Secret Society of Drill Hair Fetishes

While we're at it let's watch Butt Attack Punisher Girl or Mermaid Whatever.

I'm pretty sure School Days is some shitty harem anime in which this random douche screws a bunch of girls for literally and metaphorically and then the ending is incredibly fucked up but I won't bother to explain exactly how right in case you really want to watch it.

OMIGOD CAN WE

You're pretty much on the mark, the only reason I'd feel like watching it at some point is to earn the "Nice Boat" badge on Anime Planet. If any of you are feeling masochistic though, hit me up...we'll suffer together o3o

Attack on Titan was amazing, looks great too. Haven't seen lines that bold since Hellsing.

And Gargantia just looks really nice in general, plus having Gen Urobuchi behind it is reassuring.

Death Billiards was pretty good, I hate when endings are left wide open for interpretation like that though.

It doesn't just look nice, it really makes itself feel nice. I'd hate if any of the important characters had anything horrible happened to them, but it wouldn't be surprising.

Was pretty much my opinion of Death Billiards though. As for Arve Rezzle (the next one that got subbed), it had some good action but imo had to be the worst of the 4 so far.

Eh, I'm in. I was getting tired of enjoying life anyway.

I'm looking forward to what's going to be coming up. Already things are pretty interesting and we're talking about Gen here.

I feel like that kid in the bed is going top end up dying but that just seems too obvious.

I heard good action so i'm in.

Don't wanna kill this. =o

So besides the 3 that I said I would watch in the Spring thread, I am watching The Devil is a Part timer! The only 1 of the 4 that seems to be mainly about comedy, and while I do actually enjoy it quite a bit, especially compared to the other "Demon lord and Hero" stuff, it's my least favorite that I have the time to watch of spring.

For the heck of it, individual spring season impressions.

No spoilery content either in case there was concern.
Awesome show. Everyone's watching it, and for good reason. Looks gorgeous, feels gorgeous, and is one of the few animes in existence where I have felt a little taken aback.

THIS GAVE ME CHILLS.

THAT'S PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE.

And manga readers are vouching it only gets better from here.

Definite best of the season.

This anime also looks gorgeous, though the quality's been kind of inconsistent. I feel like it's fallen prey to otaku pandering what with that last beach filler episode. And what astounds me is how shallow Amy's friends are. It isn't even that they don't get screentime, that's just how they are.

But I'm still betting the show can get into the swing of things despite the massive outcries that it won't.

This show's just funny and it works well with its interesting concept. Definitely pick this up if you're in the mood for a comedy. Not much else to say aside from that.

This show's lead is great what with his snarky, cynical banter and amusing inner monologues. And the show overall is just well written. Dialogue, character interactions, it's all very engaging and overall it feels genuine. Probably my 2nd favorite show of the season.

Meh.

Meh everywhere.

Apparently it's wasted potential according to people who've played the game. This show has way too much content for a 13-episode timeslot and all the cool characters like the computer lady and the leading boss got the shaft when it comes to characterization.

I'm just watching it for the flashy battles, but I wouldn't recommend this for anybody. All the anime is is an advertisement for the game.
I can't exactly blame it when not only does it seem clear most anime are like that, Urobuchi's greatest success (or seems like it) was made for an adult male audience, compared to the main demographic magical girl series tend to be. I suppose the show's content didn't really have too much pandering, but as far as Gargantia, I would be lying if I said I wasn't expecting it. Especially with the world they live in. Though this entire well, section of a post is pretty invalid since I've already said I do enjoy fanservice.

But let's see... if I ever do get around to more of the spring season, Yahari whatever and the rest of the sequels I've enjoyed the previous seasons of are really the top picks for me, and I may as well give my other impressions.
I really did expect a slice of life, may be weird for saying this, but I was a little taken aback by the first half of episode 1, but honestly, it all makes sense. The mech had to come from somewhere. Also, Amy is the perfect girl of the show. Character development wise (though I realise she's the main herione, basically), and attractiveness as well. The others just go from one extreme to the other, but my love for twintails and preference for flat chests when compared to relatively impossibly large ones allows a certain other girl to win me over, despite the fact that she is one of the shallow friends.

This really tends to screw over people who both enjoy greater detail and would like as little fanservice as possible, from my perspective. The manga is where it's at for me, with the detail needed for certain things, and the fanservice, which the anime has actually zero of. The Gatoya arc was decent though, so no real need for anime watchers to read volume 2, but anybody who prefers details to what they saw in the anime would probably be better off reading volume 1. Wow, this just turned into an anime/manga comparision since I am reading the manga. The anime... still has the enjoyment, as an average shounen, at least for me.

Really starting to actually get towards the time Index takes place in. It'll be "S" for "Sister" and could probably use a tiny bit of Index's character development that the first season didn't need because it was mostly before Index. What does this season have to offer so far, though? A very generic first episode (which I enjoyed the most out of anything this season and last), a pretty laid back portion so far, and clues as to how it's coming all together with Index CAN'T WAIT FOR ACCELERATOR  (even if he may or may not be that imporant to this season, just glad he'll also be appearing in Railgun).
So no real spoilers either, but I'm definitely more dumbed down than you for this, especially that last part.

Oh, he'll definitely be important. About just as much as in the Sisters arc in Index, because that's pretty much what he does in Railgun.

Also,

I TOLD YOU!

Ahem. Sorry.

if anyone else here thinks Nags shouldn't wait for Attack on Titan to end, speak now.

I mean, don't you think it's satisfying to watch an anime all the way to the end without marathoning it? Especially one that's awesome?

But gee, I guess that's for him to decide.

I prefer while airing, yes, but it's been a year or so since I've tried to get a decent amount of finished anime watched, and I've only got 7 more episodes of Phi Brain until season 3 airs...

When you put it that way, I may just rather watch it while it's airing, so maybe I'll be getting to that real soon... (AKA tomorrow)

I don't find any of Eren's actions unjustified, I've heard a lot of people hate him, but I haven't actually seen anyone doing so.

Just started watching Attack on Titan. Half way through episode 1 and already I'm in love with it. Reminds me of Gurren Lagann in that the level of detail and the emotions that it evokes almost make you forget that none of it is real.

Gurren Lagann feels way more like that than this though (
I should have felt more for the side characters, if that's really how it's supposed to feel
), and that's not even one of my favorites. Still, I must give credit where credit is due.

I just got really lucky by deciding to watch this now though. I'd really rather wait a week in suspense (or well, less than that this one time) to know what happens next than not for a cliffhanger like episode 5's.

Anything you'd like mention?: Meh, I'll take recommendations for anime, but I'm not going to necessarily watch it right away. Also, I have good taste I guess, and I've never really seen anime I disliked, so my favorite anime/characters are just one out of hundreds. I haven't watched too many anime, so you can recommend really YCM-liked ones, and I probably wouldn't have watched them.

I've learned from Agro that I can't accept you. Desu doesn't do that for people he finds annoying and such.

Sorry.

If he is okay with it fine, but I find that highly unlikely impossible.

EDIT: Oh wait, he already sent me a message saying you're not accepted. See ya.

So, Steins;Gate. I'm definitely glad Robotics;Notes doesn't have a delusional/Chuunibyo main like with Chaos;Head, and then with Steins;Gate, I know I heard the main get called Chuuni. 3 Episodes so far, and in that amount of time, I've probably never felt more indifferent to a Tsundere yet. But Chaos;Head, for me, changed for the worst at about the last quarter, so from what I've heard, this will probably change for the better quickly, and it's already really solid. I say that thing about Chuunibyo, but him and that pink haired girl are awesome, I'd just get tired of it if all three mains were that kind of similar.

Oh yeah, and nice, Kanako Itou singing a theme for all of them. I probably just need to get used to them, but I like the OPs and EDs of Chaos;Head and Robotics;Notes a lot more than Steins;Gates atm.

Awesomecool

Alot of good stuff happening for anime right now. Attack on Titan dropped recently, The World God Only Knows has been greenlighted for a third season, Sword Art Online looks like it's going extremely well.

So...*thread defibrilator charging* anyone else as hyped for TWGOK Season 3 as i am?

I am quite hyped for it, too. I loved the first two seasons.

It looks like there are a ton of sequels starting this Summer. Out of those I'm also planning to watch Tamayura and Genshiken. Though I've only watched the first season of Genshiken so far, I might just watch the second after I finish Steins;Gate (though I have to wait and see my my brother thinks of this but we've waited long enough I think, since the second season was already out when we watched the first).

I am definitely picking Toriko up around the same time i pick up Genshiken. I usually like to wait until the whole season is out before I watch it because I can't stand the anticipation between episodes! It's worse than waiting for cup ramen to be ready.

Also dood, Naruto, FINALLY looks like it's gonna be over.

Must be why I don't like most of them.

Ok.

gdi why no new info on Kagepro... so it's been about 9 months since the anime has been announced...  it's amazing...

If you make sure most of you're posts aren't extremely short, I think.

I know it's a pain so Desu doesn't usually edit the member list and sometimes he takes them out but as far as I remember, you're okay for now.

Desu would PM me if this isn't right and you're not actually a member.

Also, just like what was talked about a few posts ago, Pastry + I will start Genshiken season 2 today. I think we can find the OVA now so I guess that'll be today instead though. Since it's 3 episodes.

Also also, it's June soon. If we're still doing the club anime watching thing, it would probably be best to get a few member's choices before July or August or whenever we would start. If we're still doing it.

So, it would be anime with less than 30 episodes, probably, so that if any member has to/prefers it they can still just watch 1 episode a day and have it finished before the end of the month. I'm planning to watch more than 1 episode most days, since I know everybody else probably will too. I'm gonna chose Daily Lives of High School Boys so I actually have a concrete choice now.

I meant something pretty much none of us watched, so that it can be a kind of club thing.

If there is another one with around that number of episodes you're interested in, it would be cool to say it, so we'd have more possibilities for when we go to chose them at random for the club.

EDIT: Desu's pick is Tokyo Majin. Looking good. I'm pretty sure we'll get at least 3 choices but lets hope we'll get at least 4 watchers so that it can be pretty much the same as last year. Unless of course, we can start earlier and get at least 2 anime watched. Then it wouldn't be like last year.

Who that would see this thinks it would be a good idea to PM other members of the club just to see if they like the idea/think they have time during summer?
