Ace prowled the dead wastland, with a rather bored expression on his face. He looked down at the ground and sighed heavily. He knelt down slightly and drew a familar face in the dirt; the face of his younger sister.
"How long has it been...since I've seen your face...Tristian..." he sighed "How I miss you so..."
In an instant, he reached for one of his pockets and jerked out a small knife. Ace stood up completely and fiercly threw the small knife onto the impression in the dirt.
"So long..." he chuckled. His laugh broke through a thick silence in the area. Ace looked out into the distance; charred trees and other remains of the enviorment that was once living here, before the state of nature engulfed the land.

Alex held the picture of her old beloveds, all the deads ones crossed off. This was from when she was 11, so her brother had not been born yet. A picture of him was taped on the back. Them, and two others, were circled. But Alex retrieves the picture and crosses one of the two circled, who looked like their Grandmother, and put a "?" on the other, who looked like possibly their Uncle. She then wrote in a Journal, "Rose Ryder- Grandmother. Cause of Death- Killed in Fire. Palomino Ryder- Uncle. Status Unknown; Possibly Drowned, considered Deceased." She sighed. "Old Rose, she has finally withered and burned. And Funny Palomino. Hopefully your soul wasn't washed away."

Tristian had been walking around for hours, with no particular destination. She was lost in her thoughts and the same person kept coming in her mind no matter how many times she tried to block them out: her older brother Ace.
She hadn't seen him in years, but she always hears about him here and there.
He's not himself anymore... she tried convincing herself in her mind. But hearing about all the murders and other cruel acts commited by Ace and the rest of Demens never failed to anger her more and more. She was determined to end all of that.
She continued to walk, and attempt to block old memories out of her mind.

Age,hidden inside an abandoned building, looked around to see if anybody was still chasing him. "Do you see him" a person said "he has to be around here. Lets split up, you two inside the building, you three search the forest, you and me will look around here." The group of people split up searching for Age, who stole food from them which the group of people had taken from a poor family. The two in the building split up looking in different rooms. "What is this" The man said, " a piece of string," the man pulled the string making it rip launching a kunai from the other side of the room straight through his chest killing him instantly. "What was that" the other man in the building yelled hearing no response. The man walked into the room finding his comrade dead on the floor. "No, how could you die" the man said. "Are those your last words" Age said while still hidden. "What, whose there" the man said, "show yourself." Age then came down from the ceiling landing behind the man. Age then got one of his kunais and slashed the man throat before the man knew what got him. Age then picked up the kunai that was used to kill the first man. He then got out of the building through the ceiling escaping the other men.
"What are we going to do now" the wife of the poor family said, "without any food we won't survive. A shadow then passed over the dropping the food that was originally theirs plus more. "What was that" the wife said. "Well whoever it was Thank You!" The husband screamed.

Ace still stares off in the ruins as he sits on uneven ground. He's not laughing or even smiling anymore. For a moment he found himself thinking; rembering. Ace's mind scoffed at him. His expression was solemn and he prompts himself to stop thinking about useless things. Slowly, he stands up and picks up his seven-ft katana that lay besides him in it's sheath. Ace adjusts the sheath onto his coat and as he does so, he finds himself subconciously speaking what he was thinking just now.
"I'll find you. I'll destroy every inch of your very being, and I swear to do it without a single regret..." he said, his voice tone deathly serious.
Ace's own voice echoed in his mind.
I don't regret anything...
When he was done, he casually glanced towards his group, with a vacant look in his eyes.
"I'm going. You already know what to do. If you find anyone that isn't of interest, kill them and take anything that they have. We'll meet back somewhere around here, and don't come back unless your hands are stained with blood..." he said, sounding bored.
Ace then rushed off with great speed to find someone that might have been of slight interest to him; someone from Iniuria Ius or someone from Prudentia.

As Tristian was walking she came to a sudden stop as she realized something, she had wandered off for hours now, for no particular reason. This came as a surprise to her as this wasn't something she usually did, she barely ever zones out and wanders off.
Must be the heat... she thought to herself as she blankly stared off into the distance for a minute.
Realizing that she had wasted hours of time and she was far away from where the rest of her group were, she quickly turned around and rushed to get back and find them, finally completely coming back to reality.

A young man was at the windowsill of the second floor of an old run down apartment building. He would have gone up higher but the elevators didn't work and the stairs were demolished. The young man was holding an M16 assault rifle and looking through the scope on it instead of binoculars. "Location...I forgot a few hours ago...time...lost track a few hours ago...damn...well at least I can tell it's daytime since the sun is out." He let out a sigh as he slumped back into the room. He layed down on his stomach laying his rifle away to the side. He'd lay on his back but the three explosive grenades attached to the back of his belt and the SMGs to his side would make it seriously uncomfomfortable. I've been stuck in this room for how many hours now? It's so boring...I wonder if I'd be able to take a nap for a bit and go unnoticed..." He sat back up and grabbed his rifle. "No...I have a job. If I want to get rid of the Demens and get order back then I must do it. He went back to the windowsill looking for any enemy troops that may come by. "Wait...I'm supposed to be waiting for any enemy troops and then take care of them." HYoma looked behind him into the empty room. "This is a suicidal mission..."

Ace slowed his steps as he appoarched more city ruins. Everything was still and silent and anyone could feel the chaos that had spread over this area. The simple feeling made Ace grin. He scanned his surrounds; mostly run down and nearly fully destroyed apartment complexes. There were a few houses, but Ace could barely tell, since the traces were faint. He made sure to proceed in intense silence; he wasn't dumb. Even if it didnt really seem like it, there could have been people; Enemies. As the leader of the Demens, Ace found himself having more enemies than anything else. People wanted to see him dead, they wanted to put an utter end to his exsistance. This thought also made Ace grin. He longed to be challenged, to be detested. Ace stopped his movements completely as he noticed one apartment building come into view; it wasnt completely destroyed, but it didnt look to be in such a great shape either. He decided to take a look inside; he held no doubt in his mind that if it were to collaspe, he could escape. Ace thought that maybe he could find something; weapon crates or something that he would eventually find to be useful.

Aidan followed after Ace, as he always had, as long as he could remember. Ace had taken him under his wing after he was found, nearly dead, in the middle of nowhere. Even without any human emotions, he felt himself drawn to Ace, his bloodthirstiness, his murderous tendencies, those that were so similar to his own. However, Ace was not the most caring. If Aidan didn't keep up, he was left behind, thus he learned not to. He silently followed behind him into an abandoned apartment, his halberd strapped to his back, nearly dragging across the ground as he ran.

OoC: I just figure that he'd be with Ace, and, realistically, I don't think he could do much without someone to lead him.

Hyoma couldn't help but notice the two men walk in to the same apartment that he was in. He monitored the movement of the two trying to determine any sort of alliance. It wasn't until the men reached the entrance of the apartment building that he recognized one of the men. "Th-that's Ace! The famed leader of the Demens. What would he be doing here? And only one person with him? It seems stupid for the leader of the most evil group since the nazis to be going out with this little of escort. And with only a katana. Heh...this is my chance He rested his assault rifle on his back, the strap keeping it their in place. He reached for his grenades but stopped. "If I let one of those go off here this whole place will collapse. He pulled out one of his MPK5s. "Perfect. It's not a very big weapon which will allow me to manaveur around freely. He'll have a problem with that freakishly long katana. And the other one had another big melee weapon. He silently stepped into the hallway to wait for the two and try to catch them off guard.

Alex pulled out a flute and started to play. "My only remnant, of this life. We are One, this Flute and I. It's in my blood to play it." She then puts her flute back, and started sing a song from an Old Movie she loved back when this wasn't a Wasteland. "Be prepared for the chance of a lifetime. Be prepared for SENSATIONAL news..." She rolled her eyes. "It's like this song gave me a Opposite Forewarn. As if I was to take the meaning, and make it the opposite. The chance of a lifetime backwards meant... wasteland. Sensational News... must mean Bad news that obliterates us all."

After Age left the food to the poor family he went to his usual hideout, a lonely tree in the middle of a little town. The tree was about 20 ft high and covered completely by leafs from about half way and higher. As he climbed up the tree he picked a few leafs and took them with him into the top of the tree. When he got there he laid down on a branch and put one of the leafs to his mouth. With one deep breath he started playing the song Oracion with the leaf. All the people in the town that could hear the music gathered around the tree to listen to the beauty of it. "I guess I'll always be alone" Age thought to himself, " Well at least I have this song." Oracion was the last song that Age heard before he was taken away from his parents which is why it has sentimental value to him. Before he finished playing the song a loud noise was heard from the outsude of the village, and then the ground shook. The townspeople were screaming and running around out of fear. Age popped his head out of the tree and saw that there was smoke and people close to it. " Demens?" Age thought to himself as He leaped out of the tree onto a building running toward the smoke.

Sparrow gave a small sigh. She sat underneath a charred tree, without leave like those of old autumns. Except now "autumn" was eternal. A small radio was clutched in her hand. It played the same message over and over again; An old broadcast.
"Welcome to the Daily News. Here we talk to you about urgent or abnormal stories from around the world. One story came to our attention.
The Margoves, with their 17 year old daughter Seren and their 5 year old son Cheren have been forced out of their home due to inability to pay the bills. This sort of problem has been happening frequently recently, but this story stands out, because friend of Seren, the 18 year old Black Sparrow, fought for their right to stay. Due to her involvement in the problem, she was almost arrested. But, in the midst of chaos, Black Sparrow dissapeared. A body was then found in a river not far away. Seren is in grief over the possible death of her friend."
"I wish I could tell you Seren..." Black said softly, clutching the radio tightly, and switching off the power.
She leapt to her feet. There was work to be done.

Instantly upon entering the apartment, Aidan knew something was amiss. His heightened senses told him someone was nearby. He looked to a nearby hallway and merely pointed in its direction, making sure Ace noticed. He brandished his halberd, easily wielding it in one hand, as he slowly approached the entrance to the hallway, sidling along the wall. He made sure Ace was also in position before he continued. Both of them wielded melee weapons, and most likely they would be facing someone with artillery of some sort, as usual.

Ace smirked evily upon entering the apartment building. He had already taken a mental note of all of his surroundings; he knew exactly what needed to be done. Ace needed a change in scenary, no matter how much he didn't want to admit it. He glanced towards Aiden and knew instantly that Aiden was also quite aware of the situation they were. It wasn't much a problem, Ace was thinking.
Though...I need to get out of this building. It's small and narrow...That only spells trouble for me right now...
Ace's steps were still slow and silent; though he knew that whoever was watching them right now, already had knowledge of their presence.

Hyoma was hidden around the corner making sure to keep quiet yet at the same time to stay ready for whatever. His back was pressed against the wall. He didn't want the grenades or rifle to make a noise by accidentally bumping against the wall. In these hallways slash attacks are definately out of the question. The best they can do is lunge. If they haven't already even taking out their weapons will be a hassle. I doubt they're so stupid as to realize that. Their weapons are probably out and ready for a lunge. All I need to do is to evade back into this corner. They'd have to turn to get to me and again with those weapons." He looked at the open entrance to the apartment room he was in before. "Last case scenario I jump out. It's only the second floor. I could also throw a grenade back into this place. The place might come down with it...I'm thinking to much...it's quiet...odd. Oh screw it. I have my plan." His agressiveness took over causing him to jump from around the corner. The noise caused from this would be able to blow his cover to anybody nearby but his SMG was ready to shoot whatever was there or might come out.

Age kept running toward the smoke jumping from roof to roof. As he got closer to the smoke he noticed that some people were ravaging a local shop. As Age took a closer look he realized that it was the demens. "Should I interfere and stop them" Age thought to himslef, "As a matter of fact can I even stop a whole group of them." Even after thinking that he chose to try to stop them. While hidden on the roof of a building he tied a string to one of his kunais. As the demen started to come out of the shop Age threw the kunai into the mans throat and then pulled it back to leave no evidence of what killed him. The demen fell to the floor trying to stop the bleeding, but it was futile, he was going to bleed to death. After Age was sure that the demen was dead he started once again jumping from roof to roof to go toward the smoke and see what the explosion about.

As the opponent lunged from his hiding place, Aidan did as well, running into the hallway. He made sure to place his halberd between himself and the enemy, using it's large surface area to cover any vital spots as he charged the man wielding an SMG. As long as those were covered he would be fine, as he was made not to ignore pain from anything minor such as a gun shot to a place as unimportant as a foot or a shoulder. Luckily the hallways wasn't too restricting, and if he had to before flushing the man out of the hallway, there would be enough room to swing. He was ready to kill, as always, however he knew he might be forced to jump out a window, as they had made their way to the second floor. He spotted the man, noticing him to be only a few years older than himself, and doubled his speed as he charged forward, readying his halberd for a strike while keeping himself protected. The killing intent enveloped him, and he even forgot about Ace.

OoC: It's wierd having a character who never talks or thinks much.

Hyoma fired at the man with his SMG but to no avail. Even the bullets that managed to hit him didn't seem to slow him down one bit. It was dangerous but he'd have to do it. With his free hand he quickly grabbed one of the grenades. With a trick of the hand he pulled the pin with his index finger and threw it along with the pin. His target wasn't for the charging man though. His goal was to throw it behind the man. "Save your boss or come after me!" Unfortunately Hyoma had just ran out of ammo in that gun. He dived into the room while putting the SMG back into its holster. He rolled in and turned around while simutaneously taking out his assault rifle ready for whatever would happen next. He was still prepared to jump out the window of the small room if necessary.

As Age got closer and closer to the explosion site he noticed that it wasn't just demens ravaging a town, it was a full scale attack on the town. Age quickly realized that the explosion was to break the wall that was protecting the town. Age then rushed into a shop not caring who saw him and got a flare. He quickly ran up a wall hanging on the side of a building. After getting up he shot the flare straight up hoping that someone would see that the town was in need of assistance. He then ran back down with his sword in one hand and the kunai with an attached string on the other. The first demen he saw was looking away from him so Age rushed him and stabbed his back with his sword going straight through his body causing an instant kill. As Age looked back he saw that 5 more demens were walking toward him so he quickly went on top of the roof. "Dam" Age thought to himself as he hid up on the roof, "Theres nothing much I can do, but If I don't do something this town will be destroyed. Please, someone come to this towns aid." Age then jumped of the building shooting the kunai toward one of the demens killing him, then Age pulled the kunai back while still in the air. As he landed he shot the kunai again killing another demen. The 3 remaining demens rushed to kill Age each with a two-hended sword. Age quickly ran toward a wall and ran up it then using it to jump over the demens. When Age landed he slashed killing one of the demens and shot his kunai killing the another demon. As he stood up the final demen slashed his sword cutting Age above his right shoulder. Age dropped his sword, but manage to withstand the pain long enough to shoot the kunai again killing the final demen. Soon after that he rushed into the shop to hide while he stopped the bledding.

Ace witnessed everything going on, and as for his own movements, he hadn't exactly been able to plan through all of that. He took note of his surroundings again and barely flinched when he noticed Aiden make his move. Ace was thinking; plotting. He noticed the gun that the stranger carried and then he groaned a bit.
Goddamn...Idiotic guns...
He watched as Hyoma grew closer and closer to the window. His eyes widened with vivid realization.
There...
What Ace did next, was a pure act of impluse. He held onto the handle of his still sheathed katana, and he datred towards the enemy, eventually springing up unexpectedly when he was close enough, and putting his feet together in the air. As he did this, he pressed his weight downward. When he reached Hyoma, things were aligned well enough for Ace's kick to be able to push Hyoma out of the window; Ace didn't expect him to fall and injure himself, he didn't want this. He only hoped to achive his change in scenary. With this kick, however, Ace was also forced out of the window by his own weight. When he landed, he landed with a thud, but it was flat on his feet. His cloak remained on, and it flowed with every gust of wind that would come by.

As Aidan charged, his foe threw a grenade and spouted something about protecting Ace, as if such a thing would ever be necessary. Ace came from behind Aidan and dealt a kick to the man, sending both of them careening out the window. Aidan followed suit, and jumped out the window a moment before the grenade went off. The shock made the already withered building begin to crumble, throwing dust and debris around. He came to stand beside Ace, who looked none the worse from the fall, even keeping his cloak on. They were still cautious, for he knows what other tricks might be pulled. He was bleeding from a few bullet wounds, but the bullets had gone clean through, and the wounds would heal soon enough. The scientists had made sure of that.

As Tristian walked into the gloomy, ran down town she could see that there was a lot of chaos going on, she grabbed her knife out of her back pocket and stayed very alert as she walked through the town, ready to defend herself if anything was to happen.
As she walked through the town she realized that there was no one to be seen from Iniuria Ius.
Where the hell are they? she thought to herself.
As she walked for a few for minutes, she entered an abandoned shop to see Age hiding and bleeding.
"What happened here?" she asked him.

Hyoma was not expecting the kick. He was expecting a sword attack that he'd able block and counter with his rifle. Instead he was kicked through the window of the second story window."Damn. My escape plan backfired." Like his opponent he also fell with a thud but unfortunately for him it wasn't onto his feet. He rolled a few times to reduce the damage but it still hurt like hell. He quickly got up not wanting to waste time and let his enemy get close. Luckily for him the grenade did go off and covered the place in dust and debris. He first decided to get a bit more distance from the two and by continuing to use the cover to his advantage he reloaded the MPK5 he had previously used. He then quickly used his free hand to grab another grenade and put it in his mouth. As the debris began to clear he took out his other MPK5 ready for whatever the two might do.

"Hey boss! Is that smoke over there?" asked Mike.

Brian looked over in the direction that Mike was pointing at. "Yeah, that is smoke. A lot of smoke. Can't be a good sign."

Teresa walked up to Brian and pointed off to the right a little. "Someone shot a flare! They must be wanting some help! But it's a little ways from the smoke, and people usually don't need help to deal with a fire. Especially a big town like that." she said.

Cole nodded his agreement as Brian took a look around at his squad. A big fire, plus a flare was not a good sign. They could be walking in on a battle. But was his squad ready for something big? It was true that they had encountered plenty of battles and are all excellent fighters, yet nothing major. Only he had experience with the chaos that comes with a big battle.

Brian ran a hand through his shaggy hair and looked at his squad again. Mike was moving from foot to foot in anticipation of a battle. Teresa tied her hair up. Cole, the big guy of the group, and the demolition expert, nodded at Brian letting him know he was ready. Brian nodded back, then looked over at Cally. She returned his gaze with a glare.

"Let me guess. Since I'm 14 and have no experience in fighting, I have to stay back where it's safe?" she asked with an agitated voice.

Brian simply smiled. Cally was part of the group, but she did no fighting. Mostly because he wouldn't let her, but also because he didn't want to see her hurt. He'd come to view her as the little sister he never had, and his closest friend. He would do anything to protect her.

"Actually Cally," Brian began, "You will be coming with us. There is to much of a chance that you may get attacked out here. And we can't just leave you somewhere in the town. In big battles like this, you never know who will retreat, when they will retreat, and how they will retreat. You could wind up getting trampled. No, you will stick close to me like you did when we had to take out that sniper. Just be sure"

"To do everything you say, when you say it. I know Brian. I've been by your side for two years now. I'm not stupid." Cally interrupted.

"Good." Brian answered. "Now come on everyone. Check your gear and let's get moving. These people may need some help badly. And if it's as bad as I fear, stay close, and NO goofing off! Is that understood?"

"Sir yes sir!" replied the squad.

"Well come on then! Let's get going!" Cally yelled as she ran past Brian towards the town.
