Phantom M.C.
ask which door will save me the guard will point to the door that leads to your death, just choose the other door or ask which door will lead to my death the guard will point to the door that will save you
Serenity the Candyman
not necessary. ask which door will save me The honestant will telll you but the swindlecant wont and vice versa for the other question so no
Phantom M.C.
oh, i thought there was only 1 swindlecat guard, must've missed that part. i'll try again so, you can ask each guard 1 question for a total of 2 questions?
Serenity the Candyman
no there is only one guard but i was saying that depending on your questions and if the guards were either of the 2 types, you would not get an exact answer. Serenity the Candyman
After rereading the riddle....there is two guards..... my bad for think there was only one
Phantom M.C.
so here's the scenario: 2 doors, 1 to death, 1 to life 1 guard is a swindlecat, and the other guard could be either a honestant OR swindlecat 1 question to each of the guards, for a total of 2 questions, or do you have to pick 1 guard and ask 1 question only? Serenity the Candyman
Sotos has done it +1rep to you there was a possible of 3 answer: Indirect question: „Hey you, what would the other guard say, if I asked him where this door leads?“ The answer is always negated. Tricky question: „Hey you, does an honestant stand at the door to freedom?“ The answer will be YES, if I am asking an honestant who is standing at the door to freedom, or if I am asking a swindlecant standing again at the same door. So I can walk through the door. A similar deduction can be made for negative answer. Complicated question: „Hey you, what would you say, if I asked you ...?“ An honestant is clear, but a swindlecant should lie. However, he is forced by the question to lie two times and thus speak the truth.
