Fire Emblem: Alter [OOC/Temporarily Not Accepting] [PG-16] [Co-hosted by Sethera and Lord CowCow]

Recommended Posts

For Baron Von Hollow:

Based on what type of units we need, I would say Archer would be better than Bull Rider, especially since I believe we already have a Bull Rider.

But whatever works better for the character is good.

Edit: Also, would it be possible to list what character is what class in the first post? I could compile the list if necessary, but it would be helpful to see.

Alright, so, given that I have plans on making a character, but a good deal of roles are already taken, between the designated flier and the designated archer, don't really know which one to pick. So, which would you all think is more useful at this point for the party?

Honestly, while we DO need an archer quite a bit, we've pretty much got all the bases covered so far. But if I had to choose, I'd say go for Archer because I was told we have a Pegasus Knight in the works still .3. If you want to make a Wyvern Rider I wouldn't say no to that either, but an Archer would be more advantageous at the moment.

Just a thought, but could we be over crowding the Rp with characters trying to make the perfect army?

We currently have 12 characters, with I believe 3/4 more being planned? Not sure.

But I think that should be enough.

That being said. I am not the main host. However. I believe that, unless Yosuke says otherwise, any character that hasn't been mentioned already as being possibly made (Your second one, Gamemaster's second, Birdie/Justine, Skaia....I think that's all?)

Anyway, any besides those...pls no. At least for now.

15 seems like it should be the max tbh

Yes, this has been ok'd by Yosuke-kun.
"No... you are correct. I am terribly aware my lord is no longer on the side of justice, or if he ever was. Yet I cannot... will not abandon my king, or my country in their time of need!"

Name: Lady Sartoria Valessia, the Grand Warlock of House Valessia

Age: 32

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Class: Sorcerer

Country of Origin: Gangala
- Luna

- Fimbulvetr: An extremely powerful tome under the Wind sub-set of Nature Magic. It is said to be able to conjure the frigid North Winds themselves. Royal tome of the Valessia blood line.

Bolganone

- Concoction x2

A kind-hearted and benevolent young woman Sartoria's reputation for generosity far precedes in many of the other nations in Krezia. So to many it came as shock when the powerful mage sided with King Baraan in his genocidal campaign. While her heart ached for the suffering of both the people Emerys and Gangala, but could not bring herself to defy Rathmaar. It was not fear, or a belief that he had noble goals which stayed Sartoria's hand, but loyalty to her king. A fiercely loyal woman Sartoria will serve her Lord to the bitter end, though the reason for this undying, and undeserved loyalty remains unknown.

Indeed Sartoria herself is quite a mystery, acting polite and soft-spoken but not shy by any means. She is a reserved character who tends to keep to herself, though it should be noted that this wasn't always the case. She is noted as being far more jovial and outgoing before the war. Now there are few and far between occasions where Sartoria is seen outside the case, and even fewer in which they are of her own volition, and not leading Gangala's troops against the Emerysian rebellion movements. A once spirited and bright young woman she is now content to spend much of her time locked away in her quarters reading or painting.

Due to her to generally quiet demeanor, and tendency to distance herself from others emotional Sartoria remains quite an enigmatic individual despite being well known across not just Gangala but all of Krezia. Due to many of her friends being either dead or heaving defected no longer being able to serve Rathmaar in good conscience much of Sartoria's true nature remains shrouded in fog.

NSE6We5.jpg

Sartoria is of average if not slightly short height standing at about 5'6" (171 cm) and is slightly underweight at 119 lbs (53.97 kg). Due to her training primarily as a mage she is not very strong, and needs her subordinates, or servants to do anything that requires any sort of heavy lifting.

Sartoria is currently the oldest living member House Valessia a Gangalan Royal Family famous for their affinity for the magic arts. Since her birth Sartoria was surrounded by magic, and she can hardly remember a day when she wasn't studying to succeed her parents in their positions as Royal Mages. A skilled magician from the start Sartoria was able to easily master casting the magic contained in tomes. Sartoria's success in the magical arts is not only attributed to her family's magical affinity, but to her love of the magical practice as well. As a young girl she would often stay up until the wee hours of the morning studying and perfecting her craft.

Despite her rather studious tendencies Sartoria was not without social grace either. As Gangalan royals Sartoria often attended lavish dances and interacted with many of the Krezian elite. A very sociable young lady Sartoria easily fit in to the noble scene and got to know and befriend many of the other noble children with whom she would one day work with as a Royal Mage. As a young girl Sartoria would often travel into town as well to purchase her supplies, and along the way often was sidetracked having conversations with just random city-goers, or watching the workers even at times assi

At the age of 18 having reached adulthood Sartoria was brought to the Gangalan Royal Palace to be formally trained to one day become a Royal Mage as her parents before. In a few short years Sartoria had surpassed even the magical might of her parents, and at the age of 22 she was became the leader of the Royal Mage, awarded the title of Archmage. Even after being named Gangala's Archmage Sartoria continued her study into the magical arts, and under her Gangala achieved many magical breakthroughs. This changed however when the throne changed hands between father and son.

When Rathmaar seized the throne of Gangala many of the Royal Mages opposed the new King's plan, and were swiftly executed, including some by Sartoria's own hands as proof of her of loyalty. Among those who opposed the upstart King were Sartoria's own parents, and while their fate was never truly known many believed they were executed by Rathmaar. Once the purge of "traitors" had ended few mages were left still alive, and even remained loyal to Gangala having fled the nation. One of the few still left standing Sartoria was rewarded by Rathmaar with an appointment as one of his Generals. It did not take long for Sartoria to prove her worth as a commander either decimating entire cities with army the Archmage was made one of Rathmaar's closest advisers as well as his tactician.

Sartoria participated in Arkaia, and was forced by Rathmaar to observe the executions of the prisoners who had surrendered after the city had been taken. It said by some that the mage woman locked herself in her room for several days after that refusing to allow anyone in, even her servants to provide food. When they finally dd break down the door the room was found destroyed and the Archmage was shrieking hysterically tears streaming down her eyes.

Despite this rumor the mage woman has made a name for herself as "Rathmaar's Dog", and the sins she has committed under Rathmaar's name have left not only a permanent mark on soul, but on the hearts both the people of Emerys who now hate her, and the hearts of the people of Gangala who feel betrayed by the noble whom the once recognized as a kind hearted little girl. She Whose Heart hath been Pledged to Darkness

...Can I just say?

She terrifies me a little bit.

And I am NOT looking forward to eventually facing her...

Anyone being compared to Jibril is no one I want to have on the opposite side of the battlefield.

Honestly, the game balance doesn't even matter. The only important thing is that the characters get along. We aren't actually going to be moving these units about a grid, so... :V

True. The lack of armor at the beginning was a problem though because well... it's an army and soldiers wear armor... Sooooo yeah

Well I mean Elly always is an exception to my rules, of course. XP

But yeah I forgot you mentioned this one sorry. ^^;

Yeahhh another problem I forgot... There's one more character we need but I think I'm gonna have to end up playing him.
iB3qMzY.jpg?1

"Sorry, but you're mistaken. I'm no prince. Just a humble sell sword."

Name: Asher Baraan

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Class: Lord (Axe)
Regnaga (The axe but more of a two handed hold) - The axe used by Graam Baraan the Mountain in his battle against Seith the Oppressor. It's a holy artifact that's very precious to the country of Gangala, and the House of Baraan as well. Was passed down to Asher as a coming of age gift, and Asher took it with him when he left. Has lost it's power since it was last used but the blade was said to be capable of cutting through even the heaviest of armor. Made from an ancient material that has long since disappeared from Krezia.

Steel Axe

Hatchet - A standard wood cutting axe that can also be thrown like a hand axe. It's less effective, and takes more force to pierce armor when thrown, but still useful to have.

Concoction

Though he was born as the first son of the Gangalan Emperor, Asher is more easily described as a dashing rogue than a prince. This stands for both the good and the bad of Asher as well. Even while he was in the castle he disliked being served and refused to use any money he was given unless he felt he'd earned it. However, his idea of how to earn money was something of a... well he'd win his money by brawling with the common children of Mizool. Particularly the biggest ones. Yes, one princely aspect Asher has no small amount of is his cockiness. To be clear, he doesn't believe himself better than anyone and is more than okay to eat and drink with even paupers, but he does have an attitude that suggests he cannot be beaten. This had a strange effect on Ashers standings with Mizool's children, which caused them to envy and respect him for his talent. The girls of Mizool  often fell for Asher as well, as he is very charismatic and charming, as one would expect from both a prince and a rogue.

Worst of Asher's qualities however, is likely his "take what he wants, does what he wants" mindset. While still an honorable and kind man at heart, Asher is also selfish. He wants only for himself and thinks only of himself. He has your back in battle, but he doesn't think of others when he chooses his words. Worse, Asher dislikes the concept of responsibility, which is what lead him to flee from the palace in the first place. Actually, this is not fully accurate. He does not like being given responsibility, but he does take it when he needs to, and admittedly feels partly responsible for Rathmar's actions.

ra31a8z.jpg

Asher's about 5'11" and weighs 196 pounds. His muscular build is, as one would expect from an axe wielding warrior, highly toned and hard. He also carries quite a lack of scars for someone working as a mercenary, as his armor usually is enough to block the majority of blades and arrows that he can't avoid. When not in his armor however, Asher wears a sleeveless leather jerkin and cotton pants, so that if he must fight at a moments notice he'll still be at least somewhat protected.

Born as no just the first son of the King, but also the first son of House Baraan and the descendant of Graam the Mountain, much has always been expected of Asher. Some things he enjoyed about the many expectations. The warrior ability and combat prowess Asher didn't mind, nor did he mind that he was to be expected at diplomatic meetings and parties, but being an Emperor? Asher didn't want that at all, and never did. He preferred the life of a soldier or the carefree mercenary life over a constricted life of a King. But for the longest time, Asher couldn't do anything about it, and so Asher grew up dreading the day that he might have to take the throne.

As he grew however, he learned a great deal of things, and made friends with many interesting nobles, one of whom was a magician named Sartoria. Though she was much older than him at the time, Asher looked up to Sartoria and would often study with her when he could, though she told him he didn't have much of a gift for magic. Fortunately, much like his distant ancestor Graam, Asher proved to be a skilled master of the axe, for which his he and his father took great pride in. However this ended up further damaging Asher's relationship with his brother Rathmar. If anything was to be said about the Baraan brothers, it's that they had a strange relationship. Rathmar made no secret of his jealousy towards his elder brother, and that he felt that he should be the one to inherit the throne of Gangala. However, even Asher he despised the throne felt that a beast like Rathmar would be ill fitted for the crown, and openly opposed him. It was always Asher that protected the people of Mizool, and Gangala as a whole, from Rathmar when the spoiled younger brother felt that the citizens deserved punishment. However alone, Asher defended Rathmar, and the two got along splendidly, but in public, or whenever Rathmar showed his true colors, things were different.

On the day that Asher turned 18, he was sworn in as the official heir to the crown and Regnaga was passed to him as it had been every other Baraan King who came before him. Most people would have thought that he would have spent a great deal of time celebrating, but instead Asher just felt cold. To him it just meant that he was one step closer to losing all of his freedom and being forced to watch over an entire kingdom himself. During the celebration, Asher told the one person he trusted most at the time, Sartoria, that he was leaving that night. Of course she thought it was just a joke, but nevertheless, Asher vanished that night, taking Regnaga with him.

For the first time in his life Asher felt like he was really free too. There were no escorts, no advisers, nothing. Ashers new life was looking good so far. Finally able to put his axe work to the real test, Asher started working in a mercenary band called the Crimson Lions, and got his first taste of a real battle when the group was contracted to deal with some bandits. To the surprise of the other Lions, Asher was far more talented than the first expected, as he was the only one to come out of the fight unscathed, yet he was covered in the most blood. The pay was good too, and Asher enjoyed his new carefree life where he only needed to fight, drink, and find good company here and there. However this was not to last.

Word of his fathers death quickly reached Asher, and he became suddenly distraught by the news. He was meant to take the throne after his father, an act he still feared, but disregarding this he felt he should have been there. His father, the King of Gangala, died sick in his bed while he, the mans first born son was off fighting in some random battle. Things only escalated from there and Rathmar was sworn in as the new King, a problem that Asher recognized immediately, and soon after launched the invasion of Emerys. After that the bad news just kept coming. Arkaia being taken, Emerysian resistance being executed, Gangalan protesters executions. These were things that Asher couldn't forgive, because he'd felt he caused them. Still not wanting to claim his place as King however, Asher instead decided to make his way towards Emerys and attempt to get himself hired by a resistance group of some kind.

Alright finished that enemy sorc app. hope everything looks good

Wow, given that bio, it seems almost too easy to connect her with Krazen, perhaps as his mentor that helped train him and refine his skills in dark magic. It would have been when he was 8, so 12 years before the events that take place in this game, most certainly falling in before her personality shifted, I would think. Of course that's up to Yosuke and Elly. I think it would be rather interesting and fun when the connection is made in game, though, and would provide for a lot of character building.

I have no problems with it if Yosuke doesn't. It does help build up the Camus-ness of her character too.

I think that's really more Elly's choice. I don't really mind it since it doesn't alter the plot to a severe degree. I only mentioned her in Asher's app because it makes no sense for him to have never met her. And because I'm trying to make a chance to talk her into joining.

Our archer that will appear when we reach Xiang Siu
You wouldn’t be threatening my husband and his new friends, would you?”

Name: Mei Taifuu
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Class: Archer
Country of Origin:Xiang Siu

Unlike her husband Mei is indisputably the perfect heir for her clan. Beautiful, intelligent, and a skilled leader; it should come to no surprise that she is adored by her people, and sought after by men of all caliber. Always retaining an expression that seems to be a mere twitch away from melancholy, Mei often comes across as reserved and even unsociable. Oddly enough this couldn’t be further from the truth. When engaged in any form of conversation she is known to be extraordinarily blunt; often-making highly offensive comments without even the slightest shift from her aloof expression. Additionally, Mei tends to display the traits of a sadist when provoked, and will often times threaten to “punish” anyone who peaks her anger. Fortunately, this is no simple task, due to the fact that the Taifuu train their woman to curb their negative emotions in hope that they will be better able to aid their husbands.

As a member of the Taifuu clan, Mei holds the concepts of family and love above all else and believes that it is a woman’s job to guide and support their men through their hardships. With that being said, she also strongly believes that it is the man’s job to bring honor to the family, and is extremely harsh when it comes to any of Riku's shortcomings; often threatening with a plethora of violent and bazar punishments that usually play on his gynophobia. Though she is frequently seen ordering Riku around and abusing him it should also be noted that she is extremely quick to praise him, and is quite frequently caught bringing her husband up in conversations that have nothing to do with him.

So quick announcement. I'm probably going to be starting this tonight, if not then tomorrow. If you still have a character in the works, don't worry though :o Just finish up as soon as you can, post your app, and we'll let you in. It's not like the games ever had a problem with late entry characters anyways so neither do I .3.

That being said, today's my 1 year anniversary with my gf, so it's more likely to be up tomorrow than today.

If this thing starts tomorrow, I may not be around until late, as I have to help a friend run at least four errands while he car is in the shop, but depending on where the story starts, Krazen may not even be in the start, anyway. Just letting you know just in case it's relevant. Also, hope your anniversary celebration or whatever you've done goes well and memorable.
