This thread is more or less to gauge interest in seeing how many and who would like to participate and or be involved.

I have this idea for a huge card contest that spans CC, Fanfics and TCG. Maybe Graphics/Creative and Multimedia. But thats only if it gets too large to handle as is planned. Pipe dreams and all.

So onto how the Contest(s) would be structured.

  • 1 new Sub-Forum made specifically for the contest to be locked at a later date.
  • The new Sub-Forum would be used to filter things away from the other sections.
  • These would include things like Reviewer Screening threads, actual review tagged threads posted by me and permitted people.

  • <<< Custom Cards: Typical but focusing on flavor vs strategy balance. Nothing "generic". Would have the most overall requirements and cards expected to be made.
  • <<< Fanfiction: Create fun card(s) that are anime-esque in absurdity and write a short story about a duel/plot involving your card(s).
  • <<< TCG: Balance vs Usefulness. You'd also have to be able to be able to know the game enough to theorycraft an actual deck it would belong in. You are expected to submit a real decklist with your card(s) if you were to enter under this category.
  • <<< And reviewers with quality might be given consolation prizes. At my discretion and no obligation of course.

Aside from the TCG stuff which would go in Advanced Cards, your threads would be expected to be tagged and posted in their traditionally appropriate sections. Other details to be worked out at a later date or as questions/discussion arises.

You would also be free to join however many categories as you'd like, but reviewers would be exempt from the categories they are judging on.

This contest is neither guaranteed to happen, nor is this thread to explicitly join. It is to gauge interest and answer questions for those who are. You are free to post just that you'd be happy to join, every note counts.
