"I think it's time to shake things up...This revolution shall be glorious"

Name: Inoue Hitomu

Age: 19

[spoiler=Appearance:]

kVRUeUN.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:]

To Hitomu, the sounds of revolution always ring in his head...

The world is way too complacent in Hitomu's eyes.  People starving on the street, homeless populations increasing by the daily...the government that takes care of the people should.  However, in this day and age, government controlled by the wealthy majority isn't fit to rule over the people they promise to protect.  All Hitomu ever thinks about is inspiring the masses to do his bidding, to overthrow their oppressors, and to put him in charge so that he may rule over humanity with an iron fist, that is covered around in a pillow.  Humans are too stupid to rule themselves properly anways..much like the apes they had evolved from in the first place.

How might he be able to do that, one might ask.  With a devilishly handsome face that exhumes innocence of course!  His tongue also happens to be made of the purest silver...one could say that it looks forked as well.  It's so easy to manipulate people, and play them like fiddles, when you can so easily charm them into believing whatever you say.  That's how he moved his way up into becoming school president.  He might've also made a few threats, showcasing some of his psychotic tendencies more or less.  Hitomu also stifles all negative criticisms to his methods through threats of violence...his way is always the right way.

Hitomu considers himself to be intellectually superior to most, and he has a strong disdain for idiots.  They are the only types of people that can reveal Hitmou's true nature.  Although around most other types of individuals, he seems like a classic Gary Sue, extremely nice and reliable to a fault.  Hitomu wishes to one day rule over a utopia for human society, run by him and those like him.

[spoiler=Biography: ]

Hitomu grew up in a very downtrodden part of Okinawa, under the roof of a federally subsidized building.  He grew up without a care that his family was poor, and loved his parents wholeheartedly.  He and his parents barely got by, as his mother wasn't able to hold down a job, and his father was a fairly unsuccessful entrepreneur.  On a day that lives on in infamy in his mind, the government decided it was time to tear down the place to tidy up the neighborhood and make way for more expensive and luxurious housing.  Although his parents were paid for the inconvenience, it was a mediocre price at best that wouldn't let them stay at a hotel for more than a few nights.  Unable to find suitable housing, his parents had taken the easy way out, and had decided to kill themselves and leave Hitomu to live his days as a street urchin.  Seeing the lifeless corpses of his parents on the hotel floor most definitely traumatized him, and Hitomu promised himself that he would never let this happen to anyone again.

After refusing further aid from the government that took everything away from him in the first place, Hitomu ran off to Kamagasaki, the largest slum located near Tokyo.  There, he was able to find a suitable place to live and bathe, and eventually went off to school.  There, he clashed with many of his idiotic counterparts...those who have lived their lives with happy homes.  It made him jealous...furious even.  In order to be complacent in school, he rose through the ranks by doing favors and becoming well known around the school, ultimately earning the title of class president.  Studying became one of his favorite pastimes, seeing as how he had no other external forces influence him such as television or video games.  He did pick up daily newspapers, as to be well informed in politics and other news.  He quickly became the top student of his graduating class, which was easy work for the class president!

After he had graduated, Hitomu took a stroll to his old neighborhood in Okinawa to see a shopping center where his childhood memories took place.  As tears strolled down his face, every metallic object within a 100 foot radius started twisting and bending to his will.  Wiping the strange liquid from his eyes, he continued on his stroll through town.  Noticing that he had developed strange new powers, Hitomu decided that it was time to put his revolution in motion.  Several days later, a bomb had gone off at that same shopping mall.

Haven't read through the whole thing yet, but casual notice that souls aren't made of metal, even if the form they take typically would be, so as to prevent any potential confusion.

And Aix, souls can't be unbreakable.

Okay, what if her soul is a ring that creates the unbreakable threads then?

I want to reserve either a blank version of a typical hardcover book (think The Create from Cardcaptor Sakura) OR a set of Tarot cards...but considering the fact that both seem to lead to reality-manipulation in one way or another, I'm hesitant to go with either...

Do the Tarot cards. It will be infinitely cooler.

And as a message to everyone, seriously, go ham on powers. If you think your stuff is legitimately overpowered, come to me about it, but I will probably let it fly.

So i cant be magneto is what you're saying

You can be magneto, but everyone else ain't wolverine.

[spoiler=Fragments of Emerald and Silver]

d4eUXBx.png?2

"I'll carve my love straight into your soul!”

"The gravity of fate binds our destiny together...."

Personal Information
Name: Arthur Almark

Alter Ego: Emerald Maiden
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Blood Type: O

Birthday: January 6th

[spoiler=Appearance]

ofmZbEW.jpg

This is how she usually look, though she's taller than when this portrait was made now.

bljteCU.png

As the Emerald Maiden, her already solid figure become more emphasized by her wearing high heels. At times it did make her feet a bit sore, but.she only picked up the habit after her soul's awakening anyway for style purpose. Since she had been awakened, the increased balancing she acquired allowed her to run at high speed while in those, though she still also needed to practice a lot to be able to do it. Her increased strength also made those heels powerful weapons in its own right if she's unwilling to use her armor.

The battle dress she wore was yet another thing she chose purely out of her need of something stylish. It already was her costume for even when she started on her entire hero play, and she felt that it's fitting enough for her to keep up. The hairdo and the color, in the meantime, was chosen by her simply since it was based on something she really liked. Though, how the entire design ended up looking like a wedding dress was something that she considered to be painfully ironic.

Her decision to design a costume like this rather than actually designing a costume that would cover her identity was...mainly since most of the superheroines she knew never obscured their identity. And it kind of beat the point of becoming a significant public figure if people had zero chance of knowing your identity anyway. What makes a mystery so exciting is the thin line between exposure and its cover, after all. For that sentimental purpose, she's willing to design her costume to be massively impractical and risk her being exposed and endangered by showing her face.

Her eyes aren't actually red - its just one of the way her power manifests.

[spoiler=Personality]

Arthur is a young woman that contradicts herself. Perhaps it was really a curse of having a strictly boyish name, which she did consider to be a possibility. As a person, at face value Arthur doesn’t really see herself as someone remarkable enough to stand out. She’s normally quiet and reserved, and simply focuses herself to pursue the immediate goal that lies before her, instead of following a more long-term one. She admits that she has no clue about what kind of pursuit should she ever seek. She’s far from a visionary, she’s usually content with what the system gives her, and change usually don’t bother her that much as long as it doesn’t disturb her rhythm. However, a controlled, rhythmical life soon bores her anyway, which is an incentive for her to try out living her dream of being a knight of fantasy – complete with all of its cliché, romantic depiction of passion, chivalry, nobility, and charisma. Behind the costume, the Arthur that people knows about ceases to exist, leaving the Emerald Maiden to act out and become the knight in shining armor that “fights for the sake of justice and the commons”.

As good as a charade for her to run into when she's in a distress from her monotonous daily life, in the end that costume cannot hide everything, which at times does show during her stint as a hero. She is someone that doubts herself a lot, at times being unsure on whether her act of being a hero has any point in the grand scheme of things. With a mask of determination, she does try to put those thoughts aside, but a lot of times she ends up being overwhelmed with these thoughts of self-doubt.

A look at the extravagant and archetypal Emerald Maiden might make her seem like an idealist, but that’s definitely not the case with her. She’s never an idealist in the first place. Her biggest reasoning of being a heroine in the first place is her insecurity of her role in this world. She’s convinced that her life will lead her nowhere, and that when she’s dead, she will only be remembered as a name, if at all. She wants to be meaningful. She needs herself to be significant in the eyes of others, and this is her biggest drive for her to continue the way that she chose. It is a completely selfish reasoning, and she has some degree of awareness on how much of her action is simply due to her need to be paid attention to, but a lot of times she just pretend that she’s fighting for a nobler, distant cause like “justice”, “love”, and an “ideal world” to make herself look better, even if she has really no reason to believe what she keeps on spouting, She wants to be needed. She wants to be important. She wants the people to love her, and for that, she keeps up her façade of heroism. Even if they only love and root for her alter-ego, she still appreciates it since it makes her feel more than just another name on the book.

Even so, despite her mostly being driven by a selfish reasoning to be a hero, she does have a genuine drive to do what she does. Seeing criminal acts on morning news from time after time, the feeling of weakness of being unable to do anything about this makes her sick, and when she finally gets to live up as a hero, it also serves as a way for her to finally not feel as weak as she was when it comes to stopping innocents from getting hurt, and as a way to vent her frustration about it too.

Well, worded like that, perhaps her entire stint is completely self-motivated, whether she’s aware of it or not. Granted, her desire to protect innocents does get stronger after she herself become a victim instead of getting weaker. Because she realizes just how much emotional distress the people she fights for experienced while in her position, she becomes more motivated to fight so this doesn't happen to them. Her self-centered motivation is still her prime one however, even if she doesn't realize it as such.

As it has been mentioned, her heroine self is a way so she can feel powerful instead of being someone powerless before the machinations of fate. When it’s up, she doesn’t have to feel like she cannot do anything, because she can do it as the Emerald Maiden. She know that even with her powers, she’s a weak person in mentality and willpower, but the persona she chose allows her to not feel as burdened by it. Once again, however, even the persona can’t hide everything forever, even things she hides under her daily life self. She’s emotionally very brittle, and just as much as she doubts herself and how insecure she feels about her role in this world, she has a dangerously low self-esteem hidden behind her smile. She’s prone to episodes of simply breaking apart due to this, but it’s never something that she’d let other people know, and even she experienced deep trauma after that one incident, she tries her best to not show it as something that affects her much, though a lot of people can see through her facade and how much the event makes her even more brittle and volatile. She still wants to be seen as someone with a strong fortitude even as Arthur, so she doesn’t want people to see her weakness. She knows that she needs some professional help regarding the extent of how much this low self-esteem affects her secretly, but her pride and desperation to keep up the image prevents her from doing so.

On a less serious note, Arthur is a friendly person, if not at times seemingly a bit stuck up and avoidant of interaction. She’s not the type that actively builds bonds with others, but generally she likes it when others try to bond with her. Somewhat of a recluse, nevertheless she still do try to be somewhat active in sports, though with how much her new superpower do to her performance, she does it less and less since it’d be plain cheating to join any form of group sport activities. She deeply enjoys fiction and historical records, and this might also influence her above mindset somewhat. She’s a big Japanophile in general though, which is why the primary mindset of her superheroine persona is, of all things, a hero from a shonen series. She's been trying to get into relationships, but so far her own personality caused them all to fail, most failing on the first two weeks. It frustrates her a lot, but her act as a hero helps her to not put her mind much to it.

[spoiler=Biography]

For the most part of her life, Arthur lived her life to be as “normal” as possible so she can feel like a normal girl would. A girl with a boyish name, it was caused by a miscommunication during her early days, and due to circumstances, her name stuck to this day, perhaps since it’s a huge hassle to change it legally. Arthur tries to be a tomboyish girl early on since she was feeling more at home with the boys due to her name, but in the end, she gave up. She couldn’t keep up with them, and decided that she would just stop contradicting herself and be what people expect a girl to be. And for the most part, she’s successful in doing so. Her life experiences were remarkably unremarkable. She graduated from high school and entered a local university, though she doesn’t really have much thought of where she would go after this, so at best she mainly uses this opportunity to go husband-hunting to secure her future.

Things changed somewhat later on, however. The monotonous life in the end weren’t something she couldn’t stand without some way to escape from it, and with this reasoning and other drives from within, she made her decision to be a vigilante, a costumed hero like in the comic books she read. Since she already has interest in doing costume play and roleplaying beforehand, she feels very confident about this, even with the miniscule training she had to back it up. At first she aims to stop small-time crimes like pickpocketing or harassment, but the more she did those, the more she yearn of something bigger, so she started to branch out to stop more serious crimes.

However, this ended up to be her undoing. She accidentally found herself on the crossfire of two violent gangs gunning against each other, and ended up being captured by one of them at the end of the day. It was two weeks of hardly pleasant experiences for her, and when she was rescued on a police raid, she had become someone different, no matter how much she tried to deny it.

She became more and more withdrawn, and her life slowly crumbled around her as she paid them less and less mind. She kept on insisting that she’s fine, but something definitely had changed about her, and her attempts of lying about it was barely able to stop people from guessing what happened. With how much she’s being defensive about her supposed wellbeing however, even her parents decided to just let herself be.

One month after the incident, things didn’t seem like it’s improving for Arthur. Becoming more and more reclusive, she had abandoned her education and barely being around for her part-time jobs. She spent a lot of her time at home, and it seemed most of everyone had just given hope on her. Arthur herself was still in a state of complete frustration. Just as she couldn’t catch up to the boys when she’s younger, right now she’s unable to do anything as things like this happened to her. She wanted to be someone that could protect others, but even she couldn’t protect herself from getting wronged. The feeling of worthlessness she used to feel came back stronger than before, and at times she considered that she’s completely unsalvageable.

One morning however, she found a letter on her long-unused mailbox. At this point she had considered suicide as an option that she should take. She was somewhat baffled that someone still bothered to use a traditional letter to send messages, and with how there’s no designation of sender on the envelope, at first she felt that it was just a dud and tempted to just throw it off to the bin. She later changed her mind though, and decided to open it to see if it’s anything important. At best it’d be just some reminder about her current status in her uni, which she didn’t pay much mind now. Going into her room, she opened the letter there on her own, without any expectations on what it was.

What she found was something else entirely. It was a letter from someone that she once saved, who had apparently done a lot of effort to track her true identity down so she could send her the letter. It was filled with gratitude, how much the act meant for the sender, and how she was worried with how the “Emerald Maiden” figure had long disappeared from action. The sender was very moved with how Arthur could have the courage to act up against the injustice in society despite being a normal girl like she was, and the letter was closed off with some words of encouragement for her to keep fighting.

The simple letter, as awkwardly written and plain it was, moved something inside of Arthur. The letter was a proof that she meant something to someone, that she was –significant- even if it’s a little. She made a change, even if it’s small. This realization that the letter brought to her became her resolve. For people like her, Arthur would keep on fighting. She couldn’t afford of letting her down by keeping on being depressed. Even if she’s weak, she needed to be strong for people like her. As self-centered as her motive was, it was for something like this that she even fought as a heroine in the first place. This steeled resolve that she developed also awakened her long-dormant soul. Becoming a knight in a shining armor, she wouldn’t let anything else stop her from upholding justice in society. No matter how many times she fall, no matter how much the world refuses to change, she had decided that she will become the hero that people needed.

One year after the incident, and Arthur kept on doing her self-appointed duty, neglecting her studies in the process since she didn’t see it as something important anymore. She met with some resistance from the authorities, but since she's still popular enough among the common people, she didn't see it as a problem. She had some minor breakdowns during the period, but it's not something she mulled over for too long. The girl that sent her the letter never sent her another, but Arthur hoped that what she did will make her proud, wherever she was.

Following the incident that happened on the Tokyo Skytree and the subsequent mysterious broadcast, Arthur decided that she would go there to look more into it – especially since she was really curious about the nature of the power that she possessed too. Perhaps this would shed some light on it.

[spoiler=Ability/Manifest]
First of all, not related to Aether at all, she carries a custom-made whipsword, in its normal state looking like ornate rapier. It’s far from sharp, but it’s very well-made, and it can still be used as a weapon by her, who enjoyed a big boost in her ability to use it after her ability has awakened. Most of the time it’s treated as a prop for her cosplay, however.

Her awakening also gives her superhuman strength and speed, as usual. Mainly speed and mind coordination, but strength is also increased.

Knight of Honor: How her soul manifests - a symbol of her facade of heroism. Becoming the embodiment of the brand of heroics she take as her persona, it takes the form of some sort of full-armored knight that shares some similarity to a figure from an anime she is a fan of. Because of what it is, it serves a dual function for her. First, it can serve as an armor that manifests around her body. It is very sturdy and gave her a stronger method of attacking with its cannon and big sword without hampering her speed. Alternatively, it also can serve as a separate figure that she could control freely as a separate fighter on its own, but this would leave her relatively defenseless. Its weakness is in the gem on its chest. It's something that seem pretty cliche and stupid to have a weakness be that visible and prone, but Arthur has a good record of preventing her opponents from hitting it.

The Word of the World: The burning emotion of the people would allow her to surpass her limits. As a hero, she will gain the determination poured within these emotions, and turn it into the power to create the path of her justice. She could turn them into a tangible form of energy that she could use and shape in many ways, even to transform herself, and this energy will only grow more and more the more her and others' passion and emotions burn. The form of others' emotion also affect the form of this energy. It is the energy of evolution, the energy where with it, everything is possible. It is the light of the human SOUL.

She can have herself be temporarily immune to side effects of some Aether-based power if they're not physically manifested, but it will consume a significant amount of her determination, so she definitely can't keep it up too much.

However, this ability is limited if she cannot act truly to her ideal, and she needs to be as bombastic as possible to be able to use it. Unsubtlety is the key of success, and the less she acts like a bombastic fictional heroine, the ability’s effectiveness will slowly decay. This decay also can be prevented if she declares her attack name before she use them, but she cannot declare the same name for an attack, or a very slight variation of it.

[spoiler=Miscellaneous]

-Theme Song: Battle Against a True Hero
-Her hair is originally brown. She’s just using a wig. This really help her to avoid people to know her secret identity. probably.
-The rapier IS a cosplay prop. She just went ahead and ask a smith to make it as painstakingly usable and realistic as possible using most of her life saving for that.

-She spoke Japanese well enough. She's been taking courses for quite a while back in London, and her time in Japan helped her fix her pronunciation somewhat. She still sounds like a foreigner somewhat, but she's fine otherwise.

-She considered to ask people to refer to her as Arturia, but she decided that it'd be awkward for reasons.

Finished for now. Will add her true appearance soon.

[spoiler=WIP]

Name: Katsurou Indra
Gender: Male
Age: 22

[spoiler=Appearance]6LuZU24.jpg
Height: 184 cm
Weight: 74 kg
Dress is much less outrageous, with no sort of helmet, and a dark jacket because japanese winter gets cold

[spoiler=History]
Working on this atm, important part is that he was at the Skytree during the first disaster, which is what caused him to become Aethertouched, and seeks out for vengeance and sheet

[spoiler=Ability/Manifestation]
Though Katsurou's soul only has one true manifestation, this manifestation can take one of two forms to best suit his need:

[spoiler=Unstoppable Force]
fBIHM01.jpg
While in this mode, Vajra takes the form of a pair of dual-sided clubs, each about 10 inches from one end to the other. In this form, Vajra immensely increases Katsurou's strength, speed, and agility (which is already increased by his Aethertouched soul) and allows him to, by striking with the ridges ends of the weapons, destroy many materials completely, and even damaging things otherwise thought of as indestructible. In this mode, Katsurou has absolutely no defense, but that is easily remedied by switching modes, which can be done in approximately 1/10th of a second.

[spoiler=Immovable Object]
GozcCmI.png?1
The defensive mode is initiated by the prongs of each club separating from each other, before forming tight, high-speed orbits around his body. This creates an nearly perfect shield, as the indestructible prongs block most any incoming attack. The inner side of each prong (the parts that form the handles in The Unstoppable Force) is not protected, however, meaning that if an opponent was inside of the 1-meter orbital radius, they could easily take out the shield, as well as Katsurou himself.

Of course, to offset this incredible power on either end of his spectrum, Katsurou has a significant weakness: He is only capable of fully manifesting his soul for 30 seconds each day. Every second beyond that causes significant damage to his soul, and thus, his body. Even when when not manifested, Katsurou's Aethertouched soul grants him superhuman athleticism, even beyond that which is typical among those with similar souls, though he has no other ability beyond this.

[spoiler=Kujikawa Kira]

Profile

Name: Father Kujikawa Kira(sometimes affectionately called 'Kuki-san')

Age: 26

Birthday: June 6th

Nationality: Japan

Occupation: Priest

[spoiler=Appearance]bPELfth.jpg

Stands tall at 195 cm. Jesus christ, Jotaro's really tall ain't he?

Backstory

[spoiler=Personality]

Kira is a very polite individual, willing to self-depreciate and praise others as needed. He smiles very often, although he seldom laughs, making his happy demeanor look fake to some. He has a very relaxed atmosphere, where he's not afraid to appear weak in order to make himself look less unapproachable. Has bad artistic sense and doesn't seem to be aware of it.

He is hesitant, or even afraid to open up to others, and keeps his immaturity hidden until he's alone, where his inner colors as an un-confident and purposeless man shows. From the moment Kira first awoke to his Aether powers, he lost his 'passion for life'. He hates and loves no one in particular, and holds no long-lasting grudges or ambitions. He feels empty and lonely inside and for that reason alone, lives to find the one person or thing that could fill it. If anything, he fears himself and not knowing his place within the world at large.

When presented with the Trolley problem, he would pull the lever to kill the one person to save the five simply because five people surviving is objectively better although if one can come up with a convincing argument for saving the one person instead, he wouldn't mind changing.

As a church clergyman, it is his mission to spread Christianity in the lands of Japan although he seems to not be particularly devoted to his job. He has a set of cleric robes he doesn't often wear, but he does wear a cross necklace, showing some level of devotion to the Lord. He understands well that his is not a popular religion in the Land of the Rising Sun and doesn't push the point too much.

Before his Aethertouching, Kira was a curious but silent boy. He spoke little but thought and acted a lot, but he had his childish moments. He was picky with his food and argued a lot with his brothers. Kira got along rather well with his uncle who was also the local priest and it was from him that Kira became familiar with the words of the Lord.

[spoiler=Biography]Son of a farmer in a northern rural village. At 15 he met the love of his life, Eriko, a girl who moved in from the city. She later died by falling down the stairs, leaving Kira in despair without anyone to blame. For two years he shut himself in and it was during this time that he became Aethertouched, just before his suicidal thoughts were about to manifest. A flag formed within his hands, brightening the lightless room he shut himself in. He didn't know what it was but he was quite sure it was something extraordinary. He had nothing else in his life when the phenomena occurred in front of him, and ironically his soul manifesting into a white flag made him decide to not give up and keep living. He wasn't quite sure what it was but his mind felt clear, and calmer when his soul formed. He gave up all thoughts of suicide.

Having shut himself out from society for two years, his life was in shambles so he decided to study and become a clergyman at the suggestion of his uncle, who was also estranged from the rest of the family for being a Christian priest. Kira hoped that perhaps believing in a higher being may grant him peace of mind and heart.

At the age of 23, he completed his training and was blessed as Father Kujikawa. It was then that, with his training complete and freedom earned, that he realized he didn't have anything he wanted to do in particular. He felt no attachment to the holy scriptures that he had sworn to dedicate his life to. He didn't feel accomplished or disappointment or anything at all.

He eventually decided that with his occupation sending him all over the country to spread the biblical teachings, he would search for the one thing or person who could fill the emptiness that is Kujikawa Kira.

[spoiler=Soul]

Soul Manifestation: 「dogma」Summons a luminescent blank flag attached to a pole the same length as his height. The flag itself is large enough to cover the upper half of his body and then some.

Aethertouched Ability: Manipulation of weight. Things poked by Kira's flag become lighter or heavier depending on which end of the flag he hits with. Hitting with the top end of the flagpole makes things heavier, and the bottom end lighter. Every hit exponentially amplifies the effect, while hitting an affected object with the opposite side negates all previous weight changes. As he is, it takes 3 hits of the 'heavy' side to floor an average fighter completely. Likewise, around 3 hits of the 'light' side would render a normal person immune to Earth's gravity. He can also adjust his own weight freely without the flag.

Hitting the ground with the flag has no effect, as the flag only manipulates an object's weight relative to the Earth, and only the Earth. The ground, considered part of the Earth, wouldn't be affected as it is part of the effect.

Secondary Ability: 「plasma」 The flag cloth itself is highly resistant to souls. It has no actual negation or absorption ability but it's a highly effective soul parrying tool. However, it is cloth so it is ineffective in preventing anything with an actual physical form from passing through. Therefore it mainly serves to protect Kira against non-physical projectiles.

[spoiler=Other details]

- Appearance picture is some fanart of Jotaro from Jojo. It's tough as sheet to find a picture of a guy in a suit that I like, so even if it's Jotaro it works for me.

- Originally his name was going to  be Yoshimitsu Akira(You know, Yoshikage Kira) but I didn't like the sound of Akira too much. Went with 'Kira' and thought of a last name that began with K. Kujira wasn't a last name but Kujikawa was. As for him being a priest, believe it or not it wasn't because of a certain gay priest from Jojo. Currently I'm playing a JRPG(Trails in the Sky SC) and there's a traveling priest in that and then I thought it'd be pretty cool to play as one in an RP.

- Theme song

- CAN'T WE GIVE OURSELVES ONE MORE CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANCE, WHY CAN'T WE GIVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THAT ONE MORE CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANCE

Decided what to reserve. The M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle.

[spoiler=Conner (2.0 ver)]

latest_cb_20131018033955.png

"I'll do what needs to be done."

Personal Information

Name: Konstantin "Conner" Ercanbald

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Appearance: [spoiler=A] 5'11", 190lb

VCA_Oscar_Bielertt.png

Personality: [spoiler=P]

Serious and hardworking to a fault, Conner is a very capable "do-er." In his own mind, there is nothing he can't accomplish, and he'll damn well try everything as well. He sometimes seems a bit joyless in his presentation, but it's more that he just never placed too high of a value on how others perceive him, outside of his results. He has a strong sense of justice that developed alongside his proper gun etiquette, but will sometimes push his own morals if it means achieving more effective results faster.

Able to take almost anything from anyone, Conner is notoriously thick-skinned. This doesn't mean he just sits back and takes the punishment, though. If insulted, he'll insult right back with a little extra punch, all without losing face or even so much as changing facial expressions. He rarely makes an effort to actually be mean unless it's warranted. And even he has a line that, if crossed, will get him angry. He is pragmatic, yet understanding, though sometimes he just can't understand that which he does not agree with.

Sometimes, however, takes too much, as a result of the strong and... stubborn will. The resulting physical and mental exhaustion is absolutely crippling to him, and it can take him up to a week to fully recover. Despite this, he lacks almost any form of outlet for this stress, and seems entirely uninterested in finding one.

Biography: [spoiler=B]

Conner was born the son of German Immigrants in Wisconsin, with a gentle, caring mother and a demanding, expectant father. His upbringing, for the most part, was rather pleasant; his father's wishes for his future sometimes grew intense, but his mother was always there to reel the father back and comfort Conner.

His father was a very well known and respected gunsmith, making a career from it and wishing to create a family legacy of sorts within the gunsmithing community. His son would be no exception. From the age of 6 and onward, Conner's father took him to his gunshop more than 5 times a week, each time teaching him more about the proper operation of firearms, or the art of smithing that is involved in the creation of a gun, or instructing him on proper gun etiquette. His successes were met with a subtle nod and an increase in difficulty, while his failures warranted anything from a disappointed sigh to an angry shout, having even resorted to physical violence once after Conner slipped up during the pouring of molten iron in a smithing session. The scars were more than just physical.

Despite this, Conner never broke. Assuming to have inherited his own father's insanely stubborn will, Conner took all that he was given and then some. Developing thick skin and a steady mind, he took all that was thrown at him, and often threw it right back. Community expectations were shattered, insults and shots were returned two-fold, and his father even found himself impressed more and more often. It was during this time he had discovered his... ability. He could literally withstand anything, and pay it back in kind. Not to mention him having gained a semi-meta-physical representation of a BAR, one of his favorite weapons, custom tailored to his father's taste. He was efficient and excelling in school. He had a plethora of skills that were self-taught, including teaching himself how to sow authentic military uniforms.

Conner felt untouchable. Anything that could be possibly done to him would only make him stronger.

That is what he thought.

He woke up in a painfully bright white room, tightly wrapped under the sheets. His father and mother stood at his bedside, with sorrowful looks on their faces. Without knowing it, Conner had overworked himself to the point of mental and physical exhaustion, with nary a means of release for his building stress, as it all came tumbling back down onto his body. After years of tireless work and self-improvement, for the first time, Conner's father gave him a break. Owning a timeshare in Japan, his father booked him a one-way ticket to Tokyo in order to rest his body and mind.

Special Information

Soul Manifestation: M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle [spoiler=S]

A light machine gun with a 20-round box magazine. This actually doesn't matter, as the weapon has unlimited ammo either way. Fires a standard .30-06 Springfield Rounds.

M1918_BAR.jpg

Aethertouched Ability: [spoiler=Unrelenting]

Upon activation, any sort of damage or impact that Conner may take leaves him unscathed. Instead, the energy from the attacks or impacts is stored within his body during the course of his ability being active.

After a short while, the energy goes critical, and Conner must remove it from his body in one of two ways; either he lets it out in a wave surrounding him, dealing a high-impact force to anything nearby, or by channeling the energy into his weapon and shooting out an extremely high-density energy shot to wherever he is aiming, decimating anyone hit by it.

Upon the ability’s deactivation, depending on how much energy was gathered and expended, Conner becomes very tired, and might need several minutes to recover. If the energy is not released in time, Conner will enter a feedback loop, as he crumples over and his body forces the energy out by seeping it through the pores in his skin.

Would brass knuckles work, to differentiate further?

[spoiler=The Fastest Coward Alive]

ASSNSUw.png

"Step 1: Stay Alive"

Name: Hayaichi Tsukino

Gender: Male
Age: 20
Birthday: March 17

Blood Type: AB

[spoiler=Appearance]

DbKkC4V.png?1Height: 5' 11" (180.3 cm)

Weight: 143 lbs (65 kg)

When his soul is not manifested, the red striped on his over shirt are grey, and his feet sport a pair of grey tennis shoes. Additionally, he often wears a pair of athletic earbuds, of the plug-and-ear-loop variety.

[spoiler=Personality]

Many people are driven by a sort of prime directive, a single goal in mind that guides their choices in life. Hayaichi's is simple: Survive. When at a crossroads, he will invariably take the path that leads to him running another day. This often results in him being viewed as cowardly, but he has never really considered that to be much of an insult. At the end of the day, The Hero sacrifices himself to save everyone, while the coward is still alive. This all boils down to the fact that Hayaichi is, in a word, selfish. The way he sees it, the world won't matter to him if he is dead, so risking himself to better it is just stupid.

This behavior causes Hayaichi to isolate himself from others. The more people involved, the more variables in his chances at survival. That being said, compassion is not alien to him, and he has no qualms with helping others, provided that he gains from his effort as well. Even when appearing altruistic, his goal is always to increase his own odds of survival. Such a goal brings would naturally bring with it an ambition or sorts, as one has nothing to fear if they are the strongest, but Hayaichi always found these sentiments to be childish. Being the strongest just amounts to everyone knowing your name, and worse, everyone wanting to be in your place. Someone could easily go on the same quest for strength, killing him in the process. Despite it making for an interesting story, it was not the story he wanted.

In his associations with other people, Hayaichi remains polite, sweet-talking his way past those he could not physically best. Hell, he even acts wary of those considerably weaker than himself, on the off chance they land a lucky hit should an altercation occur. In this manner, he avoids conflict. After all, he has no desire to fight. If fighting offers the best odds at survival, he won't hesitate for a moment, but it is far from something he seeks out.

[spoiler=Biography]

Hayaichi was born in Tokyo, the son of a wealthy investor. This allowed him to have a comfortable upbringing, receiving his education in a high-class school. In his early teenage years, he took an interest in running for sport, setting class, and eventually national averages for 100-meter sprints. By the time he was finishing high school, he was already being scouted as a potential Olympic-level athlete. 18 years old at the time of his graduation, he spent break commuting daily on the city train system to his former high-school, using the track to practice running until qualifiers for the next Olympics.

Unfortunately, his daily plans drastically changed while waiting for the train one morning. It was a particularly busy day, the station packed with commuters heading out for their various jobs. Listening to music through the speakers in his ears, Hayaichi had very little warning before a larger man collided with his back, himself having likely been jostled by the crowd, with no ill-intent. Of course, whether or not the man meant to hit Hayaichi really didn't matter. Either way, the impact of someone with considerably larger mass pushed him forward, just barely managing to tumble over the safety rail dividing the commuters from the train tracks. Caught in a momentary daze, Hayaichi took a few seconds to regain his bearings, pulling the speakers out of his ears as he looked up to the people above him, as they shouted down at him, in a clear panic. Lazily turning his slightly concussed head in the direction many of them pointed, he saw the source of their fear. He couldn't recall in the moment just how fast these trains went, but he knew it wouldn't be a survivable collision, even as the train slowed down so it could stop at its prescribed location that just so happened to having an 18 year-old sitting in the middle of it. The train moved closer and closer, and though Hayaichi couldn't move a muscle, paralyzed in fear, these few split-second seemed to last an eternity. Everything he had worked for, all the running, all the conditioning, wasn't going to matter, as he was about to die. The fear consumed him, as his vision closed around the approaching body.

Then, something spectacular happened. Hayaichi decided he was just done with it. He didn't need to be the fastest, he just needed to stay alive. Ironically, this resulted in him becoming the fastest. His lower legs glowed brightly, as a pair of bright red boots appeared, the highlights on his vest glowing the same shade. The front of the train barely an arm's length away from him as the commuters screamed bloody murder, Hayaichi stood up, and simply ran down the track, outpacing both the train and the onlooker's attention. The vast majority of the bystanders assumed he did not escape, that he was sucked under the train and mangled, and the entire track was shut down to recover the body that didn't turn out to be there.

Realizing his own mortality, and the futility in trying to be the best, Hayaichi instead lived for the sake of living. He remained in Tokyo for the sake of convenience, and returned to living in his apartment. Rather than continue his ambition for the Olympics, he simply lived off of what he could steal, using his immense speed to his advantage. When the Skytree was destroyed, it hardly interested him, as such a disaster really had little impact in his life. He didn't watch much TV, nor did he plan to visit the tourist attraction, so it really just amounted to a big public fuss while he stayed inside. Of course, the announcement from the supposed "Aethertouched Terrorists" a week later was much more concerning. Realizing that he was not alone in his strength, Hayaichi became increasingly paranoid, spending nearly all of his time inside, avoiding whatever dangers lurked just outside his door. Unfortunately, with the second attack, he was not granted the luxury of isolation.

[spoiler=Soul Manifestation and Abilities]

Even without manifesting his soul, Hayaichi is the fastest runner on the planet, the natural physical enhancements characteristic of Aethertouched pushing his unmanifested sprint speed to around 60 kilometers per hour, nearly 150% of that of the previous fastest. This is matches with highly increased agility and stamina, allowing him to swiftly avoid obstacles while still moving in a relatively straight line.

By manifesting his soul, he can dramatically increase this speed, breaking the sound barrier with very little effort. Due to no real need to test his own limits, he is unaware of his true top speed, but I will give a hint in that it rhymes with Rock Heaven.

[spoiler=I accept your challenge, Lady Fate. (Very W.I.P.)]Name: Micheal Xandros
Age: 26
[spoiler=Appearance:]o8tzE4Q.png
Micheal stands at a decent 5'11 and weighs in at a decent 154 lbs, which makes him a lightweight for his height. He sports a healthy shade of peach for his skin and his eyes, originally dark-green, were brightened to a lighter color upon gaining his unique Tarot Deck. His hair is slightly-curly and an brownish-orange color and the length of it reaches to the middle of his back. Because of this, he's rarely-seen with it in a low ponytail. Among the Aethertouched, he has a rather-lanky build that allows him to run at a decent speed when needed. His eyelashes are unusually-thick for a male, almost-feminine in appearance and his eyebrows, which are the same color as his hair are fairly-thin. This combination of traits makes it look like he often has a cocky attitude when he gives a sideways grin.

In regards to outfit appearances, he prefers various shades of blue, even stretching into aquamarine from time to time. His most-frequent outfit consists of the following: a vivid-blue polo shirt with aquamarine lines upon the collar, on the sides of the sleeves up to the shoulders and two lines near the bottom edge of the shirt as well; a pair of dark-blue denim jeans with leggings wide enough to hide the tops of boots under and a pair of simple black leather boots.

[spoiler=Personality:]"Well, m'lady, let's see how you and I play against each other today."

Despite how he's made himself out to be, Micheal is not a true child prodigy. He's often mistaken for such because of how his self-intensive study patterns have made him as intelligent as one after years and years. Whenever he finds out about something he doesn't know about, he tends to find out any and all information available about that topic. However, this does not mean that he could perform tasks that only a true expert would be able to pull off, such as various delicate medical surgeries. He's also extremely-calculative, often capable of planning out for every possibility in a situation, though fate has had a habit of screwing him in ways that he has no idea how such was even possible.

Micheal has a dark view of the concept of Fate, that whomever truly rules over it is a cruel, manipulative being that has no sense of right or wrong for taking away the life of his sister, who had done nothing to deserve such an cruel end. When he was given as his Aethertouch Weapon a deck of Tarot Cards, he realized the irony behind it and since made full use of it to influence the future in unusual ways since. His fight with Fate has since been violent, to the point that if anyone around him says that you "cannot fight fate" and he hears it, he will go out of his way to kill the person, no matter who's watching. While his sister's soul, which resides within the Death Major Arcana, disapproves of his actions, she is sympathetic and realizes that he still needs to find a way through the grief that has him trapped at the stage of anger. Even the number of times that the two have talked still hasn't helped with his grief.

His view of the world is also pretty dark, thanks mostly due to his cruel father. He's wound up growing up with the mentality that people only want you around because you are or will be somehow useful to them. While Faye is an exception to this viewpoint, he can't help but view things as somehow about to go wrong when someone randomly tries to befriend him or does something nice for him, since the concept of doing something "just because" is beyond him. In his viewpoint, everything is done for a reason and he usually wants to know that reason.

There are two key things to note about him, however. In addition to his nonexistant fuse regarding the inability to fight Fate, he has no fuse in regards to things said about his sister. If someone talks bad about her, that someone will find themselves in a world of hurt, if not flat-out dead. Aethertouched souls will often notice that, even if they're alone with him, there always feels like there's another person next to him. This seems solidified by Micheal sometimes appearing to talk to air, when he's actually speaking to Faye.

[spoiler=Biography:]"You gave me a weapon. I intend to make full use of it."

Micheal, and his little sister Faye, had grown up under the care of their father for as long as he could remember, not really able to remember his mother due to her dying immediately after giving birth to little Faye. Growing up, his father was harsh on the pair in hopes to make them bloom as soon as possible in the absence of their mother. Micheal, in his eagerness to get himself any reason to get away from his father, forged himself into that of a child prodigy in his schoolings. When it was possible, he would bring his little sister with him literally everywhere, even tried bringing her to school with him a few times to keep her away from the man.

Keeping Faye safe from their father, however, was not easy, for she didn't excel in much of anything and was of a more-sympathetic soul, which often put Micheal and his father at odds with each other due to the number of times he's had to defend her. A few days before she turned 18 and would have been allowed to move out with him, however, he wasn't there to defend her.

Micheal had came to the house after getting certain things ready for his sister's birthday when he saw his dad, in an enraged state, beating up on Faye and calling her a worthless whore. Not knowing why it was happening and not caring, Micheal mentally snapped. He grabbed the nearest blade, which was a serrated kitchen knife, and slashed into the man several times, killing him outright. He soon dropped the blade and gently picked up Faye in hopes of getting her to the hospital, the thought of calling the hospital not crossing his mind strangely enough. She gave Micheal a sad yet knowing smile before closing her eyes and dying in his arms. A few seconds later, Micheal began to cry before starting to laugh in an insane way, shouting at Fate and any gods that existed, calling such cruel bastards, b****es and anything else foul he could call such higher beings. However, something strange happened after this chain of events.

Faye's body transformed, compacted itself into the shape of a card that soon floated into his hand. The Death, which appeared to show his sister's appearance on instead of the typical look. Moments afterwards, he felt the urge to hold out his other hand, as if being guided by an unknown force, upon which an entire stack of cards showed up the same size as the one his sister had become. Three, almost four years have passed since then...

...and Micheal still hasn't gotten any better in his view of life.

Soul Manifestation: Tarot cards, inlcuding both Major and Minor Arcana cards. Weak point happens to be one specific Tarot card among the deck, Death.[spoiler=Aethertouched Ability:]Wild Card: Every card in Micheal's Soul Tarot deck has a use. The Major Arcana takes the form of various summons someone may easily recognize from the Shin Megami Tensei series, while the Minor Arcana mirrors the various spells shown in the Magic: The Gathering card game, though they may not be quite as powerful as if used by someone who has an ability similar to the spell. The thing is, even he doesn't always know what he's going to draw before he does, and sometimes he winds up screwed before he can get out of a bad situation with them. At any one point, he will normally have three cards drawn from the deck at any point, though some of the cards allow for altering the deck in various ways. Whenever a Minor Arcana is used or whenever a Major Arcana is recalled/defeated, they are placed at the bottom of the deck and a new card is not drawn unless the specific card allows for it. When the deck is unsummoned, any active effects fade away as well. (All effects for both sets of Arcana are rewritten to fit the RP as well as possible.)[spoiler=Major Arcana]In regards to all summons, he can only have one out at a time, and with each of them, he can only summon each of them with a considerable amount of time later. How fast he can resummon specific monsters depends on how fast he winds up drawing through his deck.[spoiler=The Fool:] Susano-o
An unpredictable summon and one that Micheal is not a real fan of using. When summoned, Susano-o scans the area and uses the effect it feels most needed upon targets of its own choosing before unsummoning itself for the time being.
~God's Hand: Deals severe Strike damage to one foe with his multi-pointed blade.
~Tetrakarn: Barrier that reflects physical damage once per intended ally.
~Fast Retreat: Increases chance of escape by increasing everyone's movement speed.
~Vorpal Blade: Deals heavy Slash damage to all foes with wide sword swings. (Comparison: Damage per foe is weaker than God's Hand)
~Regenerate 3: Restores a tiny portion of physical health every few seconds in battle with a burst of healing energy.
~Enduring Soul: Restores all HP upon 'death' 1 time per battle by grabbing onto the last remnents of a person's life force and multiplying it. Does not work if a targetted being has no life force left. If used, Susano-o will not return for next to anything for a decent amount of time.

[spoiler=The Magician:]Sati
A surprise to many that the Magician's summon is actually female, Sati remains calm despite the blaze around her that grants her access to her magic. She often stays around until Micheal unsummons her or she uses Trafuri to help him escape a dangerous situation.
~Maragi: Deals light Fire damage to all foes by releasing a wave of flame at them.
~Media: Slightly restores Micheal's and all intended allies' physical health with a pulse of healing energy.
~Agilao: Deals medium Fire damage to one foe by gathering together an orb of flame before hurling it at the foe.
~Trafuri: Enables escape from most battles by teleporting Micheal and others he wishes to bring with him elsewhere.

[spoiler=The High Priestess:]Kikuri-Hime
A relatively-peaceful maiden, Kikuri-Hime despises combat, but knows that it can often be unavoidable. She is one of the few summons that can emerge on its own strength when Micheal is in grave danger.
~Mediarama: Moderately restores Micheal's and all intended allies' physical health with several pulses of healing energy.
~Invigorate 1: Restores a tiny portion of a being's energy every few seconds in battle by way of invigorating wind that blows around all allies and Micheal.
~Maragion: Deals medium Fire damage to all foes by gathering together multiple orbs of flame before hurling one at each foe.
~Cool Breeze: Restores a small portion of physical health and energy. Refused to be used during combat.
~Diarahan: Fully restores 1 ally's HP. Does not work on someone that's already dead.
~Resist Ice: Reduces damage from Ice attacks.
~Fire Amp: Greatly strengthens Fire attacks by 50%.

[spoiler=The Empress:]Lakshmi
As a goddess, Lakshmi often appears frigid to those whom see no value in her presense. Micheal must remain cautious in how he treats her, for she has about-faced and struck him with her power before. However, when Micheal is the targetted one, she shows restraint in her power. She often vanishes after using Ice Break + Bufudyne/Mabufula.
~Mabufula: Deals medium Ice damage to multiple opponents, with a tiny chance to freeze each foe with a burst of ice-making cold.
~Bufudyne: Deals heavy Ice damage to one target, with a small chance to freezes the foe with multiple bursts of ice-making cold.
~Ice Break: Weakens 1 foe's Ice resistance.
~Null Dark: Nullifies Darkness-based Aethertouched abilities used against Micheal by allowing herself to be lit bright with her internal light and makes it impossible to blind anyone around her. Must be maintained to continue working.
~Resist Fire: Reduces damage from Fire attacks aimed at herself or Micheal with a shield of cooling energy.
~Amrita: Cures all ailments caused by other Aethertouched souls, can affect other people instead.

[spoiler=The Emperor:]Oberon
Despite appearing as a full-grown man, Oberon is roughly the same size as a small child and has been rendered immortal by the curse affecting his size. As the King of the Fey, he is capable of moving fast enough to create bolts of lightning across his flight path.
~Media: Slightly restores Micheal's and intended targets' physical health.
~Survive Dark: Low odds of surviving against Darkness-based Aethertouched abilites, but Micheal would only be kept alive by the Emperor.
~Mazio: Deals light Electric damage to multiple foes, with a tiny chance to shock them all into temporary paralysis.
~Zan-ei: Deals medium Slash damage to one foe with the aid of his ornate sword.
~Zionga: Deals medium Electric damage to a single foe, with a small chance to shock them into temporary paralysis.

[spoiler=The Hierophant:]Ananta
Seven heads, seven mentalities, one shared name. Ananta, as the Heirophant is collectively called, is a predatory hydra. Each head has control over one of the abilities the summon can use while the outer two share use of the High Counter ability.
~Mediarahan: Fully restores Micheal's and the intended targets' physical health. Unsummons itself after using this and cannot use this after summoning if anything else is used.
~Dekunda: Nullifies physical weaknesses inflicted upon Micheal and his viewed allies.
~Weary Thrust: Deals heavy Strike damage to one foe, power increases if Micheal is using this summon while physically tired.
~High Counter: Roughly half of the time, physical attacks are caught by one head and responded to by either a vicious bite or a powerful slap with another head or tail.
~Samarecarm: Revives an ally, fully restoring physical health by tapping to a being's last remnants of life and magnifying it. Won't work on those fully dead.
~Absorb Wind: Grows stronger from being exposed to Wind-based Aethertouched abilites instead of weakened.

[spoiler=The Lovers:]Narcissus
His love for himself greater than anything in known existence, Narcissus loves to share his perfected appearance with others, even drawing those of the same gender to him at rare moments.
~Marin Karin: Works his not-so-subtle charms to entrance a specific person into worshiping him. Can rarely attract males as well as females.
~Charm Boost: Raises the possibility of entrancing the foes with other abilities.
~Magaru: Deals light Wind damage to all foes with a sudden quick spin of his form.
~Sexy Dance: Hypnotic music suddenly begins to play as he dances in order to entrance all watching him, has rarely affected Micheal as well by accident.
~Charmdi: Disliking other people entrancing others, he can dispels such a mental handicap from a single viewed ally.
~Dekunda: Nullifies physical weaknesses inflicted upon Micheal and his viewed allies.

[spoiler=The Chariot:]Chimera
Large enough to act as a mount despite not being the strongest of the Summons, Chimera has high manueverability and often acts much like a big puppy when outside of combat and not on mount duty.
~Cleave: Deals light Slash damage to one foe with its claws.
~Agi: Deals light Fire damage to one foe by unleashing a stream of fiery breath.
~Bewilder: Distresses 1 opponent some of the time, overwhelming the foe with various levels of fear.
~Sonic Punch: Deals light Strike damage to one foe by ramming into a foe..
~Rakunda: Decreases 1 percieved foe's ability to defend itself with an intimidating roar.
~Tarukaja: Increases 1 percieved ally's physical strength after unleashing a mgihty roar.

[spoiler=Minor Arcana][spoiler=The Cups]Ace of Cups (Brilliant Ultimatum): Choose one foe and reveal the top five cards of the deck (which will all temporarily enlarge and float in the air). Time stops for all except Micheal and the target and physical hostilities are disallowed until they split the five cards into two groups. Micheal can choose to immediately use the effects of all cards in one of the two groups. If he already has a Major Arcana summoned, any Major Arcana summoned by this effect return to the deck after a short amount of time.
Two of Cups (Taste of Blood): A selected target suddenly weakens slightly as Micheal's physical health is slightly restored at the same time.
Three of Cups (Glamerdye): Temporarily changes the element of an opponent's Aethertouched ability to another until combat ends. If there is no element already assigned, it becomes the closest-fitting element, instead. This card may be used from the bottom of the deck by replacing it with another drawn card.
Four of Cups (Crusher Zendikon): Some of the surrounding area reshapes itself into a beastial form with greater power than defense capable of trampling over opponents. When the beast is destroyed, the land used to create it reverts back to how it was before being formed.
Five of Cups (Increasing Savagery): Increase the physical strength of current Major Arcana or ally by a mild amount. If used from the bottom of the deck, increase it by a large amount instead. This card may be used from the bottom of the deck, but disappears until a full day has passed.
Six of Cups (Meditation Puzzle): Restore some of your physical health by a great amount.
Seven of Cups (Caustic Tar): The ground underneath becomes covered with a thick layer of acidic tar. At one's choosing, those within its range will slowly consume all who stay in contact with it. Land effected by this is destroyed after the tar fades away.
Eight of Cups (Thought Reflection): Two cards are drawn instead of one after using a Minor Arcana card or recalling a Major Arcana card each time.
Nine of Cups (Invincible Hymn): Micheal's state of health reflects how many cards are still undrawn during the current use. If this is the first card used after the deck's most-recent summon, his health becomes fully restored.
Ten of Cups (Vitalizing Wind): The physical strength of all those viewed as allies in sight range become stronger by a large amount.
Page of Cups (Archangel's Light): Micheal's state of health reflects how many cards are still undrawn during the current use. If this is the only card left unused after the deck's most-recent summon, his health becomes fully restored and all other cards are treated as unused.
Knight of Cups (Blessed Wind): This can only be used on those close to death. Targetted being's physical health becomes fully-restored.
Queen of Cups (Primal Surge): Reveal the top card of the deck. If it is a Major Arcana, it is immediately summoned and another card is revealed. This keeps going until you a Minor Arcana card is drawn. Major Arcana summoned by this disappear until a full day passes before returning to the deck upon being recalled/defeated.
King of Cups (Enter the Infinite): Micheal looks through the deck and selects one card from it. He becomes able to use any of the cards in his deck when he wishes outside of the selected card until the deck is unsummoned. The deck, as a whole, automatically unsummons after an hour and doesn't allow itself to be resummoned until a full day has passed. Micheal doesn't like using this card unless he absolutely has to, because he becomes unable to hear his sister during the following day after this.

[spoiler=The Wands]Ace of Wands (Worst Fears): For a hour, Micheal can control another person's actions, thoughts and emotions, but he cannot affect an Aethertouched soul. Disappears from the deck and does not return until after one week has passed.
Two of Wands (Undying Evil): Summoned Major Arcana revive themselves at slightly more than full health once before recalling themselves to the deck upon defeat.
Three of Wands (Alexi's Cloak): Either Micheal or the currently-summoned Major Arcana cannot be specifically targetted by Aethertouch abilities. AOE-like abilities still work and can be affected by targetted strikes that they are not the intended target for. If a Major Arcana affected by this is recalled, this effect is dispelled. If Micheal is affected, it disappears after one minute.
Four of Wands (Bolt of Keranos): A blast of lightning is unleashed before the top card of the deck reveals itself briefly to Micheal. Micheal can then choose to leave the card be or send it to the bottom of the deck unused.
Five of Wands (Leyline of Lifeforce): The effects of other Aethertouched souls cannot stop Micheal from summoning the Major Arcana.
Six of Wands (Spectra Ward): Micheal or the current Major Arcana is unaffected by the next three Aethertouched abilities.
Seven of Wands (Enslave): Micheal controls the actions of a non-Aethertouched being, but he is unable to change how they feel or think and the one affected will know he affected them in this way. Disappears from the deck and does not return until after two days have passed.
Eight of Wands (Cast Through Time): Minor Arcana that return to the deck immediately after use instead activate twice upon use with the second activation being delayed for up to a minute.
Nine of Wands (Praetor's Counsel): All other Arcana are treated as unused and return to the deck immediately. Disappears after use and does not return until three days have passed.
Ten of Wands (Searing Wind): Chosen target becomes surrounded in flames hot enough to cause severe burns in the Aethertouched and turn to ash those that aren't.
Page of Wands (Chant of Vitu-Ghazi): A shield of light surrounds Micheal or the current Major Arcana in response to an incoming attack while an enchanting melody is heard being sung from a mysterious source. Instead of being harmed, the target's physical health is restored by the same amount.
Knight of Wands (Decree of Savagery): Major Arcana and all allies increase their physical strength by a fair amount. This card can be sent to the bottom of the deck unused and draw another card instead. If done, either the current Major Arcana or one ally of choice increases their physical strength by a fair amount.
Queen of Wands (Blasphemous Act): A shield of hostile red light surrounds either Micheal, a Major Arcana or a chosen ally in response to an incoming attack. The attack rebounds and strikes one of the attacker's allies instead, if possible.
King of Wands (Beacon of Tomorrows): Time temporarily freezes for all but Micheal, whom is allowed to activate up to three more Minor Arcana without interruption. After one minute, time resumes and all activated Minor Arcana trigger their effects at once. The card returns to the deck along with all missing cards, forces the deck to shuffle itself and has all cards treated as being unused.

[spoiler=(W.I.P.) The Swords]Ace of Swords (Runesword): Micheal holds this sword after it is activated. Major Arcana become physically stronger by a slight amount after every attack and will recall itself after the tenth attack, though its buffs do not disappear with it.
Two of Swords (Foul-Tongue Shriek): A painful, visciously-worded shriek echoes throughout the immediate area, harming all in sound range and rarely making someone deaf. Micheal soon finds that his physical health is restored by the combined amount of pain that this inflicted.
Three of Swords (Mirror Mockery): Micheal or the current Major Arcana suddenly multiplies to deal with each opponent in one-on-one combat for a minute. All but the original vanish after this.
Four of Swords (Shunt): A single Aethertouched ability becomes redirected to another target, if possible.
Five of Swords (Living Terrain): After this card is placed on the ground, a large portion is gathered before reshaping itself into a titanic creature of sorts. When the creature is defeated, the land does not revert back to normal.
Six of Swords (Swell of Courage): Micheal, all Major Arcana and all allies increase their physical strength by a slight amount for a minute. This card can be sent to the bottom of the deck unused and draw another card instead. If done, either the current Major Arcana or one ally of choice increases their physical strength by a fair amount.
Seven of Swords (Spiteful Blow): Depending on the selected target, Micheal can do one of the following:
~Destroy target Aethertouched -summoned creature or non-Aethertouched being and the land immediately around them.
~Severely-harm target Aethertouched being and the land immediately around them.
Eight of Swords (Assert Authority): Micheal can prevent one activation of an Aethertouched ability. Abilities stopped by this ability cannot be used for another ten seconds. This can be used twice before being sent to the bottom of the deck if in an urban setting.
Nine of Swords: Boulderfall
Ten of Swords: Worldfire
Page of Swords: Sword of Light and Shadow
Knight of Swords: Sword of Fire and Ice
Queen of Swords: Sword of Vengeance
King of Swords: Eldrazi Conscription

I note my interest with an app, though if I decide I don't actually want to be in this RP or cannot for some reason participate I will let you know.

[spoiler=app]

Name: Bill Fischer

Age: 36

[spoiler=Appearance]

jonah_by_happy_mutt-d5yce2u.jpg

Height: 6'5" (195.5cm)

Weight: 220lbs (99.7kg)

It is worth noting that Bill does not wear his "working uniform" all the time.  Most days when he's not on the job, he can instead be found wearing a brightly colored Hawaiian shirt, khaki cargo shorts, and socks with sandals.  He never removes his sunglasses.  Never.  Furthermore, he lacks fingerprints on either hand.  When questioned about them, he claims to have burned them off and gives no further explanation.

[spoiler=Personality]

Bill is not necessarily the most mentally stable man in the world.  As with many veterans of military service, he is prone to flashbacks of especially traumatic moments in his career.  These can come at nearly any time, and are so vivid for him that he often has difficulty differentiating what he's seeing from the real world around him.  He also suffers from vivid nightmares, often based on especially terrifying memories with unearthly alterations to the events within.  As such, he resorts to dosing himself with sleeping pills to make sure he can get through a night and have enough energy to function in the morning.  One of the ways he copes with his symptoms during the day is to smoke exceedingly large quantities of marijuana (which he pronounces "Mary-Jew-Anna").  Attempts to relieve him of his "cigarettes" end with varying degrees of success depending on how much he has already smoked, but most often are not good.

However, he does not allow these issues to interfere with his work.  In fact, it's only during combat or when working an assassination job that he is without the symptoms of his condition.  Because of this, he often likes to take his time and draw out any battle or hunt as long as he possibly can.  He has no real preferred method of killing, and is equally skilled in dispatching enemies at range or in close quarters.  The only real preference he has is that when he claims an enemy to kill, he be the one to take them out.  In the past, some people he has worked with have taken kills from him.  The result is, so far at least, never pretty.  His "partners" are often left behind as little more than mutilated corpses.  On the subject, he doesn't precisely trust anyone.  He expects people to act as they tell him they are going to act, but that's as far as it goes with him.

Thanks to his line of work, and the many issues he deals with, he tends not to be the most social of people.  Well, except when he's trying to get in some woman's pants.  Most of the time when he's not on the job, he prefers to be left alone with whatever his drink of choice is.  Going along with this is a firmly defined distrust, and hatred, of doctors.  When questioned on the subject, he answers "some of the worst things I've done have been because of doctors" and leaves it at that.  He never goes into specifics on that subject, even though if pressed he will go into exacting detail in telling the story of nearly anything else he's done.  This lack of trust in doctors may well be the reason he's never sought treatment for his issues.

[spoiler=Biography]

The name Bill Fischer is an alias, used by the man to try and escape a past full of deeds that he is not proud of.  As a result of this assumed name, and several long months spent covering up information that could link him to an old identity, it is difficult to place where exactly Mr. Fischer came from.  All that is precisely known is that he at one time was part of a special forces unit in the United States Army, and left under unclear circumstances.  After leaving the army, he disappeared around the same time that a number of veterans turned up murdered by peculiar means.  Those familiar with the murders, as well as his work since leaving the states, believe that he is responsible for them due to the nature of their wounds.

Speaking of his work, Fischer found that all that time in the military made him an excellent candidate for mercenary work.  Sometimes he joined up with private military companies, and sometimes he fought on his own for the highest bidder.  He's even been known to take up jobs as a contract killer, and has been responsible for a number of high-profile assassinations in various countries around the world.  Presently, the man is between employers and has traveled to Japan in search of either work or a good way to lose some of the money he's earned.

It is worth noting that for the entirety of his career as a mercenary/contract killer, he has wielded his soul manifestation.  The resultant wounds from using it are typically perfectly circular, and cauterized across their entire length.  The wounds rarely go completely through a target's entire body, stopping precisely in some or another vital organ.  However, he has also been known to leave behind ugly lacerations on the corpses of those he kills.

[spoiler=Soul Manifestation:]

Velma:  The name he's given to the unique weapon which he is able to summon by manifesting his soul.  Velma has served him well for the past twelve years since he first manifested it, and he has so far never failed to kill anyone he set out to with her.  Normally the weapon manifests as a bow nearly as large as he is tall.  When in this form, Velma produces arrows of pure energy that glow bright cyan.  The arrows are produced as quickly as he can draw the bow, and can be fired accurately out to a range equivalent to that of modern hunting rifles.  The bow can also be split in half to form a pair of blades which cling against the backs of his hands.  With the main projections long enough to be used as swords, these make for quite the deadly weapon at close range.  The energy which is used for arrows in Velma's bow form can be channeled into the blades instead, resulting in their vibrating at such frequencies that they disrupt the molecular bonds in matter they strike.  This means that the blades can cut through a much wider variety of materials than traditional weapons, such as the machete he often carries around just in case, but by no means everything.  These vibrations also result in spectacularly messy wounds when cutting through bodies, with flesh and bone being torn apart like he went at them with a chain saw.

[spoiler=Aethertouched Ability]

Ammunition: As noted in the explanation of the soul manifestation above, Bill's is capable of producing arrows of pure energy in its bow form or vibrating rapidly enough to disrupt molecular bonds in its blades form.  This is physically draining to Bill, and can be exhausting if he relies on it too much.  Thankfully, Velma's bow form functions well enough as a normal bow if loaded with physical arrows.  For that reason, he usually carries a dozen or so with him at all times.  While the effective range is not reduced when such arrows are used, their destructive capability is.  Plain arrows are simply less adept at penetrating armor, even though soft bullet resistant armor doesn't do much to protect against sharp edges.  The blades when not vibrating are still quite sharp, but limited to more traditional uses of edged weaponry.

Vampiric Touch:  Though not precisely an accurate name, Bill hasn't thought of something that explains it better.  When he kills a foe, he is capable of draining the remaining energy in their bodies to reinvigorate his own.  Of course as the name suggests, he has to be touching them with his palm at the moment of their death for this to work.  This is part of the reason he rarely wears gloves, as touching bare skin against bare skin is much more effective.  He can still drain a target through clothing, but it is much less efficient.

Enhanced Physical Capabilities:  While Bill is remarkably strong for a human, that aspect of his physical nature is not supernaturally enhanced.  His strength comes simply from the fact that he works out often, and is merely on the high end for a normal human.  The same is true for his remarkable endurance, which is born of years of enhancement by way of the physical training necessary to function as an elite soldier.  The supernatural aspect comes into play with his agility and eyesight.  His reaction times are well beyond what is possible with a purely natural human, and he is capable of feats of agility straight out of Prince of Persia.  With his naked eye he is capable of seeing out for miles as clearly as if whatever he was looking at were right in his face.  The downside of this eyesight is that when he focuses on things far off, he tends to be less aware of those closer at hand.

[spoiler=Jessica Mason, the Almighty All American Zealot]

sxnnbna.png
"Hell yeah(!); I'm here to drill through sheet and chew bubblegum. And I'm all outta...! Crap, there's still some in my hoodie pocket, hang on."
*mg mg mg mg mg mg*
"K, now I'm all outta gum!"
Personal Information
Name: Jessica Mason
Age: 17
[spoiler=Appearance:]Standing at a height of 168cm (5' 6") and weighing in at 58kg (128lbs), Jessica appears as a relatively average full-grown teen. She has cobalt blue eyes, and pale blonde hair that she has in a ponytail slanted to the right side. She uses a hair band that has a knob on either side that appears as a drill bit of sorts. The longest strands of Jessica's hair fall down to her breasts, which perfectly fit a C-cup bra that she wears and are at just the right size to give her little reason to complain. Speaking of, the measurements for Jessica's BWH ratio are 24-21-21 if measured in inches and 61-53-53 if measured in centimeters, and her body is athletically built. However, Jessica does have flat buttocks, which is something that she's not proud of at all. When out and about, Jessica wears a pair of camouflage-style short shorts, a pale blue hoodie that is too short on her to cover all of her waist and of which she keep the hood down, and a pair of blue sneakers with yellow ankle socks.

[spoiler=Personality:]In essence, Jessica is the sort of young lass who believes that all her problems will be solved... eventually, after she has shouted to the world loudly enough about them. She can often get worked up on the little things, and tends to speak her mind with little thought, if any, about the consequences at hand. Because of this, it's rather difficult for Jessica to keep a level head. What she lacks in calmness, however, she more than makes up for in stubbornness and natural aggression towards what she wants. And once she makes her mind, there's no convincing her to change it. If she finds herself in an argument with someone, Jessica will insist that she have and will vehemently fight for the last say. And even if she realizes that the other guy was right all along mid-argument, she'll claim that she was the one that came up with the right answer and that the other guy was arguing for her original point, just for the sake of making it all the less possible to win an argument against her.

Thankfully, despite all the agitations that she may've gotten from nowhere in particular, Jessica is hard to properly provoke; much harder then she ever was back in her pre-teen years. Truth be told, a lot of this has to do with the anger management classes that her parents had forced her hand into taking, which she will admit that she needed just to get on with her life. Jessica also does have plenty of opportunities to vent out any frustration that she gathers before it reaches a critical point. But she still has her ticks nonetheless. One of the things she doesn't like is any assumption that she can't do a certain task just because she's a girl. Jessica often gets this from specific guys, and she downright loathes having to hear it at all; so much so that she'll openly challenge whoever it is that says such a thing to a round of fisticuffs no matter the place. Another key tick that Jessica has is people turning their back on her when she's not done talking to them. She's all too familiar with people trying to ignore her and say things behind her back, and this is something that she won't hesitate in confronting someone about... among other things. Jessica is envious among girls who are better "equipped" than she is; specifically in the ass department. So when some random chick walks in front of her, wiggling her butt in some form of sexy motion as if to mock her... well, let's just say that it's yet another on the list of things that tend to make Jessica's eye twitch.

All things considered, it should be noted that Jessica doesn't like to be angry, and despite all the crap that she doesn't like but yet has to put up with, all she wants is just to have a little fun without all the drama; even if it only lasts for a moment. She seems to love getting into trouble though, but in her mind, it's all part of being a dedicated thrill seeker. It has only been a year since Jessica unlocked her Aethertouched Soul, and she is still mostly unaware of what lies ahead of her now that she wields one. All Jessica knows about her Aethertouched Soul at the moment is that she can kill people with it; a feat that she'd had personal experience with last year. And to this day, she's still not sure how she feels about the ordeal of being entrusted with such a deadly weapon, as well as the burden of having to resist the urge to bust it out in public. But she always preferred to live in the moment, so this doesn't seem to be anything that she'll let concern her all that much.

[spoiler=Biography:]Jessica Mason was born and raised by middle-class parents in Brooklyn, New York. Life was relatively normal at first; just like all kids, Jessica was sent off to day care and then elementary school, and although the latter was kinda boring, Jessica was at least able to make some friends to pass the time. But that all changed when both parents got better jobs in a different city in the New York state, and because of that, Jessica was forced into a brand new high school with none of her friends there to back her up if she got into trouble with other students. And that was the exact first thing that happened. More often than not, Jessica would be emotionally bullied by other females because of her flat butt, and some of the guys would join in too because they thought it couldn't hurt. The constant bullying was messing with her head, and her grades were suffering as a result. But one day she had enough; Jessica decided that day that she'd be the bully and see how the others liked being on the receiving end. She ended doing significant damage before she was caught red-handed, but not only was Jessica expelled on the spot for her efforts, but the principal had also called her parents and suggested she be brought to anger management, which the parents obliged. However, while she herself was stuck in anger management, Jessica's parents had been planning to move to Japan instead of staying to live in America, after expressing more and more concerns of how difficult it was to live in their own country all of a sudden. Suddenly, again without Jessica's consent or prior knowledge, the Mason family was on their way to the other side of the Northern Hemisphere.

However, even living in Japan wasn't without its mishaps, as Jessica found out the hard way. During the first few days living there, Jessica went to a clothing store in search of a hoodie. There was only one that she liked, and it would've cost her approximately ¥5000. Jessica didn't know if this was supposed to be enough to buy a car or enough to buy a pencil sharpener at the time, but in her mind, ¥5000 was a ridiculous price tag no matter what way one looked at it. She tried to haggle with the store clerk in order to try and cut the price down, but that had failed miserably... so she opted for the five-finger discount approach, or rather, an attempt of such. She went to the fitting room, took off the T-shirt she was wearing as well as her bra which she stuffed in her purse, put on the hoodie that she was after and tried to sneak out of the back of the store. But she was caught, and made a scene big enough to attract the attention of the police, which only got her fined. Luckily for the parents, Jessica hadn't caused any further trouble, or gotten herself into any until two years later when both parents had been at work all day. Feeling like a breath of fresh air one night, Jessica left her house and began walking up and down several streets of Tokyo, even purposely going down alleyways since she was certain that she wasn't going to get mugged or anything.

Instead, she stumbled upon a fight club that used an abandoned warehouse as their "base of operations". She was quite keen on watching a couple fights go down, but she was inevitably discovered by some muscle, who grabbed her and tossed her into the ring to fight someone herself. Needless to say that Jessica got her ass handed to her during the start of the match, having been beaten down within an inch of her life. But the near-death experience seemed to be enough for Jessica to unlock her Aethertouched Soul. This was exactly what she needed to turn the tables on her combatant, although she winded up killing him as a result of getting carried away with her new-found powers. Panic spread as the spectators rushed to create some distance between themselves and the young girl, who too was shocked by what she'd done. Barely able to process what he and everyone else had just witnessed, the organizer of the fight club had flipped out completely, berating Jessica about the murder she committed potentially costing him the whole fight ring which caused a heated argument between the two. As he was left with few options, the organizer reluctantly decided he'd best call it a night and have everyone disperse, before ordering Jessica to clean up the mess she made and threatening to kill her should she ever "pull such a stunt again". Because a lid was kept on the deadly mishap that occurred when Jessica first arrived, the fight club still seems to be active to this day. And Jessica herself, after having taken the necessary time off to get over the shock of having brutally killed a man, still makes as regular trips to the fight club each night as she can without arousing suspicion from her parents. But she hasn't yet made a more... public revelation of her Aethertouched Soul, and has yet to determine whether or not it's such a good idea.

Combat Information
Soul Manifestation: Jessica's soul manifestation takes the form of a drill that manifests in her left arm. The main drill extends 152cm (5' 0") from the center of the forearm, whereas the metal that flares out back from that adds 16cm (6') to its size. The entire drill weighs 75kg (165lbs). This meand that since the weapon is heavier than Jessica herself is and all that weight is off to the left, it becomes worryingly easy to knock Jessica off-balance unless the drill is touching the ground or a sturdy wall; especially if an attack is coming from her right flank. The superhuman strength that is commonly granted by an Aethertouched Soul does prevent the manifested drill from being completely unwieldy, but Jessica can still feel weight from the drill running through her left forearm nonetheless, and it still feels a little heavy on her. However, this does mean that she can throw significantly more force behind a punch with her left arm once it's manifested.

[spoiler=Aethertouched Ability:]Meat Grinder: Jessica throws a punch with her left hand, and manifests her drill arm just before the punch would actually connect. This results in the drill arm outright impaling whoever it was that she threw the punch at. Jessica cannot move her drill arm until approximately one or two seconds after it starts spinning, but after enough flesh is torn away, she can move the drill up, down, left, right, further in or back out; the latter of which she'll only do if she either has finished or doesn't feel like eviscerating the body. Because of the sheer brutality of the attack, this is understandably the attack that Jessica is the least comfortable in executing.

Stone Wave: After manifesting her drill arm, Jessica slams it into the ground, and then heave the drill arm in a forward motion with all her might. This in turns brings up huge chunks of earth up into the air in the direction that she heaved the drill towards at a 30-40 degree angle, which may stun whoever gets struck by these chunks of earth. Jessica may do a run-up start before lifting the drill to make the chunks of earth fly at a faster rate, which not only inflicts more damage and increases the potential for a stun, but may also cause the stun to be extended for considerable length of time.

Liquefy Dat Ground!: Here, Jessica slams her manifested drill arm into the ground and starts spinning it. This causes shock-waves that are severe enough for the very ground beneath one's feet to behave more like quicksand, dragging them downwards and making it difficult for them to escape. Jessica cannot move while channeling this technique, but the closer someone is to her when she's doing this, the less time they have to react before they get ensnared into the liquefied earth. One should assume this technique has a maximum range of 9 meters (10 yards) for practicality purposes, although Jessica can push this to 23 meters (25 yards) as an absolute maximum.
