These are the Strife, an archetype of... continuous traps? monsters?
Thing is, their concept is about being Continuous Trap Cards that can shift into being ALSO effect monsters, gaining different effects based on their status. They resemble the Fire Fist somewhat, since they fuel themselves by setting cards from the deck and stuff. Take a look!

(Note: as expected by being somewhat trap monsters, they are very compatible with the real card Imperial Custom and were made having this card in thought.)

This card can be activated during the turn it is Set from the hand. Once per turn, during your opponent's turn, while this card is not a monster, the first time a monster is Summoned: You can Set 1 "Strife" Trap Card from your Deck. Once per turn, you can either: Special Summon this as also an Effect Monster (Beast-Warrior Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 1500), OR: Place this card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone (it is no longer treated as a monster). Once per turn, while this card is a monster, you can send 1 "Strife" Trap Card you control to the Graveyard to target 1 monster on the field; destroy it.

This card can be activated during the turn it is Set from the hand. Destroy this card unless there are other "Strife" cards in both your Monster Card Zone and Spell & Trap Card Zone. While this card is not a monster, "Strife" monsters you control cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn, you can either: Special Summon this as also an Effect Monster (Fiend-Type/WATER/Level 5/ATK 2300/DEF 700), OR: Place this card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone (it is no longer treated as a monster). While this card is a monster, if another "Strife" monster you control battles an opponent's monster, after damage calculation: Destroy that opponent's monster.

This card can be activated during the turn it is Set from the hand. While this card is not a monster, if a "Strife" monster you control would be destroyed, you can place it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone instead (it is no longer treated as a monster). Once per turn, you can either: Special Summon this as also an Effect Monster (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1200/DEF 1900), OR: Place this card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone (it is no longer treated as a monster). Once per turn, while this card is a monster, when a "Strife" card you control moves into the Monster Card Zone: You can return 1 card on the field to the hand.
