Kuro no Tsurugi (Pitch-Black Sword)

Opening Theme -

Main Plot:

Once, very long ago, in a world that exists only in a fantasy or a dream, there was horrifically devastating war; the kind that only happens in ledgends. The world of Galileia (Gah-Lee-Lay-Uh) was peaceful at first, and the five major nations prospered and were at peace. They shared a peaceful Open Borders agreement with the others that was known as the Star Points Treaty. Each country freely traded with the others, as well as assisted them during depressions, and held many festivals with together, each in celebration of the favored peace. It was as if the gods themselves had run each country, and issued orders with a fair and mighty hand. This peace and the Star Point Treaty held firm for 2,000 years, and many people believed that it would last forever. It was only when the late king of Folkuliere (Foh-Koo-Leer) Ludwig Wilhelm the Storyteller had passed and gave the secret of the magic, known as Esper Weaving to his son Jacob shortly before his death. Many believed that things would not change, as it was customary not only for the knowledge of Esper Weaving to be passed from parent to child as every ruler died, but also because this knowledge had not left the royal families of any of the five nations since the great wizard Agrippa had passed it to them at the start of the nation’s growth; but they were sorely mistaken.

At the time when Esper Weaving were taught to the original rulers, Agrippa gave them one ultimatum. In exchange for teaching the rulers the sacred art of Esper Weaving, Agrippa made them promise that none but the ones who would follow in the lineage of each ruler was to know the power Espers contained. For Agrippa, being wisest of the humans in his time knew even then that if Esper Weaving were to be learned by the public, war would surely follow.

Jacob, having never followed his father Ludwigs ideals and always having been a selfish and greedy youth, instantly saw the potential that Esper Weaving posed. He had often watched his mother use Espers to help flowers grow in her garden, and had seen his father instantly ignite blocks of wood whilst the two were camping. He had also known the energy used for Esper Weaving could be stored in special crystals known as Nether Gems. Plans formed within the boys head. Visions of a greater, more powerful Folkuliere rising far above the other nations haunted him at all times of the day. Finally, after a year of his rule, he taught the secrets of Esper Weaving to his most trusted and intelligent men of court, ignoring the orders of his and his father’s wisest advisors, and ordered them to begin study on it immediately, as well as begin mining Nether Gems. Soon, Esper Weaving was taught to the military, then the castle staff, the the nobles, and finally, the public. It was this act of selfish thought, that sparked the Esperpower Industrial Revolution. It was found that Nether Gems could be used as batteries to power machinery. The visions Jacob had realized were becoming reality. Crop production tripled in a single year due to the machinery used to work the fields, technology advanced at an unbelievable pace, and the strength of Folkuliere’s army became unmatched due to its Thaumaturgy units. Yes, Esper Weaving had been learned by the public, but it was still difficult for many, if not most people, and so the Star Point Treaty held by a thread for another fifteen years, in which the rulers of Allegretto (Al-Leg-Rett-Oh), Arcadia (Arr-Kay-Dee-Uh), Nihonshin (Nee-Hone-Sheen), and Zodiacis (Zoh-Dee-Ahs-Ees) pleaded with Jacob to stop the use of Esper Weaving amongst the public, but their cries fell upon deaf ears, and Jacob would merely become irritated by their constant requests. Finally, he could restrain himself no longer.

In a vicious assault, Jacob marched his armies on the Kingdom of Allegretto, destroying the border city of Crescendo, and blasting down the Jazz Plains. The Star Point Treaty had not been broken, but shattered. Naturally, Allegretto had not been equipped to combat against Folkuliere and there Esper powered technology and soldiers. They were fighting a losing battle. Soon, the other nations were forced to take sides. Zodiacis, fearing the destructive power of Folkuliere, sided against Allegretto, where Nihonshin and Arcadia joined forces with Allegretto and attempted to halt Folkuliere. Still, Folkuliere had the advantage of soldiers and citizens who were learned in Esper Weaving, and by this time were called Esper Kin. It was becoming clearer and clearer that Folkuliere could not be simply overpowered, overwhelmed, or even out strategized. Therefore the rulers of Allegretto, Nihonshin, and Arcadia came together to make their final decisions regarding Folkuliere.

Within two years, the rulers of the three nations opposing Folkuliere had evened the battlefield against Folkuliere by starting their own Esperpower Industrial Revolution, and began producing Esper Kin soldiers and Esper powered weapons themselves. It was thought that this would bring Folkulieres downfall, but the war lasted longer than anyone had foreseen. Even the death of King Jacob, who was now called King Jacob the Mad, did not quell the conflict, and Agrippa’s deal was all but forgotten. His prediction however, had come true, but was far worse than even he said. The war lasted three hundread years, and eventually became known as the 300 Year Esper War. The war devastated all. The advancements made by the use of Nether Gem batteries and Esper Weaving were rendered useless, as near all supplies were being sent to the armies. To make matters worse, a plague had struck out, pehaps as a curse from the gods for fighting so viciously. Men and woman were still signing up for the armies, but simply because dying by the edge of a sword seemed friendlier than in bed from starvation or sickness. It was said that the war would wipe out humans altogether, no matter who won now, simply because of the lack of supplies. Then, as humanity began to lose all hope, he appeared.

Nobody knew who he was, where he came from, or even his name, but it was him who ended the fighting. He was dressed in a black warriors kimono, with the banner of each county at his back. His hair was blue, and his eyes were silver, and his face always wore a determined smile. However, thestrangest and most incredible feature about him was the pitch-black sword he’d held with him, made in the style of the katana’s of Nihonshin, giving the thoughts that he was a warrior from this country. Wherever he went, the fighting would soon be quelled. Eventually, he was simply called “The Warrior”. Finally, during the worst of the battles between the countries, on the border of Allegretto and Folkuliere, he arrived. Nobody ever knew why, but he was immensely gifted as an Esper Kin, but his true might resided in his sword, which carried the ability to pierce and manipulate Mana itself. In one, tremendous display of awesome power, the Warrior swung his sword, and to the sheer shock of the soldiers, and nigh every citizen of Galileia, cleaved the land at the border, creating a great chasm, and separated the warring countries. At the bottom, the Mana used to perform such a great feat had settled, giving the land around it great prosperity and the chasm a beautiful glow. Once the war had ended, everything else seemed to fix. Supplies were once again distributed fairly amongst the people, and a cure for the plague called Purple Virus was discovered. All these things, the Warrior had made possible, and he soon settled down with a wife in Fermata (Fur-Mah-Tah), Allegretto’s capital. However, even one as powerful as he was still a mere mortal.

On his deathbed, the Warrior spoke to the public, telling with the same smile he’d always worn, a simple issue regarding his Last Will.

“All my earthly possessions I leave to my loving family. All but my pitch-black sword. That, I have broken into two pieces, which are yours for the taking, assuming you are able to find them. For I have hidden them across the land of Galileia for any to find. And now, I bid you all a very fond farewell, for I must now depart to afterlife. I wish you all the best of luck.”

Since he spoke those words, 5,000 years ago, people from all over Galileia have begun hunting for the legendary pitch-black sword, for many reasons. Some hunt the blade for honor, while others desire only the power it holds, or the fortune it will bring. Still many believe that there never was a pitch-black sword to begin with, and this was the Warriors way of a final joke. Never the less, the world today is flooded with adventurers known as Black Hunters, who all seek the legendary pitch-black sword, however still no one has found it. Not even the most powerful Esper Kin have been able to locate the weapon. But perhaps, one day soon, a single lucky Black Hunter will find the sword, and whatever riches it may bring…

Sub Plot:

In the Kingdom of Allegretto, a strange occurrence has been happening. Following the death of it’s last king, King Heltzer Falsetto, a small group of rebels calling themselves Beethoven’s Final, has risen. Though nobody is sure why, the current King, Waltz Falsetto, has raised the taxes on all items. All except Nether Gem batteries, which he had recently empowered. Though this makes no business sense at all, due to the great demand for Nether Gem batteries, he even went as far as to lower the price. Though this would normally cause talk and gossip, all the speech has been silenced by the rebellion of Beethoven’s Final, who seek a change in ruler from the Falsetto Family. After all, who would care for a lowered price of an item when there’s a rebellion to speak of…

1. All YCM rules, including the Advanced Clause are in motion. (Honestly, you guys should already know that by now.)

2. My word, or the co-hosts word is final and absolute, but in the case of a disagreement or miscommunication, my word overrides the co-hosts. (I’ll be fair and lenient things though, so don’t worry too much.)

3. Try to be original with your characters. Yes, I know this is kind of unnecessary, but I like to see variety.

4. Read EVERY section before you post your character.
Espers work in strange ways. For starters, those who use Espers each have a certain affinity, and this affinity determines what Espers hurt them more, and what Espers hurt them less. Each affinity has a different weakness and advantage, depending on its placement on a chart called the Esper Wheel. Each affinity that an Esper Kin can use is one here, and by following it, Esper Kin are more or less powerful in battle. The arrangement is as followed.

Fire-Ice-Earth-Wind-Metal(lightning)-Water-Fire

The last two affinities, beat all except each other, but are very difficult to learn (Meaning I’m probably only allowing one of each). These are Sun(light) and Moon(darkness). Remember, Esper Kin may have two of any normal affinity, but can only have one if the affinity is Sun or Moon.

Please note that Healing is also an affinity, but is not listed on the Esper Wheel because it has not weakness or advantage.(If you want Espers or an affinity that isn’t listed, that’s fine, just see me about it first. These are just the main ones.)
As mentioned, Galileia consists of five countries, with Folkuliere and Zodiacis separated from Allegretto, Nihonshin, and Arcadia by the Great Mana Chasm. In order to insure that war does not break out again, the main cross ways between the countries separated by the Chasm are by gondola. Bridges do exist, by they’re so few that gondola make it quicker. Each country has their own heritage (basically a theme), and culture. Although they’re very large, each country has only three major cities.

Allegretto: North of Nihonshin and South of Arcadia. This is perhaps the only country with four major cities. Its Major cities are Fermata, the Capitol, Harmony, which lies far east of Fermata within the Melody desert, and Crescendo, which is now mostly a gondola city. Lastly, there’s Rhapsody, the city of Fallen Heroes. The Warrior, is buried and greatly honored in this great city. Travelers will find that Allegretto is a rather diverse nation with vast deserts and plains, as well high mountains and deep forests. There main source of income comes from the iron and Nether Gems mined at Black Metal Mountain, so named for the vast amounts of black iron in its mines. Though iron is the main income, alchemists and apothecaries find the copious herbs found in Serenade Forest to be a major enjoyment. To the south-east lies Melody Desert; this is overall avoided by all except Black Hunters and bandits who prey on the small Villages within the desert. To the north-west is Jazz Plains; home to herds of deer and other animals, some very strange indeed. (In case you didn’t catch on, the ‘culture’ for Allegretto is music. Villages, smaller landmarks, people, and other area’s found in Allegretto are to be named accordingly. People I’ll be lenient towards, since naming characters after Music as slightly difficult, but most if not all generic characters out to have musical/instrumental names)

Nihonshin: South of Allegretto. The major cities are Takamagahara (Tah-Kah-Mah-Gah-Hah-Ruh), the capitol on the Honshao (Hone-Shuh-Oh) Shores where the great Himeji Castle lies, under the rule of Shogunate (Sho-Goo-Nah-The) Izanagi (Ee-Zah-Nah-Gee) and his wife Izanami (Ee-Zah-Nah-Mee). Due to the large amount of fish, the city of Taihou (Tie-Hoe) was built by Lake Taihou. Finally, we have Mizuchiha (Mee-Zoo-Chee-Hah), which is in the dead center of the beautiful Sakura Forest. The rest of the country is simply the Taihou and Kanade (Kah-Nah-Deh) rivers, stretching in opposite directions, with the Kanade moving south towards the Sakura Forest, and the Taihou moving North towards the border of Nihonshin and Allegretto. The government is based on an aristocracy of its nine noble clans(Ok, so obviously, the theme here is based on East Asia, but I’m not limiting it to Japanese. Use any name that sounds like it comes from the burning red east for villages and other landmarks. I’m gonna be strict here with character names, since it shouldn’t be hard for most of you to think of an Asian sounding name.)

Arcadia: North of Allegretto. The major cities are stooped in great legends of warriors and powerful Esper Kin. Especially at its capitol, Arcades. Here lies the Hall of Stories, a great library holding tomes and scrolls with the history and tales of everything in Galileia. The Templar’s (Arcadia’s elite military unit. Can be comparedto the Navy Seals or Army Rangers) headquarters Valhalla, as well as the Kings Gilded Castle are also here. Though Arcades (Are-Kay-Dees) is the capitol, it is not the home of its ruler. The Immortal King Arthur makes his home in Camelot, which is the farthest northern city on the east side of the Mana Chasm, and surrounded by the Frostvale Mountains. The final major city lies next to the Mana Chasm, and is called Asgard. Like Crescendo, Asgard is mainly used as a gondola city, but many people also use the Lokir (Low-Keer) Bridge to the far north. Asgard as well as Arcades lies on the Plains of Avalon, which is a very famous battlefield in which what was thought to be a deciding battle during the 300 Year Esper War was fought. The only other landmark here is Sherwood Forest, which is filled with bandits, and even rumored to be haunted. (So I kinda gave Arcadia a varying culture as far as names go. The only thing about Arcadia’s culture that really matters is that it produces a great deal of powerful Esper Kin. Other than that, most people probably recognized the theme of both British legends like King Arthur, the Knights Templar, and of course Robin Hood, as well as a bit of Viking myths. Character Naming will be overall free here, so long as it makes sense (if you’re Arcadian, don’t be named something like Chao Feng, because that just doesn’t fit), but village naming should sound like it belongs with the rest of the place.)

Folkuliere: Located on the west side of the Mana Chasm, north of Zodiacis. The capitol city is called Farway, and is home to many Esper Kin. Since the death of King Jacob the Mad, there has not been a set king or queen. The one that occupies the Wisemans Throne is changes every twelve years on the year of the Rat. Currently, King Jack and Queen Jill occupy the throne. The next city is called Brugrimm (Brew-Grim), and is famous for being the first Esper Industrialized City. Although this sounds good, the city actually has a bad reputation because of this, and is sometimes blamed for being the start of the 300 Year Esper War. Because of this, the city is also stooped in crime, and is also greatly overpopulated. The final city, and city where King Jacob the Mad was shot from his horse, is called Hassekalale (Hah-Seh-Kuh-Laa-Leh) and is famous for selling Esper related products. There aren’t many other landmarks, apart from the Black Woods, and further west the Mushroom Forest, which is perhaps one of Galileia’s greatest oddities. The Mana there mixed with the surrounding heavy moisture, causing the size of the mushrooms to grow to an enormous size. However, the public makes it a point to never venture into the strange wonder, due to reports of monsters being sighted in the forest. On the border of Folkuliere and Zodiacis lies the Glass Desert, which is another oddity, as the sand in the deserts is all made of crushed sapphires. Though sapphires are obviously not rare, many people from all around Galieia travel to Folkuliere to see the beautiful blue sand, and even more stay in the Border city called Agrabah. (This country was tricky. Main problem was names, since I plan on this place being based on Fairy Tales and bedtime stories (Cinderella, Snow White, Aladinn, etc). So, naming things here will be pretty much unlimited. I only request that you make it sound like it belongs in a Fairy Tale.)

Z0odiacis: South of Folkuliere. Unlike the rest of the countries, women are frequently the main rulers of Zodiacis, and Queen Artemis has lead the country well during her rule, though she is still rather young for a ruler, as she is only 19.The capital city of Sagittarius is by far one of the largest cities in Galileia, beaten only by Arcades and Fermata, and is also knick-named “The City of Guilds”, due to the amount of guilds started there, but the city is also linking to the gondola systems. Though Zodiacis may not have the largest city, it definitely has the most beautiful city, as anyone would agree upon entering the city of Pisces and gazing upon its many Nether Gem powered light fountains. It is here the new Queen of Zodiacis is always crowned. Finally, at the slopes of Draco Mountain, there is Scorpio, the city of lawlessness; or at least casino’s and gambling halls, the most famous being Virgo’s, due to its waitress’ secret business as well as night time jobs. The only major landmarks are Cancer and Aquarius Lake, Glass desert on the border, and Ursa Forest to the east side of Cancer Lake. (So if you’re still clueless, the theme here is Zodiacs and constellations. Pretty sure the name gave away the Zodiac part, I mean my creativity muscle all but died when I got to this. Anyways, since there aren’t may constellations and only twelve, or I guess thirteen Zodiacs now, you can use Greek or Arabic names for characters here. Villages gotta be named after constellations or Zodiacs.)

I'd like most of the characters to begin in Allegretto, simply to advance the story without needless problems or half of us acting on our own.

Name: Ikito Makoro

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Birthdate: July 29th

Affinity: Metal and Fire

Country of Birth: Allegretto

Village of Birth: Beat Village in Melody Desert

Personality: Ikito is the kind-hearted, if somewhat moronic, boy from the desert. He never misses a chance to make a joke at something funny he saw, though they don’t always make sense to anyone. Though he isn’t very bright, he makes up for that with bravery, though that could just be more stupidity. His greatest dream, since the time that his dad left to become a Black Hunter, has been to be the first person to find the pitch-black sword. Because of his short stature, he is rather sensitive to height issues and short comments, and usually reacts rather angrily when they’re directed at him. He enjoys the company of other people quite a bit, but can be equally entertained if he’s on his own. Ikito is also one of those people that you never really see depressed or upset. It’d literally take the death of five of his friends all at once to upset him. In his village his family is known as the “Crazy Black Hunter”, since every generation of males has gone chasing after the pitch-black sword. It is for this reason that Ikito wishes to find the sword and give honor to the Makoro family name.

Espers:

Breaker Slash – Charges Metal Mana to his sword, making the blade spark and surge with electricity, then swings the sword, releasing the Mana in a powerful electric energy wave that can immobilize his enemies by damaging their nerves, but only for a short while.

Dragon Tongue – Charges flame Mana to the sword and engulfs the blade in fire, then does a quick 5 hit combo attacking the legs once, head once, and chest thrice. Usually leaves bad burns on the targets chest.

Weapon: Specially made great sword crafted by Ikito’s father for the use of hunting for the pitch-black sword. It consists of a rather 1”6ft long hilt, in which two 5”7ft thick single edged blade are attached facing outwards making the sword double-edged. The blades are bridged by three 4in plates, the first being about 1ft up the blades, the last being 1”8ft away from the first. The plates assist in charging Metal Mana, but do little to help charge Fire Mana. Though it took lots of practice, Ikito is actually able to fight very quickly with the sword.

Voice Actor:

English - Todd Haberkorn

Japanese – Nobuhiko Okumoto

Appearance: Ikito is a fairly short boy when compared to the other males his age in Beat Village, as he stands only 5”7ft. Although he’s short, he’s rather buff, with finely chiseled muscles from using such a large sword as well as traveling the world as a Black Hunter, but he also is lean and carries himself rather well. He’s got spiky red hair that doesn’t add as much height to him as he wanted, and vivid blue eyes. His chest and arms are slightly scarred from his many fights and battles. As far as clothing, he wears a dull, grassy-green vest that easily exposes his abs and chest. Around his neck is adorned a blue scarf with a strange but interesting abstract pattern around it. For his waist down, he has a long flowing sash, and poofy open pants. When traveling, he also wears a sandy brown cloak and of course his sword strapped to his back. His outfit was made intentionally open and poofy due to his being born in a desert village. When in colder climates, he wears a thicker shirt under his vest, but this is usually only seen in snowy mountains or frigid tundra’s. Overall, Ikito’s appearance can be compared to that of a seasoned adventurer.

Biography: Ikito’s history is nothing truly strange or special, but in his small village, it was considered an oddity. His father left when he was eight years of age to chase after the pitch-black sword as a Black Hunter, and two years later, his mother died of illness. At first, it was thought that Ikito’s father would come, but after two years of absence, it was reported by a fellow Black Hunter that his father disappeared mysteriously. And thus, Ikito made inherited his dads sword and made the decision to become a Black Hunter.

As a child, Ikito was never really popular, but wasn’t necessarily treated poorly or bullied. He didn’t have much of an education, and was always full of energy and spirit. His father was usually away, and he spent a lot of time with his mother. From her he learned the history of Galileia and what his father did as well as his reason for it. The two were seen together almost all the time, until she became ill with an odd lung disease and died when he was ten. Although he had every reason too, Ikito never cried much about either of his parents deaths, and when questioned about why, he’d always say that his parents would want him to be strong.

He’s been traveling Galileia for five years now as a Black Hunter, and is still just as close to anyone else is to finding the sword. Still, he perseveres, believing that he will one day find the legendary blade, and bring thee honor of finding it to the Makoro family name. Though he’s never told anyone else, he also has another reason for his search. Ikito has never fully believed that his father is dead, and he is searching the world in a secondary attempt to find his lost parent. While on his quest, he’s faced many different dangers, and learned much about Galileia, though this may be the only thing he’s ever been smart with, and has grown very strong because of his journey. For this reason, he’s never felt that his decision to become a Black Hunter was a poorly made one.
Name: Harp Strum

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Birthdate: November 19th

Affinity: Water and Healing

Country of Birth: Allegretto

Village of Birth: Beat Village

Personality: Harp is a very well mannered girl, well at first at least, as she becomes ruder and less mannered as she gets to know people and grows comfortable. This is not to say that she is mean or impolite however. Harp is often described as one of the kindest girls people know and for good reason. She has a great dislike of spiders, or any bug really, but is fascinated with studying them. She's a bit of a neat freak when she's alone, and often takes to cleaning her surrounding area, whether it's a house or a forest if left by herself. People don't typically confide in her too much, simply because she has a rather big mouth, and is unable to keep any secret.

Espers:

Weapon: none

Voice Actor:

English – Laura Bailey

Japanese – Yui Horie

Appearance: Harp is a tall blonde girl (tall in her village), who is obviousely in her teens. She caries herself similarly to how a popular school girl or a prom queen might, -due to her upbringing- despite how she feels at the time. She's often been the target of male eyes, as she has fairly attractive features. Pronounced cheek bones, large green eyes, and curves that'd drive a truck off the road. Her chest is often a target of comedy among her friends, since she has bragging rights to a set of D's there, but always tries to conceal them as best she can -partly to leave things to imagination. Her legs are attractive as well, being long and slender and the part of herself she shows off most (unintentionally). For clothes, she wears a purple tank-top covered by a small white vest with blue trimmings and a wire shutting. Knee high boots cover most of her legs, and a pair of blue short shorts cover her other areas. She also wears black fingerless gloves for gripping rocks in the desert. I colder climates, she swaps her vest for a white winter coat with brown fur linings. She now wears a pair of mittens in substitute fop her gloves, and pants rather than shorts, and snow boots for extra warmth.

Biography: Harp was born to the magistrate family of Beat Village. She's lived a happy life of ease and comfort in a manor in the village. Since her childhood, Harp has been very close to Ikito, but has never managed to confess her feelings to him. When Ikito left, she debated telling him, but was too late, and arrived at his home an hour after he left. Being from a wealthy family, she had a very good education and expensive tutors from Harmony, so she quickly became very intelligent. It wasn't until she was sixteen, on one of Ikito's return visits, when he saved the village from bandits that she decided to go with Ikito on his quest to find the Pitch-Black Sword. She never really believed in the myth of the sword, but she went more to be with Ikito.

Name: Kozah Vulon

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Birthdate: February 13th

Affinity: Moon

Country of Birth: Arcadia

City/Village of birth: Originally born in the city of Asgard

Personality: Vulon is a character with a large sense of point of views on situations, or in other words, an in depth thinker of scenarios. However, while he has many ideas on something, he does not give all of his ideas, if any in the first place, allowing other conflicts to resolve. However, he has a sense of justice and devotion to the greater good, so if a presence is required, he will step in and take action. In all other regards however, he is a man of musical tastes, often singing tales of past legends, adventures, and such, and shares his tales with fellow warriors like him. He'd love to share a drink with anyone he feels like he'd enjoy a great time with; an all around great fellow for anyone looking for a great time.

Espers:

- Moonguard - Upon being attacked, he uses his Moon powers to disembody certain parts of the body, depending on the direction of the attack. When the attack resolves, the Moonguard is resolved as well, and the point where the attack would be made, a black line is made. This is not guaranteed to work, however, as it may disembody at first, but may embody once again, trapping the weapon in his body, killing or doing significant damage. There is also the chance that the weapon may pass through one disembodied limb, and successfully land on a normal limb. Even at this age, it's still an unstable power to him.

Weapon(s): You're looking at a weapon man, armed to the teeth

  • Shark claw

    arm_shark_fantasy_weapon.jpg

Shark claw is mounted on the shoulder when not in use, and by a mechanical device, Kozah can trigger it to come down from his shoulder to his hand. Currently equipped to be right handed.

  • Bloodletter side blade

    TS-BLOODRAYNE.jpg

Bloodletter, like Shark, is mounted on the upper left arm prior to usage, and can be equipped by triggering a mechanism.

  • Vulon Family Blade - Red Night

    TS-RDSCRB.jpg

Unlike the other weapons, this is mounted on the side, and remains sheathed until the need to use it is necessary.

Voice Actor: N/A

Appearance: Minus the helmet and sword

son_of_skyrim_by_kaio89-d3eo8bo.jpg

Biography: Son of a weapon/blacksmith of sorts, he was naturally drawn to weaponry, both making, and using them, as well as other inventions that he and his father worked on together as father and son. Since his mother passed away from childbirth, he lived and worked with his father since. When he turned 11, he and his father decided it would be great to travel the land, country to country, and experience the world, bring fortune to others and bring tales to friends.

It was years later, at the age of 16, when Kozah first use a weapon as if his very own life depended on it. When he and his father were ambushed by a group of bandits during the night time, of a full moon, they attacked his father; losing his right arm, he recoiled back, and unable to do anything, told his son to grab the Vulon family sword and run. However, his words were too late, and Kozah grabbed the sword and took a stance to fight. "I couldn't just run away with a sword while my father was being attacked. No, I had to do something! So... I stood and fought. Like my father would have." While the bandits all took his chance to fight for laughter, Kozah first discovered his powers by sheer accident, an attack to his face, leaving a black scar over his right eye. When they first learned of his powers, they all grew scared and confused. During their confusion however, Kozah struck down upon their heads, defending his, and his father's, right to live. His father couldn't forge any more weapons for the time being, so he taught Kozah what he knew.

Through his father's suffering, Kozah felt it was only right that he should help his father in some way. So, after several days, weeks, months, of trail and of error, Kozah finally created a temporary prosthetic for his father, so he can once again do what he loved. For several other areas of smithing, he created other prosthetics as well. "I never want to see him suffer the pain of never doing what he loved. Smithing was his second favorite thing to do he said, and I only want to give him a chance to do it again." Though his thanks, Kozah was told of the legend of the Pitch-Black Sword, and it's supposed great power. Kozah had learned of the power the Warrior did with it. A power that awesome, could lead on to fame and fortune, and corruption and power hungry. It was at the age of 18, when he decided it was time to leave and set out for the world, and possibly searching for the Pitch-Black Sword. "A weapon of such awesome and destructive power... Keeping it in the world... Why?"

Name: Alhena Mebsuta / Propus Mebsuta

Age: 17

Gender: Female(Alhena), Male(Propus)

Birthdate: 10th June

Affinity: Wind

Country of Birth: Zodiacus

City/Village of birth: Castor City of the Gemini Zone

Personality: On first sight, Alhena tends to give the cold shoulder very often, appearing to not give a damn about you, even if she does. She will, however, protect you at all costs should you be her ally, if she trusts you. Over time, however, she will begin to warm up to you, and tends to feel insecure when you are not around. This is a tsundere.

Propus, on the other hand, appears to be a brave young soul who is willing to brave any challenge. In actual fact, he has the lowest self-esteem you will ever know of, and tends to actually be quite the coward. With a little support, however, he is able to brave even the toughest of all challenges. He relies on support all the time, and is virtually useless without it.

Espers:

Wind Chime – Chanels wind mana. This is an odd ability that allows few gifts. Alhena/Propus is able to send gusts of wind at their foes to literally blow them away. While Alhena’s soul is active, these gusts of wind are razor-sharp and fast and are known to defy air resistance, charging until it hits something. While Propus’ soul is active, these gusts of wind move a slowly, but they are in the form of giant, nearly indestructible spheres that never stop until they slam their foes onto a giant wall, or hit a giant wall. In both forms, it allows basic flight.

Dual Spirit – An attack which lacks element. This is the ability that allows Alhena to switch to Propus and back again. It cannot be used two times in a row. With enough concentration, the two personalities can replicate into two bodies and back together. With even more concentration, both personalities can fuse as one to form ‘Dual Soul’, the true potential of the Mebsuta. While these are separate souls and forms, they share the same mind.

Weapon(s):

The Big Dipper

A desert eagle with seven shots before reloading.

Dish and spoon

A completely circular white metallic shield, coupled with a shiny, silvery club shaped like a spoon. Acquired during a trip to Folkuliere.

Senbonzakura and Kago no Tori

A pair of diamond-coated katanas acquired on their trip to Nihonshin. These diamond swords can pierce virtually anything, including rock-solid walls. Sometimes used as a tool for excavation and mining.

Sora

Not exactly a weapon, but these are artificial wings completely made from fabric and wood, which when coupled with the Wind Chime, allows flight. Acquired from Nihonshin.

Voice Actor:

English: Cristina Vee(Alhena), Yuri Lowenthal(Propus)

Japanese: Rie Kugimiya(Alhena), Kana Hanazawa(Propus. No, really.)

Appearance: Alhena has a pair of long, blue drill-like twintails that almost reach the floor. She may look seventeen, but looks like a seven-year old, in actual fact, reaching a height of 1.2 metres. Her skin is fair and white, and her eyes a shining blue. She is completely flat-chested and slender, with no curves at all. In this form, she generally wears a white fedora hat, along with a corset and a mini-skirt. She has a pair of shoes as well, along with gloves. Her voice is quite high pitched of sorts.

Propus has cobalt-blue medium length hair. Like Alhena, he looks seven despite his true age. He lacks any muscles and is very thin. His skin is fair and white, and his eyes appear to be akin to shining sapphires. In this form, he wears a beanie, coupled with a pair of goggles and a dishrivelled scarf over his full long-sleeve sweater and short shorts. His voice lacks masculinity.

Biography: Alhena was born into the aristocratic family of the Mebsutas, where she inhabits Castor City of the Gemini Zone, the city that overlooks Pollux town. The Mebsutas are known for being travellers, acquiring treasures, especially weapons, from all over Galileia. Of course, no doubt they would want to acquire any treasure they hear of, especially the pitch-black sword.

The Mebsutas had one odd ability – the Dual Spirit. They are able to alter their gender, but in turn, are given a new personality until they turn back. They have harnessed this odd ability even before Esper Weavers rose. That was around the time they began to harness the power of the wind.

Alhena, having learnt all an average Mebsuta needs to know, believes that she is ready to venture into the world. She has already been pass Nihonshin, and is currently on her way to Allegretto. Even though she has been past one place, her Dual Soul and Wind Chime are still a little difficult to control for her. She has heard odd rumours of Allegretto, which was her sole reason for it being her next stop.
Name: Aiya Krystellia

Age: 26

Gender: Female

Birth Date: 27th August

Affinity: Ice/Poison

Country of Birth: Arcadia

City of Birth: Camelot

Personality: Despite only having three quarters of a brain, Aiya is no less intelligent in any stance than any human being. In truth, her IQ extends over the 150 mark, which is known to be smart even under normal criteria, and only proves to be amazing when one takes into account that she's missing a whole chunk of brain. That aside, however, Aiya does tend to have her problems. First and foremost are her host of mental illnesses; she's officially been diagnosed with depression, schizophrenia and a couple of phobias, and she has vast difficulty controlling any outbursts of rage, even with professional help. Aiya will always second guess her sanity, as although she's normally kind, heartfelt and a nice person in general, she tends to immediately throw conscience to the wind when she's provoked, and even if she believes she has to kill someone just to ensure that whatever it was that provoked her never happens again, she won't even hesitate to do so. Luckily for everyone else, Aiya is a hard person to provoke, but a continuous stream of spiteful remarks will often do the trick, especially if they're aimed at her, and even more especially if they involve the word "freak". She really does have problems hearing that word. Aiya feels most comfortable by herself, talking to her own reflection. Weirdly, the more she looks at and speaks to her own reflection, the further she falls in love with it, and this can quite easily turn into some kind of strange mirror fetish. It's best to leave her alone in such a state, as making one's presence known in that case may also provoke her. Not to mention that it will scare the living daylights of her. Another thing to note is that Aiya loves feeling cold, and the colder she feels, the more she loves it. But she has the exact opposite stance on heat, and she has such an excessive sweating problem that even just an abnormally hot day in the city will have a whole torrent of sweat pour all over Aiya's body.

Espers: Glacial Aura and Microwave Radiation

Weapon(s): Rifle Arm, I-Spi Firing Control System and X10DA Blade

Voice Actor: Karen Strassman (English)/Maaya Sakamoto (Japanese)

Appearance:

Aiya tries to keep her appearance as similar to a normal human's appearance as possible, but with the share number of flaws in her body, that proves to be a tall order. For starters, she has a rifle on her left arm, which has been amputated along half the length of the forearm, and the whole right side of her face is hollow, save for her lips, nose, right ear, which is the only one that can hold up her glasses as the left spoke is broken, and right eye socket, which houses the main components for her I-Spi Firing Control System. The outside is protected by a steel mask that is literally welded to the rest of Aiya's head. Without it, one can see what's supposed to be the insides of Aiya's head, including the left side of her brain and the back half of the right, which seem to be the only parts of the brain she has left. Underneath Aiya's large breasts is a steel plate that surrounds the rib cage. She claims that this helps support her body, but what it actually does is hide something that she's most hesitant about allowing the revelation of; a second pair of breasts. Luckily for Aiya, this second pair of breasts are actually small; only being about a B-cup at best whilst the main, gargantuan-in-comparison breasts are even slightly too large to fit inside the biggest bra they make, which is why Aiya doesn't wear one. Instead, she has a charcoal grey leather skin suit with various intricate golden vynils in various places, specifically around the breasts, shoulders, back, lower stomach and hips, and this is the only layer of clothing that stops her from being seen in her undergarments. Weirdly, the skin suit seems to unzip at the front. It's hard discern if this is the way the suit was designed or Aiya always puts it on back to front, as there's no ticket anywhere along the collar.

Biography: It isn't easy being a victim of a nuclear war. Unfortunately for Aiya Krystellia, that's exactly how she was born, when nuclear weaponry was involved in the 300 Year Esper War. Her mother Tsuriche, who was only 2 months or so pregnant with her, but unaware of this at the time, had participated in the war as a sniper. During the course of the war, Tsuriche was hit by the radiation of a nuke that had exploded nearby, and fainted. Aiya had absorbed all the radiation though, and that corrupted the whole pregnancy, giving her various mutations and making her grow so quickly that by the time Tsuriche had awakened from her unconsciousness a week later, she appeared as though she was 9 months pregnant, and about to give birth any second. In actuality, Aiya had only been stuck inside Tsuriche's womb for a total of 3 months, screaming to be let out on the last day before she was born. After somehow managing to get Aiya's hips stuck during her attempt to give natural birth, Tsuriche requested her womb to be cut open so the doctors could pull her out. This took strong hands and a helluva lot of perseverance, before Aiya could finally be freed from where she was stuck in Tsuriche's womb and welcomed into her arms.

However, Aiya knew something wasn't right with her body the minute she observed her mother's for comparison. The major differences were that Aiya never grew a left hand, and that she had 4 nipples rather than the normal 2. She also had three different hair colours for the fringe (steel grey), sides (teal) and back (purple, with a few pink strands right on top and in the centre), and cyan eyes, but she suspected they wouldn't be that problematic. However, as she hit puberty at the age of 7, which normally would be to early for anyone, Aiya shot through the roof in terms of height, already finishing at 5' 11" by the time she was 12. Everything else started to be shaped when she was 10, also having stopped at 12 except for her first pair of breasts. Although Aiya's first pair of breasts were already sizeable at the age of 12, they continued to grow right up until her 14th birthday, where they ended up having the size and weight of bowling balls. Her second pair of breasts attempted to grow to exactly the same size when she was 15, but Aiya, not wanting to look like a total freak, rapidly injected a chemical into these breasts so that they'd stop growing before they became too large. It wore off after a while, but Aiya inserted a steel plate just in case this would happen, and although her second pair of breasts didn't manage to grow any larger, they did manage to give her pain and discomfort, until they stopped attempting to grow altogether at the age of 18. Luckily, no-one was too judgemental of Aiya's puberty stage as a whole.

But that was only because Aiya took measures to ensure no-one could see everything that was happening to her. Later on, she played a game of Truth or Dare with some friends she had made in college, only to wind up being dared to walk around completely topless in the local mall, which she really had problems with. Eventually though she just on with it, but when the friends realized why she was so hesitant in the first place, that being that she'd end up revealing her second pair of breasts, they giggled uncontrollably at the sight of Aiya. However, not only was Aiya embarrassed at their giggly, but she was also starting to become enraged as well. Realizing this, the guy of the group of friends quickly apologized and offered Aiya's clothes and the steel plate back, both of which she snatched angrily. But before she had the chance to put them on, Aiya could feel radiation building up in her brain, and warned the friends to get out of there and call an ambulance, before succumbing to the high radiation levels.

The friends managed to make it out of the mall OK, but everyone inside had been severely poisoned by the radiation that seeped out from one of Aiya's Espers. Aiya had theworst of it though, as her body was beginning to shut down, and she was throwing up all over the place. Not to mention that a whole chunk of bone, skin, flesh, brain matter and even the whole eye had exploded out of the right side of Aiya's face, although the eye socket remained, oddly enough. Unfortunately, Aiya was sentenced to life in prison for endangering the lives of thousands of people, and shipped to a women's prison that was located deep in the heart of the Frostvale Mountains after a steel mask was welded over her face. While in this women's prison, Aiya found that the other women were generally being bullied and harassed by a teenage giantess by the name of Kira Shinseina, but this specific girl ignored Aiya because she didn't even want to look at her at first. One day however, something came over Kira, during Aiya's first time doing one of the typical prison chores outside. Whilst the other women had raced inside to get out of the cold, Aiya didn't move anywhere, causing Kira to consequently stop in her tracks. It was after they talked for a bit that Kira opened up, admitting that she had some kind of lust problem, before things started getting intimate between the two of them.
Name: Shin no Hochi

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Birth date: December Twenty First

Affinity: Moon

Country of Birth: Nihonshin

City/Village of birth: Kamagakure

Personality: A guarded individual, Shin no Hochi, or Shin as the few who are familiar with him call him, is not comfortable in large crowds and equally uncomfortable in cities or towns of any sort. He frequently refuses to use his Espers, fearing the power that he may unleash and sometimes unleashes unwillingly. Overall he prefers to be left alone, and leaves others alone unless they confront him directly. Concerning combat, he prefers to leave his foes alive but does not always have a choice in the matter. Concerning his hates, he does not tolerate it when the innocent are taken advantage of, but unfortunately he cannot make a living by honest means in most cases and has to steal simply to stay alive. What he likes is a more difficult question. He has had a hard time finding anything to like, aside from the peace he gets when alone.

Espers:

Tsukuyomi: An orb of pure darkness gathers within Shin's left hand, taking a moment to coalesce. Once it has fully formed, he stretches out his hand towards his target and the darkness rushes forth in the shape of a spear at the speed equivalent to a bullet. Once the orb has manifested, it remains and can be recharged quickly to fire again. Instead of a single large spear, a shotgunesque burst of smaller spears can be fired as well.

Blade of Shadow: Shin charges the energies of darkness into either his hand or a weapon he carries. He then brings either the hand or the weapon about in a rapid arc, letting a curved blade of pure shadows fly forth towards his target. The blade travels quickly, at about the speed of a bolt from a crossbow, and equals a masterfully forged sword in sharpness.

Think of this next one not so much as a spell but as a limit break of sorts.

Lord of Night:

In times of incredible stress or dire need, Shin is overcome by the power of darkness within him. The shadows manifest themselves throughout the whole of his body, transforming him into the personification of darkness. It can be determined that this has occurred when his entire body becomes as if it were composed of shadows and his eyes begin to faintly glow red. When in this form, Shin moves at supernatural speeds and can teleport from place to place through the shadows cast by physical objects. At night, when in this form, Shin becomes almost entirely undetectable.

Weapon(s):

Shin carries a blade similar to the Katanas common in his homeland, and about four and a half feet in length, with one exception. The hilt is of a style foreign to Nihonshin. Questions to his father, the original maker of the blade, never revealed the origin of the style.

The Blade

The_Slicer_by_Soulflame81-1.jpg

About a year ago, Shin came across a trade caravan from Folkuliere. The caravan guards, recognizing him as a wanted criminal, made to attack him. He fought them off, and the caravaners fled before him rather than right. He moved forward to take advantage of this unexpected boon, and in his search for supplies he came across a curious weapon which he has wielded ever since.

The Weapon

Nelri_Blade_Concept___III_by_Aikurisu.jpgThe blades on this weapon are each half the length of the blade of the sword his father made.

On either hand, SHin wears a pair of metallic gauntlets. While the gauntlets themselves are not weapons, each one bears a small Cylindrical tube along the back of the hand. These tubes are connected to Nether Gem Batteries located in the mechanical workings of the gauntlets themselves and are capable of firing focused bursts of raw mana at a short range, ten meters at the longest.

Voice Actor: Eric Vale

Appearance:

The_wanderer_by_Shandra_chan.jpg

To answer the questions unanswered by this picture, Shin's hair is dark black and shaped into short backward facing spikes on his head. His eyes are a dull grey in color, but always have a faint shine to them. The bladed weapons he carries are held out of scabbards upon his back, held in place by a small nether gem powered device which projects a magnetic field. This sort of device is common enough to be used by anyone who doesn't want to bother with a shield.

Biography:

Shin no Hochi was born twenty two years ago on the winter solstice. The ground in the village of Kamagakure was covered in snow, and the skies were unusually clear as a full moon shone down. His mother was in labor, and his father was putting the finishing touches on the sword he would teach his son to wield, as was the tradition in that village. Moments before Shin was born, a black dot, which twinkled like a star against the light of the moon, appeared and was visible to all for miles around but was seen as directly in the center only in Kamagakure. Just as he was born, Shin's mother died mysteriously. Though it was investigated thoroughly, no one could ever determine the cause. This became the unfortunate origin of Shin's name, as the village sage named him "Shin no Hochi" ("Death's star in the common tongue) after the black object which had appeared in the skies that night. For the rest of his life Shin was tormented by the events surrounding his birth as well as his name. His father was the only person he could draw comfort from, and under his stern guide he quickly mastered the way of wielding the rather strange blade his father had made. It was one day, the day of his twelfth birthday actually, when a group of villagers came into his home while he was sleeping and dragged him out into the night. His father tried to intervene and was killed by the very people he thought were his friends. The villagers, thinking that he was a bad omen and having decided he had lived for too long, drug him into the center of town and made to burn him. It was then that he was overcome by the dormant power of the Esper within him and first became the Lord of Night. The entire population of the town lie dead by morning, and a soldier who had been staying the night in the town was roused by the commotion and fled as quickly as he could back to Takamagahara to give news of this to the Shogunate. Within a week of the event Shin was the most wanted criminal in Nihonshin and was pursued by nearly the entire country. He was forced to flee, but was pursued and in his wake he inevitably left a trail of death which has lead to his becoming one of the most wanted criminals in all of Galileia, with a much larger target painted on the back of his head so far as Nihonshin is concerned. During that time, a particular Bounty Hunter who Identified himself only as The Burning Fist challenged Shin and was, against Shin's wishes, slain. It was from this man that Shin gained his gauntlets. A year ago, his trail went cold and most pursuers ceased to track him, supposing that he had been killed secretly or caught. The truth is that Shin has made his way into the Melody Desert in Allegretto, hoping to find some place where he could live without being chased and perhaps find some clue as to the location of the Pitch-Black Sword, thinking that finding such a relic would help people to see that he wasn't truly evil at all.

Name: Francisque Étude Chopin

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Birthdate: March 1st

Affinity: Water / Earth

Country of Birth: Allegretto

City/Village of birth: Capitol Harmony

Personality: Fran is a duplicitous, callous sort of creature prone to bouts of ego and immaturity. Primarily a selfish person, most of what Fran does can be traced back to whatever she happens to want at the time- money, fame, etcetera. Though self-serving, she is not stupid; rather, she is very much aware of how to manipulate people towards her desires, and has no scruples towards using this to her advantage; indeed, she often gets a kick out of using people, especially ones that she considers 'stupid'. Far as Fran is concerned, people do not deserve sympathy if she hasn't gotten any- she's not very good at putting herself into other's shoes, nor does she want to be.

One might hesitate at calling Fran evil, however. Though obviously not a pleasant person, she still attempts to shy away from extreme cruelty- especially for no reason. Her selfishness is a defence mechanism more than not, designed to alienate her from possible allies or friends- Fran has managed to convince herself that facing life alone is far preferable to having anyone else to worry about. Though her short term goals seem very short-sighted, it becomes readily apparent that Fran really has her country's best interests at heart- and she really does care about the other citizens of Allegretto, if not the individual. Much of what she does is motivated for what she thinks is the greater good, and how she'll accomplish that- she doesn't particularly care about other people's opinions, because she's already decided on what's best.

Espers:

Clay Shadow - Fran creates a rough human-shaped mannequin from the earth, then varnishes it with a thin layer of water that perpetually reflects her current appearance. Fran can then manipulate the actions of the mannequin until it is grievously damaged, with minimal effort- forming a mannequin is a very fast process and requires very little thought on her end to control, though creating multiple places an abnormal strain on her. Currently, she can simultaneously command three Clay Shadows maximum, though their actions would be limited and she could not participate in a combat situation in that state.

Clay shadows cannot use Espers, but they can attack using copies of Fran's weapons (though obviously, made from clay and thus somewhat less fatal). Clay Shadows will naturally disintegrate after one-and-a-half hours, though their illusion spell will wear off within thirty minutes if the sun is shining.

Liar's Mist - Fran covers a reasonable (25 x 25 meters outdoors, or the entirety of a closed room) with thick fog that distorts the senses of those trapped within. Those trapped within will be assaulted by random smells, slowly have their nerves numbed, build up pressure within the ears and face a landscape that takes on a mirror-like quality in a semi-random direction. Even if Fran were to stand still in the center of the mist, it's still mildly unlikely someone could find her- the eyes of those looking for her would be easily deceived. While potent, Liar's Mist will dissipate quickly under sunlight, and is completely useless against those of a Water affinity.

Weapon(s): Fran uses a staggering variety of weaponry, most of which being projectile-based with easily-concealed ammunition. Her signature weapons are a set of playing cards- a deck of 78 playing cards, each with a razor edge equipped with a different sort of poison. Some target the opponent's vision, whereas others are muscle relaxants, mental suppressants or sleep-inducers; while few are outright fatal and often won't win a fight in a single cut, the deliberating effects are cumulative on an enemy, their variation helping to prevent the opponent from adapting during the right itself. The cards are slightly magical, charged by a generator found in the deck box, and thus their poisons never need to be replenished and may return to Fran's hand at a single gesture, though Fran must periodically replace the Nether Gem.

Fran also carries a set of Thousand Needles, which are projectile weapons that can be carried in various holsters hidden in Fran's clothing. The needles are simple, long shafts with a bladed edge, though they are coated in a light poison that prevents blood clotting, causes infectious contamination and numbs the skin, causing the opponent to bleed out rather quickly if caught by several of the needles.

Fran also carries five small throwing knives at her at all times, which can also be used as close-combat punch daggers in a pinch. She typically carries a number of soft explosive spheres, which are used for demolition and escape purposes, as well as a larger "suicide" brand bomb kept solely for bartering purposes. When in combat, however, Fran uses everything to her advantage- if her weapons aren't availible to her, she will gladly make due with whatever she can find.

Appearance: Francisque is a taller girl, standing just shy of six feet, with a head of shocking red hair that falls just short of her shoulders. A single bang sticks up at a slight angle towards her back right, and she rarely sees fit to try and do anything about it- she doesn't generally appear very well kept. Even so, she is obviously quite attractive, with striking cheekbones and large blue eyes; she was blessed with a rather shapely figure and above-average bust, qualities she takes pains to accentuate in most of her clothing- at least when she wants the public at large to notice her.

When disguising herself as a gypsy, she ironically wears the closest thing she has to her 'preferred' clothing- flowing, vaguely mismatched garments of lush green, black and velvet red. She wears a thick mantle around her neck, and a black blouse with a low neckline, combined with a three-part skirt that forms part of her outlying coat. In this clothing, she wears a large amount of jewellery around her neck and hands, and keeps a veil across most of her face- this allows her to keep the sort of sultry mystique that fortune-telling gypsies would.

Outside of that situation however, Fran's clothing is much more muted. When hiding in the desert, she wears brown leathers and a beige hood to keep off the sun while blending into her surroundings; beneath the leathers are a standard, tight-fitting cotton shirt and pair of pants, which makes up the very basics of her clothing elsewise.

Biography: Francisque Étude Chopin was born to the noble Chopin family, aristocrats of Harmony since years bygone, and was raised as such for much of her life. Treated to a world of privilege and excess, she grew quite spoiled rather quickly, preferring to stay ignorant and arrogant rather than learn the specifics of the world she was thrust into. Since she was a rather poor student, too pig-headed to coerce into basically anything, and wilfully ignorant of the people around her, she was caught totally unaware when the King's men appeared at the doorstep to their estate on day, citing charges of conspiracy involving the entire family.

Though she never learned the entire story, it appeared that Fran's father (and head of the family), had intended to challenge the Falsetto ownership of the throne based on some documents from hundreds of years ago that might suggest others had such a claim- as a result, the current kingship had decided the family was a diseased branch, a group of possible opponents that must be removed before the rot spilled elsewhere. The Chopin family was executed in one fell swoop, Fran only managing to fall through the cracks due to her mother's insistence that she was a "filthy street urchin" brought in for unrelated matters. She was left penniless and alone on the streets.

Or perhaps not as much. There had been those who supported the Chopin family, though the Royal house and other nobles tried to cover up the mass execution from the public as best as they could. Fran got money, training when she wanted it, and more than that- a purpose. Some of these supporters had a theory- that it was the Chopinfamily that had the right to the throne, not the Falsetto family. At some point, this became fact in Fran's mind- and she retreated to the outskirts of Harmony, the desert wastes, in order to oppose the current government from a safe location.

She became a bandit, attacking those who went by. They didn't matter, really- normal people were not her concern. She had a plan, or so she thought, to tear down the monarchy and replace the throne with herself- become ruler of all Allegretto. That was her purpose.
Name: Blues / Alcor Septrius

Age: 34

Gender: Male

Birthdate: February 14

Affinity: Ice

Country of Birth: Zodiacis

City/Village of birth: Scorpio

Personality: Blues is an exceptionally laid-back fellow, willing to take a back seat and watch the world pass by without moving a muscle. He has a good sense of humor, if perhaps a bit dark, and is rather easy to get along with on a casual basis. Most people meeting with him tend to think he hasn't a care in the world- the planet could crumble around him, and his biggest concern would be that he couldn't drink at his favourite bar any longer.

In reality, Blues had reached the point in his life where he finds it difficult to care about things any more. He's said his piece, done his dance- despite not being very old, really all he wants is to retire from reality. He tried and failed, and he tries not to remind himself of that- typically by drinking a lot and hitting on women -subtly of course (he IS a gentleman, after all, and one has to keep a certain amount of decorum).

Unfortunately, Blues' heart tends to get him into more trouble than his head wants to deal with. His sense of justice is refined, even if he tells himself he's past the point of heroism- he still drops most of his money (that doesn't go to his drinks) into the laps of the poor, and predators that hunt the streets tend to meet an unfortunate fate when they reveal themselves too quickly. When someone does something he can't abide by, and he can't ignore its existence, he feels almost compelled to fight against it. He knows its futile, really, but some part of him isn't cynical enough that he can deny someone help that he can see in front of him.

Espers:

Polar Chain: Blues releases a burst of blue energy either from his hand or his gun, which detonates into a thin mist the moment it hits something solid. Anything living within one-and-a-half cubic meters of the detonation instantly has thick chains made of ice form around them, anchored to the center of the burst- the chains become thicker depending on how much was enveloped by the burst, and how close it was to the center. If a part of the body is hit directly by the burst, it forms a peg- a thick chunk of ice that skewers through the hit part much like a sword, or thick dagger. The chains cannot be removed from a body with a peg stuck in it unless the peg itself is destroyed- naturally, the peg is the strongest part of the chain.

Chains melt naturally after a few minutes unless periodically refreshed by Blues.

Polar Light: Blues summons a large orb of immaculate light and throws it. The sphere moves slowly, but it actually transforms anything that it touches into pure ice (of appropriate thickness). Things imbued with magical energy freeze far slower, and the orb cannot touch objects that are vastly superior to its magical power. The orb radiates coldness, and disappears as soon as Blues stops feeding power to it; while he is capable of doing other things while sustaining the orb, he cannot cast other Espers while it is in play. Since the orb actually freezes the air around it, it is much better at freezing enclosed spaces rather than outdoor locations (especially sealed locations).

Weapon(s): Blues uses the Horse and Rider, a massive gun system shaped from two distinct parts. The first, the Horse, is a Great Halberd; a polearm weapon made of lightweight metal that balances a massive, slightly hooked blade at the top. The weapon resembles a Horse Sword, hence the name, and is easily capable of decapitating large creatures given a good positioning; it is a weapon best used given a certain amount of range, though, given that it is difficult to strike those very close to Blues, if they manage such an approach.

The second component is Rider, a flintlock pistol containing six shots. Each bullet is specially made from magic-receptive crystals, and the barrel of the gun contains a Nether Gem-based generator that imbues each bullet with a spark of power; as such, the bullets fired by rider will explode into small fireballs when they connect with an object. Though the weapon itself has no other properties than that, it has a certain amount of infamy due to Blue's personal promise- whenever he fires it, he will. Never. Miss.

The Horse and Rider is formed by detaching part of Horse's shaft, which interlocks with the barrel of Rider. The blade of Horse provides an additional flint against the weapon's barrels, and the shaft forms an exceptionally long sniper barrel, complete with legs that keep it held still. When in this state, the function of the Nether Gem generator in Rider resonates against a gem found in the base of Horse, changing its function- in exchange for additional energy consumption, the bullets fired from Horse and Rider actively chase opponents, and explode into a great inferno almost instantaneously.

Appearance: Blues is a larger man, standing at about 6'4 with significant muscle mass behind it, and has a dark olive complexion common to his country of birth. His most distinctive feature are his dark-tinted sunglasses, which are worn everywhere and at all times of the day- largely to hide the unnatural reddish-pink tone of his eyes. He generally keeps his beard at a respectable five-o-clock shadow, and wears his dark hair rather long- only about a hand's width above his waist, though usually kept tied back. He has a triangular face, somewhat incongruous with his large body- which is only exasperated by his unusual dress. Blues usually insists on flowing purple cloth robes, usually with the top left slightly undone so he can show off his impressive chest. While not exactly finery, this makes him look almost totally unsuited for combat- indeed, he carries his weapon in an instrument case rather than anything more combat efficient simply because he hopes he doesn't have to actually use it.

Blues' body is covered in a number of markings and scars, some more obvious than others. His left shoulder, if bared, is covered in burns in the shape of various numbers- successively larger values each time, ranging from 120 to 50,000. The exact amounts are mostly obscured by a large black tattoo that covers most of his left arm (down to his wrist, including the back of his hand), also handily obscuring a number of other burns and scars. His chest has a number of scars across it, some looking more grievous than others. A couple of smudges across his chest appear like they were once tatoos of some sort, but later ruined by some sort of inking or injury. One in particular seemed burned into the skin, but is now disfigured by a large and painful-looking stab wound scar near his heart.

Biography: Blues was born Alcor Septrius to a family in Scorpio, alongside his twin brother Mizar. The Septrius family became a large one- including Mizar and their elder brother Alkaid, Blues had seven siblings. The problems with this were rather self-evident; while to begin with, the Septrius family had a small fortune of a sort, it was quickly whittled to a significant debt after a decade or so of their parent's compulsive gambling habits. With barely enough to feed the family, both their parents ended up borrowing from (and eventually reneging on debts to) a variety of unlawful persons within the city. When the various moneylending mafias and gangs lost interest in the couple, they were quickly killed and the issue swept under the carpet. The question of what would happen to their eight children went unanswered- the government was less than no help, and nobody even wanted to admit that something illegal had taken place. You simply didn't talk about gang deals, you see- so long as the rich people could keep gambling, nobody really cared about the poor residents.

Alkaid was particularly grief-stricken by the incident, and over a short month, went mad. He charged into the base of the man he believed to be the killer of his parents, wired to a number of explosives; nobody walked out of the room alive. Alcor and Mizar suddenly found themselves responsible for the lives of five children when they weren't even 18.

Alcor approached this in a way that made sense to him at the time- the same way anyone else made money in Scorpio: Gambling. He learned to cheat, and he was very good at it- though not perfect. He made money, enough to feed his family and more than his brother, but he paid for it with his health and wellbeing- often, he was threatened by gangs or leaders. Occasionally, he was forced to take loans from him, for which they would burn numbers into his shoulder to remind him of his debts. Though he always paid back what he owed, he occasionally took too long, or simply annoyed the wrong person and was hurt for it- he learned to fight quickly, and he learned to survive even better. Above all, he fought to keep himself and his loved ones from death, just above the maw of poverty. This went on for a good few years.

And then, one day, he ran away.

He wasn't sure he ever planned it, but the idea had festered in the cowardly part of his mind. Scorpio was a rathole. For as long as he lived there, there would be nothing but starvation, pain and corruption in his future- he needed to get away. Even if that meant leaving his family, leaving the people he lived for to fend for themselves. Betraying his own twin brother by not even telling them of their plans- leaving them to assume the worst, that he'd been killed. He was too much of a coward to leave a letter.

He simply picked up all he owned, and moved to Allegretto. He took on a new name (more out of shame than out of hiding), and started a new life. A little out of guilt, and a little more because he didn't want to see anyone suffer as he had, he quickly became known as a champion of the poor and the forgotten- for the smaller gangs that lived in this country, he was a demon that fought to protect all innocents, yet wholely unaffiliated with the royal guards. He tried to make a difference.

But time wore on. Life happened. Blues saw people in suffering and starvation no matter what he did. People profited from violence, people profited from evil itself. Really wasn't anything he could do about it. In some ways, even his own betrayal was inevitable- that's just how humans were. Flawed, terrible beings. When, in a fight, he was harmed by a fire Esper and his eyes nearly blinded, he took that as a sign to settle down and drink. While his retinas mostly healed, (though blurry, with his irises scraped off entirely), his heart never really did. He sat down at one end of a bar and really, never left.

Only thing left is to drink.
Name: Mizar Septrius

Age: 34

Gender: Male

Birthdate: February 14

Affinity: Fire

Country of Birth: Zodiacis

City/Village of birth: Scorpio

Personality: Mizar is strict and proactive, a man with a goal and a plan. In many ways, he is an idealist- he believes that humanity can become a stronger race, though only if we crack down hard enough on chaos and disorder. In others, he is a jaded cynicist- he knows first hand how cowardly and vile humans tend to act, and he believes its our duty to defend others from those instincts. He believes in law and due process, and is always the first one to advocate doing things the proper way, by the book. Civilization and law is what separates humanity from animalistic cruelty, and those who try to bend that law are the ones who draw chaos in.

Mizar takes things very seriously, and is often seen a workaholic. Seeing him relax is a pretty rare sight, even among friends- the man always seems to be on duty, even if he isn't. That said, he always comes off as a certain degree of genuine- even amidst the usual soldier decorum and civility, he has a sort of sincerity and enthusiasm about him that stops him from appearing robotic. Mizar really believes that he is doing the right thing, which allows him to enjoy even the more tedious aspects of his job- the only thing he actively resents is fencing with political figures, given his dislike of snake-tongued individuals. Most people tend to like Mizar after spending time with him, which gives him a natural leadership potential- almost solely because of this, Mizar has found himself in a rather high position within his country's military, giving orders from the palace itself.

Mizar's focus on the bigger picture does on occasion lend itself to him forgetting about the smaller things, however. He tends to gloss over individuals if they aren't nearby him, which can lead to him making decisions more impartially than they need to be. While it still hasn't happened quite yet, his mindset threatens to turn to "the greater good" as an explanation for the abandonment of the very people he's always wanted to help.

Espers:

Fireguard a: Mizar summons a ring of fire from around his feet, which moves along with him and flares up as enemies approach. The fire is explosive, and can toss small enemies away if they aren't expecting the force to repel them. The spell can be cast upon someone other than Mizar, but not simultaneously on more than one person.

Fireguard b: Mizar summons a broad wall of white-hot flames in a broad circle. The flames soar to the incredible height of a hundred meters at maximum, and burn at temperatures well beyond even the most tenacious of men's tolerations- without some exceptional method of escape, the walls present an indomitable barrier. Unfortunately, Mizar must remain within the circle in order to cast and sustain it, thereby allowing the opponent to possibly kill him to dispatch his spell. Mizar can focus on other things while keeping Fireguard b in play, and can in fact activate other Espers, so long as they are not particularly mentally taxing.

Weapon(s): Mizar uses four shortswords simultaneously, which he keeps sheathed across his back as well as on either side of his waist. Collectively, the swords are known as the Guardian Stars, and are built with a strange shape almost like that of a key- a large strip of metal is missing from the center of each, as well as the tooth of one side for all of them in some pattern. The hilts are likewise notched, allowing each of the swords to be connected to eachother in order to form a larger whole- Mizar can do this in heat of battle and within seconds of each strike, adding a large amount of unpredictability to each of his strikes and a highly dangerous amount of length to all of his attacks.

The swords are each charged with a small Netherstone that gives them magnetic qualities, allowing them to balance perfectly on eachother with no issue. Likewise, they emit an odourless liquid that keeps them lubricated and burns impressively when exposed to fire- the swords become flaming weapons quite easily.

When combined into a single blade, the magnetism within the sword reaches a different height enitrely, and allows Mizar to move small bits of metal or deflect swords with a single gesture.

Appearance: Mizar is a larger man, standing at about 6'4with a slender body type built with military muscle. His complexion is a slightly peaky olive, matching his short, sandy-blond hair rather well. He has a slight, triangular jaw with soft features and broad, icy-blue eyes that can easily startle people. While not exactly dainty, Mizar has what one might consider a nobleman's body- thin, though with a very slight layer of luxury fat providing toning, and very specialized and cultivated muscle growth. He is almost never seen without a full suit of shining armor- polished silver or steel depending on the situation, a good set that compromises both visual integrity with combat worthiness in order to make a point. He wears the tabard or cape of the royal family in most circumstances, donning their colors in full during specific meetings or public showings- otherwise, he makes due with his usual fineries, plus perhaps a badge or the like.

When not wearing his armor, Mizar somewhat awkwardly wears a pair of cloth trousers and a white, sleeveless shirt mostly devoid of personality. He seems rather jittery outside of his uniform, which lends it rather happy that he is technically on duty for almost all time ever. Even without his armor, however, Mizar projects that sort of regal radiance- simply by being around him, you know he is the type of person to take charge during any period of instability.

Mizar's body is rather devoid of marks, aside from very slight scars from practise accidents or scuffles. He has a long white line across his chest, which stands out against his sculpted muscles; but one might be more inclined to notice the strange tattoo on his left bicep- a circle of small black notches, seven in total, going around his arm.

Biography: Mizar Septrius was born to a family in Scorpio, alongside his twin brother Alcor. The Septrius family became a large one- including Alcor and their elder brother Alkaid, Mizar had seven siblings.

Mizar and Alcor suddenly found themselves responsible for the lives of five children when they weren't even 18.

Mizar approached this in a way his parents had never thought to- legally. He took a variety of odd-jobs around the city, few paying very much for long hours but all for fairly reputable sources in a less-than-reputable city. Though he had scuffles now and then, he largely managed to keep his nose clean and out of the shady business in the town- more often than not, however, he found himself fighting off creditors coming on behalf of his twin brother. Mizar and Alcor fought often about the differences in their work- while Alcor brought trouble on them by dealing with the same life their parents had died to, he made most of the money. Mizar's efforts, while safer, took more time, more effort and got less reward than his twin did, and to a certain degree Mizar resented his twin for that. Alcor made things he sweat to the bone for look easy; why should he get rewarded for selling his morals?

When Alcor disappeared, Mizar tried not to be disappointed. He lost himself in his work, just barely managing to make enough to cover his entire family's expenses when they also pitched in- but fortunately, a few years later, he was scouted by a local officer that had been in the area. After being made a cadet of the Zodiacis army, he was able to afford to move his family to a better place- Sagittarius, the capitol, and the nexus of the Royal Guard's activities. Over the years he served in the armies, and through his dedication, managed to rise through the ranks to Major Sergeant of the Royal Guard- commander of half of the military personel in the capitol city, and responsible for the safety of the Nobles themselves, though still subservient to the High Commander.
Name: Ichirou Shichiko / Dubhe Septrius

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Birthdate: July 7

Affinity: N/A

Country of Birth: Zodiacis

City/Village of birth: Scorpio

Personality: Dubhe is a driven young man, to an almost ludicrous degree. While it might not be obvious when talking to him, he is willing to go to any extents to succeed at something he has put his mind to- even if base logic says otherwise. He is not easily discouraged, and seems to have a very poor understanding of his own limits, which frequently gets him into trouble.

In conversation, however, he is silent more often than not, choosing to listen more than speak. He enjoys people-watching, and is always interested in the affairs of others; these traits tend to make him an excellent confidant, and indeed, Dubhe has prided himself on never revealing the secret of a friend to others. Despite being generally well-meaning and kind, he has a slight mischievousness streak that tends to make life difficult for others- due to his apparent air of maturity, people never suspect him to scheme the things that he does. The very fact that he is overlooked tends to encourage Dubhe to try to liven up his surroundings, especially when it involves his friends- some have remarked that it's amazing how much trouble one gets into, simply by being around Dubhe.

Dubhe takes promises exceptionally seriously, and will often put his amazing dedication to use in trying to keep them. Even casual promises are not exempt from this rule- of course, controversely, this means that Dubhe doesn't make many promises in the first place, except to himself. Promises that he needs to keep to himself make up the bulk of of his reasons to drive himself far past the normal level of dedication.

Espers: N/A

Weapons: To make up for his lack of Weaving skill, Dubhe carries a large number of blades, most of which built with Nether Gem functions to help replicate the powers that he lacks.

- Byakko is the first sword, a highly curved long backsword that resembles the crescent moon. Byakko is made of white-silver metal and has a very thin t-hilt; when viewed from afar, it resembles a longbow. Byakko respresents the metal element, and crackles with electricity when used- likewise, it can absorb and redirect existing lightning. Dubhe's fighting style when using the blade is far more dancelike than his usual stance, and involves hooking and moving the opponent's weapon using its natural length and curve to its advantage. Suzaku is sheathed in a lightly embroidered black silk sheath, kept at Dubhe's side.

- Suzaku is the second sword, which really resembles more of a smaller spear or naginata than anything else. Instead of a hilt, the weapon bares a long wooden rod to be held, and a thick claymore-type blade atop it. Suzaku's enchantments imbue it with the ability to burst into flame and absorb both fire and heat- Dubhe is largely fireproof as long as he keeps a firm grip on the sword, and does not run out of nether gems. Dubhe takes a hunter's position using Suzaku, firing quick, deadly shots at the opponent through perceived gaps in their defences. Suzaku is kept in a ruby sheath across Dubhe's back.

- Seiryu is the third sword, which resembles a rippled serpant-blade. Seiryu is short, but its strange shape allows it to easily break through armor by sawing motion. Unlike the other swords, Seiryu does not correspond to a Weaver Alignment- instead it grants the user the favor of plants, allowing them to bend vegetation to their will to a certain extent by hitting the side of the blade and causing the bellike ringing to come out. This allows them to force a tree to move its branches, or a bud to open and bloom on demand. The blade itself is highly poisonous to humans, making it a more dangerous prospect than some of the other swords. Seiryu is kept in a thick blue triangular sheath tucked by Dubhe's left side.

- Genbu is the fourth sword, which is a black single-side longblade providing a large hand-shell, a long tassel-chain ending in a small spike falling from the bottom. Genbu is enchanted to allow its wielder to stand on water, as well as direct water to do their bidding to a short extent; most importantly, it is capable of absorbing water within itself. Genbu allows Dubhe to use his normal swordfighting style to a large extent- violent and unpredictable, throwing everything they have against the enemy in order to see what sticks. Genbu's magic expends water sealed within the sword in order to form a shield of steam around the user's skin, allowing them to be more reckless with their techniques than usual. Genbu is kept within a shiny, but plain, sheath tucked by Dubhe's left side.

- Ouryu is Dubhe's newest and most dangerous sword. Appearing only as an inconspicous golden sheath with an embedded diamond and a strangely large hilt, the sword itself only manifests when drawn, out of pure energy provided by Nether Gems. Ouryu burns through all availible facets when it manifests in order to satisfy its monstrous energy requirements, and can draw power from the other swords to do so- to a certain point, it even feeds on Dubhe's inner power, making him increasingly tired the longer it is drawn. Ouryu ranges from the size of a regular longsword to a massive greatsword -to an upwards of ten feet tall!- depending on the demands it is given at a time, though a quirk of the weapon causes it to gradually grow bigger the larger it is unsheathed. The sword is infinitely sharp, and can cut through almost literally anything -one of its nicknames is 'the Diamond Cutting Blade', or Adamantbane. It associates with the energy of earth, and can easily absorb Espers of that domain- and indeed, it does so voraciously. The larger it grows, the more hungry it looks for power- at a certain size, while it may became difficult for Dubhe to wield, it also starts taking energy from all kinds of Espers in order to sustain itself. While dangerous, this is a technique Dubhe uses to his advantage.

Appearance: Dubhe stands at about 5'8, and has a rounded, mostly plain face. His eyes are rather dark and his jawline is not particularly strong, giving him an almost feminine look to him at times. When not in combat, he tends to wear a pair of spectacles- necessary for him to read, but not really for any other particular reason. The glasses are attached by a chain to the collar of his shirt, and are kept in a pocket sewed right into it.

His hair is a dark raven and worn slightly long, down almost to his shoulders; he leaves it free and doesn't bother to tie it back. One of his bangs is conspicuously longer than the other and frames part of his face; the other bang was apparently cut off. His bodytype is sturdy, though slender, and his skin is particularly light for his heritage- few people would be able to pin him as a Zodiaciain, and even fewer could tell that he is related to the Septrius family. Few people have difficulty believing he is from Nihonshin, which is further added to by his clothing.

Dubhe wears formal vestments of Nihonshin, including a pair of black hakama. He wears a black vest above that, which is longer than normal but still reveals his mostly bare chest. A traditional emblem for dedication has been painted on his pectorals, which is fairly easy to see at all times- he does not wear any sort of armor, though he does carry a number of bags with him (mostly containing Nether Gems and such).

Biography: The youngest of the Septrius family, Dubhe was but a baby for most of his life in Scorpio, and more remembers his life being raised in Sagittarius City. Having never known his parents, Dubhe saw his older brother Mizar as his father figure, and largely followed in his footsteps by aiming to become a Guardsman. Though Dubhe had exceptional talent with a blade, far outstripping Mizar's own abilities, he had no affinity for Esper Weaving at all- in fact, he was incapable of creating magic at all. While that limited his usefulness to a sad degree, he decided to make up for it by doubling up on his swordsmanship skill- and indeed, he did. The victor of several young championships, Dubhe climbed the ladder on the back of his skill -at one point, considered possibly the most skilled bladesman of Sagittarius- and his brother's recommendatory, eventually becoming a Royal Guard at a rather young age. While Dubhe didn't really have any goals, he did have conviction and drive to spare- and, for lack of of a better thing to do, he put those towards his job. He didn't really have anything to protect, but heck, Royal Guards were some of the most respected people in all of Zodiacis- surely he'd find something to live for there.

And, of course, he did- he just didn't expect it to be a person.

Princess Artemis was the most beautiful girl he'd seen in his life- which was, of course, to be expected. Nobility and all. He tried to get his mind off of it, but his job brought him in frequent eyesight of her- even if they never actually exchanged words. Somewhat curious, he managed to get himself assigned to her side more often, and even -though it was against protocol- exchange a few words semi-often. He doubted she knew his name, but as the days past he became more enamoured with her- while it might have been infatuation at first, he eventually knew it was love.

Mizar heavily disagreed with that. Knowing it wasn't quite appropriate to have one of the princess' own guards fauning over her, he had his younger brother assigned to an ambassadorial mission in Nihonshin, where he could focus on his swordplay and work rather than fancying a girl that was out of ninety-nine percent of the population's league. Dubhe knew this- and he also knew he simply couldn't forget about her. Therefore, as he trained and integrated himself with a foreign country, he also secretly developed his plan to earn the princess' hand. A process momentarily distracted when he was brought back to Zodiacis- to witness the crowning of the new Queen.

The youngest Queen in Zodiacis history. Dubhe knew that she was a faraway dream- but he had also made a promise to himself, and his heart. He'd win the hand of now-Queen Artemis- and he'd do it by bringing a wedding gift she couldn't deny.

The Pitch-Black Sword.

Dubhe knew swords. He knew what he had to do. He quit the guard without telling his brother, and left the city soon after- leaving behind only a letter he wrote to the Queen addressing what he intended to do, and including a lock of his hair, cut to symbolize his journey. Taking up a pseudo identity as a Nihonshin traveller, he crossed the map searching for clues about the blade- and never once did he consider giving up.

Name: Rin Nyutoraru

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Birthdate: January 13

Affinity: Void (Time-Space Dimension Manipulation)

Country of Birth: Nihonshin

City/Village of birth: Mizuchiha

Personality

Rin's personality depends on whether he's just normal, or rather in his Battle Forme. Normally though, Rin is kind, and happy to be just a "regular Esper", helping people out. However, Rin can be seen sometimes troubled, and has some 'bad' moments, when he starts getting over emotional (thinking about some overly sad things, etc). Rin used to be seen wandering around Mizuchiha, enjoying all the life and feeling of goodness in the air with his parents, smiling and bouncing around happily. However, after his parents died horribly, Rin has utterly changed, and fled, although rumors existed that he retreated to Kakure, a forbidding forest, that seems to have a thick air of malice hanging around it, which makes everyone avoid it, except the rumored-to-be monstrous creatures that dwell there natively. When Rin changes into his 'Battle Forme', he becomes more malicious, and uncaring for people's lives, and has a utterly pragmatic approach to life that would shock everyone he once knew. Indeed, even his normal self has become affected, and Rin can no longer be seen smiling, but rather has a constant almost resigned, yet unhappy face.

Espers

Jiku Doreiku: Creates a barrier that Rin can manipulate the shape of, although it's largest volume he can make it as of yet it is 400 ft3, and if he makes it that wide, it becomes incredibly thin and fragile. The smaller, the stronger. Once the barrier is created, he can start to manipulate Time or Space inside the barrier form (but only 1 at a time), although this requires tremendous focus, and energy. If Rin is interrupted enough to lose his focus, the energy he used so far drains double from him. Rin only uses this when he is sure he can handle other threats first, because even the slightest break in concentration can be devastating. However, if it is successful, Time or Space loses all control inside the barrier, and Rin can do literally anything with Time or Space in the barrier. However, being so young, and the magics so powerful, at the maximum time, Rim can only maintain the spell 2 minutes after starting to cast, leaving him with about only a minute to affect Time or Space. If Rin tries to keep the magic up after the 2 minutes, the type of magic he used will start to affect his own body in random places randomly, which could easily be fatal. Also, when he has around 10 seconds left, the barrier starts to waver, and crack. This is mainly a offensive, defensive or assistive spell, allowing him to rip the enemy apart, teleport, move the enemy, move objects, or to confuse the enemy to finish with an attack, or to make a hasty escape. However, with every average powerful hit Rin makes, or powerful change he creates (anything that would affect a life [teleporting from danger, confusing enemy to attack, etc]), they reduce the remaining time (of the 2 minutes) by 10 seconds. However, this being such a tremendously game-changing Esper, the Esper drains a stunning amount of energy. Rin only uses this if he has to, because overextending can easily lead to passing out, or dying.

Jiku Reza: One of his typical every day fighting helpers, Rin forms a small sphere of energy between his fingers, in which Time and Space are strangely manipulated, and expands the sphere. Once the sphere reaches a size a bit smaller than a baseball, it starts to tear things around it apart, from the utter emptiness formed inside, where nothing can form. A small laser fires from the center out, and rapidly expands into a cannon-blast sort of energy beam. The beam is a weird monstrosity, of a gray colored beam, surrounded by a larger purplish, red, and blue-white streaks of Chaos swarming around the beam, forming a beam that can become as thick as a double-handed sword's grip is tall. The cannon-blast's size depends on the size of the orb, and how much energy Rin expends to use it. Rin could make a minor one, that would serve more as of a distraction, forming a miniscule sphere, with a thin beam of light shooting out for a few seconds, not requiring virtually any energy. He could also make a beam that could destroy major buildings like nothing, although something like this would create a obvious shine, and a dome of light around Rin, focusing for around a few dozen seconds to prepare the orb, then to hold and keep firing the beam would mean around another 10-20 seconds, in all time he is vulnerable to wherever he doesn't face, as it takes energy and time (ironically) to swing the laser around, which by that time, the person could've dodged. The beam's power also requires on Rin, and in a weakened state, it could kill him, if he goes overboard. The beam's maximum massive power also uses his blood for part of its energy, so this particular move literally drains his life. If Rin uses it full-power, multiple times, or when tired (or any combination), blood can be seen dripping from Rin's hands, and leaking out sometimes from his eyes.

Weapons

Right arm gauntlet/claw: http://play-and-fun....less-fist02.png The left claw, arm, everything, but on Rin's right arm. The massive blade on the back of the hand can be used for reverse slashes, and serves as a miniature sword. The flames from it taint anything they touch, burning and eating away, although the fire disappears after a few seconds. However, the fire still leaves painful burns, helping hinder movement. If he points all his fingers together, then he can form the Jiku Reza at the tip of his fingers. Through the Nether Gems embedded at the sides, he can use his mind to launch the gauntlet as if shot from a rocket, attached to a cord of grey energy back to his hand. The more plain arm on Raven's right is on Rin's left, but instead of the crossing fabric, the bottom side is smooth titanium-reinforced alloy. When not in use, the gauntlets melt into Rin's skin, leaving a tattoo like pattern on his arms. When activated, they melt out of the skin into a gas, which morphs into the correct shapes and solidifies. The sharp edges of the gauntlets are as sharp as his sword, and the entire gauntlet is just as durable. The gauntlet's color scheme is all very subdued, in shades of grey, black, white, and silver. Also, in times of desperation, Rin can launch his fist like a rocket, connected by a gray cord back to his hand. If the cord is cut, then Rin has to reattach the gauntlet and wait for the cord tissues to sew themselves back together.

Sword: http://img.applesfer...inityblade3.jpg The Infinity Blade, but glowing with a purple/red/blue/white mixed swirling hue, and the blade is a grey-ish color rather than whitish. Rin is amazingly adept at the usage of swords, considering his birthplace and such. After he obtained the blade, he just changed his skills a little bit to match a sword like this. The blade flies silently, aiding in hiding, and strikes true, its Nether Gem blade enhanced with powers, although they decrease through use, its blade is sharp enough to cut through diamonds like butter, and will retain that ability until it becomes broken or such. Against weak blades, it can slice right through, although in combat with other normal people or Esper-enhanced people, the blade's edge will become as sharp as a typical steel sword, in order to ensure a more-or-less fair fight. Every thing he bests with the blade through a mysterious magic, refuel the Gem slightly. During a particularly strong moment, he can lash out with the blade, and a shockwave flies off of it fast at the enemy. Rin can also unwind the rope wrapped around the blade's handle to swing the blade around as if by a whip, and can control distances by pulling the rope in or lashing back out with it. The maximum reach with this is around 5 feet. If the rope is severed, then Rin loses control of the blade. Normally, this blade is hidden behind his back, with the handle pointing left and the blade face-down. When not in use, the blade folds in itself to become the size of a small knife.

Hidden blades: In an Altair-esque fashion, Rin has 4 blades hidden in each arm, around it, and he can trigger the nearly foot-long blade to fly out of the handle with his mind and small Nether Gems embedded in the base of each. If he wishes to, Rin can shoot the blades as like a bullet, but then he will have to manually add in another blade in the spots that are missing. However, as with his detachable hand, he can lash the blades out, in a flurry of metal.

***With all of Rin's weapons, anything powered by a "magic" sort of type can only be used as long as the Nether Gems still have power left. Otherwise, they become ordinary weapons of steel, although they recharge slowly by themselves. The energy recovered from destroying something (conscious in a way, zombies, monsters, etc) is 1/100 of the total energy needed. Otherwise, the weapons take around 12 hours to recharge from fully empty to fully charged, if they weren't used during that period. The unique Nether Gems draw power from the Sun and Moon. Depending on which, interesting differences can occur (tints of color in weapons, etc)***

Voice Actor (English): Haley Joel Osment (Vanitas voice)

Voice Actor (Japanese): Miyu Irino (Vanitas voice)

Appearance

Rin has black hair, with silver streaks in some places, and overall, his face is sturdy and slightly chiseled, although they retain some youthfulness from when he was younger. His eyes are a strange black (left) and silvery (right). A thin scar can be seen across his left cheek. Rin has tan skin, nice and healthy, except for some burns, scars and others of the sort. His chest has several old scars from his childhood along with his back. Rin is strong and has decent muscles, but is more of a lithe person, dodging and weaving around, because his scars have completely healed, and he is not the strong, brute type. His left ear has a small swirling stud of the Earth that rotates. He is usually seen, when he is rarely, and even more rarely in his regular form, in a plain grey shirt, slightly covered by a unzipped jacket with white and black swirls all around, and patches of grey. Rin is usually wearing jeans if he is seen at that time. However, if Rin appears in his battle form, the clothes melt away to a tight-fitting grey shirt and pants, completely encompassed by a gray cloak with the hood up. If someone catches a glimpse of the face, it is covered by a mask of an oval-ish Ying-Yang shape, with hidden openings for the eyes, which have faded to a clear-ish color. One thing to be noted is both of Rin's hands in this state are normal, with a white glove on the left, and black on the right, unless his weapons are activated.

Biography

Rin was a happy child just like everyone else, but he had unique Esper powers, which he had fun with before he grew up, calling animals over, and growing plants, which disappeared when he became 12. His parents loved him, and brought him to have fun all around Mizuchiha, with softly drifting petals, which he enjoyed immensely. He helped his friends, and they helped him, and all around, it was a wonderful time. Alas, it was not to be. During one silent night after his parents tucked him in, with young 12-year old Rin sleeping soundly, and the parents sleeping as well, under the covers of darkness, they crept in silently, and brutally massacred his parents, who died silently. They were just about to do the same to the child, when they noticed something weird. The second they got close to Rin, they started aging unnaturally fast, and they couldn't touch him, and they were shocked, because the intel they had received said nothing about powers of Time, when the very Space around them warped, tearing them apart. Rin woke up to the horrible sight of his parents laying on the floor, dried blood all around them, but noticed the bodies of some petty criminals, with blood on their blades, and wondered. But his parents, his wonderful parents who cared for him 12 long years, and had happy times together were dead. Rin clenched his fist and screamed out in anguish, not noticing what he did. He grieved over his parents, when he noticed the room was suddenly bright, and felt a gust of wind. He looked around to see the whole house in shreds, dissolving into dust as he stared. Rin realized what he had done, and went over to a young sapling and focused, when he saw it age into a full-grown tree. He went over to a small pebble and thought, and it vanished, and reappeared in the air, 10 feet above him. Although his discoveries were tainted with grief, he felt awed at the tremendous power he had, when he saw that the guards had also noticed, and tried to capture him, when Rin broke free, and ran off into the woods, he later realized were not the mild ones, but the rumored to be evil Kakure Forests. Too late, as he stepped in, he immediately knew something was wrong, but couldn't stop it, and blacked out. When Rin woke up, he called for his parents, before he realized what had happened. He thought still, at a young age, that the criminals were the bad guys, but the guards didn't help him either, and resolved not to help or be either. With this choice, he felt his arms getting heavy, and saw a heavy claw formed from his right arm, and a casing around the left, and panicked. Immediately, the gauntlets dissolved into a mist which soaked into his arms. Heavily breathing, he tried to form them again, and tested fighting with it, against a tree, and swung the gauntlet. Not feeling any resistance, he was curious, until he saw the tree cut so cleanly, it had stuck for a second, before falling in pieces to the ground. And so Rin practiced this fighting, and learned techniques, through a voice in his head. Rin survived for the next 2 years, living off the forest, gradually noticing changes, such as a rudimentary cloak forming around him sometimes. At 14, he left the forest quietly, and obtained some weapons. After that, the now teenager had the feel for Nether Gem enhanced weapons, and how much energy the Gems had left. Eventually, after he returned to his 'haven', he practiced more, with his 'voice' as a guide. At 15, the voice left his body, and became a glob of intelligent "something", which followed him around, becoming close to Rin, and more like a close friend than a pet or guide after a few months. After this, Rin left the Kakure Forests, and started to wander around, helping people sometimes, and just living, without really a side to fight for. If he can detect someone looking for him, with his spatial abilities, he can easily disappear. As of now, he is said to be somewhere in Allegretto, although no one can catch him. Rin's alliance is neutral, and he will help any side he feels is in his best interest.
Name: Nikkō Kagami (Literally "Sunlight Mirror" or "Mirrored Sunlight")(Traditional Japanese positioning. Kagami is the first name)

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Birthdate: 21st June

Affinity: Sun/Light

Country of Birth: Nihonshin

City/Village of birth: A small, unnamed village.

Personality: Kagami is initially a friendly and relaxed fellow with a very open-mind to many different options through-out life, though he will most often choose the path of least effort or resistance. He is a rather lax individual with a thing for procrastination and rest, and despite a slight insomnia, he loves to rest and attempt to sleep. This can often give him a reputation for negligence and tardiness.

With a job as a 'for-hire rogue', they reputation for carefree-ness can often leave him without a job, and despite his ability to suceed with any given job - be it Assassination, Theft or merely spying - his procrastination can delay the success, and ultimately put off future employers.

As he is usually found as an Assassin for hire, he has a some-what dark half of his personality, hidden beneath the lazy, cheerful, slightly alcoholic exterior. He has seen a lot of gruesome images in his day, many more than the normal human would be able to stand without going insane - some caused by others, some even caused by himself - and as such his mind has been hardened and it is difficult for him to show sincere emotion.

His cold side will rarely come out when not 'working', and even when it does, it is rarely more than an almost emotionally dead state, where the only emotions he show will be either cocky and/or sadistic humour or lazy indifference.

His hobbies include drinking in local pubs and bars, womanizing(Though this isn't always sucessful) or sitting around either watching the skies or reading a book. He spends a lot of time travelling, and has visited all the Eastern countries, taking much culture from each country. His varied experiences and a mix of all the cultures have, although given him wisdom, it also makes him seem slightly strange in different countries.

(Slight WIP. I may add some more later when the inspiration comes to me.)

Espers: Mirror's light - Timed Illusion: Kagami stores Esper in the small gems along the blade of his sword, and then swings the blade at a certain angle at which natural light in the area reflects off of the blade. When this light blinds an opponent, it corrupts their perception of the flow of time, slowing them down up to a point at which a minute may feel like a second, allowing Kagami to almost teleport when attacking with this technique.

Quintet of Mirrors - Circle of Glittering Blades: By releasing concentrated Esper from the crystals on Kagami's sword while moving the blade, up to 5 ethereal blades of light may be produced from the blade and follow the path of the sword as if attached by a chain. This blades can be retracted back into the sword when the sword collides with an object, so as to increase the force of the blade, or can be dettached from the 'chains' and fired as projectiles towards the opponent, where they mostly act to inhibit the movements of a victim.

Weapon(s): Mirāejji (Mirror's edge): A single edged, thin, 5 shaku long Katana built with a highly reflective blade that is inlaid with small nether gems. These are necessary for the majority of Kagami's Esper techniques, and can also increase the reflective capability of the blade, allowing Kagami to momentarily blind his opponents during battle.

Miraejji is sheathed in a grey sheath slung over Kagami's right shoulder. It's black hilt is wrapped in a golden ribbon that flows from the hilt for a foot, which - when fighting - is wrapped around Kagami's hand to avoid losing the blade, due to its vitality in his techniques.

Also, various assassination-based weaponry, such as throwing daggers, and occasionally(When the need arises) a simple Bow, along with a quiver full of arrows. He also holds a specially designed assassination dagger which is his most used weapon. It is commonly used for slitting throats, though he is an expert in hand-to-hand and small arms combat, which allows him to use it well in a frontal fight.

Assassination Dagger

He can also weild virtually any weapon well, be it melee or ranged, and is an experienced tactition/strategist. Despite his slackness and negligence, he is a dangerous foe, and not to be reckoned with.

Biography: Kagami is a traveller by nature; it's in his blood. Even his birth was in the middle of a trip across Nihonshin, the country of his father's birth. His parents were hermits, moving from one settlement to another, getting by on the gifts of nature; travelling and searching for rarities were their aims. Little money was carried, non-necessities were discarded. A simple and peaceful life. The pregnancy of Kagami's mother was unanticipated, but was not without excitement. It slowed down the travelling, and gave the family a new goal. Find somewhere safe for the labour.

The village they found - a small one that Kagami never learnt the name of(and never found again) - was the perfect place for the birth. They had a very experienced mid-wife, a talented medicine-man and had a plentiful supply of useful herbs, along with happy and well-meaning villagers who were more than happy to help the family. The birth went fine and the baby boy was born large and healthy, a wonderful example of a perfect birth. He was a slightly unusual baby, but the strange quiet nor the large difference from either parent was seen as a hidden blessing, a symbol of future glory and power, alongside the good omen of being born on the summer solstice.

The family departed from the village not three months after the child's birth, and were seen off by the entire village. They left to journey around the rest of Nihonshin, a third companion joining them on their quest for rare items.

Growing up in an environment like that - constantly on the move, his only companions being his parents - he gained their desire for adventure and their pursuit of legends.

He lived in peace with this peace-filled family for many years, being taught the ways to survive and take care of himself from his father, and the preparation of a 'home' and how to keep himself healthy from his mother. Although he was never taught anything about mathematics or science, and only the bare minimum of writing/reading, he was taught much more about necessities of life, such as the ability to fire a bow at 5, or skin a deer at 7.

He lived this life quite nice and casually for 14 years, travelling the 3 eastern countries in search of mysterious artefacts (never crossing the mana chasm). This peaceful life was gone though, on his 14th birthday.

They were travelling near a large town, not notable enough for him to remember the name of, but the event was memorable enough. The sun was dull, blocked by a large group of comfortingly white clouds, though by the end of the day they had been replaced with near-black storm clouds. 'The calm before the storm', is the way he remembers it.

They had just entered the realm of Arcadia, and the atmosphere seemed friendly enough. It was a busy marketplace, with plenty of store-merchants advertising their wares. The language had seemed rough at first, but it wasn't entirely different from his own, though some of the dialect varied, and the accent was tough and brittle. One particular man had been selling charms in the form of jewellery and scrolls, supposedly able to ward of nightmares and black magic. He remembers himself scoffing at this, and receiving a sharp glare for a moment or two.

They had ventured into the town to buy some cloth and a map of the area, for they hadn't set foot on Arcadian soil for many years, despite it being the birthplace of his mother. And their tent had been damaged in violent winds the previous night, which had upturned a few trees, and causing many pointed branches to fly around, ripping the tent many times.

Anyway, they had been there a couple of hours, and were getting ready to leave, when a group of what seemed to be scouts rushed through the gates hurriedly, not stopping for the guards, without saying a word; though the expression on their faces was one of great worry. Many were starting to gather around the scouts, and as the scouts entered the main keep, leaping off their horses, a giant boulder crashed into the town from outside the walls. In the middle of the ensuing panic, Kagami was split from his parents and was lost in the chaos of the next few minutes, with the crowds panicking and boulders flying from the sky. An attack.

It was about half an hour before he found his parents, and all he found was his father's torso and some of his father's equipment, primarily the map and his father's best sword.

So, yeah. At 14, this guy was left parentless, in a strange city that was in near ruin, with nothing but a map, a sword and very few supplies, with no aim but that left behind by his parents; to pursue rare items.

Which he has been doing ever since. Alongside jobs such as assassination and theft, he has been searching for many artefacts, and has found one or two to sell. However, he is much more famed for his assassinations, and is a highly wanted man in many countries. His latest goal is to find the Pitch-Black sword, for it is considered the ultimate artefact, and would bring him much power and probably quite a bit of peace aswell. He has travelled all across the eastern side of the mana chasm searching for the two pieces of the Pitch-black sword, but is guessing that atleast one will be on the other side. As such, he has travelled to Allegretto in order to catch a boat across the Mana Chasm and search for the pieces.

(Yeah, kinda rushed at the end. Sorry. If you want me to fix it up a bit, I'll try.)

I can tell a lot of time and effort was put into the story line. Kudos to you on my behalf. I'll be joining.

Even at this age, it's still an unstable power to him.

son_of_skyrim_by_kaio89-d3eo8bo.jpg

Why?"

NOTES:

It's still a work in progress, but this is most of it. More side notes on the character will be made later on, if needed. But this is the majority of the character, so you know what to base your judgement off of.

  1. The Vulon Family Sword's origin's and story is currently unknown to Kozah, so there is a possibility that the sword raises his ability to control his Esper, but not solid evidence is given, just a hypothesis.
  2. The name is based off of Language of the Dragons from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It's meaning, if I wrote it correctly, is "In-finite Night"; Ko (In) - zah (Finite) Vulon (Night). And his character is also based off of Skyrim as well. xD
  3. Since there is a 5000 year advancement from who knows what time period the RP began, I assume there at least is some form of technological advancement. The mechanics I mentioned earlier I simple inventions, like an automatic reloading crossbow for example. Nothing as advanced as a modern-day gun. And since he is a smith of sorts, it makes the most sense. A mage isn't going to have mechanics (lest it be pseudo-science wizardry or whatnot), am I right?

That's it. I'm done. I've been working this app since... I don't know, maybe an hour ago? Two? I've lost track of time to be honest.

I still occasionally read through my apps even after acceptance, to edit any mishaps or whatever. So yeah. I'm done.
Name: Miekka Tuulta / Whisper Viing

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Birthdate: December 21

Affinity: Wind and Metal

Country of Birth: Allegretto

City/Village of birth: Settlement at Black Metal Mountain

Personality: A woman with a foul tongue yet a kind heart, Miekka's words to her don't mean much more than words; a woman of action more or less. She may sometimes hurt others with her words, and she's fully aware of it, so she usually keeps her words to herself when she's around them. Despite the foul tongue, she's a favorable person to be around with, especially if you don't take words seriously. However, most don't get on her bad side, and should they, she'll see them as a lower being, and won't hesitate to point a "wing" at them (get it, cause she has bladed wings, and.. yeah I'll shut up). She's not one to appreciate legends much, she's more on the current events, and what's real and such. She knows Espers are real, the sword she does not. So she does not put much care into the sword legend.

Espers:

  • Tempest - Using the blade wings as a "fan/propeller" of sorts, she generates enough air flow around her, where she can use it to create a "mini-storm"; while this storm is created, she can point her Metal/Lightning Energy to the blades, where they act as a conductor, and generate an electrical current within the tempest.
  • Songs of the Wind - Using her Metal/Lightning power, Miekka can create a sound frequency that can throw off someone's equilibrium, and she uses the wind to "guide" the blades creating the frequencies over to the enemy so they are affected. She can also use the wind to prevent the frequency from reaching her ears.
These bladed wings are under her command, and with her Esper abilities, she is able to manipulate them to surround her entire body as a defense mechanism, to separate them into single blades, or to act as a bunch of side arm blades (i.e. Kozah Vulon's Bloodletter), or both. Although, as originally intended, they are able to be her wings, and allow her to fly. However, if used for other than flying, she can only keep them within a range of six feet.

Biography: Although born in Allegretto, Miekka was originally conceived in Arcadia, where her parents originate and retain their Norsk-like values. During her mother's pregnancy, they traveled from Arcadia to Allegretto, and settled at Black Metal Mountain, where they began a new life out of enjoyment. When Miekka was born, she only grew up to live the life of working in the mines of the Mountain.

At age 14, she grew sick of it. "I HATE IT HERE. NOTHING BUT ROCK AND DIRT. I DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE IN THESE GODSFORAKEN MINES." She wanted freedom, air; she wanted to free herself from the shackles of the Mountain, and to live. When she accumulated enough minerals and refine them into metal, she wanted to make a pair of wings, bladed wings to be precise; but she didn't know where to start, all she had was a picture in her head, and she only held the metal pieces in her hand. It was through constant desire that she decided to throw these pieces away into the wind, where they began to fly, then fall. To her astonishment, she grabbed the pieces again, and this time, concentrated on making the pieces fly again. They flew farther. And farther again. This is where she discovered her Esper power of the Wind.

At age 18, when she was old enough to leave Black Metal Mountain, she decided she needed a new name, so instead of Miekka Tuulta, she named herself Whisper Viing, with the knowledge that Allegretto was a musical orientated land. When she renamed herself, she left Black Metal Mountain, and set out to her originating home land, Arcadia. After many months of travelling, she arrived at one of the major cities, Asgard, where she went to the Smithman (Kozah's father). Through her request, of making a pair of bladed wings, he granted her wish, with a favor to part. "He said that if I find his son, Kozah Vulon, I should tell him that his father misses him." Although she didn't agree to it, she was going to do it anyways, taking her finished wings, and left in a hurry.

She learned of the Pitch Black Sword legend when she was a small child, often being told that it was a legend and nothing more, and that people are foolish for even attempting to find it. Although her reasons for travelling throughout the world are not for the Sword, but for the sake of travelling and being free. If she so happens to find the sword, than she only sees it as a fruition of her travels. "I don't care about some stupid sword from a legend. All I want to do is travel this world that I never thought I would see."

Notes:

  1. Miekka Tuulta is Finnish for "Wind Sword"
  2. Her first name, being Miekka, is her original name, her second name, Whisper Viing, is her pseudonym to fit in more easily with the people in Allegretto.
  3. Probably one of the few, if any, characters that doesn't really care much for the sword, but only cares for travelling.
  4. Yeah, as you can see, Kozah's father is a potential NPC in the RP. Will he have much of an effect in the RP itself? Highly doubt it. Highly. But he might be an NPC nonetheless, if allowable.

Character 2 is currently is FINISHED.

Well I gotta say mate, I'm pretty impressed with this. And you're correct. I took a week to sort through a crapload of different ideas in my head before spending the night typing it up, so thanks for the complement.

As for time period and tech, they have some technology, but not a lot. Elevators, refrigerators, and trains exist, but things like planes, microwaves, and cars don't exist. Guns are there, but in the form of flintlocks and muskets. Also, all the tech they do have is different from our version. Mostly because they run on magic, but I digress.

What I shoulda said to save time was accepted.

The 'voice actor' section gave me the idea of once again making another Shana Clone(go check TV Tropes).

Definitely needs a catchphrase.

Judging from this, everyone's a human, right? No Kyubii no Kitsunes or Griffins or anything?

...

Is 'Non-elemental' an affinity?

Oh right... I'm making an odd character with two souls, is that OK?
Primary colours!

Curved_Sword.jpg

He can also weild virtually any weapon well, be it melee or ranged, and is an experienced tactition/strategist. Despite his slackness and negligence, he is a dangerous foe, and not to be reckoned with.

Voice Actor: N/A
This'll do for the moment. Not exact, but close enough.

AnimeVampireBoyBlond.jpg

Crush: I dont think this is really possible at the moment, and kind of intrudes on the apps of others, but may happen later. I'd love write a fight over a girl for once, if there's people interested in having a fight? XP

Oh right... I'm making an odd character with two souls, is that OK?

The soul within a soul thing is alright as long as you can handle it. As for the affinity part, you can have no affinity if that's what you mean. Affinity is only there for Esper Weavers.

Kio, is there an affinity on Poison then? If so I'll take that.

I can add poison, but it won't have an advantage or weakness.

KC, you should give Mirror's Light a bit of a draw back, since it's kind of a powerful attack. It uses reflective light correct? So what if you have to see the light in order for it to work?

I thought that you must see the light to be a victim of it would be obvious.

And I'm aware it is rather powerful, which is why I probably wont use it often. I could also add that it may only be natural light that reflects, or even just sunlight? I've had this Idea in my head for a while, and have many different ideas for it; there's a lot of room for maneuverability.

And sorry Swift. :P Too slow it seems.

EDIT

PS: If you need another drawback, what about it can affect Kagami aswell?

PPS: If someone really wants the affinity, you could always let maybe 1 other person for Sun and Moon. Or else they seem too important really, and increase the risk of Mary-Sue/Gary-Stuing a character.

I don't think he said there was a limit on the Sun/Moon affinities, but I think that we already have two characters using the Sun/Moon affinities, it'll make the characters a bit... lacking in uniqueness. Besides, I'd like to see the customization of the affinities. I'd say we'd leave the Sun/Moon affinities alone, unless we somehow get a buttload of applicants.

Off-T:

And I got a great song for the Sun/Moon characters.

For the record, Kio, you missed one of your bold tags (you put [*b/] rather than [*/b]). I edited your post to fix it.

I mention this, because for some reason your mistake glitched the system and affected (somehow) the entire page. Including other people's posts.

Reserve in any case.

Wait, Kio? If by 1, do you mean only one person can have Sun or Moon affinity each, so only 2 people total? If not, can you reserve me a spot? (Moon probs) Also, would a Void-affinity be okay with you? (Manipulating time-space dimension, but no advantage/disadvantage) Knowing how time-space manipulation can become easily overpowered, I'll keep it down. But anyway, can you reserve a spot (either way Moon or Void)? If Void isn't accepted, I'll think about something. But anyways, reserve me a spot (whatever affinity it has to be). :D

Weapon(s):
A desert eagle with seven shots before reloading.
A completely circular white metallic shield, coupled with a shiny, silvery club shaped like a spoon. Acquired during a trip to Folkuliere.
A pair of diamond-coated katanas acquired on their trip to Nihonshin. These diamond swords can pierce virtually anything, including rock-solid walls. Sometimes used as a tool for excavation and mining.

Crush: N/A

Theme Song: Ignore the voice, just the song.

Alhena’s theme:

Propus’ theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7XWhX6T2cE

Yellow, Blue, Red...

Based on the bio, one can tell she was born as Alhena, and can switch to Propus and back.

@KC: The attack is fine, just so long as it can be countered somehow. I did like the idea of it only working with natural light as it adds more of a strategic edge to the attack when fighting indoors, but I don't think he should be slowed too, cuz that's too much of a drawback.

@Penguin: I guess I can allow one more Sun/Moon character, but only one and only if they can give a good reason for having it. Only because I want to keep emphasis on how rare Esper Kin of Sun or Moon are.

@Garazza: Add a little more background and it'll be fine. I still don't quite get why he became a Black Hunter.

@Hydra: Thank you for fixing it. I honestly didn't notice I did that, and sincerely apologize for it. Also, how many characters do you plan to make? I know you like to play a couple xD

@.Nova: Void is fine, but just limit it a bit, and try to be creative with the Espers I guess.

@Whoever said something about creativity and it being the reason for the Sun/Moon limit: This was a big part of it, but the main reason is because they're supposed to be the rarest of the affinities. It wouldn't make any logic sense if half the people in the RP had something only one out of 100,000 people should be able to use.

@Everyone who reserved: You're all accepted, and with that I'm gonna throw up the big 'Not Accepting' before this gets crowded.

EDIT:

@Lily: When you said dual soul, I thought same gender same appearance, just different personalities when switched, but this is rather interesting. Accepted.

First and foremost are her host of mental illnesses; she's officially been diagnosed with depression, schizophrenia and a couple of phobias, and she has vast difficulty controlling any outbursts of rage or panic, even with professional help. Aiya will always second guess her sanity, as although she's normally kind, heartfelt and a nice person in general, she tends to immediately throw conscience to the wind when she's enraged or in a state of panic, and even if she believes she has to kill someone just to ensure that it never happens again, she won't even hesitate to do so. This is likely due to her schizophrenia though, so it's best to leave her alone when she's talking to her reflection, or one will scare the living daylights of her, intentionally or otherwise.

Weapon(s): Rifle Arm, I-Spi Firing Control System and Nether Blade

Voice Actor: Karen Strassman (English)/Maaya Sakamoto (Japanese)
high_place_by_itselfsearcher-d52xjlq.jpg

Instead, she has a charcoal grey leather skin suit with various intricate golden vynils in various places, specifically around the breasts, shoulders, back, lower stomach and hips, and this is the only layer of clothing that prevents her from being seen in her undergarments. Weirdly, the skin suit seems to unzip at the front. It's hard discern if this is the way the suit was designed or Aiya always puts it on back to front, as there's no ticket anywhere along the collar. If one actually pays attention to her stomach and back once she takes the steel plate off, a neon green glow can be noted pulsating inside her, indicating that the Nether Gem she stuck in her belly is working its magic. Interestingly, Aiya doesn't use her mouth to speak. Instead, she has electronics placed directly underneath her brain, with a wire dangling down through her neck and into the Nether Gem in her belly. This in turn allows whatever it is Aiya wants to say to be projected as if through a loudspeaker.

Biography: It isn't easy living through a long war. Unfortunately for Aiya Krystellia, her mother Tsuriche only just got pregnant with her just as the 300 Year Esper War started. Unaware of this at the time, Tsuriche had participated in the war as a sniper, and was off to a good start. But an enemy Esper had inflicted a curse on her before she managed to kill him, and that curse corrupted the whole pregnancy. Aiya had gotten various mutations to her body while inside Tsuchire's womb, and she grew so quickly that by the time Tsuriche managed to get to Camelot Hospital, she appeared as though she was 9 months pregnant, and about to give birth any second.

Unfortunately, that was also the age that Aiya became permanently ill.

Fearful that her life would end sooner than it would truly begin, Aiya immediately began to hit the books, searching desperately for a way to increase her life span, and not coming out of the library until she had answers. That's when she found out more about the Nether Gems, and read that a large enough one could potentially function as a life-support apparatus that could allow one to survive for millennia at a time. Having nothing to lose, Aiya rushed out and tried to find the largest Nether Gem she could find, only to wind up going into the black market and stealing it. Her Microwave Radiation power went off when she was being chased, and she lost a whole chunk of flesh, bone, skin and brain matter and even the eye from the right side of her face. Tsuriche was shocked when she realized what happened Aiya during her attempt at securing a nice, sizeable Nether Gem, and even more so at how exactly she supposed she fit this thing inside her once she managed to get it after a second run. Eventually, but extremely reluctantly, Tsuriche agreed to help Aiya in getting the Nether Gem inside her, but she had to take every single non-vital organ out of her chest, even the womb, and reshape the bones in Aiya's rib cage in order to achieve such a mammoth task. After a while, Aiya's lungs were taken out as well, since they started to fail her, but the heart remained, even though it too gave out. Wires and electronics were then inserted inside Aiya so the life support would kick into gear before the vital organs, before some other handy bits and bobs were installed, including Tsuriche's rifle, which was fastened on the end of Aiya's left arm.

Aiya lived on through the 300 Year Esper War, and continued to live for another 5,000 years thanks entirely to the Nether Gem inside her belly. Unfortunately, after realizing she lived for so long, the rulers of Arcadia, Allegretto and Folkuliere were all after her, aiming to obtain the Nether Gem so they could mass produce it. The rest of the world's population, on the other hand, couldn't care less, so Aiya made a series of non-violent, but still prison-punishable misdemeanours, which resulted in her being shipped to a women's prison found in the heart of the Frostvale Mountains. However, after Arcadia's ruler had realized of Aiya's location, he immediately visited the prison in an attempt to bring her out and into his hands, but he was told that she had to continue serving her time before it could be done. The ruler didn't see this as a problem, but Aiya realized that she had to break out of the prison as soon as possible. And Kira was probably going to have to help her out.

WIP at this stage, but anyway, just to get the "to prove you read the rules, throw a dinosaur into a lake and do a Russian dance on its eyeball" thing out of the way so I don't have to remember to do it when I finish the app off...
