Barian Warlord Posted November 27, 2011 Report Share Posted November 27, 2011 Also looking over 27 effect when it is targeted by a card effect you remove 1 overlay unit [b]instead[/b] so I'm pretty sure the ruling for it would stop Bahamut's effect seeing as it must first target the monster you want to take and in this case it would fail, with Number 27's effect it doesn't look opptional. [/quote] That's what I thought, but Charlotte notified me that Bahamut's effect would still work, as Number 27's effect is not a shield, but a requirement - like Spirit Reaper, who is destroyed when targeted, 27 will simply detach an Xyz Material if targeted and everything else would continue as normal.
