CLG Klavier
Possible targets are: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Amulet_Dragonhttp://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Magician_Girl_the_Dragon_Knighthttp://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Flare_Knighthttp://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Paladin Just thought it warrants at least a little discussion given the new Dark Magician support from OCG. Dark Flare is horrible, but the rest... Dark Magician Girl is quickplay-speed removal, so it's pretty nice. Amulet Dragon is huge and brings back a DM when it dies, and Dark Paladin fucks over with Nekroz, Qlis etc. Good? Maybe not. Interesting? Certainly. mshends
This is a good card to use in a Dark Magician base deck, but it require you being lucky enough to draw this card and have Dark magician on your side of the field. The fusion is decent, but not too broken to to useful when against current tier 1-2. Well I just wish that this card is search able in the future (and whats with the only one per turn thing on anyway, just seem pointless putting it there)

Just Crouton
Would be a crap-ton better there were Level 4- DM support that copy DM/DMG's names on the field/Graveyard.
Synchronized
Such an overpriced card, too. It's fun though in the Prisma build.
evilfusion
It's probably overpriced because it's high in demand. But not because it's an amazing, meta-level card, but because it's The Eye of Timaeus. You know, one of the cards that fans wanted to be released for like a decade. Even casual fans probably want this card.
Toffee.
Prisma copies any of the names Phantom of Chaos becomes Prisma, who then becomes any of the names. Dark Magician's endless support can supply you with a target. .... Yet, Timaeus is unsearchable :kappa:

Jord200
Just curious, was this a Short Print? I NEVER see them.
Synchronized
It was a short-print, yeah. Along with Amulet Dragon and DMG the Dragon Knight, but this was like 1-2 per case.
Jord200
Typical Konami. That's just like them. I knew I shouldn't have traded away my Amulet Dragon. Well Criteas is almost for sure getting printed in the next few months, what are the odds this gets reprinted? Less than 0..........
evilfusion
I dunno, I could see this being reprinted in a tin or something.
Jord200
I guess. I didn't consider that. I feel like Konami will for sure reprint Criteas and Timaeus when we get Heramos, assuming they go in order from what I THINK was the order they appeared in the anime. Its been years. I don't remember.
- Minimania -
Well, at least we're getting them.
Armoire
Well, at least we're getting them. Yeah, you have to appreciate the fact that they at least had the effort to make them. But at the same time, I wish they would have made more Dark Magician [Girl] Fusions to make this card be used more often.
heraldry_lord
I'm concerned about how they will handle Critias and Hermos. They weren't exactly the most conventional cards in the anime.
玄魔の王
I'm concerned about how they will handle Critias and Hermos. They weren't exactly the most conventional cards in the anime. Hermos is easy, you make the Fusion Monsters all pseudo-Unions and then A) give them an archetype condition to limit it to just the Hermos Fusions, or B) have it target a "Red-Eyes" monster, "Time Wizard" or a LIGHT Warrior-Type monster (Both Rocket Warrior and Queen's Knight) if you want it to work outside the Legendary Fusions as Timaeus does. Critias is a bit tricker, but the best way to do it is to make it a NEX-type card where the Fusions have no listed materials and are also treated as their base Trap Card for name identification. Should they choose to side with the dub and make Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon its own card (in the Japanese version it's just Blue-Eyes powered up by Tyrant Burst Dragon's effect), they can make it a contact fusion. That would take up a lot of text to do all that restriction, I think just marking the Fusion Materials on the Fusion Monster cards as such would be enough. NO! NEX was a TERRIBLY designed mechanic and they should never do anything like it again. That name sharing is what killed it. The easiest thing to do with Critias would be make them a contact fusion series.

Neutrality Man
Contact Fusion between what? Legendary Dragon Critias Effect Monster Level 4 Dragon-type 1500 / 1500 You can reveal 1 face-down "Virus" or "Mirror Force" [or "Tyrant Wing" (if it's printed as well)] Trap Card you control, Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only Special Summon "Legendary Dragon Critias" this way once per turn. You can reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck that lists this card as a Fusion Material Monster; send this card and 1 Trap card listed as a Fusion Material card you control to the Graveyard, Special Summon the revealed Fusion Monster. (This Special Summon is treated as Fusion Summon)
CalmDown
I can picture Doom Virus Dragon with an requirement like 1 dark dragon + 1 dark fiend type or can be special suoned with fang of critias but for critias in general I think it will have an effect like target one set trap card you control and fusion summon 1 monster from your extra deck that includes the trap's name and tribute that trap. Jord200
But wouldn't they make it a Spell like Timaeus? Besides, Timaeus worked with Monsters. Criteas was Traps. Heramos became an Equip Spell.

No, the problem with NEX was the targets were already mediocre, and the new targets didn't do enough to make them worth it. As for names, I doubt anybody would run more than 2 of the Trap and 1 of the Fusion (hell, CCV will likely be Limited for a while).
