[Single New Trap Card] Backtrack Attack

I made this card a long time ago and never really asked the community if it was good or not...
Is this card useful? is the ocg good? is it OP'd (hopefully not)?

Lore:
[b]Activate only if your opponent would inflict damage to your Life Points: Discard 1 card from your hand; redirect the damage to your opponent's Life Points.[/b]

Use it to save yourself and make your opponent regret attacking you with their monster/effect

thanks for pointing those cards out... i never really looked to see if there were any other cards like it <_<
i updated the effect to slightly differ from those cards and hopefully make this card balanced (since you cant just cancel attacks/effects left and right continuously)

speaking of which, should this be a [b]continuous [/b]trap?

Depends how the effect is worded. If you have to discard a card each time you would take damage, it might be OK (but just in case I'd add a time limit where it destroys itself after a few turns, to keep it balanced). Otherwise, I'm not sure.

... i'm guessing you're aware that if this card becomes a continuous it would lose its power as a Counter Trap... ... not sure how big of a loss that would be though... but it doesn't sound like too much of a loss... ... continuous?.. ... i dont know of a [u]Spell[/u] / [u]Trap[/u] card that can deflect attacks or pretty much guard your Life Points continuously for you even if it came with a cost... but it sure as heck sounds pretty OP...
... though... i kinda... sadly... do have to admit... or just agree with the other folks... ... that the creativity on the card is nothing new... ... but its alright you weren't aware of those other cards... ... ... i pictured something else when i saw the name "[b]Backtrack attack[/b]"...
