Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Doesn't seem fitting to be in the main section, so this is where I'm going to put it. Basically, I've been checking out the decks they post on Shriek's OCG website for unofficial tournaments, and there are quite a bit of surprising ones out there, obviously not all optimized, but I found it cool enough to mention them. For those who don't know, I'm finding them here. If you have seen any interest builds from other countries or unofficial tournaments feel free to post them. First off, a Fire King deck that mains Generation Shift, something I honestly hadn't thought of. http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/238153197/ A Hero Alive Glad deck that seems to have a troll extra deck? http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/238309444 A Laval deck that's using Vortex Trooper? (Maybe it's supposed to be Card Trooper, these are not always 100% accurate) http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/238337701/ A heal and burn deck and a strange Rabbit deck that uses Malefic Cyber End with no field spell... http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/238956705/ Some sort of Pawman Stun? http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/239167288/ Propechies that maindeck Cosmo Queen http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/238658720/
Judαs
A heal and burn deck http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/238956705/ This came in first place? O_O That deck is absolutely terrible.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
This came in first place? O_O That deck is absolutely terrible. Yeah. They're unsanctioned events, so it purely depends on the people present at the tournament who would get first place. Still, it's interesting to see the cards and decks people come up with at lower-tier level.
-Doodle
I remember always seeing those wierd decks topping, but never this wierd O_O Those small tournies really let other wierd decks shine lol :P

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
lol at being late, but it wasn't a friend of mine who did PAWMAN stun. Some dude did. Either way, did it seem pretty much like the deck posted here?
Strider Tigerwolf
It was EXACTLY as the deck posted here. XD Netdeckers
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Haven't really seen any interesting decks posted in a while. They are almost all exclusively cookie cutter Elemental Dragons, Spellbooks, Verz, or Mermail, with a bit of Fire Fist sprinkled in. The only exception I am finding right now is a Mermail deck that uses Treeborn Frog and Fishborg Archer.
Wildflame
Interesting Madolche deck with some Psychics mixed in: http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/326527646/ That's all I got though :/
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Decided to bump this thread with a last format deck: Prophecies without Junon and using Blue-Eyes Maiden http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/465679388/
Maeriberii Haan
Aren't it has become quite a mainstream deck that format due to the surprising pressure that Blue Eyes put on the field?
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Aren't it has become quite a mainstream deck that format due to the surprising pressure that Blue Eyes put on the field? I'll be honest here, not only do I not understand completely what you said, but I also think it's not true.

Darj
I never bothered to check the link until I read your "Deck Lockdown" thread, and I must say I'm impressed. It was clever from the player to combo Gol'gar and this card to counter E-Drags and etc. and when you mentioned the deck topped in your Spacemen thread, I expected them to be in 2nd or 3rd place, but not 1st. I wonder if Gol'gar would be able to pull off the same stunt with Vanity Emptiness as well: bounce Vanity back, perform your Special Summons and Set the Trap again, only to activate it during your opponent's Standby Phase and repeat. Locking both the Deck and Special Summons should leave any player hopeless.

Locking both the Deck and Special Summons should leave any player hopeless. It is possible, and definitely worth trying out, but there's three problems to overcome when doing so:. 1. Emptiness is a lot easier to get rid of than Deck Lockdown, in that if you get rid of anything on your field it goes with it. If they use MST and get rid of one of your other back row while you have Emptiness out, you just lost 2 targets for Gol'Gar's effect and the flood gates for your opponent are opened. 2. If Deck Lockdown is out, you can still make a good number of plays with the deck, just not with Rabbit. while Emptiness kills all moves but summoning Thunder King or another level 4 beatstick like Shock Trooper. 3. It's a trap, which means it has to be face-down before it can be returned with Gol'Gar, thus making it harder to set up for clearing and then locking the opponent down. The glaring problems with the deck when going from OCG to TCG are as follows as well: 1. We don't have Trishula, which is actually a big deal for the deck and easily made using either Call of the Haunted or Photon Thrasher and Ammonite with its effect or Ammonite by itself and use Rescue Rabbit to summon 2 Shock Trooper. 2. We don't have Shock Master, which can be made using Thrasher/CotH and Rescue Rabbit summoning 2 Shock Trooper/Masked Chameleon's effect to summon another. 3. Thunder King and Rescue Rabbit are at 1. Thunder King made stunning easier, and Rabbit made the deck more consistent as well as added plays. 5. Monster Reborn is banned, which is a bigger deal in this deck in that it can make Trishula and Shock Master plays easier, or get around Ammonite being veilered. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/305133748/ This same Laval deck using Vortex Trooper pops up again. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/714913113/ The second deck is pretty interesting. It's anti-meta Dragon Rulers. I had rulers in general, but at least there's a lot more to it than that.
Wildflame
They sure are making good use of Majesty's Fiend in the OCG.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
They sure are making good use of Majesty's Fiend in the OCG. Since they have 2 dragon rulers still, they can make it relatively easily, and it kills pretty much every deck.
