YCM's Seasonal Anime Character Tournament - Summer 2014

 
[spoiler=Rules]-All YCM rules apply
-People will pick 1 favorite character from every anime they've watched during the Summer 2014 anime season
-I count up the nominations
-The top 2 of each anime will participate in a tournament (tournament style depends how many contestants, but usually single elimination)
-For some reason, there will be a third place
-All nominations must be in by the time I check on the 16th (that's a little over 10 days)
-If there are any ties, the first 1 (or 2) nominated in the tie will move on to the tournament
-Explaining something to make sure there are no questions about the rule above, the "or 2 in a tie". This is if there are more than two in the tie, and no one has more nominations than the characters in the tie (no further explanation necessary).
-If there are less than 32 characters in by the last day, the people who've already nominated can nominate 4 more characters, ignoring the limit on what anime the characters are from, and the max number of characters from one anime goes up from 2 to 3, until there are 32 characters in
-Matches can end by a mercy ruling, if one character is 5 or more votes ahead of the other
-I'll try to make the votes public. If I forget you can even feel me u- I mean kick my butt or something.

-NEW: From now on, this is how the first round will be randomized if the number of contestants is 17-31 or more than 32. The only difference will be another round if there is more than 32.[/spoiler]

Hanayamata: Policeman Actually this is difficult of a choice....I see myself similar to Naru in many ways, Tami and Yaya are both really great too though. All of them are, though those stand out to me.

Since for round two I need to do 8 3 person matches (instead of 12) to lower them to 16 (then I can start 2 person matches), I was thinking of taking one from each of the first 3 matches for the first round two match, one from the second 3 matches for the second, etc. Is that all right with 2-3 people-pri?

 

If it's not (or if 0-1 people respond), I'll go ahead and randomize again for round two tomorrow-pri.

How would the all of a year work again? Most if not all of the nominations get in and we don't have a limit of nominations (obviously we need some kind of limit, but I'd just love to see it more than just the number of 4 seasons combined, just because)? Well, I know it'll be a huge one any way you slice it in terms of how much any one person nominates OR if everyone from any given series that's nominated gets in.

Not sure. Was thinking you get more nominations (like 3 per anime) and the top 3 would get in (instead of 2), and it'll take longer because it's way bigger (likely).
