[MTG] Kaladesh Prerelease

So, how did everyone do at their prerelease? Personally, I had my worse performance in a while, only going 2-2 with one win being a bye and another against my friend who is SUPER casual. My deck was pretty sweet, if a little removal light, but between some mistakes and some really bad luck I could get the Ws. I did enjoy having had my M1G3 and M4G3 both end up with me have 6 Swamps and 1 Forest in play in a deck with several powerful double green spells and 9 forest. M4G3 was especially bad, even though I kept a bad hand (2 swamp as my only land, I had mulligan games 1 and 2 and didn't want to do it a 3rd time) I somehow drew 6 swamps before finding my first forest.

Still, had fun and I've come to the conclusion that pity packs always have the best cards with everyone in my group getting them and 3/4 having mythics (I got Sky Sovereign and friends got Nissa and Rashimi).

I'll post my deck later since right now I'm too lazy to go into my bag.

I'm also super casual, this being my first event ever, and only managed to win against my other super casual / beginner friend (1-0 into time). It was still fun though! Now we're trying to build me an EDH deck so I can play more often.

I pulled Chandra, Torch of Defiance and Dovin Baan (a friend also got Dovin Baan as his promo). I don't even play this game.

So I lived the dream and opened a mana crypt and the black gear hulk in my pool. I smashed prerelease only losing one game to a greedy opening hand and getting mana screwed. It wasn't even fair. I don't really know how the masterpieces are going to affect the health of limited for this set since if you get one of the mana rocks your deck is just miles ahead of everyone else. The rest of your pool could be dogshit but if you have a non-standard masterpiece you have a huge, unfair advantage. I'd expect draft would be the same but a little less polarizing for the person with a mana rock.

The masterpieces seem absurd to open in limited. Even past the mana rocks, the swords and overseer are also going to break any pool that has them. Not to mention they can all go into any deck thanks to being colorless. Past that the other don't seem as bad, with some being basically unplayable. I'd put Crucible, Orb, and Painter as the worse ones.
