Luminous Angels (now revamped with MSE)

This is my first real archetype, so I would really like some input.  I decided to make this a Synchro-Centric archetype, since I'm kinda tired of all the new Xyz  stuff.  Really wish Konami would give Synchros a bit of a boost.  But anyway, here's my Luminous Angel cards.

Since I didn't like looks of the different rarities in MSE, I'll just do a list of rarities for the archetype:

 

Cathadae = Ultra Rare

Eotena = Super Rare

Kera = Rare

Natari = Common

Zessi = Common

Thera = Secret Rare

Mallyra = Secret Rare

Seleen = Super Rare

Icena = Ultra Rare

Angel Wings = Rare

 

That's it for now.  May or may not post more.  Yeah, I know the set numbers are out of order, but that's MSE for you.  The way the cards are posted is the PROPER set order,

WOW very cool! Its a lot like the Angelic Synchro Archetype i made, except its focused on banishing. I love the images, very awesome. the effects look very fun to use and with specific support i think you could even make a loop.  I really liked the idea and concept, specially since im an Angel theme lover. overall id give it 8/10. it could still use some Spell/Trap support.

Cathadae: Man, this seems too strong. I mean, a nuke every turn at an easy cost? It's similar to Judgment Dragon, but this deck mills its own kind faster than Lightsworns. Also, about the OCG: There are some mistakes, like the structure "This card can be special summoned..." which should be "You can Special Summon this card...", the once per turn effect should be optional (meaning: add an "You can"), and the part about being unable to summon 2 in a turn should be "You can only Special Summon 1 "Luminous Angel Cathadae" per turn."

 

Eotena: May need a small nerf. 1900 ATK, lv 4, pierces AND searches in grave. Also, its "once per turn" clause is done wrong. "Once per turn" implies a limitation for each copy of the card, meaning you could activate 3 of these in a turn, just not by banishing one of the copies and returning it to the graveyard (meaning you could use the effect of each copy once). You should instead use "This effect of "Luminous Angel Eotena" can only be activated once per turn.".

 

Kera: No comments here, just overall nice. Fuels when synchro'd with and also in other ways, that's cool.

 

Natari: Again, another effect that needs "You can". Aside, nice.

 

Zessi: Seems kind of lackluster, it does nothing special besides being a tuner and being part of the archetype. Maybe you could give it another effect, its current one is almost useless.

 

Thera: Its effect kind of encourages using non-Luminous Angel synchros and I like that.

 

Mallyra: This actually could use a big buff. It's rather lackluster and can only be summoned via Thera + Natari. Catastor would be much better and wouldn't even make Thera be banished.

 

Seleen: Another rather lackluster card. There are better lv 6s and, once again, summoning a non-archetype Level 6 would even make Thera not be banished, and Thera would probably be used far more often to make this.

 

Icena: This one is worth summoning over generic lv 8s. But is its effect to attack multiple times just for the turn during which it is activated? Then it should say "This card can attack twice during each Battle Phase this turn". Anyway you should make it non-generic (read as: require a "Luminous Angel" tuner or non-tuners) because it's the one really worth summoning of the bunch. And I think you could buff it to only lose 400 atk instead of 500 for each time it uses its effect.

 

Luminous Angel Wings: Kind of lackluster as well, but I see its use. You can use it to switch Eotena and Kera between themselves because both have useful effects in the grave. Maybe even Zessi and Natari. However, I think it could be made like this to make it stronger and keep its use:

"Equip only to a "Luminous Angel" monster. It gains 500 ATK. You can send the equipped monster to the Graveyard to target 1 "Luminous Angel" monster in your Graveyard; equip this card to that target. You can only use the effect of "Luminous Angel Wings" once per turn."

 

This way you can use it once per turn to loop some of their effects. You'd have to make Zessi a mandatory effect to have its effect activate via this though, or else it will miss timing.

 

Overall, it's a weak archetype that is better off Synchroing generic synchros, besides the lv 8 one. It has no really distinctive traits beyond that. You could give them more unique effects or add to their concept to make them more distinct, and buff nearly all of them to make the archetype better. The OCG is pretty good and so is the artwork, though.
