#6207614 Skadi, Lady of the Snow [Week 4/Card 5]

This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Beautiful Winter". Once per turn: you can banish 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard; place 3 Ice Counters on monsters your opponent controls. The effects are monsters with 3 or more Ice Counters are negated. Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle by monsters with Ice Counters.
None were as powerful with the snow as Skadi. The Lady of the Snow, the Queen of the Ice, the Goddess of the Frost. The white blanket with such beauty follows Skadi where she so chooses to hunt. Now, with the might of the Beautiful Winter by your side, call upon the Goddess and freeze your foes where they stand!
Beautiful Winter, the Ritual Spell Card

This card is an alternative Snow support. It is one of the many undersupported Archetypes I love, hence the creation of this card. Matching Ritual Spell Card is spoilered above, but the subject of discussion is the Monster itself.

#6206329 Veyron the Speed Queen [Week 4/Card 3]

2 or more Level 4 Monsters
If this card is in face-up Attack Position at the beginning of your Battle Phase, it must attack first. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. You can only control 1 "Veyron the Speed Queen". When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster.

No monster moves faster than the Speed Queen! She'll quash evil-ocity with a swift, hard kick, and force her foes into submission! She's so fast, magic can't detect her attacks! She's so quick, Traps can't spot her! When she strikes her foe, her Momentum Burst thrashes out and deals additional damage! All hail the Speed Queen!

I'm not sure about how balanced she is. Veyron is very good early game, and can cripple out lower level monsters while inflicting significant damage, but I'm still unsure about how good it is. So, give me a hand with your much appreciated critique!

#6205607 Battering Rampage [Week 4/Card 2]

Activate only when you control a monster in this card's column; negate the effects and destroy all other cards in this card's column. Cards cannot be chained to this card's activation or effect.
A furious weapon that waits for no-one, the Battering Rampage ploughs through any and all things in it's path. What makes things much, much worse is that this unstoppable force outright rips its allies to pieces just as bad as it crushes the foes and smashes down the defences of its true targets. This grim weapon beckons for violence.

This is my attempt at some form of Staple-esque card that makes fun use of Columns! It really makes you think about just where you want to place your cards, since if you accidentally have a boss monster in this thing's way before you Set it off without thinking, you could lose a precious prize to wipe out an opponent's threat! I hope the requirement of your own monster being destroyed in the path is okay!

I think the lacking of the Level Limit to Ephemeris, sadly, has sealed her fate as to be too potentially abusive. The vote must go to Card A.

#6205009 Kaiju City [Week 4/Card 1]

Once per turn, during either player's Main Phase: You can discard 1 card from your hand; for the rest of this turn, all monsters currently face-up on the field are treated as Level 8 and their ATK and DEF is doubled, but all Battle Damage is halved.
In the midst of the Crisis of the Duel, a mysterious aura has caused Monsters to turn into Titantic Monstrosities! What could be the cause of this? Beware the danger of the Kaiju City!!

I think this needs obvious nerfing. XD

I think this card is just fan-f*cking-tastic, but it could be somewhat overpowered.

This thing turns any Sp Summon into a ticking time bomb which, in itself, is not a bad thing. I reckon that first effect on its own would make this card absolutely fine.

The second effect could be what makes this dangerous, since it turns this card into a bomb for a sudden monster destruction.

Of course, I think with it eating up a Spell Card Zone and being continuous and therefore prone to Spell/Trap destruction, this might be balanced out.

Fire Kings love this btw

#6202633 Avalon [Week 3/Card 5]

When a "Noble Knight" monster or this face-up card you control would be destroyed (either by battle or by card effect): You can activate this effect; destroy 1 "Noble Arms" Equip Spell Card instead. Up to twice per turn: You can target 1 "Noble Knight" monster on the field equipped with a "Noble Arms" Equip Spell Card; increase its Level by 1.
Hic jacet sepultus inclitus rex Arthurus in insula Avalonia.

The technical ante-penultimate card of Week 3 shows off a Field Spell, Avalon. You will be able to see the special monster this thing helps create when I post the Week 3 Set! As you can tell, it protects Noble Knights more. I am thinking, though, of shifting the effect around somewhat.

Ideas are much appreciated!

I like this. It is a relatively cool and clean concept, Synchro Substitute Monsters, although this one could only work with cards with specific monsters like, say, Junk Warrior. I suppose it adds a very nice alternative to the Synchrons, but I do not know of any other monsters it could substitute for.

All in all, there's not much to say about it. It is a nice and simple card which does what it does like no-one else can, and that's good, so well done. ^^

I don't see this forum as dying.

I see this forum's faces are changing.

In reality, that's all that is happening.

#6199673 Pelleas, Vanguard of Noble Knights [Single Challenge 56/100]

How did I miss this?

On face value this is pretty nifty. Not only can you recycle two Noble Arms Equip Spells (& their effects) you also give them a new target. It also gives off some significant burn damage, and can allow you to recycle a Noble Knight when he dies.

However, when comparing this to other Noble Knights, it can be a Dead Draw often because of its Nomi Status. This is like Lancelot, who's a Dead Draw on the occasion. Then again it does act as a nice Boss monster alternative.

I would suggest dropping this thing's Level to 5, so that you can give it Xyz potential with Lancelot. You could swap the Burning to allow this thing to search a Noble Knight from your Deck to your hand, but it isn't necessary. Otherwise, this thing is pretty damn solid.

You have also inspired me to, now, make my own Noble Knight support XD

This is overdue, but I felt I might as well say this, since the guy left and made mention to me without my knowledge.

There's only one word that sums up Agro for me, and that is my Slushy.

My lack of posting consists of work (both my job and around the house and yard) and preparations for summer classes. I'll get to posting soon as soon.

Posted. So glad to have two other voices to work with for dialogue.

Thanks for letting me know. Is there anything I can do to try and help you out with this? = .

Sorry, you handle things so well IC with direction that I often forget to come look over here. Don't worry, I am in this for the long haul. Just testing this week and next, so kinda busy/tired.

#6197097 A Generic Level 7 Synchro! [White Carnation Dragon]

Posted by Kyng on 09 May 2013 - 12:04 PM

She bested Aether Dragon, but with good reasons for it.

A very nice alternative to Black Rose Dragon, she gives us a beautiful ability to Xing Zen Hu the opponent's backrow gradually, and can potentially lockdown an opponent's backrow, which is very nice!

That, and she's also got that "b**** please" effect negating ability to really make her Summoning prominent, as well as in-built protection.

She was the rightful winner, and is a pretty damn great card as it stands. Well done, Zexxie ^_^

My vote goes to Envious Snatcher.

All-Consuming Greed Knight seems too overpowered. Its effect reads, to me at least, like a Quick Effect which allows you to Tribute a target for, say Mind Control, and you get to draw off of it. That, plus its already high attack, spoils what could be a really good card. I reckon just lowering the stats by 200 each would balance it. Also, a once per turn clause is absolutely Vital for this card, for because I could foresee Frog-xodia which just further breaks this guy.

Envious Snatcher, however, is a beautiful card. While it is restricted to Reptiles which need more play nowadays, its effect is both brilliant support for the type (Alligators would be sooo happy with him, and I am kind of sad this isn't an Alligator for that very reason) and its effect is not abusable because you can only Tribute itself.
