- The 12 Metalfoe scales all do essentially the same thing, but Steelren and Silvbird are usually better turn 1, while Goldriver and Volflame is better going second/post turn 1. This is bcause Steelren and Silvbird can be used in conjunction with Gofu to make either of the LV7/LV8s.
- Gofu is an amazing card simply because it opens up access to Synchros, as well as generating fodder to pop for Metalfoes' effects.
- Terrortop is also really strong, giving utility going first or second. Terrortop gives you access to Grampulse and Break Sword, which help you bait out backrow as well as enable Combination or Counter. It also makes Angineer which is an incredibly strong lock alongside Jowgen.
- Gofu and Terrortop rarely conflict. Usually you Normal Summon the Terrortop as Normal Summons in the deck are minimal. Bunbuku is the only other monster you would want to Normal Summon.
- Eccentrick is a strong card. You usually want it to be a utility or engine piece rather than a scale. It lets you trigger Combination or Counter, and it also gets rid of backrow before the Pendulum Summon. Being an Exiled Force has its merits for baiting out a Spirit Dragon, and it's a Level 3 if you really wanted to make a Rank 3 or Synchro into a LV8 with it.
- Counter is better than Combination. Going first, hard drawing Combination is not optimal, and you usually only need 2 Metalfoes to actually begin placing your power cards on board. Adding more Metalfoes to hand is superfluous and only gives you a recovery play which Counter does better.

Things that might come up
- Summoner's Art is not needed in the Deck. Tutoring Metalfoes is not bad, but there are better ways to go about it in the form of Painful Decision, and running 3 Summoner's Art cuts down the space you have for power cards that actually do s***.
- The Metalfoes Fusions are not actually that bad. They all provide sizable beatsticks and give you something to do with all your worthless Bunbukus on board when you don't have access to Gofu. Alkahest is a good card, Orihulk is pretty good, others are etc.
- Qliphort Builds are pretty meh overall. They require you to run 2 monsters that are strictly dependent on the other that can be easily neutered with a single Pot of Cupidity, and the end result is wasted Extra Deck slots and a Cyber Dragon Infinity that only ever hits the field when the opponent has no answer, which is usually never.
- Demise Builds are OK, but the deck would be less efficient going second. Metalfoes actually have a better "second" turn in most matchups, and while going first is usually desirable to setup Kirin/Jowgen locks, I want the deck to be built in a way that can only go first/second.
- Pot of Desires is a good card. Stahp.
- Ultimaya is an extremely large waste of deck space; summoning it takes a big investment, and the end result is usually a Crystal Wing which is pretty meh compared to just doing Kirin or Jowgen.

Things I am Missing
- I would love to find a way to fit in Ghost Ogre. Access to Horus is insanely good when going second.
- I could cut Jowgen to 2 but then I don't know what is better than the 3rd Jowgen, and removing the Speedroid engine is not an option as that is just way too good.
- Extra Deck is extremely rudimentary. I am missing a lot of things like Ignister that I would want vs Blue-Eyes, and I have no idea what to take out since almost everything I have in the Extra has been used to an extent.
