You can change your post, and I'll change mine as well. I don't know the effects of Spirit monsters any better than you do. Either way, I'm not obliged to let you hit me with your first attack. I could have activated Mirror Force or something, but I chose another path instead.

Bottom line: LIVE WITH IT.

Evilfusion is right as well. Also, I don't really have to change my post, since my move still works. You summoned, I negated that summon. Simple as that.

thats what I did. and I dont want any easy win but come on I've duel Zero twice and he just destroys everything and wont even let me get one hit so I'm thinking of choising any easy tie for this duel if He just destroys everything I have.

Bottom Line: Heres how this duel will end SELF-DESTRUCT BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, guys...relax.

There is a time when counters are overdone, and times when they're expected and normal. It also has a lot to do with the way the other player makes their moves and effects.

Self-Destruct Button does not seem like an appropriate Duel Conclusion, as I'm tempted to advise forced draws to count as a loss. In an elimination tournament with 2 losses per person, draws need a penalty, because there's NO POINT TO ONE. A duel ending in a draw is a waste of time.

His turn is finished. He modified his first post to create Tribute fodder for DDS, attacked, set cards and ended. Your post neutralizes DDS, so that part of the post is gone. He has no responses to make. A bit of an assumption, but a safe one.

He currently has no hand, no monsters, 3 f/d cards and Call.

True, a draw could count as a loss for both, but it's also the intention behind the move. You strongly implied using Self Destruct Button randomly out of spite, and since Self Destruct's SOLE purpose is to create a draw, that result would be deliberately wasting time.

If such a scenario came up, I'd have to discuss it with SSD, and I'd really like to avoid that path, because it can be considered just trying to screw an RPer over for something, if a person with 2 losses left forced a draw against a person with 1 loss left, kicking their character out of the tournament/RP while getting off pretty much unscathed. Trying to create a concrete rule to affect all scenarios because someone wanted to violate the spirit of the RP is realy something I dont want on my "to-do" list.

This is also why I suggested talking out the outcome with your opponent if you're concerned about the result.

I'm okay with losing in a fair duel, but a lot of people will magically counter every move you make no matter how random the move sees, and other times people will make super long moves that you can have countered but look cheep so you feel bad.
All and all its a matter of how you go about it.

So true. I have seen many RPs where people make the most situational move with a card that would never be used otherwise to counter something at the perfect moment... I hope that doesn't happen here -_-
