1. All applicable YCM rules (especially the Advanced Clause) apply.

2. Be courteous, kind, and constructive in your interactions with other RP members.

3. This is a high-action, engaging RP, and it requires that you post often. Failure to post for more than 5 days will result in expulsion from the RP.

  • Note: Should you need to take a break from the RP for any reason, please notify both Saiba Aisu and I via PM so that we can make appropriate accommodations. Failure to notify us of an upcoming absence will not excuse you from the '5 Days' rule.

4. Saiba Aisu and I will be acting as co-hosts and sharing the role of Game Master throughout the duration of this RP. We reserve the right to take control of any and all characters as needed to advance the plot. In addition, we reserve the right to ask that you edit/delete any IC or OoC post that we deem problematic, detrimental to the plot, or disrespectful to your fellow RP members.

5. You may not create more than one character at a time. This privilege is reserved for Game Masters unless otherwise stated.

6. Although this RP takes place in a futuristic time setting, please do not abuse this concept. When it comes to creating your character, keep your design simple and manageable. The same is said for any technology and powers that your character may possess.

7. There will be limited acceptance in this RP, and thus you are in competition with other applicants to secure a spot on the character roster. You may request reviews and critiques from RP Hosts, but official acceptance will not be issued until a later date that has yet to be determined.

8. We reserve the right to add, edit, and delete rules as we see fit.

[spoiler=Plot]

It has been over a hundred years since the collapse of the Higher Institute of Villainous Education (H.I.V.E.), the defeat of the demon-lord Trigon, and the disappearance of the villainous mastermind, Slade. In that time, the prosperous organization known as the Teen Titans has continued to expand and grow under the encouragement and guidance of the Justice League. The Teen Titans have become a source of inspiration for all young heroes hoping to one day gain admittance into the Justice League. However, no matter how prosperous peace and good become, violence and chaos are always in quick pursuit. Criminal activity has started to spike on a global scale, giving rise to more and more dangerous threats that ordinary peace keepers cannot hope to combat. While the notorious villains that once troubled the Justice League of old have moved on into the next life, their influence can still be felt today.

In an attempt to secure peace, the Justice League is attacking the problem with a renewed vigor, but cannot hope to keep the situation under control without the aid of their younger counterparts. In order to manage the recent outbreak of crime, the Justice League has authorized the establishment of several new Teen Titan groups that are tasked with keeping the peace in their respective sectors. Through this endeavor, the Senior Council of the Justice League hopes to not only respond to the rapidly spreading threat of corruption, but also to nurture and prepare the next generation of heroes that will one day inherit their mantle.

One region in particular has the Justice League worried. The northeastern section of Sector 4, also known as the United States, has witnessed a spectacularly large increase in violent crimes involving both meta and non-meta humans. Assigning the most promising candidates to the newly established Teen Titans branch, centered in Aurora City, the epicenter of the region's criminal activity, the Justice League hopes to thwart this rapidly increasing problem before more drastic measures become necessary.

The choice is yours.

[spoiler= Havoc]

"No, I don't know exactly what I just broke... but that's your job isn't it?"

Name: Roxie "Lancelot Havoc" Blackstone
Age: 19
Gender: Female

[spoiler=Appearance]
electric_banana_by_anikakinka-d373oef.jp

Standing at 5’7 and weighing a solid 127 lbs , Roxie is rather fit for a girl her age. Her usual outfit is identical to the one depicted in the picture above, but with the addition of a bright yellow utility belt that is always found on her waist, and her baseball bat which she never goes anywhere without.

[spoiler=Personality]
Roxie has always been a firecracker, doing whatever she wanted whenever she wanted, in whatever way that fit her fancy at the time. Never the kind of person to allow herself to be constrained by anything, she often gives off an air of whimsical selfishness that is either instantly infectious or totally infuriating. You either love Roxie or hate her guts; there’s no middle ground with this one. Though it may seem that she holds no obligations towards anything other than herself, Roxie is doggedly loyal to those she takes a liking too, and will go to great lengths to aid or defend her comrades, even those who have openly proclaimed that they want nothing to do with her. Although she has yet to become aware of it herself, she is a natural den mother and will subconsciously gravitate towards those who in need; often leaving her as the “rowdy friend” to the more quitter members of the group.

Though Roxie likes to spend as much time as possible in the field, she has come to accept that she can’t be a hero 100% of the time. Unsurprisingly, when not working she can often be found out on the town; be it shopping, clubbing or Movie hopping, she likes to keep herself active at all times. Very few aware that she is in fact a huge geek when it comes to pop culture, and often times find’s herself accidently blurting out movie trivia or making remarks that seem completely out of character for the image she has created for herself.

When it comes to being hero, Roxie- or Havoc, as she demands to be called is exactly how you’d expect her to be upon hearing the name. Eager to rush into the middle of any fray, Havoc is the first to leap into the battlefield and definitely the last leave. Due to the nature of her abilities, she takes on the role of demolitionist or wall breaker, and will dutifully take out any armored unites or obstacles that may obstruct her team’s objective. Due to her time spent with Knights of the Round Table, Havoc has no problem using “lethal force”, and though she doesn’t usually actively try and kill her opponents, she will not hastate to end the lives of villains who she deems either more trouble then their worth or unfit to live due to severity of crimes.

[spoiler=Biography]
After being in the foster care system for as long as she could remember, Roxie found herself adopted into the U.K’s Knights of The Round Table at the tender age of fourteen.  Similar to the Justice League in many ways, the Knights have taken a more localized approach to their crime fighting and work exclusively within the United Kingdom whilst leaving the global threats to the league’s members. Ruthless, methodical, and extremely invasive; the Knight of The Round Table are the looming shadows that keep potential villains in check with fear and violence. Seeing great potential in Roxie’s innate ability, the knight’s wasted no time in plucking her from the system and grooming her to eventually fill the recently vacant spot on their team.

Having already grown accustomed to the hard life of an inner city orphan, Roxie took the Knight’s teachings like a fish to water, and within four short years was granted the tittle of Lancelot and gifted with a customized weapon of her design that would serve as a symbol of her place at the table. Praised as the youngest warrior to ever join their ranks, Roxie would partake in a series of adventures with the Knights; only realize that the other members held very little respect for her. It didn’t matter how many skulls she smashed, how many innocent life she saved; the other knight’s would always regard as nothing but a trophy, a symbol of what their training could produce. It only took half a year for Roxie to become fed up with idea of being a glorified mascot, and for her to begin planning her "resignation". Well aware that the Knight's would not simply let her walk away, Roxie managed to escape the United Kingdom with an extraordinary convoluted plan, which involved several massive explosions, the faking of her own death, and a large degree of hitchhiking...

Finally finding sanctum out of her former team's range of operations, Roxie attempted to make a name for herself as Havoc, but was soon captured by the Justice League under the suspicion of being a spy sent by the Knight's. Fortunately though, after a very long and unproductive interrogation, the League decided to introduce her to the Teen Titan program under the condition that she revealed any useful information she had on the Knight Of the Round Table. Eager for a chance in the spotlight, Roxie accepted. It was time for the world to know the name Havoc!

[spoiler=Powers & Abilities]

Kinetic Charging: Roxie’s base power allows her to manipulate kinetic energy, the energy possessed by any moving object. She has learned weaponize this unique ability by taking the potential energy in objects and converting it into kinetic energy, thus “charging” the object with explosive results. This process requires direct skin contact with the target object, and has proven to be infective when applied to biological substances. The time it takes for her to “charge” an object is directly proportioned to the target’s size, and the larger the object is, the more energy it takes from Roxie to charge it. Through practice she has learned to set the durations before the blast and can willing make each detonation timed or instant, as well as control the intensity of the blast. Though it should be noted that smaller objects are known to spontaneously detonate when charge with too much kinetic energy... Roxie seems to be immune to the explosions caused by this process.

Kinetic Boost: By accelerating existing kinetic energy within an object, Roxie can supercharge said object while in motion, causing it to deliver impacts of extreme concussive force. Though it appears that Roxie is able to use this technique on her own body to boost the impacts of her punches to superhuman level or emulate superhuman speed; she is extremely reluctant to use it in this fashion because of the fact that her body lacks the durability and reflexes to safely pull of such feats without risking injury. Instead, she opts to use this ability to increase the damage of her attacks with her baseball bat and other blunt objects.

Kinetic Shockwave Generation "The Rox-gun": After gathering a sizable amount of energy within her legs or arms, Roxie swings the charged limb forward whilst simultaneously boosting it and transferring the stored energy into the space in front of her to generate a concussive shockwave that blasts outwards in a cone. Though not a true ranged attack because of it's laughable effective range of two yards, Roxie has been developing this technique after her confrontation with the Night Sisters during "Bubbly", as a way to counter/deflect enemy projectiles as well as disrupt enemy defensive stances.

Unique fighting style: Due to her obvious lack ranged abilities, Roxie has become quite the skilled close combat combatant. Though she has received formal training from the Knights of The Round Table, she has chosen to adopt their techniques into her own style, rather then completely committing to their teachings. Roxie's fighting style is extremely erratic and unpredictable, taking advantage of the fact that skilled opponents will try to read her movements and using that to throw them off guard. Frequently making use of her bat, and risky moves such as the drop kick; calling Roxie's combat style brutish would be an understatement.

[spoiler=Weapons and Equipment]

Depleted promethium Baseball Bat, Arondite: Yes, upon being given the opportunity to have a single weapon forged with a nearly indestructible alloy, Roxie decided upon a baseball bat. Notorious as the former knight’s weapon of choice, this bat has been heavily personalized by Roxie with a number of stickers; most notably, the large black “Kiss it” spanning from the top of the barrel to the taper. Roxie is extremely fond of this remnant of her past, and is known to take it with her everywhere, regardless of the occasion. She’ll bring it with her into the shower, your birthday dinner, wedding, and even your funeral... If you have a problem with that, go ahead and try and take it.

Spider bombs: A weapon designed specifically for Roxie, and wired to follow her mental command's through the leagues technology. These marble sized silver spheres grow small spider-like legs upon activation and are able to crawl up walls and attach themselves to a number surfaces. Roxie carries two types of bombs on her person, each holding a unique payload.

  • Explosive x10: The generic spider bomb. Though useless by itself, each bomb holds a highly unstable mixture that upon being charged with Roxie's ability, doubles the power of the generated explosion. Havoc carries ten on her person when entering the field.
  • Flash x5: Vastly similar to their explosive cousins, these bombs emit a blinding flash upon detonation. Havoc's standard kit includes five.

Other Information:

> Yes, Roxie does boast an english accent...
>  Roxie is terrible with technology, and will resort to simply smashing anything that is overly complicated or gives her too much trouble.
> She is never seen without her BaseBall bat. EVER.

[spoiler=The Rox-Army]

Over the course of the Titan's missions, Roxie has amassed a number of allies through the use of her charm and... well Baseball bat.

[spoiler=Matador and the Howlers ]

the_iron_bull_approved__by_ynorka-d8v72s

A gang of human animal hybrids, and they're leader, Matador. After besting him in combat alongside Blake, Roxie earned not only Matador's respect but his heart as well. Having granted her membership into he Howlers, the gang has sworn to aid Roxie whenever she calls upon them... under the condition that Matador gets to take her out for a drink after.

[spoiler=The Boys ]

3071782_1352771112964.81res_425_300.jpg

Two boys who were unfortunate enough to fall for Roxie's spell. Trent and Issac will bring Chad along the next time she calls upon them, purely because Chad still doesn't believe that they met an Ocean-babe and saved a sinking ship. Trent's dad owns a boat...

I am clearly interested in this thing that keeps not succeeding...can I keep the same character though?

I would advise that you adapt the character and maybe make some edits it to better fit this RP. As stated, accepting is limited and while Aisu and I haven't decided on an exact number I'd suspect that it'll only be between 3 or 4 other players, so you might want to make sure you're submitting a top notch character! And this time, the RP is definitely going to succeed!

Makes me miss the young justice Rp... Interest noted

Eager to see what you'll cook up!

[spoiler=Cecelia I'm Your Satellite]

Name:  Blake Bradsborn a.k.a. Satellite

Age: 17

Gender:  Male

[spoiler=Appearance]

Blake has no left eyebrow, and his a giant scar running down from his left eye all the way down to his chin.  His left eye is also glass/tech, and his right pectoral is covered by a titanium like structure with a glowing purple light in the middle.

Blake - Height: 5'8" Weight: 160 lbs

Satellite MK 7 - Height 6'6" Weight: 200 lbs

[spoiler=Regular Appearance]

70K7ldz.jpg

[spoiler=Suit]

0mluJeE.jpg?1

[spoiler=Personality]

Too some, Blake comes off a little full of himself.  That's only the case because it is very true.  When it comes to social situations, Blake usually drives others off with his extraordinary case of a superiority complex.  He usually talks down to others that are below his IQ without knowing it, which is pretty much everyone else in the solar system.  The solar system is lucky too, because if Blake's ego was any larger, the whole galaxy would revolve around it.  He talks to people as if he didn't have a huge scar on his face, and he accepts pity from no one.

People who are able to get past his ego get to see a more vulnerable side of Blake.  He's not too bad once you get to know him, and is quite nice albeit sometimes he's mean on accident.  He adores all things biological, ranging from viruses to aliens outside of their solar system.  Science has always been a love of his, and he tends to gravitate towards highly intellectual people who can understand science babbling.  He also wishes to share his brilliance with the world to make it a better place to live for all humanity.  He isn't too high octane, but he isn't a total snooze fest either.  He finds a happy medium between the two, but doesn't really like people who represent the extreme sides of those personalities.

 While he's not in social situations, Blake is usually off in his own little world, calculating new formulas and tinkering on some of his equipment.  He always thinks that he can improve what he previously thought was perfect.  He has a fear of the unknown, and always tries to explain the supernatural through natural solutions.

[spoiler=Biography]

Blake Bradsborn was not born into the lavish lap of luxury like most people insisted that he must have been.  Growing up, his parents could barely afford basic cable, which is what Blake fell asleep to at night, usually listening to the soothing science program of NOVA.  Studies say that watching t.v. can kill brain cells, but Blake's brain grew with curiosity everyday he watched the Public Broadcast Service.  He yearned for knowledge and grew to find out that he was quite the Little Einstein.  By the time he entered preschool, Blake was able to tell the teacher the process that stars underwent to form supernovas and black holes, which his simple teacher could only nod and laugh at.  Blake also like the idea of machines, and started building little robots in his room, made from ordinary house equipment, which his parents were never too happy about.  They would notice a toaster missing and trek to Blake's room, only to see a little chicken robot with super heated feet, making its way across their now burnt carpet.

As Blake grew up, he started skipping grades and wound up graduating college at the age of 13, earning a double masters in physics and mechanical engineering and robotics.  Growing up so fast, and being surrounded by many adults, Blake turned into a master of social skills, but didn't retain too many friends.  In his master's thesis, he wrote a paper on the subject of using black holes as a capable power source to run the entire worlds power grid.  His equations were sound, and he was welcomed into the scientific community with opened arms.  After completing the technology to harness the energy produced by a black hole that would advance every field of science, named the blackest box, Blake was the youngest man to win the Nobel Prize at just 15 years old.  With the money he earned, Blake started a new tech company, focusing on clean power, named Interstellar Incorporated.  However, there were some people who didn't want that information to be used for the good of mankind.

when he turned 16, Blake was to go into space along with 3 other astronauts to install one of his blackest boxes into the International Space Station.  One of the other astronauts had other plans, as he was sent to sabotage the mission by releasing the black hole within the blackest box.  Breaking the blackest box would never release the black hole, Blake had put inhibitors in his device to make sure that never happened.  Instead, a small explosion happened within the spaceship.  Blake's face had been ripped to shreds, and he could not see out of his left eye.  He also had a gaping hole in the right side of his chest, and two of his fellow astronauts, including the saboteur, had been killed in the explosion.  With the help of his last crew mate, Blake was able to stabilize his condition with the advanced medicine on board (including nano-machines), and some tech that had to be made use of, including an extra blackest box that was implanted in his right side to stimulate the nano-machines into making his shredded lungs pump oxygen throughout his body.

Blake has since improved the technology keeping him alive in his body, and has also implanted a false eye that also serves as a super-computer.  He has also been inspired to do more than give humanity a light to share, he has been inspired to protect others as well.  If evil had gotten his way, there would be no way for him to improve tomorrow, so he has since tried to improve himself by developing a suit of armor that could help him protect the world that he is trying to create.

[spoiler=Powers & Abilities]

Above Genius IQ (250)

Sharingan - Super computer eye implant is able to scan and analyze surroundings.  Has different settings such as UV, Infrared, and X-ray.

[spoiler=Weapons and Equipment]
Satellite MK7 - With a single charge of black hole energy, the suits batteries can last up to 5 hours if in constant and steady use.  Using too many abilities at too much power capacity will drain the black hole battery faster.  The fastest the battey can drain is an hour and a half of full capacity use.

[spoiler=Armory]

[spoiler=Satellite MK 8]

Fq1S3Sd.jpg

Powers: Flight, Super Strength, Enhanced Durability, Shield Manipulation

Powers: Flight, Super Strength, Enhanced Durability, Repulsor projection

A suit that has been modified to where it no longer is able to generate shields for defense, but rather can shoot repulsor rays from the palms of his armor's hands.

I suck at rps that aren't romance based but I've been practicing since the last RP wreck I had on here... Interest noted.

Will this be taking place in the yj universe, teen titans comic universe, teen titans show universe, or custom? (I'm assuming one of the four)

Consider it to be taking place in an alternate universe with a mix of shared elements that the Game Masters will be able to describe and control as they see fit. Is there any reason you ask? Remember that your character should not have any relation to canon characters in the DC universe.

Wip is in my first post. Is it ok if we make up a hero in the league to be our character's mentor before joining the team?

Saiba is free to come in and overrule me on this, but I don't see that it would be a problem necessarily. However, do not expect, at this point, for your character to have much interaction with their JL mentor. In other words, feel free to mention it, but I wouldn't base your entire application around it

So, this old gem has decided to gleem itself from the earth again has it? I'm in.

With your permission Renegade, I'll be recycling the character I conceptualized for "Heroes to Be's" fourth arc into my Teen Titan Initiate.

Quite honestly, you'll have to remind me exactly who that character is

Ughhhhhhhh I really, really want in on this but I'm just not sure.  It's super appealing as I'ma TT fan, but I'm not sure where to go.  I'm going to note interest, and see if I can find character inspiration tomorrow.

Hope you manage to overcome that writer's block! We'd love to see what kind of character you'd come up with!

Just so that everyone knows for character creation purposes, we are planning on running this RP more closely to Teen Titans more so than Young Justice. In other words, the actual Justice League will have a very minimal role in the RP and so while you can mention mentors of your characters as being a part of the League, there will not be a lot of interaction between League members and the Teen Titans.

I'll just go ahead and post my character before I misplace what I wrote. Hopefully you guys will like him~!

[spoiler=Valérian De Raine]
15155ee8-f364-460f-89ec-e6f88b55a3bf.jpg
"I didn't ask for any of this. You wouldn't understand."

Personal Information:

Name: Valérian De Raine | "Cygnus"
Age: 360 (Appears 20)
Gender: Male
Astrological Sign: Virgo

[spoiler=Appearance]
Cygnus stands just short of six feet at 5"11, and weighs in at 150 lbs. His figure is lean and athletic, most closely resembling that of a runner, or perhaps a dancer. His rather pale complexion is further offset by his white hair—as a result, he sometimes appears to be emitting a gentle silver glow, especially in the dark. He usually wears his hair in the style depicted above, with long layered bangs that tumble over his brow and onto his face. His dark blue eyes are large, expressive and deep-set, framed by thick lashes.

His standard outfit consists of a dark gray long-sleeved silk shirt inlaid with silver designs at the neck, paired with shoulder pads decorated with white feathers. He also wears form-fitting black breeches and thigh-high hunting boots—the final effect is a thus a cross between an 18 century noble and a huntsman, but it is not at all unpleasant. From time to time, he can be seen wearing silver earrings, usually in the shape of a crucifix or fleur-de-lys.

[spoiler=Personality]
Although he was once outspoken and lighthearted, the last three centuries have transformed Cygnus into a rather taciturn individual, haunted by his memories of the past. While he can be superficially charming if the situation calls for it, more often than not his remarks are punctuated by his rather cold and sharp wit. His frosty demeanor usually keeps others at arm's distance, thus impeding his ability to form lasting, meaningful relationships. This is a conscious defense mechanism, as the cruel inevitability of time has taught him more than once that it doesn't pay to get overly attached to mortals. He is thus solitary by nature and most at peace when left to his own devices.

Chief among these is reading: Cygnus is an avid reader and views books as an opportunity to escape into other worlds where life is much less complicated. Over the course of the past two hundred years, he has assembled a respectable collection of rare books with a particular focus on history, sorcery, politics and philosophy. As a result of his travels over the course of several decades, he has a strong grasp of geography and foreign language. He also has an appreciation for music, painting, and poetry, and occasionally dabbles in the latter, although he would rather die than see his poetry read by someone else.

Underneath his distant exterior, however, Cygnus is noble, idealistic and genuinely committed to justice and protecting the weak, though he does have a temper that flares up from time to time. While the path that led him to crime-fighting was circuitous and full of unexpected developments, he nevertheless takes his responsibilities as a member of the Teen Titans very seriously.

[spoiler=Biography]
Cygnus was born in 1765 as Valérian De Raine, the only son of a French-speaking noble family on the Franco-German border, in the region that is today known as Alsace-Lorraine. Favored by King Louis XVI, the family lived in a splendid chateau at the foot of a massive lake and was responsible for governing the surrounding lands. Growing up, Valérian was inseparable from his twin sister, Odette; both were groomed from an early age to make respectable marriages to further the family's wealth and prestige. Over the years, many suitors vied for Odette's hand in marriage, but none were worthy of his daughter in eyes of Lord Olivier De Raine. The most persistent of these was Baron Eric Von Rothbart, a German nobleman who had recently crossed the border.

One day, Valérian became aware that despite his father's refusal, Rothbart had taken to stalking Odette around the lake, pleading with her to elope with him and threatening to harm to her family if she refused. Determined to put an end to Rothbart's antics, Valérian accompanied his sister to the lake one night and confronted the other man. As the full moon shone upon the lake's surface, Rothbart revealed his true form: a wicked sorcerer, wreathed in a cloak of shadow and flame. Determined to make Odette his bride, he cast a terrible curse upon Valérian, transforming him into a swan and dooming him to an eternity of loneliness. Valérian could only watch hopelessly as his sister was borne away, screaming, begging for him to save her.

From one day to the next, the happiness of the De Raine family was destroyed. With both of their beloved children gone without a trace, Lord Olivier and his wife, the Lady Angélique, fell into deep depression. Days became weeks, weeks became months, and months became years, and with each passing moment their despair grew, until one by one, the responsibilities they had fulfilled so dutifully for so many years fell into utter neglect. So consumed were they by their sorrow, they failed to notice the white swan that flew over the chateau day and night, keeping watch, waiting desperately for Odette to return. For the Lord and Lady, it was almost a relief when the country was consumed by the chaos of the French Revolution and they were sentenced to the guillotine. After their deaths, the chateau was looted and fell into disrepair, eventually transforming into a crumbling ruin.

Yet Valérian remained, bound to the lake by the power of Rothbart's curse. With each passing year, the spell weakened, until finally, he was able to reclaim his human form. To his surprise, despite the fact that more than 50 years had passed, he hadn't aged a day past 20. The only thing that had changed was his dark brown hair, which had turned white as snow. More surprisingly, he appeared to have inherited a portion of Rothbart's magical power. For the next two hundred years he searched for Odette, scouring all of Europe in an attempt to find his sister. As the years passed, he realized that unless Rothbart had also cursed her with eternal youth, Odette would be long since dead. Clinging to this last hope, he refused to give up.

Eventually, Valérian's antics captured the attention of the Justice League, who took him in and helped him to develop his magical abilities. Convincing him to use his powers for the good of mankind, the League gave him the operative name "Cygnus" and assigned him as one of the members of the new division of Teen Titans stationed in Aurora City. Naturally, he remains obsessed with tracking down Rothbart and exacting his revenge—a task to which he plans to dedicate every ounce of the League's considerable recon and intel capabilities.

[spoiler=Powers & Abilities]
Lunar Magic: Cygnus is skilled in various kinds of light-based sorcery. His powers are intricately tied to the moon, meaning that their strength waxes and wanes depending on the different stages of the lunar cycle: when the moon is full, his powers are at their peak; when there is no moon, he is completely powerless. His abilities manifest as constructs of white light—primarily concussive energy blasts, sharp crescent blades, or spherical shields. He is highly resistant to magical or energy-based attacks, yet his speed and strength do not exceed those of the average human male. Although these magic abilities are his most powerful and frequently employed weapons in combat situations, Cygnus has only recently attained mastery over them thanks to his intensive training with the Justice League, and it remains clear that he still has much to learn.
Eternal Youth: As a result of Rothbart's spell, Cygnus is cursed with eternal youth, rendering him immortal in a certain sense. He is not, however, invincible—a bullet through the head or a knife through the back are just as fatal to him as to any other human. He is also similarly susceptible to injury and disease.
Master Swordsman: While he rarely engages in close combat, Cygnus is a talented swordsman, having studied the ways of the sword as part of his training as a nobleman. He has a particular fondness for the one-handed sword.

[spoiler=Standard Weapons & Equipment]
None.

Additional Information:
• In addition to his native French, Cygnus speaks English and Spanish fluently, albeit with a slight accent. He understands German, Portuguese, Italian, and Russian.
• Cygnus has met many of his favorite authors and artists in person, including Edgar Allan Poe, Alexandre Dumas, Victor Hugo, and Hans Christian Andersen, as well as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, and Claude Monet.
• Cygnus is openly homosexual and has had many famous lovers throughout the years. One of these was Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, who, inspired by Cygnus' story, would later write the famous ballet, "Swan Lake." Given the homophobic constraints of 19th century Russian society, Tchaikovsky was forced to rewrite the story as a heterosexual romance.

Might as well post my own character:

[spoiler=Kiara "Arcana" Foster]

45CuVGN.png

"Listen, I just want to make sure what happened to me, doesn't happen to anyone else."

Personal Information:

Name: Kiara "Arcana" Foster

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Birthday: November 14th

[spoiler=Appearance]

[Base Image]

Kiara stands a bit below average height at exactly 5'6". She boasts a slender, lean frame, kept in shape from her extensive physical training. Kiara doesn't have much in the way of breasts, appearing very flat-chested with an A cup size. Her flat-chestedness is further emphasized by an insistence to wear only sports bras, compressing her already diminutive breasts.

Typically, Kiara wears a pair of violent colored pants that allow her the freedom to move quickly but are also thick enough to provide some warmth and protection. While relaxing, Kiara usually wears a plain black tank top, however; when on assignment she dons an ornate purple and white, sleeveless vest(as depicted in the image). Time and again her mentors have warned her to remove the superfluous tassels that hang off the vest, but she finds them aesthetically pleasing and feels that they add a certain flair to her 'entrances'.

When she was a part of the Night Sisters cult, Kiara(or rather Eris, at the time) was required to keep her dark hair long, so now she cuts it short and dyes it stark white as a form of rebellion in the face of her past life. Unfortunately, she can't do much to forget the intricate, arcane runes that are tattooed across her chocolate-caramel skin. These tattoos start around her collarbone and continue all the way down to her ankles. Imprinted through a form of irreversible magic, these markings, granting her supernatural strengths, are a constant reminder of what she has endured and what she has lost. Additionally, these figures occasionally change color and sometimes even shape depending on Kiara's mental and physical state.

It should be noted, that the goggles depicted in the base image are not present on Kiara's character. She does, however, wear a small, golden, heart-shaped locket around her neck. Inside is a picture of her deceased mother and sister. This locket is only visible when Kiara isn't wearing her vest.

[spoiler=Personality]

Kiara has a very protective personality, feeling that it is her responsibility to protect as many people as she possibly can. This stems from the grave injustices she suffered at such a young age, believing that it is her duty to make sure that no one suffers like she did. In particular, she is very protective of children and has been known to put herself in unnecessary danger to protect children that she perceives to be in harms way. In these instances she has been known to think irrationally and it is suspected she would jeopardize a mission to aid a child in danger should it ever come to that.

On a social level, Kiara is very friendly person. While she does harbor a fair amount of paranoia, a result of her abduction, she tries not to let it influence her interactions with people. Tucking away her anxiety, she makes an effort to be friendly and always appear to be optimistic. That said, should she feel like she is being challenged or if she thinks she is being watched or if something of hers goes missing, Kiara will become extremely defensive and even hostile! Once the situation is resolved, she calms down very quickly and becomes very apologetic for her behavior, even if it was warranted.

As a hero, Kiara very much enjoys her job. After being a part of the Night Sisters for five years, she is eager to do as much good as she can in the world. She enjoys every part about being a hero. Everything from research to reconnaissance to making battle entrances(by far her favorite), is something she takes pleasure in doing. This is partly because she feels as though she needs to make up for the wrongs she committed as a part of the Night Sisters and is also simply a part of the fact she was born to partake in heroics.

[spoiler=Biography]

Kiara never had much as a child. She grew up in a rundown apartment in a bad area of Houston, Texas. Her single mother worked long shifts as a nurse to provide for her two kids. Normally, a nurse would be able to make enough money to easily support a family of three, but Kiara's younger sister, Daphne, had severe medical issues. Suffering from several heart defects and diabetes, the medicines that she needed consumed most of the money that their mother earned. As such, they were forced to make do with what they had.

That wasn't to say they weren't a happy family though. Sure, times were tough, but the love between the three women were strong and saw them through their turmoils. Or, at least it did until Kiara turned 12. She was walking home from school one day when she got a feeling that someone was watching her. Rushing home, Kiara hastily looked over her shoulder and was able to just barely make out the silhouette of a cloaked figure disappearing into an alleyway.

Now, in truth, sketchy figures and scumbag stalkers weren't all that uncommon in Houston. It was a huge city with a huge homeless population, the large majority of which were mentally ill. So, Kiara had opted not to tell her mom about the incident when she got home. Surely she was just being paranoid. It was thoughts like that, that led her to rationalize that she didn't hear the door to the apartment open the night. It was the belief that her young mind couldn't be trusted that led Kiara to toss the dark figure that had passed her doorway as a 'trick of the light.'

But tricks of the light don't suffocate sickly children at the age of 8. The products of an overactive imagination don't bludgeon a single mother to death as she walks in the door after an 18 hour shift at the hospital. No, the things that would do something like that can only be described with one word. Evil. It was an envoy of evil that had broke into Kiara's home that night and murdered the only family she ever had. It was evil that abducted a 12 year old girl and forced her into 5 years of horror.

The Night Sisters were a nation-wide cult that had been terrorizing people for years. They were known for abducting young girls and then brainwashing them to join their cause. Not much was known about their leaders. Only that she went by Matron Supreme and was said to be able to commune with a dark deity trapped within what has been called the Overlord Grimoire, a book of forbidden, dark magic.

The Night Sisters abducted young Kiara and molded her into a fine recruit. She was stronger than the rest, more ruthless, and more efficient. But there was something else that made her stand out from the other recruits. Kiara could still think for herself. For whatever reason, the brainwashing techniques that cult employed on the abducted children didn't affect Kiara like it did the others. So, for five long years Kiara pretended to be one of them. She committed heinous acts in the name of the Night Sisters, biding her time, waiting for the perfect opportunity to escape.

Such an opportunity occurred 8 months ago. The Justice League finally caught up to the Night Sisters. They had been tracking their movements for years, but had never been able to catch up to Matron Supreme. Well that night they did. They attacked the cult's headquarters with everything they had. Knowing it was now or never, Kiara turned on her captors, helping the Justice League destroy the cult. That night, every member of the Night Sisters was eradicated. Every member except Matron Supreme, who escaped with the Overlord Grimoire.

The Justice League took Kiara in after that. They have helped Kiara recover over the last 8 months and have trained her to be quite the potential hero. Believing that she is ready for the responsibility, they have placed her as a part of the newest branch of Teen Titans in Aurora City. Kiara is eager to make amends for what she did while a part of the Night Sisters, and even more eager to track down Matron Supreme and bring her to justice.

[spoiler=Combat Info]

During battle, Kiara can be a bit overzealous. Sometimes biting off more than she can chew, Kiara is notorious for getting herself into sticky situations. That being said, she can usually get herself out of them.  Utilizing her enhanced strength and superhuman durability, Kiara tends to tank the majority of attacks aimed at her. Surprisingly, she is actually quite the talented gymnast and has the ability to dodge most attacks thrown her way, she just likes enduring the hits because of how cool she thinks it looks. Her telepathy works as a type of alarm system in highly dangerous situations, giving her a type of sixth sense that can alert her to hidden threats. It is by no means infallible and  can easily be fooled or taken off guard.

Should the team need to interrogate someone, Kiara is prepared to use her telepathic abilities to try and get any information the team may need.

[spoiler=Powers/Abilities]

Enhanced Strength: A product of arcane runes that are tattooed across her body, Kiara is able to bench press more than any normal human. That's not to say that she is ready to go toe-to-toe with Superman, but she is strong enough to rip a car door off its hinges and punch thrill brick walls as if they were tin foil.

Superhuman Durability: A product of the arcane runes that are tattooed across her body, Kiara has a type of magical barrier that protects from both physical and energy based attacks. This barrier does have a limit to what it can take, drawing on Kiara's own stamina with each hit. The tattoos start to fade in appearance the weaker the barrier gets. Over time, they will begin to reappear, thus signalling the revitalization of the barrier.

Telepathy: It is unknown whether these abilities are a result of an active meta-gene or the influence of the Night Sisters, regardless, Kiara has demonstrated potential in becoming a powerful telepath. Currently, however, her skills are minimal and will require much more training before blossoming to full strength. At the moment, Kiara can sense intense emotions in others and if someone is asleep or in an extremely drowsy state she can begin to pick through memories and information stored in her brain. Through a series of tests and trials, the Justice League has determined that with some practice Kiara will be able to develop the ability to actively read minds, communicate telepathically, conduct psychic attacks, and even influence the minds of others. Obviously, Kiara has a lot of work to do before she gets to that level.

Acrobatics/Gymnastics: As a part of her Night Sister training, Kiara is a decent gymnast and acrobat, able to 'parkour' across the battlefield. That said, she isn't nearly as skilled as those that specialize in this area and she has no real training in martial arts to compliment this skill.

I want to join this but I am stretched thin as is being in the RPs I'm in atm. So, sorry, but I'll have to turn this down for now. :(

We're sad to see you go! But we understand. In the future, spots may open for additional characters in supporting or antagonist roles (or if things go extraordinarily well, main roles). Good luck with your other RPs!
