Anitnomy was heading over to check on how Aporia and Paradox since finding out the truth about the marks on their arms and what had happened in the past, they had already found most of the signers but there was still one that they hadn't found yet and it was important to find out who it was so that they could stand up to whatever was coming. He was worried about all the strange incidents that had been going on and he had left a message for Achilles to look into the strange events where people were getting injured while dueling, it could lead to what was behind the Machine Emperors Yusei had left in his message.

Achilles sped up, until his duel runner appeared to be a golden blur. He sped through the streets until finally he saw a boy. Quite young, 10 maybe. Around him there was a fading infinity sign, and it was obvious who had lost. He looked around for the other duelist, but there was no-one to be seen. Instead, Achilles picked up the kid and put him on the back of his duel runner. He got on himself, but before he could start the engine, something happened. Time and Space seemed to distort around a single point, then burst outwards creating a portal, which was pitch black with swirling lights of blue, green, yellow, red and so many other colours, some of which didn't have names. Then, someone rode out of the portal which closed behind him with an audible POP. Then it started to rain. Thunder crashed and lightning flashed. Achilles was drenched already, but he was still staring at the stranger.
"God Sake! Astro Tempus Transporter has broken! Too much... inteferance..." The stranger said, then turning his head to Achilles.
"Signer?"
"Y- Yes."
"Not a first signer obviously, I was there, helping 'em here and there. You look nothing like 'em"
"Second signer, as far as I know. How could you have been with the first signers?! There's no reference to you, not to mention it was so many years ago! Who are you?!"
"I don't answer many questions but put it this way; I may be your best friend or your worst nightmare. I'll be off then, you'll see me again though." The stranger finished off, driving his sleek black duel runner through the dark streets. Achilles was already driving, making sure the child was safe and also making a call to Antinomy.
"We have a problem my friend. Gather the signers, we need to talk."

Ran cleaned his house after moving into Neo Domino City. He managed to get some cash after many years of living in the Satellite. It then started raining and thunder and lightning clashes. He knew something was wrong. He then shuffled his deck and rode his Duel Runner. He rushed to the Signers HQ. He saw Achilles's Duel Runner. He then asked Achilles, "What happened? It was a good day during my move here in Neo Domino City but suddenly it rained. What's up?" Ran's questions to Achilles were some easy questions that Achilles might answer. He waits for Achilles to answer.

Miku looked at the boy in front of her. He was approaching twice her age, and was backed up by his friends, and yet they were cowering in fear. The huge bird-like machine behind her probably had something to do with it. Oh, and the fact that she'd stolen his Gaia Knight and was about to win with a boosted monster.

"Hehe...I think you'd be a lot nicer without that right arm," she giggled.

"Is this because I hit that kid?" the older boy asked, gulping, "because I'll stop."

"No...I just think you'd look nicer that way. Machine Emperor Skiel Infinity, attack him directly."

The bird-like contraption raised a cannon, and blasted at the boy, aiming for his right side. He screamed and dropped to the floor. His arm would be saved - one of his friends had the good sense to get him straight to the nearest hospital - but it would take a while for it to recover, and it hurt a lot.

"Tehehe," Miku giggled again, "bye bye now," she added, waving at the boy's friends, before she vanished into the trees behind her.

-------

Eirian Maddox looked over the paperwork on the desk in front of her. Three items formed a triangle in the centre. One was Yusei Fudo's message about the 'Machine Emperors'. The second was about a team in the first WRGP, named 'Team New Word', who'd used cards with the same name. The third was a summary of some reports of people being in duels with real damage. Some of the monsters they described seemed to resemble Team New World's monsters. She dropped two photographs and a note card in the middle. One photo was Team 5D's celebrating their victory - only Antinomy, who was on the team that had won the latest tournament, was in it with them. The second was a competitor from the WRGP - who was a dead ringer for Antinomy's team mate, Aporia. The card had a few reports on it, of events where a person sharing the name and apparent physical description of the third member of the winning team, from even further in the past, before turbo duels had even begun.

She turned to her computer, and pulled out a number, which she then entered into a phone program. Supposedly, this number would connect her directly to Antinomy, although she doubted it. Still, it would probably be easier than wondering the streets until she found him or something.

Jason sped forward as fast as he could. He wanted to test how fast he could go. Speed was everything when it came to turbo dueling, especially the way he turbo dueled. Almost all of his boss monsters were super powerful Synchro Evolutions. They worked the best. He gazed down to his arm as he saw the mark of the crimson dragon, he had the front claw. It had appeared on the day he first mastered clear mind, that was when it choose him, that was when he gained power. It almost allowed him to do it

Felix was resting behind one of the trees and spoke after he saw Miku. He had been watching her duel, and how she showed these kids the power of Machine Emperor Skiel Infinity.

"I see you've captured another Synchro..."

He seemed to gleam evilly under the tree's shade. The aura that came off around him seemed dark and heavy, and in some ways toxic to anything that was human related. He was holding three Synchro Monsters in his left hand: "Colossal Fighter", "Goyo Guardian", and "Trident Dragon". All three has some blood in them which seemed fresh as it had yet to coagulate. He glanced back at Miku.

"Are you going to dispose of your 'prices' soon, Miku?"

Miku glanced up, her visible eye looking Felix in the face, undisturbed by the aura coming off from him. She then glanced back at the card she was holding, as if she'd only just noticed that she had it.

"Hmmm..." she muttered. "I think I'll find a couple more first," she replied, stuffing the card away somewhere, "there's a girl that comes around sometimes with some spellcaster Synchro, and I want to see what she looks like bald~," she continued, in an ironically sweet, almost sing-song tone. "So what do you want then?" She asked, her gaze returning to Felix, a smile on her face that would be sweet if not for the strange malice that it seemed to hold - and the fact that it was on a face partially formed from metal.

"I don't want anything except these accursed synchros gone from the face of this earth. These creatures are a nuisance to our plans and must be dealt with accordingly." He brushed his oily hair back and began to walk. "But that's another matter. The real reason I'm here is for information. I'm sure you are aware that the Police Headquarters have been trying to keep tabs on us. We must deal with them accordingly if we want to move more freely about the city." He placed the Synchro Monsters back in his pocket. "Would you like to join me in erasing some 'public' information?"

"See, you do want something~. You want to erase this information with me~. That means you like me~" Miku replied with a somewhat musical tint to her voice, as she briefly flung her arms around Felix's waist. "OK then, I'll go do that with you. Making all their information go bye-bye sounds like fun, and if it means I get to move somewhere else and find new people that's even better. I wonder if the people in the other place will be different.

"Anyway," she continued, suddenly falling into a less excitable attitude, "what are we erasing. Just what they picked up on us, or is there something else that you think they shouldn't know.

"The main objective is to erase any information pertaining to us..." Felix stopped and closed his eyes for a brief moment before opening them up again. "...and our second and somehow less important objective is to find out about these signers. From the little information I've gathered, it seems they posses note worthy Synchros, and powerful abilities that could match our own. Though that is highly unlikely, we should still see if they have any info on them." He closed his left eye alone this time and his right eye began go show a red glow between his iris and pupil. "The closest headquarters isn't very far from here. We're going to have to show our faces for a brief moment, but when we're done no one should know who we are." Felix's eye glow slightly brighter and then returned to normal. His duel runner made it's way through the cover of trees and he mounted it. "Let's go." Without hesitation the duel runner made it's way through the two buildings, heading towards the Police Station.

Neo Domino has seen many strange things happen to it, but in a quiet area filled with warehouses and vagrants, a wind suddenly picked up, though none was blowing initially. The wind headed down the rows and columns until it focused on one point, which started crackling with electricity, sending lightning bolts out at various places, until a swirling vortex made from all of the colors man has ever envisioned, and then some, appeared a couple of feet above the ground, allowing for a strange vehicle to emerge. This craft was about the size of a tractor-trailer, but looked more like a floating locomotive made from chrome with a jet engine in the central cylinder and the back of a jumbo jet for a cab. The craft, which was hovering thanks to jets on the bottom, slowed down, stopping several hundred feet from the closing portal, and the back opened up to allow several figures to emerge. One was a young man with jet-black hair and a black outfit who had a sword on his back, while another was a young woman with hair that was mostly red, but was also all sorts of other colors dressed in cute but somewhat eccentric clothing. The third to emerge from the craft was a blue-haired man who looked eerily similar to Antimony, only he had much longer hair and a orange and gold outfit with a green visor, while a fourth appeared to be a muscular soldier with body armor who had a piece of straw in between his teeth. Two more people, a punkish girl of about 15 with red and black hair and a matching outfit and a woman who looked like she had been mixed with a squid and was constantly changing colors, followed, before the last occupant slowly walked out.
"You sure you're gonna be alright, here?" The young man in black asked the seventh. "This is a place of speed, which you are definitely not."
"I mean...we don't want you to get hurt..." His companion, the mostly red-headed young woman added, acting a bit shy.
"Catherine, the Professor knows what he is doing..." The Antimony-like man replied calmly before adding. "At least, I assume he does."
"It still feels weird we're just dropping him off like this." The cyberpunk girl chirped. "It kinda feels...wrong..."
"Lil' missy..." The soldier told the girl with a southern accent. "Sometimes, folks just gotta do things, an' our Professor has ta' do this."
"Furthermore..." The squid-woman, who spoke in a musical, unearthly voice. "To him, it will only be a few of this world's rotational cycles, but to us, only moments will have passed."
The old man had finally passed by his companions and turned to face them, a faint smile on his wrinkled face as his ancient eyes prepared to shed tears. "My friends, I thank you for caring so much for me, but I assure you that no harm will come to me on this journey I am about to embark upon. Soon, we will reunite once more and continue down the road fate wishes us to take." He slowly raised his arm and waved at them. "I will see you all again soon."
The remaining six waved goodbye and entered their craft, closing it up behind them as they started the machine up before speeding off towards the water's edge. However, before they hit the water, another portal opened, and the sleek vehicle flew through before it sealed up behind them.
The eldest of the seven, who happened to have an appearance similar to one of this time period's heroes, fished around in his robes before finding an old device made from several others that he then pressed. A light on the device started blinking, indicating that it was sending out the distress signal of a crashed Duel Runner, specifically that of a young man named Paradox. Hopefully, this would attract this universe's Paradox's attention, or the attention of his compatriots. The Professor placed the now-active device back in his robes and slowly proceeded towards the city proper.

Miku followed Felix to his runner, and paused whilst he started it up. She then set off after him - apparently without moving her feet. The wheels in her soles were turning, carrying the small girl along at duel runner speeds, allowing her to keep up with her ally as he made his way to the police station, frills and ribbons flapping in the wind and her hair trailing backwards like streamers.

Eirian cut off the connection. Clearly Antinomy wasn't in, or it wasn't a real number. She sighed and picked up various papers and photos, put them in a back, and left the office. The phone was a failure, but she still had an address she could try. She headed out of the building she worked in, and across the street to the nearest parking area, where she had a space for her runner. Unlike the professional duelists, hers was a pretty standard model, and very much out of date, but it still ran well enough. She took out her deck and placed it in the runner, and then opened a storage compartment and took out a helmet, dropping her bag in it's place before mounting the runner and powering it up. She rolled the runner slowly out of the parking slot, and then opened up, accelerating down the street and making her way towards what a reporter had told her was the 'base' of the WRGP winners.

Felix rode fast, and it wasn't that long before Police Headquarters noticed him and his companion. They had dispatched a couple of officers to stop them, not aware of who they were to deal with. Felix's inner scanners took notice of the two officers that were approaching them.

"It seems we're going to have some company, Miku." Felix sped up, coming into visual contact with the Headquarters. The officers caught up with the both of them at the same time.

"Hey! You...two..." The officer caught notice of Miku and how she was moving at the duel runner's speed without much motion in her part. Felix turned around and showed them a glowing red border on his eye that immediately noted him as something other than human. "What are you...?"

"Snap out of it man! These guy's...are the one's we've been tracking for a few weeks now."

The officer snapped out of it and glanced back at Felix and Miku. "A man with a red glow in his eyes, slightly pale and oily black hair, and a little girl with a creepy look to her stature...!!" The Angel of Death...and the girl that's been attacking the children of the city...

"It seems they finally realized who we are. No matter." Felix sped up even more to widen the distance between him and the officers.

"Oh no you don't!" The officer turned on a switch and soon Felix and Miku were caught in a speed duel. "I won't let you get away!"

"You really are persistent aren't you...Well, if you insist, I'll be glad to kill you."

As Antinomy was riding he noticed a distress signal coming from Paradox's duel runner so he immediately got the coordinates and headed over their. As Aporia had just finished working on his engine he heard the distress beacon and mounted his duel runner also heading for the same location. Paradox was confused that the distress beacon from one of his team mates had gone off, mostly because it was his own, he became worried that someone was trying to trap his team mates with the fake beacon and headed out for it himself. About a half mile from the beacon the three of them met up and discussed what they should do finally decided to check out what was going on even if it was just a trap, eventually they found an old man that looked like he might be a relative of paradox and found that the signal was coming from and they stopped to see what was going on, Who are you and why are you letting out my duel runners distress signal?!?!

The old man took out the device, positioned his cane over the little machine, and promptly smashed it with the metallic cane. "Ah, you are just as I remembered you being: completely ignorant and disrespectful of your elders." He looked up at the trio. "Now, I will answer your questions in reverse order. I broadcast that signal, which, coincidentally, used to belong to my Duel Runner before it was destroyed, to bring you and the other Signers to this location. And I am you, Paradox, only about 150 years older, give or take a few years." He held up his ancient arm to show them the same wing mark Paradox has on his arm. "Now, I am from a far future. Note that I said A future, not THE future. This is because I am simply one outcome of a long series of choices and decisions. However, I am part of a dying breed. In fact, WE are part of a dying breed."
He fiddled with his cane until they were all engulfed in a sphere of darkness illuminated by a glowing white tree with various golden figures dancing across the thin branches. However, while some branches were very bright, others were dimmer, until they could barely be seen. "This, boys, is the multiverse, or at least our local part of it. Each one of these lines is a timeline, and where a timeline splits off from the others is a point of divergence. The brighter the branch, the more important it is." He zoomed in on one set of branches. "Now, this is our main branch timeline, Timeline...250165-Ma14-2158CE-1957-0373, if I'm reading this little box correctly. I know it's a mouthful, but we'll just call it 250165-Secondary, since it's the main timeline of our branch, but it's a secondary timeline from the primary, the core timeline of this multiverse. The rest of the label is the date and time of divergence from the primary, but I'm getting ahead of myself. You boys with me so far?"

Aporia understood things best and Antinomy could keep up with the important things but Paradox was pretty lost a big chunk likely do to the fact that he is apparently seeing someone who is claiming to be a future version of himself. So wait if your from the future then couldn't coming back here and telling us this change it like what happened with Yusei and Zone, Antinomy thought about that again no matter where he looked he couldn't find anyone with even a variation of that name. Paradox just stressed out over the fact that he had no real clue about what was going on and Aporia was to busy analyzing it to say anything.

Achilles tried again, calling Paradox this time. He still couldn't get his head around the mysterious stranger, appearing from a portal. It just made no sense. Then again, not much did. The weather was still foul and he was getting soaked riding on his runner.
"C'mon Paradox, pick up the phone already. I need to talk to you. You tend to be good with these sorts of things! Sudden storms, strangers appearing from portals, everything strange and wonderful. Just pick up the phone!"
Achilles drove under a shelter and waited with his phone by his ear, the little beeps coming from the phone beginning to irritate him. He was about to cancel the call but didn't, deciding he had nothing else to do at that moment.

The old man was about to reply, but the phone built into Paradox's Duel Runner started ringing. He went over to the Duel Runner, answered the phone, then immediately hung up on the interloper. "Now where was I?...Oh, yes! Your question. Yes, we are in a divergent timeline to my own interference, but this timeline has already diverged. This timeline used to be close to 210615-Primary, the original, core timeline, until 3 days ago!" He pointed at the name of the timeline. "Today is May 17th, 2158! A few days ago, this timeline we are currently in diverged from our previous course along , due to an event of catastrophic proportions!" He then showed scenes of devastation and destruction due to strange floating machines. "Gentlemen, these are your enemies. They are called by many names. 'Machine Emperors'. 'Meklords'. 'Synchro Destroyers'. 'Ener-D Eaters'. 'Killbots'. 'The Enemy'. Whatever your world calls them, you must fight them."

Eirian, by chance, had taken a shortcut which took her near some abandoned warehouses. As she approached, however, she found something more interesting. A sphere of darkness, which seemed to be lit by something within it. Shapes were moving around inside, or so she thought. She pulled up outside and took her bag and deck out, approaching it. Part of her brain, the one that kept her alive, was telling her she was an idiot for even stopping, but the part that allowed her to enjoy it told the first part to go and count her heartbeats or something. She moved and touched the sphere. It didn't explode or suck her in, but seemed to be merely a projection. She straightened up and walked into it...

...only to find the turbo duelists she had been looking for were inside. "Err...Hi," she said brightly.

--------------------

"Yay! The people want to play with us!" Miku cried out, spinning round to face the pursuing officers. Several ribbons began to fly out in front of her, apparently due to the breeze, but they then knitted themselves into a grid, energy forming a plate between them as Miku generated a duel disk on her arm. As soon as the group had reached the dueling lane, she drew five cards, and then one more.

"My friend can't come out and see you yet," she continued, pouting, "so I'll just stick these cards down and let you bring your friends out." She placed three cards down (Negate Attack, Regaki Break, Sky C3), their images briefly flashing on the road.

"You may look like a child," one of the officers, but you still have to be stopped. I summon Gate Blocker!" A large rock emerged on the field, sitting ahead of Miku - although she had her back to it, as she was still facing the wrong way. "Now your speed counters won't rise, and this duel is in the bag. I'll end my turn with a facedown."

The old man nodded to the woman who just arrived. "Good morning, Doctor Maddox." He then continued the lecture, many red areas, some large, some small, appearing on various timelines, including the central one. "Now, our multiverse is afflicted with what has been called a 'chronophage', an infection across time and space seeking to disrupt the normal flow of the infected universes and bend them towards a currently unknown point of divergence. And this is no the first time our universe has been afflicted with a chronophage." He motioned to Paradox. "An alternate version of ourselves became a chronophage and instigated an interuniversal war, the scars of which can be seen, if you know where to look. However, this chronophage, the Meklords, are spreading rapidly, and have now caused our timeline to diverge from the primary, corrupting the primary's future and resulting in the extinction of humanity in that timeline."
He changed the archival footage of the Meklords back to the glowing tree of timelines, and zoomed in on the thick central timeline, revealing that it was actually made up of a large, bright line and many smaller lines surrounding it, all heading towards the same place. "Now, a bit of terminology. On this depiction of the multiverse, the lines are alternate timelines, or alternate realities, or alternate universes, whichever you prefer. But there is a special subset called 'parallel timelines', or parallel realities, or parallel universes. These are the closest to the original timeline, usually only experiencing a few changes. For instance, Aporia, in the main timeline, you were born 10 years early, thanks to a chance encounter your parents had in this timeline that, in the primary timeline, resulted in them not meeting until a few years later. And neither of you three were Signers in the primary timeline, though your destinies were equally important. Now, here comes the crucial part: how we can repair the primary timeline and become a parallel timeline again. Any questions before we go on?"

"I have one," Eirian spoke up, "well, three, actually. First, how do you know who I am? Second, does this whole 'chronophage' business have anything to do with these three-" she gestured to the signers "-showing up in the past? And thirdly,-" at this point her voice suddenly took on a far more incredulous tone, as she moved a finger between the old man and Paradox"- are you two related?" Actually, she had more questions, but figured that these were the more important ones, or rather the second one was. The first was significant to her personally, and the third would just bug her until she asked anyway, so best to get it out of the way early.

"My move, draw." Felix analyzed his hand carefully and then turned to face the other two duelists. One of these guy's seems...familiar. He brushed that thought aside and began to make his move.

"I summon Ignel Core! Next I set two cards face down and end my turn."

The other officer glanced at Ignel Core with both anger and fear. "So...you are him! Good thing I brought my great grandfather's deck! Draw!" The officer glanced at his hand and then began his major move.

"Because I control no cards on my side of the field, I can Special Summon Black Feather - Gust the Adverse Wind! Next, because I control a face-up Black Feather monster, I can Special Summon both Black Feather - Blast of Black Lance and Black Feather - Gale of the Hurricane! Now that I have three Black Feather monsters on my side of the field, I can activate Delta Crow - Anti Reverse! Now I destroy all your face-down Spell and Traps!"

"Not so fast, I activate the trap card, A Declaration of War! I can activate this card when my opponent activates a card effect that would affect Spell or Trap Cards and switches the effect to monsters instead (or vice versa)!” Ignel Core was detonated and from it, a mechanical like flame appeared.

“Now, time for you two officers to see some fear. With Ignel Core destroyed, I get to Special Summon from my deck Machine Emperor Ignel Infinity!” A strange red centerpiece that resembled a curled up chimera with no head and a burning tail with the infinity mark on its center. (0/0)

“Ignel Top!” A Fox-shaped mechanical figure appeared. (800/400)
“Ignel Attack!” A Phoenix-shaped mechanical figure took flight. (1000/300)
“Ignel Guard!” An Eagle-shaped mechanical figure took flight next to it’s Phoenix counterpart. (300/1000)
“Ignel Carrier!” A Wolf-Shaped mechanical figure began running next to it’s Fox counterpart. (900/800) All the Machine Emperor pieces, red in their color, began to reform into an even larger mechanical structure. The wings of the Phoenix shifted towards it’s head and it’s legs reformed into the shoulder connection, making the Phoenix machine look like a double blade with a blaster in between, connecting itself as the right arm. The Eagle shaped mechanical began to reform itself. The wings shifted inwards and into a shield like shaped before releasing the energy portion of it. The beams of the shield were also colored red. It’s legs reformed themselves into the left shoulder connection, and soon it became the left arm of the machine. The Wolf carrier then transformed, its hind and front legs coming together and reforming themselves into a pair a mechanical legs that seemed to resemble those of Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity, except thinner at the thighs. Last, but not least, the Fox piece reformed it’s small frame, pulling it’s front legs together to form the neck connection and it’s hind legs folded themselves where the ears should have been. As it opened it’s eye, the figure fell into place and the resemblance of the head ever being a fox-shaped structure vanished. It gave out a loud roar as the Machine Emperor’s ATK and DEF then displayed (3000/2500).

The officer looked at the Machine Emperor and saw that it was something very fearful. He remembered that these Emperors had the power to take control of a Synchros. “Grr…I’ll end with two face-downs…”

“Not so fast. During your Main Phase 2, I activate Ignel Top’s effect. Ignel Top forces your monsters to Synchro Summon a monster if you have the Synchro Material required to summon a Synchro Summon or take 1000 damage.”

“What?!” The officer was stuck. If he took a lot of damage, he would surely get killed. He glanced at his partner and he nodded that it was okay. “Alright, I tune Black Feather - Blast of Black Lance and Black Feather - Gale of the Hurricane! Synchro Summon! Take flight! Black Feather - Armored Wing! Now, I end my turn.”

"Oh, you're NOT tuning for that Black Feather Synchro. You're tunning for this monster: Scrap Archfiend. You see, I get to decide what monster you Summon. And these Synchro Monsters will be your downfall." Scrap Archfiend entered the field giving out a large roar, but apart from that it just stood there.

"This will not end lightly for you two."

The old man turned to Eirian. "I know your name because of reasons I cannot tell you, otherwise it would jeopardize the entire reason I am here. The Meklord chronophage is directly related to Antimony, Paradox, Aporia and the individual who will later be called 'ZONE' appearing in the past, mainly in 2032 and 2033. And yes, we are related. I am a potential future version of him. Now, to elaborate, how we will solve the Meklord chronophage infecting both the Primary timeline and our own has to do with the alternate versions of you three appearing in our past." He fiddled with his cane to change the display so it was showing the primary timeline, extending from 2001 to 2317, and their own timeline, which diverged at 2158 for a short bit. "Ready for me to continue?"

"My turn," Miku smiled, drawing a card. Her grin seemed to get wider. "Yay, I got it," she yelled, placing a card down. What seemed to be an egg-like device appeared on it. "I summon Sky Core, and then I activate my Raigeki Break to destroy it." She slipped a card into her graveyard and one of the face-down cards rose up to smash the "egg" apart. "And when Sky Core is destroyed, I can summon Machine Emperor Skiel Infinity (0/0), Skiel Top (600/0), Skiel Attack (1000/0), Skiel Guard (200/300) and Skiel Carrier (400/0)." The five monsters which emerged seemed to have avian features - wings, beaks and the like - but soon combined together to form a single, much larger monster. One section formed the body of the machine, whilst another attached to it to form large wings. Another piece, which seemed to resemble an avian beak, bolted to the front, whilst the remaining sections attached behind to form a tail. The complete machine emperor rose up, the only space for it above it's fellow emperor (2200/300).

Almost immediately, another face-down card activated. "Now I can use Sky C3 to get rid of Skiel Carrier, and replace it with Skiel Carrier 3." The wings vanished as a more solid-looking set emerged to replace them (600/200) (2400/500). "That wall thing looks ugly," Miku declared as she motioned to the Gate Blocker, "Skiel, please blow it up for me." The bird-like machine responded by firing a laser down at the defending monster. As powerful in defence as it was, it was no match for the Machine Emperor, and it was smashed into shards.

"I activate Broken Blocker," called the officer, "meaning I can replace one Gate Blocker with two." Two more slabs emerged to replace the one.

"Aww, you just made more of them. Now Skiel will be sad," Miku pouted. Skiel itself remained motionless above Ignel. "I end my turn then."

"OK, my move," that officer declared, "and I summon Torapart." The officer was nervous about using a Synchro Monster, but he figured it was the best option they had at this point. "I tune the level 2 Torapart with the level 4 Gate Blocker to Synchro Summon Goyo Guardian." The two monsters were reduced to six points of light, which expanded to create an area of blinding light, out of which emerged what appeared to be a traditional Japanese warrior (2800/2000). "Now I activate the Speed Spell Speed Energy, and since unlike you I have 5 speed counters, Goyo Guardian now gains 1000 attack points (3800). Now, Goyo Guardian, attack Ignel." The officer knew this was their best chance - without that one, his partner's monsters would avoid absorption and be able to take out the smaller Machine Emperor in the next turn.

"Hey!" Miku yelled, "You're supposed to be playing with me! Just for that I activate Skiel Carrier 3's effect, which negates one attack per turn." The machine beat it's wings, causing a gust of wind which forced the warrior back, preventing it's attack.

The officer gulped, because he knew they were in trouble. He placed a card face-down. "Turn End." (Goyo Guardian ATK 2800)

Eirian nodded. So far she found that a lot of what he said was somewhat understandable, and suspected if she'd heard everything from the top it might be more so. That this future Paradox knew her was a bit disturbing, but if he was from the future, then wasn't she standing in the same place as the present Paradox right now?

Lucas sped up extremely fast and headed towards the dock. He felt his mark was drawing him there. He raced there as fast as he could while clearing his mind at the same time it made him go much faster. Once he got there he saw all the signers standing there. Lucas entered a Warehouse, there is a darkened sphere inside, has everyone standing in front of a floating tree of white light while an older version of Paradox is talking. Wow whats happening now, because it doesn't look good he thought as he walked to them
