Because I Got An Idea From Seeing The Corrupted Bujingi [Bujingi Pendulums]

Recommended Posts

Basically, the idea is that these are the de-corrupted versions of Pavo, Raven, Sinyou, and Warg, only now with Hirume's colors. They have glowing golden bodies, silver and white armor, and smooth, futuristic, and almost feminine designs to their bodies.

Also, they are Pendulums.

Bujingi Peahen
LIGHT/Winged Beast/Pendulum/Effect/Level 4/1600 ATK/900 DEF
Blue Scale 3 <-> Red Scale 3
Pendulum Effect: Whenever you Normal or Special Summon a Beast-Warrior-Type "Bujin" monster(s): You can draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect of a "Bujingi Peahen" once per turn.
Monster Effect: You can only activate this effect of a "Bujingi Peahen" once per turn. When this card is Pendulum Summoned: You can activate 1 of the following effects.
● Send 1 "Bujin" monster from your hand to the Graveyard, then target 1 of your banished Level 4 "Bujin" monsters; Special Summon it, but its effects are negated.
● Target 2 Level 4 "Bujin" monsters in your Graveyard; banish the first target, then Special Summon the second target, but its effects are negated.

Bujingi Eagle
LIGHT/Winged Beast/Pendulum/Effect/Level 4/1500 ATK/1000 DEF
Blue Scale 5 <-> Red Scale 5
Pendulum Effect: All "Bujin" monsters you control gain 100 ATK for every "Bujin" card in your Graveyard. All "Bujin" monsters you control gain 100 DEF for every banished "Bujin" card.
Monster Effect: When this card is Pendulum Summoned: You can target 1 "Bujin" card in your Graveyard and 1 banished "Bujin" card; shuffle both into your Deck, then draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect of a "Bujingi Eagle" once per turn.

Bujingi Unicorn
LIGHT/Beast/Pendulum/Effect/Level 4/1400 ATK/1100 DEF
Blue Scale 3 <-> Red Scale 3
Pendulum Effect: Whenever you Xyz Summon an Xyz Monster using a "Bujin" monster(s) that you control as Xyz Material(s): Inflict 300 damage to your opponent.
Monster Effect: When this card is Pendulum Summoned, if you control a face-up Beast-Warrior-Type "Bujin" monster: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it, then, if you control a face-up "Bujin" Xyz Monster, banish the target instead of sending it to the Graveyard. You can only activate this effect of a "Bujingi Unicorn" once per turn.

Bujingi Coyote
LIGHT/Beast/Pendulum/Effect/1300 ATK/1800 DEF
Blue Scale 5 <-> Red Scale 5
Pendulum Effect: If a Beast-Warrior-Type "Bujin" monster attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step.
Monster Effect: You can only activate this effect of a "Bujingi Coyote" once per turn. When this card is Pendulum Summoned: You can activate 1 of the following effects.
● Target 1 "Bujin" Pendulum Monster in your Graveyard; place it face-up on top of your Extra Deck.
● Target 1 banished "Bujin" Pendulum Monster; place it face-up on top of your Extra Deck.

These are honestly pretty great.  I don't know what playstyle you designed these cards for, but I'm going to analyze them based on how I play Bujins, which is the Bujintei Turbo varient.

  • Eagle is incredibly lackluster in the Pendulum zone.  That attack boost is pretty insignificant with how fast this game has gotten.  the monster effect is pretty great though.  Resetting Arasuda and Yamato is always a plus.
  • Peahen is just downright amazing.  Would run at 3 without question.  Fantastic in the Pendulum zone and a Swarming effect when summoned.  What more can you ask for?
  • Unicorn is pretty decent.  I would in every case prefer Peahen as the Scale 3, since the draw far outclasses a slight burn, but the popping effect is very strong.  Maybe would run 2.
  • Coyote is just as flipping awesome as Peahen.  Protects your stuff, and instead of swarming it recycles everything on this list, setting you up for next turn.

If I were to say anything bad about this set, it's that Eagle and Unicorn seem just a tad underpowered compared to Peahen and Coyote. Other than that fantastic job.

Also maybe they should have a different name?  Like the Warlords are the Bujins, the (assistants?  I don't know what else to call them) are the Bujingi, and the Gods are the Bujintei.  Perhaps the Pendulums could have a new identifier to them since they don't really act as Bujingis.  I however have no idea what that suffix would be, as I am completely in the dark about the the japanese legends of which the names originate.

Well, the idea behind the Pendulums is that they are modified versions of Pavo (aka Peacock), Raven (aka Crow), Sinyou (aka Quilin), and Warg (aka Wolf).
However, they are now Hirume's own Bujingi, and, as the goddess in charge of realm of Takamagahara the Bujins protect, she gets special supportive Bujingi that have a unique power: the Pendulum ability.
They are Bujingi (War God Relics). They just help out in a different way than the others do.
And yes, the friend that suggested this idea to me uses Bujintei Turbo as well. :)
I could increase Eagle's buff to 200 per card. I wasn't sure what to do about Unicorn's Pendulum effect, though. I tried to base the effects off of their other two variants.
Peacock and Pavo help get out Bujins, Crow and Raven are offense-oriented, Quilin and Sinyou are like Crow and Raven, and Warg and Wolf protect cards.
Any suggestions?
