Stan Alda
Seeing as my revitalized Supernova Remnants have been met with no response, I'm working on a new archetype, the "Nano" series. This Token-based archetype focuses on spamming Tokens and lower-level monsters that reduce opposing monsters' stats and/or turn them into more "Nano" monsters. The bigger monsters explode into more Tokens when destroyed, allowing you to easily recycle the monsters. The crux of the operation, "NanoApocalypse", has an alternate victory condition; if there are 10 "Nano" monsters on the field, including "NanoApocalypse", you win. Fortunately, the monsters themselves are pretty weak, so a fast, aggressive strategy should put them down before the nanobots engulf their opponent. You can only have 1 "NanoSpawn" on your side of the field. 1400/800 NanoSwarm EARTH Level 1 Machine/Effect During each of your Standby Phases, Special Summon 1 "Nano Token" (Machine-Type/Earth/LEVEL 1/ATK 700/DEF 800) in Attack Position to your opponent's side of the field. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can place 1 "Nano Token" on the field to a monster on your opponent's side of the field as a Spell Counter; decrease that monster's ATK and DEF by 300. Loyalist
Well the cards seem to be balanced with no obvious OCG errors but there are only 3 cards so its hard for me to make a judgement of the entire archtype. I wouldn't say its a bad concept.. Infact its quite decent so i'd say work on it and develop on your archtype's theme.
Stan Alda
Added more monsters and changed the "NegaNano" monsters into just plain "Nano" monsters for ease of use.
Stan Alda
Should I add a clause that prevents them from being used as Xyz or Synchro material? Considering they self-replicate, you'd have a near-infinite supply of material...
Loyalist
Well you can't use tokens for xyz materials anyway but unless you want to make synchro monsters for this archtype then I guess you should add the clause.
I'm not doing Synchros, and I forgot Tokens couldn't be used for Xyzs. Thanks for the advice. I'll see if I can get another card up later; I've got kind of a busy schedule. Stan Alda
Added the trump card, "NanoApocalypse". Pretty scary, huh?
weryllium
Very nice. It's a cool idea, with well-made cards. I'm imagining the nanos splitting, infecting, and eventually winning the game when they finally cover the whole field. Good job!
While I appreciate the sentiment, would you mind giving some more specific, constructive criticism? Are they overpowered or underpowered? Are there any particular decks or archetypes that they would work well with? Do you think they work in the current metagame? Those factors are the key aspects of a good review, and new members should make sure to keep that in mind when reviewing. Besides, the Advanced Clause requires you to have at least 45 words in your review; you're a new member, so I'll cut you a little slack. 45 words is easy when you put some thought into your reviews. This goes for all reviewers.
Loyalist
I think you should include that the effect of nano apocalypse is still applied while the card is in the graveyard to stop confusion (Although it would be impossible to win with the card on the field so this is kind of obvious but I'd say to include it anyway)

How would it not apply? As for the Graveyard bit, I based the OCG on "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes", which doesn't work in the Graveyard either. Besides, if you keep your "Nano"s in the Graveyard, you could get 10 of them there fairly easy, giving "NanoApocalypse" 5000 ATK and DEF. That's nothing to sniff at. Stan Alda
Added another monster, "NanoBuilder". Finally, a use for all of those stupid Nano tokens!
Loyalist
Nice card but It would be nice if you specified where you can special summon the monster from (I assume the hand).
Stan Alda
Added another one, "NanoStrangler". If you're wondering why I'm taking so long, the problem is not making effects, but making pics.
Stan Alda
Added another monster, "NanoMine". Should I change their effects so the opposing monsters' names are completely changed to "Nano[something]" instead of simply treating them as "Nano"s? I think that might ruin the opponent's archetype synergy, which would add more de-buffing to this.
Stan Alda
Added another card, "NanoConverter", and tweaked "NanoStrangler" and "NanoMine"'s effects. Instead of simply treating the target monster as a "Nano" monster, they completely change it to "NanoThrall". This is intended to scramble the opponent's archetype synergy; archetype-specific support cards don't work on other cards, after all. Discuss. Stan Alda
I can't think of any more cards for this set, so I'm giving it a bump.
