These things are just begging to be Monarch fodder. They deal with heavy removal, they other members easily, and it's all recurring. I don't think they even need a boss, as they easily do better as fodder for tribute archetypes.

Also, it appears we'll be getting a Fox as well, which is expected, since they have a Yokai theme.

There's a pattern developing here. I thought this might be the case but now I'm almost sure that these are direct counterparts to Igknights - they all have the same pendulum effect but no monster effect, and it looks like all these have similar monster effects but no pendulum effect. Seem really good.

From what i understood, the monsters are the actual mages, while the spells and traps are their spells and summons.

Majestic pegasus seems a summon, while all the rest are spells. I really like the concept, it's very original

Crow scares me, considering we also see a fox.

Unlike FIRE/Warrior (the latter is good, not the former), WIND/Spellcaster is a double whammy typing for level 4.

It gives you Chidori access, as well as Trapeze access. Both of these cards are incredibly strong as options like this, as it opens up the ability to field clear/OTK when they want, depending on how fast the deck actually is.

If the Fox is a Level 4, I'm betting it searches Traps and is a pair with Yata here.

And there's also Totem Bird for the 3s, but *shrug*

Man this archetype is getting more and more predictable. Their effect are so boring..Magispecters are as bad as igknights.

I actually find them really nice, it's nice to see something simple with all these complex recent archetypes

But all they do is just 'Search and Can't be affected by card effects.' (yay) They only good thing about them is their artwork (which is really nice)

They're controlling bastards is what they are. The whole searchy thing is a plus to being able to shit out a Rageki proof field. Unlike Igknights who need to constantly destroy their scales, these guys +1 or more every time you pendulum summon, searching stuff that puts them back in the extra while disrupting to do it again and in addition, you can't BTS/Fiendish/Veiler them at all.

Their effects force a battle phase against most decks and as a result they're more likely to run into MF or D-prison.

This deck is actually very very powerful and is shaping up to potential OP levels. The only thing holding them back is that they have no good offensive options as the highest attacker this deck has so far is 1200.

Well igknights are basicly all copies of one another with different stats, these are at least only very similar.

Could you give an example ?

(Igknights, odd-eyes/performapal/magician, D/D, etc. allow you to use your brain much more than other decks, however are not in such a way complex that I would wish for archetypes which force you to mindlessly walk down a certain route).

These things are just begging to be Monarch fodder.

Same was said about qliphorts (thought I kept repeting that would only be a forced engine and not a synergetic engine(not to mention far too slow)).

Well, Qliphorts could have been monarch fodder but instead they got these cool guys called Stealth the Unrespondable-to Monarch and Disk the OTK Monarch which are a little better than your layman's monarchs.
