed to be another Pokemon crawling up Princess. Boy they sure were popular today hey?

Her gaze shifted back to the girl, Emily or something. "So like. You're a trainer too then? That's pretty yawns pretty cool...Do ya need something?" Usually trainers wanted to battle when they came up like that right? "Is it a battle you want? I dunno if I'm ready for that. Or is it something else?"

There were more people gathering around. Did she not get the memo there was a party happening here or something? Maybe she should...get up before she...fell...."Zzzzzz...."

Princess rolled her eyes and shook Naomi off of her, carefully avoiding disturbing the other Pokemon. The girl hit the ground and woke with a start.

Springing to her feet and looking around wildly Naomi's eyes settled again on the new girl. "Oh hello again, good ta see you! What's up?"

Aron, the Iron Armor Pokémon

“Ji-Jiron, wait!”

Earlier that day, when she realized that she was going to get an Aron as a starter, Elchi was indescribably happy. Aggron was one of her mother’s favorite Pokémon after all, and from when she was still a little kid, she grew to like it too.

Though, what she got was something that’s not what she’s expecting.

[divider1]

“Uh, miss Elchi, there’s something that I need to tell you about that little Aron.”

“Hm, what’s up with him?”

“Well…he’s…”

[divider1]

Aron has a body of steel. With one all-out charge, this Pokémon can demolish even a heavy dump truck. The destroyed dump truck then becomes a handy meal for the Pokémon.

“No, no, no!

Jiron, you can’t eat that!”

Moments before Jiron could start eating up a street lamp on the park, Elchi jumped at him, and held it still into the ground before he was calm enough for her to grab him and hold into him as she continued her walk around the park.

“You’re quite a handful, aren’t you?”

[divider1]

“Well, when you said you prefer to have a Steel-type, we realized that we only have this little one left in this lab.

Are you sure about picking him?”

“Yeah, one hundred percent sure.”

[divider1]

Steel/Rock type

Male

Ability: Sturdy

Likes to eat

While it would be far more convenient for her to just put Jiron into his ball, Elchi was completely determined to try bonding with her starter for now. She found the Aron to be quite cute, despite being a complete pain to handle so far, and besides, they’re partners. The bond shared between a trainer and their Pokémon extends far more than the bond between master and servant, owner and pet, and employer and employee after all. They’re supposed to stand on an equal footing with their trainers, as friends.

Thinking about it made Elchi sigh. She was reminded on how someone took the Skarmory that had become her partner for the last two years not long ago. That was definitely still something that quite pissed her off even until now.

Though, chances were, if she kept on travelling on this region, then she’d be able to meet him again sooner or later.

After around fifteen more minutes of walking, Elchi realized that Jiron was quite heavier than she thought, and thus, she decided to let him go from her hold, while hoping that he didn’t get into another m-

And before her could even finish, the Aron had launched himself into the sky somehow, just not far from a group of people that she assumed to be trainers, and their Pokémon. It then started to come crashing down shrouded in a blue-white aura, like some sort of a miniature meteorite descending from the sky.

One minute later, after a small crater was made around a meter from the group, and Elchi managed to get ahold of her Aron once again before it could actually create a bigger mess by hitting the other trainers and their Pokémon. Though, it seemed that the impact to the ground had made Jiron dizzy enough for him to cool down at the moment, thankfully.

Holding the Aron tightly near her chest, Elchi then went on and approached the group, thinking that maybe they could give her some tips on how to handle a Pokémon like Jiron. Not like she couldn't handle him by herself...but more help would definitely be appreciated.

Placing a Do not disturb sign on the table he was sitting at inside the pokemon center to eat his breakfast, Silver looked outside the window and reminisced about the boat ride here as he took regular bites. When a trainer stopped by his table to say hello, Silver noticed this from the corner of his eye and went *ahem* pointing to the sign prompting the trainer to move along.

When he had finished eating, he let Totodile out of his pokeball and said to him "Right Totodile, you ready to head on over to the lab?" Totodile nodded as he jumped onto Silver's shoulder who then picked up the Do not disturb sign and placed it back in his bag before leaving the pokemon center.

--

As soon as he stepped foot in the lab he was greeted by the professor's assistant standing at the counter. "Good morning I'm Migite, the professor's assistant. May I have your name?" Silver walked towards the counter and introduced himself "I'm Silver Yuja."
"I see, your box should be located... ah here it is." Migite said whilst he was lookng around for Silver's box. "Inside you'll find 5 pokeballs and a pokedex." Silver thanked the assistant and headed out the lab which led to the town's park.

Upon reaching the park, he noticed a fair few trainers have congregated. "Looks like we're not alone eh Totodile?" He was able to recognise a number of pokemon given that they were native to the Johto region, but he had to use his pokedex for the unrecognisable pokemon of the group.
"Oshawott, the Sea Otter pokemon. Oshawott is one of the three starter pokemon new trainers can start off with in the Unova region."

There was one trainer that caught his eye however, and that was the trainer with the Horsea and started walking towards her. He knew that Horsea is the first evolution of Kingdra from his studies, thus he had some idea of Horsea's characteristics. Noticing its trainer yawn, he took the opportunity to say "Your Horsea looks happy splashing about in the water." not expecting a reply.

Seeing more people arrive with their Pokémon, Azure done a quick scan obtaining info on an Elekid, a Horsea, a Weedle and a Swinub. The park was getting busier by the minute, with more trainers arriving, Azure decided that he would listen in to the group of trainers and then leave after a couple of minutes. Before he stood up, Azure was approached by the owner of the Swinub, "Excuse me, what's the name of your Pokemon? I've never seen in before." Looking at the trainer, who looked 17 or 18 years older with decently toned muscles, Azure decided to answer him "Oshawott, now if that's all I'll be on my way." Getting up and heading towards the group, Azure remembered when he first got Nobu.

It was while he was working part-time in the Aspertia City Pokémart. He had came home one day to find a box and letter on his desk. All the letter had on it was 6 words.

"Hope you enjoy you new partner"

There was no name on the letter and opening the box he found a Pokéball which contained Nobu. He then spent his time between work and getting used to Nobu.

Stepping out of his past, Azure decided to try and see if anyone would join him around the region. Upon arriving with the group more people had arrived, he saw a girl with an Aron and a boy with a Totodile. Not wanting to say anything to attract attention to himself, Azure placed himself near the group to see if anyone would want to accompany him on his journey. Bringing out Nobu's food from his bag, Azure asked Nobu the same question he had asked himself before hundreds of times "Do you thing I can make friends Nobu." Nobu looked at Azure and nodded, Azure smiled knowing that he and his partner had similar personalities.

"That's pretty yawns pretty cool...Do ya need something?"  - Emily giggled at Naomi's yawn, and found it kinda cute. When the thought went through her head, she blushed even more - "O-oh it's nothing, never mind that. I jus-" -  Princess, whose nickname Emily wouldn't bother discussing, interrupted Emily when she shook Naomi off her. She was about to concern herself for Naomi's safety, but the fall only finished waking her up.

Togepi was soon joined by a happy little Elekid, and Emily turned her attention towards him. She carefully pat the electric Pokemon -"Hey little guy, who is your trainer?" - upon looking at her surroundings, she found a young male trainer sitting where she had been. Emily placed Spike back on Princess' back and greeted the man. - "Are you with Elekid? Hello, I'm Emily. What's your name?" - Emily happily stated as she extended her hand to the trainer.

-------------------------

The eyes were getting angry, too many people invading their home. The pair of red dots started multiplying, and soon there were enough creatures hidden in the trees for every trainer. They flew out and attacked.

--------------------------

Before Emily got her response, an ear-splitting shriek made her cover hers instantly. When she looked up, a swarm of Ninjask had emerged from a nearby tree, and were getting ready to attack. She popped her PokeDex open and quickly checked the info.

Ninjask, the Ninja Pokemon

Bug/Flying Type

Its cry leaves a lasting headache if heard for too long. It moves so quickly that it is almost invisible.

"Guys, we got a situation here!" - As Emily spoke, Spike jumped off of Princess and walked toward her.

Two last Pokemon emerged from the tree, as a pair of Shedinja hit the ground with a thud.

Shedinja, the Shed Pokemon

Bug/Ghost Type

Shedinja’s hard body doesn’t move—not even a twitch. In fact, its body appears to be merely a hollow shell. It is believed that this Pokémon will steal the spirit of anyone peering into its hollow body from its back.

Alexander arrived to the island that day, he was very excited so he went immediately to the Pokémon lab.

"Good Morning! I'm Migite, the professor's assistant, i guess you're here for your Starter Pokèmon right?"His hair was very messy, and it looked like he hadn't slept from 2001 "Yes... i am" I shyly answered.

"Let me search for the box, wait here a second." He said while throwing piles of documents and probably really important scientific researches around the room "Here you go! Your Starter Kit, inside there is your starter Pokémon, Scatterbug, a Pokédex and 5 extra Pokéballs to catch some Pokémons" "Thanks a lot!" i answered with the biggest of smiles, i was so excited, i could finally go on an adventure!

"Bye! Thanks a lot!" i said as i left the lab.

I opened the box, and i let my Scatterbug out of his pokèball.

"Oma how cute! What should i name you?" i said as my notebook filled with various sketches and drawings fell out of my bag. The notebook opened on the page were i drew a Calaca.

"This mustn't be a coincidence, i decided! Your name is now Calaca!".

Then i looked at my pokédex, i've never held one in my hands, i just seen some from my old friends in Unova. The Pokédex suddenly started analyizing Calaca.

Scatterbug, the Scatterdust Pokémon

Bug type

Female

Nature:Calm

Ability: Shield Dust

Moves:

Tackle, String Shot, Stun Spore, Poison Powder.

"I don't think all that information was necessary, but thanks anyway Pokédex".

I looked around and saw a road, it lead to a park full of people, probably new trainers.

I looked at my Scatterbug, "Well you probably aren't very fast are you? It's better if i take you on my shoulders" and we went to the park.

It was full of trainers, and the first thing that i did was analyze all their pokémons, and they were so many, from a Rhyorn to a Horsea.

Then suddenly my Scatterbug started shooting cobwebs allover the place, even hitting a Aron right in the face.

"Oh my Arceus, i'm so sorry, i didn't mean to!"

Even though he was embarrassed, he felt like his Pokémon adventure was after a very good start.

~ BG music: Johto Rival Battle ~

As an ear-splitting shriek surrounded the area, Silver did not hesitate to cover his ears and slowly tilted his head towards the source of the shriek, unfortunately he couldn't recognise the pokemon so he scanned them in his pokedex.
"Ninjask, the Ninja pokemon. Its cry leaves a lasting headache if heard for too long. It moves so quickly that it is almost invisible.
Bug/Flying"

"I see, so they're speedy buggers huh?" Silver thought as he put his pokedex in his pocket not realising that he inadvertantly made a bad pun. "Ready to battle Totodile?" He asked as the Big Jaw pokemon had already taken the hint and leapt off his shoulder, landing in front of him.

As soon as he prepared for battle, a loud thud could be heard, prompting Silver to scan the other pokemon in his pokedex.
"Shedinja, the Shed pokemon. Shedinja’s hard body doesn’t move—not even a twitch. In fact, its body appears to be merely a hollow shell. It is believed that this Pokémon will steal the spirit of anyone peering into its hollow body from its back.
Bug/Ghost"

Focusing his attention back to the Ninjask, Silver began giving Totodile commands. "Alright Totodile, since they're flying-types let's start with Ice Punch!" Totodile's fist froze up as he leapt off the ground careering towards one of the Ninjask, however it just managed to dodge the attack. Of course this didn't concern Silver one bit as the pokedex said that Ninjask move quickly.

(Bleh, nothing like being unable to get on your laptop because of it not being in the same city as you...that's fixed now, though.)

A man dressed in bright attire had been taking a light snooze on one of the park benches that day, his wide-brimmed yellow hat covering his face to block out the sunlight. He was clearly taller than the bench in question by a few feet, with legs covered by purple suit pants hanging over the armrest at one end and his head resting on the other.

While no one would know it just by looking at this strangely-dressed man, he has had quite a long day of...trying...to teach a particular Pokemon in his care a certain move, not that he was all that successful so far.

"Cysero...get out of my Pokedex." The man suddenly sat up after moving the hat back to the top of his head, revealing mildly-spiky blue hair and neon-green eyes as he did. A muffled sound came from out of his yellow suit jacket, which he pulled back before reaching into a pocket on the inside of the jacket before pulling out a thin red device and flipping it open.

As soon as he did, anyone else around him would have started hearing the sound of a Porygon panicking at him, which is exactly what was displayed on the screen of his older-generation Pokedex. However, this particular human heard something else...

"But Neos, there's hostile incoming! And two of them, I won't be able to hit!" Letting out a sigh, the tall stranger shook his head at what he was hearing.

"What in the Distortion do you mean 'you won't be able to hit them'," he questioned before the Porygon pulled up the image of a peculiar Pokemon.

Shedinja.

"F..." He was ready to let off a swear storm under his breath. He already knew the Virtual Pokemon didn't have any moves yet that could even affect them yet, which meant that it would be in loads of trouble if the Porygon left the safety of his Pokedex and tried to fight for the time being. "How many?"

"Two. There's also a swarm of Ninjask as well." Just as he got up onto his yellow dress shoes, a thought crossed his mind, which prompted the odd human to return his gaze to the screen.

"Wait, how do you know what's nearby?" At this point did the Porygon on the screen of the Pokedex appear to shut its eyes, a crystalline sweatdrop coming down the side of its face. "Cys..."

"I programmed a radar into it." The human realized he was staring midway in before looking up toward the sun above.

"You can program a radar into probably a first-generation Pokedex and yet you haven't figured out how to float to move around? Keep track of everything, I'll go check out the wave."

"Will do, Neos." With that did the human close the 'dex before sliding it back into the inside jacket pocket, illuminated briefly by the glowing blue gem hanging on a simple golden chain over his heart...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh, holy..." He had arrived just in time to see the swarm in the distance attacking other trainers and their Pokemon, most of them looking new to the training scene, keeping himself out of view as he did. He caught sight of ten Ninjask in addition to the two Shedinja he had been warned about. "Cysero, stay in the 'dex and figure out what move types can hurt the Sheds. I'll get the Ninjask handled." He jumped into the branches of a tall tree, disappearing into the leaves completely. A brief flash of blue light emerged from among the leaves while the others weren't looking before what looked like a Ninetales jumped down from the branches, its eyes a neon-green color and an uncut blue gem hanging around its neck like a loose-fitting collar.
"Hey," the Ninetales shouted towards the various Bug-type Pokemon in obvious challenge. "Unless you all want to be on the recieving end of a Heat Wave, I'd suggest getting the Distortion out of here right now!"
If anyone were to dare aim their Pokedex at the newly-arrived fox Pokemon, they were see that things weren't what they appeared...
Azure looked around, he knew that Nobu couldn't keep up with the Ninjasks as he was so he looked at the slower targets. The Shedninja had hit the ground and from what he had heard they were hard to beat. The sudden swarm had approached them giving them little time to really prepare so this was Azure's chance to show his skills. Nodding at Nobu, Azure got close to the ground. The only move Nobu had which could damage the Shedninja was difficult to use so it had a tendency to miss.
Azure looked at his first target, the closest Shedninja to him, "Nobu use Air Slash," just like he knew it would most of Nobu's shots missed the target though one shot managed to hit, "Good job Nobu now on to the next one." Looking at the last Shedninja it seemed like it would take longer. Nobu's stray shots had entered into the swarm of Ninjask making him the main threat. Muttering his annoyance Azure called out to Nobu to follow him, all he could do now was hope someone would get the attention of the Ninjask so he could get back to defeating the final Shedninja. While trying to outrun the Ninjask Azure thought he saw a flash from one of the trees but ignored it.
After a few minutes of running Azure found out he wasn't being chased, turning around he saw why a Ninetails had appeared in the park and that was what had taken the Ninjasks interest.
"Your Horsea looks happy splashing about in the water."
Corinne blinked, caught mid-yawn. Remembering herself, she closed her mouth and tried to put her thoughts into order. She glanced at the black-haired boy above her before stretching and sitting up, nodding at him in greeting. She was about to greet him when a shriek rent the air. Her head whipped to the side, and the girl noted a group of Ninjask and a pair of Shedinja. A familiar sight to her, being from Rustboro.
The brunette stumbled to her feet a beat behind the rest of them. I didn't expect to be ambushed in the park. Scooping up her Horsea and ignoring the splash of water that darkened her white labcoat, she immediately dismissed the Shedinja as opponents. "There's no use fighting them, what with their Wonder Guard ability..." she muttered to herself. She looked down at her starter. "Well, Dru, want to do some more target practice?"
The Horsea nodded, and Corinne glanced at the chaos in front of her. Ninjask have high speed...so the best way to deal with them is to either predict their patterns or... She grinned. Or lower their speed. "Dru, use Bubble!" True, it might not work, since they were so speedy, but Bubble wasn't a focused attack either. It tended to spread in all directions...like bubbles did.
At that moment, she noticed a Ninetales with strange neon green eyes and a collar of some sorts wrapped around its neck. Cocking her head in confusion, the girl tried to come to terms with this odd phenomenon, not even noticing when the Bubble attack managed to hit one of the Ninjask and subsequently lower its speed.
Hitting the ground after missing its target, Totodile became more determined to defeat its opponent. Silver on the other hand had noticed a blue flash from the corner of his right eye and simply shrugged it off initially and before he gave his Totodile another command, he heard an unfamiliar voice from his right.
The source surprised him however, he turned his gaze at the random Ninetales that had appeared on the scene. "What? There's no way.." Whilst he was unable to complete his sentence in disbelief, it seemed to have gotten the Ninjask's attention. "This gives me an idea." He thought as he turned to Totodile again.
"Totodile, use Water Gun to soak the Ninjask!" The Big Jaw pokemon sprayed a huge jet of water at the seemingly stationary target hoping to slow them down by soaking their wings, and it seemed that someone else had a similar idea as from the opposite side from where Totodile was firing, a flurry of bubbles were heading towards the Ninjask as well which had the possibility of lowering their speed for sure.
Whatever was going on with this blushing girl, Naomi had no idea. Before she could try and work it out with her half-asleep brain some Bug-Types came onto the scene.
"Oh. Well that probably should be dealt with." Everyone seemed to be springing to action. Things were super hectic. "Maybe we could just chill out back here and wait for them to get this done with." She said to Princess. The large Pokemon stared at her in annoyance. "Fiiiiine."
Looking over the battlefield. There seemed to be a bunch of those...Ninjask things, that was the name she thought. And one...something else. She had a device for this..somewhere...eh whatever.
The Ninjask probably would be too fast for Princess but that thing looked to be moving slowly. "Princess, Horn Attack that thingy there!" Princess rushed forward, as much rushing as the Rock/Ground type could do, and rammed at it with its horn.
And seemed to pass right through it. "Huh? That's...weird...um....Try again!" Princess must have just missed or something...that thing wasn't a Ghost-Type...was it? Looked pretty not ghost-y to her. "Horn Attack part two!"
Yet again Princess fazed right though, and then got struck by a Fury Swipes. Luckily it didn't do much at all.
Naomi finally remembered the Pokedex in her bag. "Heeeey this could help" After checking it and realizing it was, in fact, a Ghost Naomi started laughing. "Whoops!" Princess was probably too slow to deal with those Ninjask, who were now picking up speed even.
"Okay anyone who can nail that weird Ghost Bug, Princess can take it's hits for days so we'll keep it in one spot for yah. Princess lead that bugger away from the Ninjasks!"
"Spike, use Metronome!" - As they got the attention of a Ninjask, the Togepi started wagging its fingers to use a random move. Suddenly, Spike dashed at a speed that made it look like he had disappeared and reappeared next to the Ninjask, and landed a punch on one of the Ninjask before it had time to react. The Sucker Punch hit directly and there was visible damage on the Ninja Pokemon. Before he could make another move, the opposing Pokemon was distracted by another presence. Emily turned around and saw a Ninetails barking at the Bug Pokemons. She took the opportunity to add its data to the PokeDex, since the enemy was distracted.
Ditto, the Transform Pokemon
Normal Type
It can freely recombine its own cellular structure to transform into other life-forms.
"What the..." - Emily decided to ignore it, as the Ninjask was getting ready for another attack. -"One more Metronome, Spike!"
"This is gonna be a long fight" - Emily thought, as her Togepi missed a High Jump Kick attack, and hurt himself in the process.
As soon as she entered the group, a Scatterbug suddenly spewed cobwebs all over the place, hitting herself and her Aron awkwardly. Responding to that, Jiron almost went forwards to attack the Bug-type, but thankfully Elchi managed to stop him before he made the situation more awkward. Smiling a bit embarrassedly to the Scatterbug's trainer, Elchi then tried to introduce herself to the people there.
"Hello everyone, may I come he-"
Before she could even finish introducing herself, the group was interrupted by a swarm of Ninjasks and two Shedinjas. Despite Jiron's insistence on fighting them, Elchi clutched on him tightly to not let him go there and hurt himself more.
One of the Shedinja fell to a well placed Air Slash from what looked like an Oshawott, yeah it's probably that, while there's a Horsea and Totodile firing blasts of water to the group of Ninjasks.
...Aaand while she was watching the others handle the swarm, Jiron freed himself from Elchi's hold, and went charging straight towards the Shedinja that was left, which was busy futilely attacking a Ryhorn that kept it away from the group, from what it seemed like.
"Aaaa-rooon!"
Surrounded in a whitish blue aura, Jiron charged straight at the ghostly bug, and...he scored a direct hit to the Shedinja, instantly KOing it, but Jiron himself couldn't stop after doing so, and proceeded to continue his charge towards the Ninjask group that was currently being doused by the two Water Pokemon, while Elchi herself could only watch from the distance and panicking, not even sure whether she could go and stop Jiron herself this time without getting harmed by the Ninjasks.
"Oshawott, now if that's all I'll be on my way." Isaac turned around and looked at the young boy walking away. Shut down. Again.
Isaac looked over his shoulder after hearing an ear-piercing shriek, and noticed a large fight had broken out between all of the trainers at the park and a large group of Ninjasks. He didn't need a Pokedex to identify that Pokemon, as it was common to see them in Hoenn, his true home. "Porky, let's go!" Isaac and Porky dashed into the scene. "Now Porky! It's a Flying-type, so hit it with your Ice Sh-" Isaac paused before finishing the word, then look down and Porky with a sad expression. "Oh, right. You were never taught any Ice-type moves. Ok... then just attack it with..." Isaac grinned "BODY SLAM!" Porky dashed as fast as a baby swine could towards the flying bug and leapt into the air, ready to slam into the Pokemon opposing it. Unfortunately the Ninjask moved out of the way, and Porky crashed into the ground below it. Then, the Ninjask started to fly towards Porky and attempted to slash at it with a sharp, and quickly moving, black blur. "Porky!" Isaac yelled, as he started to run after his companion. As he was running, the Ninjask started to fly towards him, and he rapidly pivoted on the spot and ran away. 'Great,' Isaac thought 'Now I'M going to be injured by this thing as well.'
"Porky!" Isaac looked backwards, and saw that his friend had been chasing after him. "Tackle it down, now!" The Swinub once again leapt into the air and smashed into the Ninjask's back, scoring what looked like a critical hit. The two Pokemon tumbling onto the ground, hitting Isaac in the head on the way down. All three of them looked injured, with various brusies and cuts on their bodies. The Ninjask and Isaac both got up at the same time. Isaac picked up his furry buddy and once again started to run away from the evil Pokemon. As Isaac was running he saw an Aron charging towards some water-type Pokemon, who were also fighting Ninjasks. He had a plan.
Isaac started to run towards the Aron. "Porky, Dig! Keep heading forward's too!" Porky instantaneously leapt out of Isaac's arms and dug into the ground. This made the wild Ninjask to start flying down low, in an attempt to chase after the digging Pokemon. Isaac then jumped out of the way of the Aron, and it bowled over the low-flying Ninjask. "Yes! It actually worked. Porky, you can come out now!" Porky created a hole in the Earth's surface, and Isaac picked him up.
Isaac's work was done, but he could see that various trainers were still fighting some Pokemon and that Aron hadn't stopped charging. So he decided to run a little ways away from the park and watch from a safe distance.
Corinne glanced at the chaos around her, from the Oshawott and Rhyhorn targeting the Shedinja to the Togepi attacking the Ninjask to the Scatterbug that had started spraying cobwebs everywhere. There was also the Ninetales that had distracted the group of Ninjask as well as the other water-user on the other side of said group of bugs.
"Aaaa-rooon!"
That was all the warning the girl got that a small, silver-and-black quadruped was charging right toward the group of Ninjask her Horsea and the other water Pokémon were targeting. It was an Aron, another Hoenn native. Thankfully her Horsea was tucked in her arms instead of in the middle of the fray, though she wondered about the other water type and the Aron. It would be unfortunate if they were to attack each other in the melee. Speaking of... "Stop attacking, Dru," she commanded in the authoritative tone she reserved for training and battling. It would hardly be good manners to attack another trainer's Pokémon when they were not opponents, accident or not.
Dru stopped immediately. Despite his somewhat disagreeable personality (he really hated to lose to others), Dru was obedient to a fault. She had trained him to be. After all, she wanted to become a professor in Pokémon personalities in the future. What kind of specialist would she be if she couldn't even get her own Pokémon to listen to her?
Corinne was distracted by her thoughts when she noted the trainer with the Swinub from earlier cleverly using Dig to goad the Ninjask into lowering their height, leaving them prey to the charging Aron. "Teamwork," the girl nodded in satisfaction. "Perhaps this battle will be over sooner than I thought. And once there's no danger of hitting our allies, use Bubble, all right Dru?"
The Horsea nodded and they both returned to watching the Ninjask warily.
"Hey, Neos, I think you can pull back, one of them can go after the Shedinjas," the Ninetales heard from within the large bundle of fur on its chest in Porygon-speak, allowing the cream-colored vulpine to shift from a defensive form to a more-relaxed one, a smirk suddenly appearing on its face.
"You're gonna have to recopy Levitate later, but I have an idea for you dealing with the Ninjasks at your own pace, Cys," it barked to itself before jumping back up into the tree it hopped out of from then chain-jumping a tree or two away. Out of the last tree that the Ninetales jumped into, a brightly-colored man with neon-green eyes and dark-green pupils and an uncut blue gem hanging on a simple golden chain suddenly landed upon the ground feet-first. Suddenly pulling back a part of the yellow jacket, he pulled out his older-generation Pokedex before opening it up.
"Alright, Cysero, get out of my 'dex, use Trace on the remaining Shedinja, and slam the Ninjasks with Psybeam."
"Aye, aye, sir!" Giving a salute to the blue-haired human in a wierd way, the human aimed the front of the 'dex in the general direction of the Ninjask swarm before a beam of red light left the device similar to how a Pokemon is often oddly recalled into their Pokeballs. Forming at the end is what looked like a normal-looking Porygon that seemed to always be wearing a smirk on what would pass as its beak, whom turned toward the one still-remaining Shedinja and allowed its eyes to glow. The Shedinja flashed briefly, followed by the Porygon flashing as well with its grin getting even bigger. Now, unless something fired a Fighting-type move at it, next to nothing was gonna hurt it now. "In comes the beams," it practically chirped in happiness before beginning to fire away at the flying bugs with a light-purple beam of energy towards as many as it could hit, taking advantage of the fact that, miraculously, Bug-types do not resist Psychic moves...
