Hi, forumites. Im kinda new here and probably I will make a lot of OCG/balancing mistakes.

"Balrog, the Burning Abyss"

This card can only be Special Summoned from your Fusion Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck (You do not use Polymerization). The Special Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all non-"Abyss" monsters you control. You may then Special Summon to the field in Attack Position as many Level 4 or lower FIRE monsters removed from play as monsters destroyed by this card's effect. The summoned monsters have their effects negated, and lose half their ATK. Once per turn, you can tribute 1 Level 4 or lower FIRE monster to raise this card's ATK by the Level of the tributed monster x200 (Battle Damage is negated), and switch this card to Defense Position after Damage Step. You can pay 500 Life Points to switch this card to Attack Position before the End Phase of the same turn the above effect was activated. Whilst this card is in Attack Position, increase this card's ATK by 100 everytime a FIRE "Abyss" monster declares an attack (it cannot exceed 4000 ATK)."

- If it's your opponent's Deck, you can pay 300 Life Points to discard one Level 4 or lower monster, and send it to the opponent's Graveyard.
After you activate this Spell card's effect, "Barad-dur Tower" cannot declare an attack."

Probably im going to create a whole deck based on this xD.

Thx! ^^. Im thinking about changing Balrog's card name too. This deck will focus around sacrifices to make select cards stronger, or to amass a lot of weak monsters, just like Sauron/Saruman does in the movies (the sacrifices meaning the greedy personalities of both villains).

Not bad, although it's hard to judge balance without all the cards (especially "The One Ring").

The Balrog's last effect makes it overpowered. Removing a FIRE monster from your deck for revival is way too easy, and in many cases taking cards from the deck is something you want to do. Simply removing from the graveyard is enough - it's not hard, but at least you have to put them there. Removing from the hand isn't really going to matter, since people just won't do it unless the gave is empty.

Volcanic Fury seems a bit too powerful - maybe a higher cost for each counter?

Horde calling horn also seems slightly over-powered, since it can be re-used (it doesn't say the equipped monster has to be in attack position - if it's already in defense position, that effect will just disappear) and it's not a high cost.

OCG:

Balrog:
"This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 2 FIRE monsters in your Graveyard. (I've removed the remove from deck to revive, although I've left the hand option. Also, since you can get it destroyed in your turn, I've made it either battle phase. I've added a clause that it has to go to the graveyard to revive, which means if it's removed from play it can't revive, which is standard for revival effects.)

Mount Doom:
"When a "Sauron" monster is Special Summoned to your field, place 1 Magma Counter on this card. You can remove Magma Counters from this card to activate one of the following effects:
- 2 Counters: Special Summon one Level 3 or lower Pyro-Type monster from your Graveyard.
- 4 Counters: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent's Life Points for each "Sauron" Monster you control.
- 6 Counters: Destroy one Spell or Trap card your opponent controls.
- 8 Counters: Add 1 "The One Ring" from your Deck to your hand."

Sauron:
"This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "The One Ring". When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all non-"Sauron" monsters you control. Once per turn, you can increase the ATK of "Sauron" monster you control by 800 until the End Phase. When this card declares an attack, decrease the DEF of the target monster by 500. You can tribute 1 Level 4 or lower "Sauron" monster to increase this card's ATK by 800 until the End Phase."
(I've changed the boosts to the end of the turn, since that's what it is usually is. I also added a 'no normal summon' clause, which I'm guessing you were intending. Also note that at the moment if you summon it and it gets destroyed you can revive it with Monster Reborn and similar cards. If you want to keep summoning it exclusively to the one ring card, it should say: "This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "The One Ring".)

(I've changed the destruction to the end phase, to simplify the effect. This wording also means you lose Mount Doom at the end of the turn regardless of whether or not you have counters. The second effect stops you setting another mount doom to avoid the destruction/damage effect.)

Orc Horde:
"When you Normal Summon this card, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower "Horde" monster from your Deck. Once per turn, whilst this card is in Defense Position, this card cannot be destroyed by battle (Damage calculation is applied normally)."

Horde Commander:
"If your Life Points are below 3000, you can Special Summon this card from your hand in Attack Position."

Horde Calling Horn:

This is wrong. Morgoth was Sauron and the Balrog's superior, and is a character in the Silmarillion. There are a couple of named Balrogs, but the one Gandalf fought is not one of them.

I'll agree that you should look up some of the background if you haven't already, since it could give you some useful information (for example, your 'horde commander' is named Gothmog), although you can get away with just watching the films and/or reading the books and come out with decent cards, and you don't even need to use any extra information you find.

Also, I'll second the comments on fiend-warrior. Unless you're creating support for it, you're better off having Sauron as a fiend and the orcs as warriors or beast-warriors (real cards depicting orcs and goblins have them as beast-warriors.)

Next up is Sacrifice Pit, a way to recover Life Points to counter the general LP payment that most cards require xD

BUMPAGE due to 2 new cards: Gothmog, Greater Abyss and Sauron's Abyss Troll. It appears his "horde commander" and this particular Balrog share the same name. Coming soon: Moria Mines Field Spell (and some organization and spoiler using to prevent this thread from being excessively long).
