[Archetype] Ethereal

Now this is cool. It seems very strong. I feel like they would play very similar to Nekroz without being broken. On the surface though it seems like there is a lot of potential for brick hands. However this is a ritual archetype so that is more or less expected. Nice work.

As for your OCG, you seem to have a few redundancies here and there, but other than that they seem fine. I'll fix them later when I'm not on my phone.

Your concept is really fresh, reminds me a bit about Fire Fist and their continuous spell gimmicks.

It might be silly at this point, but

  • have you considered moving the "Ritual Summon from the Graveyard" effects from the monsters to the Ritual spell cards instead. Monsters have slightly less text space (having type & atk/def to fit in the same box) than s/t cards, also that would cause less confusion in the ritual mechanic itself - is it an effect that activates in the graveyard OR and effect that targets a card in the graveyard...(important sometimes).

Suggestion: This card is used to Ritual Summon "Ethereal ----" OR Special Summon 1 "Ethereal ----" from your Graveyard (that Summon is treated as Ritual Summon). You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal -- or more .(except "Ethereal ----").

  • Check out "Demise of the Land" for faster field searches :)
  • "Sanctuary" is i think a bit OP at the moment, with no visible drawbacks and no conditions... limiting the protection to your/your opponent's turn or something like that could work, or not.
  • "Gate" also has no downsides and since you have the special graveyard ritual tech, it's basically a free +3.

Not many others of these are that bad, but Guardian is particularly concerning. A few DP members have already considered convuluting hand destruction variants surrounding it. A Hard OPT on some of these if not a Hard OPT on the Ritual Spells would be really welcomed to prevent this sort of thing from getting out of hand. I'll make more detailed comments when I can, but wanted to give this a quick heads up
