noticed something weird going on at duelportal.us explain?

The site was taken down, as per the front page, so until the Unity version comes up you won't be able to use it. Obviously this also means domain resellers may attempt to take hold of it.

excited for that but will the bug existed in silverlight remains after migration?

the duelportal.us domain is no longer being used. If it's replaced by something else I have no control over it.

the big bugs that I remember are
-extra cards in hand.
-facedown cards in deck
-tokens with xyz materials making those materials disappear from existence if the token leaves the field (don't ask why this matters plz XD)
-deck count for opponent glitch being incorrect (applies to extra deck as well)
-being unable to see opponents plays unless they set and reflip their monsters (especially important with facedown s/t since the only way to fix the glitch also would reveal what you have set)
-frozen field (being unable to see any change to the field)
-spectator glitch (after spectating seeing only the last screen you looked at in someone elses game whilst simultaneously disconnecting your opponent if you try to duel)
-seeing phantom cards in your opponent's hand that if hovered over with your mouse pop an error message up for both players.
- some cards once put in deck causing DC every time you try to enter the duel problem is permenantly fixed by replacing the cards image
the community has found creative ways to fix these glitches by trial and error during their games for some but not all. the prime example is the deck count glitch which is fixed if both players draw at least 2 cards reveal them shuffle their hand and put their hand back to the deck then shuffling their deck before the duel (its become almost like the action field chant in Arc-V for us XD synchronized and signaling the start of a new duel) but that doesn't mean were happy to do it. a lot of bugs exist and I don't want to overwhelm you but I think a few of these need attention at least.

Using some old public cards will result in missing card in deck (from opponent point of view), which will cause the game to freeze / not responding. In short, it is a deck count glitch. It can be fixed by re-uploading those old bugged cards... but it is a lot of hassle.

As mentioned before, there is no definitive timeline for when DP Unity will be up. I don't know how much work sea needs to put into developing this, but also recall that he has a life outside YCM and Duel Portal. 

 

While we'd like to have a rough idea of such, there may exist factors that delay its release.

All of you need to be patient and wait. Programming a new version of Duel Portal (or any sort of coding in general) is NOT something that can be done in a short period of time, nor is it quick to do.

a side note sea a proxy community has sprung up in latin America numbering over 20 and they had an irl tourney recently according to my bilingual friend. if it continues to grow they may need an online way to play and I think they should have their own server for cartes en espanol. uk what I mean? anyways just a passing thought

If you guys want to help with the testing, PM sea (or if he already saw this message, you guys should already be receiving PMs).

 

I haven't been able to check too many functions on DP this week due to coursework / dual midterms and other stuff; when I get home, can probably do a bit more checking. That, and try out the new fixes for stuff people mentioned,
