Bought a Parkway Drive album today, which was a gamble given my usual well-thought out purchases to suddenly buy an album by a band I've heard only very little of. But it has sounded pretty damn good so far.
Was tempted to get a Mastodon album as well, but thought only seven songs was a bit short, wasn't prepared to get it on the strength of 'Divinations' alone. Plus the album cover looked pretty naff.
Opeth are pretty awesome, dunno why I don't listen to them more often.
*Would like a new sig to go here please. Anyone want to do me one please PM me*
Thank you to Daemon, Tormented and Yin for all signiture artwork.

I might as well come in here, due to Kuri's lyric lunge being dead!

Mastodon's Crack the Skye is actually very good. It's really not very short, clocking in at 50 minutes due to two songs that exceed the ten-minute mark.
If you get an Opeth album, I suggest starting with Blackwater Park.

Will defo consider it when I go back to HMV next time for another 2 for a tenner. Most Mastodon stuff I've heard is brilliant.
Hmm, the Interweb seems to be mucking around with Windows Media Player...

I was thinking of buying Korn's new album (Korn III - Remember Who You Are), but I decided to pass. I only heard Let the Guilt Go, so I didn't want to buy and not like it.

I heard a few songs by Underoath, but never got into them. Where should I start?

If you're buying an Underoath album, I would start with Define the Great Line. It's basically the album that made them who they are today, and is one of my favorites. Every album they've put out is good, but Define the Great Line and everything after are them at their best.
I never got into Korn, so I can't really help you there

This my surprise you, but some people just don't like Slipknot.
Don't neg people because you disagree with their musical taste, you'll get bad feedback VERY quickly. Not everyone likes the same thing, so let's try and respect people opinions, bro.

Thrash anyone?
Hell yeah, Big 4 for the win!
Anyways, I absolutely love death metal. Some of my favorites are old Sentenced (first 3 albums), Children of Bodom and Sotajumala.
Some bands I've recently found are Suicidal Tendencies which I fell in love with straight ahead, then there's Sleep and Black Label Society.
You should all listen to this:
1 hour of pure epic Doom metal.
Sometimes I try to do things, and it just doesn't work out the way I want it to.
It's like, I try hard to do it, and I get real frustrated.
And I take my time, but it just doesn't work out the way I want it to.
It's like I concentrate on it real hard, but it just doesn't work out.
And everything I do and everything I try, it never turns out!
It's like, I need time to figure these things out.
There's always someone there going,
"Hey Mike, you know, we've been noticing you've been having a lot of problems lately, you know.
You should maybe get away, and like, maybe you should talk about it, you'd feel a lot better.
I go, "No, it's okay you know, I'll figure it out, just leave me alone, I'll figure it out you know. I'm just working on myself."
And they go, "Well, you know, if you wanna talk about it, I'll be here ya know,
and you'll probably feel a lot better if ya talked about it, so why don'tcha talk about it?!"
I go, "No! I don't want to, I'm okay! I'll figure it out myself!"
But they just keep buggin' me!
They just keep buggin' me, and it builds up inside!
