Rules:
-All Leaderboard rules apply
-First to 3 votes or most votes by deadline wins.
-All voters must elaborate on their votes or else the vote will be rejected.
-Both contestants have the right to refuse votes, but must explain why they don't accept it.
-Card C votes are allowed in case the voter thinks both cards don't deserve a vote but must elaborate on why he/she thinks so.
-Cards must be PM'd to me.
-Written cards are allowed.
-Remove any evidence of the card being made by you to ensure anonymity
-In case a downtime or an emergency happens, the deadlines may be extended.

Deadlines:
-The deadline for cards is 48 hours after challenge has been accepted.
-The deadline for votes is 96 hours (4 days) after cards have been posted.
-In case of a challenger failing to meet the above deadline without explanation, the challenger slot will open up again, at which point it becomes first-come-first-serve between the previous challenger's and new submissions.

Rewards:
-The winner gets a rep from the loser.
-All voters get a rep for voting.

-Create 2 new Super Quantum (1 pilot and 1 mech) monsters.

 

Card A:

Super Quantum Magenta Layer
Level 8 - FIRE

(This card's Attribute is also treated as WATER. This card's Type is also treated as Psychic-Type.)
If this card is in your hand: You can send 1 "Super Quantum Red Layer" and 1 "Super Quantum Blue Layer" from your hand and/or field to the Graveyard, and if you do, Special Summon this card, and if you do that, you can add 2 "Super Quant" cards, 1 from your Deck and 1 from your Graveyard, to your hand. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target up to 3 "Super Quant" cards in your Graveyard; shuffle them into the Deck, and if you do, you can Special Summon 1 "Super Quant" monster from your Graveyard, except "Super Quantum Magenta Layer". You can only use each effect of "Super Quantum Magenta Layer" once per turn.

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects. You can activate all of these effects, if the detached Xyz Material's name is "Super Quantum Magenta Layer". This effect can be activated during either player's turn, if this card has "Super Quantum Magenta Layer" as Xyz Material.
● Target 1 monster on the field; destroy it.
● Target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy it.

When this card is discarded to activate a "Super Quant" card's effect: You can Special Summon this card. You can only use each of these effects of "Super Quantum Black Layer" once per turn. 
• When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can have all "Super Quant" monsters you control gain 1000 ATK or 1000 DEF, until the end of the next turn (your choice.) 
• If this card is sent to the Graveyard, except by being discarded: You can send 1 "Super Quantum" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Super Quantal Mech Beast" monster from your Extra Deck wiith the same Attribute as the sent monster.

Once per turn: You can attach 1 "Super Quantum" monster from your hand or field to this card as an Xyz Material.

I might as well vote so both of you at least have SOMETHING to record for Leaderboard, as opposed to making these for nothing. Although, one of you forgot to remove the creator identity, so we technically know who made what.

Set A

 

I guess the color makes sense to some extent, even though the actual composition of magenta is more than simply "combining" blue and red. But to be fair, not really seeing how this card would fit into the current Super Quantum playstyle; least in the early game anyway. It does have its uses if you can get both of those cards on the field or in hand, so you can trigger this card + those two to recycle + search multiple things, but yeah. (At least it retained the capacities of both). I guess this would also be helpful in reviving dead Magnus or something w/out the effect lock. I don't know, the card sounds good on paper, but just not seeing how well the Layer would fit into a typical SQ deck; least from my test runs. 

 

Xyz isn't bad, but it's basically a higher Rank version of Magnaliger or Granpulse if you use it as a generic Rank 8 (and there are much better generic options for those Decks). Yeah, you get to blow up two cards if you have Magenta Layer, but as I mentioned earlier, not sure how often you'll be able to do this feasibly.

 

Set B

 

Black Layer's first effect will only trigger off of Green's effect when it goes to the Graveyard, but in a way, at least you get a free summon off of it in addition to a draw. Stat booster is fine; suppose it'll let your other monsters run over stuff that they normally can't, or wall if you need to. Second effect here technically is a replacement for Magnacarrier; a bit iffy on it, but it'll let you setup whatever Xyz you need at the time without needing to discard a card, which is cool.

 

Xyz basically shuts down stuff from activating, and bounces it away if it would go to the Graveyard. On paper, it's not really bad outside of letting the opponent re-activate on-summon/activation effects if they can get that card again, but looking at the current gamestate, a bit unsure on how often you can really play this. On that note, suppose you can chain this to a on-summon monster effect and block them from using an effect, so suppose that works. Generic-wise, I suppose Paleozoics could have a use for this somewhere, but uncertain on that.

 

This technically applies for both sets, but at least these are more names for Magnacarrier to build from or even Alphan Ball; right now, they technically are stuck with the three they have now.

Going to have to vote set B on this one for consistency reasons (how often can you make this in SQs / generically for the Xyz) and flavor (I know a black Ranger exists, even though there are varying representations of their position on the force; at least from what I remember).

 

A does a lot, yes, but I just don't see how often you'll be able to make them; at least the Layer and the Xyz is really only good in this Deck. As mentioned earlier, the Xyz does have its niches for Rank 8s, but much better options exist. That, and I don't recall seeing a magenta or purple ranger anywhere in the franchise, nor any instance of red/blue "fusing".
