Somewhere, lost in the universe,

lies a world called Lath, where the moon turns slow.

This is the legend of that world.

From the spire, a curse of fate

The crimson moon shall always wait

And with a legend, a dead desire

Let the end strike through like fire

There was once a small and peaceful world called Lath, and two races live in that world, the first race was the human race. These peaceful beings lived a harmonious existence for a long time, living peacefully in a stasis for almost a thousand years, where nobody had any desire to change or expand.

But then the second race appeared into this peaceful era, the formidable vampire race. Perhaps they had started off as a mutation of humans, or perhaps as demons with amnesia. In any case, nobody knows anymore. These long-lived conquerors set out to build great cities and gain dominion over all living things. In time, their aggression enslaved the passive and puny humans. The vampires reigned supreme, and the humans were kept as slaves.

Divided by hatred, a revolt was beginning. With no other choice, the humans tapped into a mystical energy known as 'magic'. They learned it, and when the time was right, a war for freedom began. With unexpected force, they damaged the Vampire kingdom, and with magic began to overpower the Vampires in bloody confrontations. But in the end, neither could defeat the other and in the end, they settled with a truce.

And so the two races, despite their differences, began to coexist with each other.

Twenty-three years ago, a human-hating tyrant called Lord Elnaer rose to the throne and threatened this truce. He hunted down a large majority of the humans within the three years of his reign, having declared them all to be killed. As they persisted on, he delved into forbidden research and three years later attempted to enact a plan that would eradicate all the humans on the planet, but was ultimately defeated by the combined might of the rebels at the Battle of Nuevida Castle.

Afterwards, he was replaced by a benevolent vampire - Alsa von Mira - who proceeded to mend the human race and helped in forging an even tighter alliance between the two races than before. Ever since then, there has been peace.
Lath, a growing world of magic and science.

After many centuries of turmoil, the humans and vampires are finally in a solid alliance. This is most evident in the cloudy city of Noirlune, where both races run powerful and strong together, working together to invent technologies never before seen. But there is a problem.

For several years now , a werewolf 'curse' has begun to spread across the populace, infecting humans (making them undergo transformations that take over their minds and viciously attack anyone nearby) but also extremely deadly to vampires. Alongside that, a crimson moon would randomly appear in the sky alongside the normal moon, forcing the transformation of infected. To solve this problem, the mayor gave rewards to anyone who could identify the lycanthropes among them, and through this process they were either chased out or executed.

But over the past few months, a man called Sir Wylfred has begun uniting the werewolves together, teaching them how to control themselves in their changed forms and how to change at will. Under his leadership, a civil war with Noirlune had been started, beginning with a mist-generating machine that cut them off from the outside in a siege attempt. Since then, the citizens have been continually terrorized and living in constant fear...

......but within despair, there is always hope. When legendary hero Azami Yamada is elected mayor, she shows determination to save the city. Recently, posters have been scattered about the city, requesting for anyone brave enough to volunteer and gather together in a spire at the very center of Noirlune. As a team, she will then lead them into a deadly quest to free the city from the shadow that the werewolves cast...!

Will you step forth for freedom, or will you give in to corruption?
Will you uphold, or will you betray?
Will you stay sane, or will you go insane?
This is for those who still have no clue about anything in the roleplay, even after reading the plot (whom I expect to be everyone). It provides clear details on Lath, and how to start out. Creativity is still encouraged.

*The story will be taking place in Noirlune, a growing, industrial city where humans and vampires live in harmony together. It's also the only place on the planet to accept hybrids. It rains a lot, with grey skies most of the time, and waking up to a bright morning sky is very rare. An artificial fog thanks to Sir Wylfred blocks it from the outside world.

*Life in Noirlune is mostly modern, with the exception of the internet and screens in general so no televisions, computers, handphones, etc… - but hey, there are telephones! But no signal outside the fog.

*If you start out as a human or a vampire, you're most likely a citizen of Noirlune (be creative about it, make up whatever you want). Apart from that, you might be somebody who somehow got through the mist, or whose house was unfortunately enough to be caught up in the middle of it.

*If you start out as a werewolf, you're most likely living in a lavish mansion in the middle of the mist right now, where all your fellow werewolves are also staying and hanging about. You might be a veteran chased out from the city, or you might be newly infected and still coping to this whole thing, but Wylfred found you and gave you a family. Wylfred seems to be very friendly and understanding to you guys, if only mysterious about what he wants.

*The world of Lath only has a full moon once every year. And let's just say the years are 365 days for simplicity, alright? The day for the complete full moon is approaching.

*Note that the werewolf curse has existed for a long time now, though with the full moon only happening once a year, it's been exceeding rare...until now.

*Lath is a tiny planet, probably only about a quarter as large as Earth...there is only one continent, and a super-gigantic ocean, but everything else is more or less the same as our world. Other than the presence of mana, vampires, and werewolves, of course.

*Humans are more oriented to magic and traditions, while vampires are more focused to technology and science.

*Magic is only possessed by humans, hybrids (optional), and vampires with royal blood (distant or oblivious relatives work too). Werewolves have it too, but it's so many times damper than when they were uninfected.

*Vampires are not transformed humans. Is this perfectly clear? They are their own race. They have pale-ish skin, high strength/speed, sharp fangs, and a lifespan twice as long as humans, although from baby to adult is at more or less the same rate as humans. Blood to them is like alcohol to humans; forbidden for youngsters, can get drunk on it, is sorta addictive, tastes better when mixed... but most of the time it comes from animals and not humans. Though human blood is much stronger.

*Werewolves, in their human forms, have athletic bodies and greater senses, as well as a healing factor and the ability to see through the mist. Once transformed, they become very physically strong and slightly resistant to magic, though their sanity begins to slip away depending on how much control they have over it. Anything that isn't meat tastes like dust, and they're bipedal by the way, just in case you're thinking of the Twilight werewolves.

*Lycanthropy only spreads via bites. While it doesn't make vampire werewolves, it's extremely deadly to them and rapidly eats away at their health.  Ordinary infected can only turn during either a full moon or a crimson moon (when it's forced), but your character might be experienced enough to transition in and out of the transformation at will, without a moon (though they should be stronger under a crimson or full moon). Feel free to be creative about it anyway.

*Yes, Hybrids are allowed. Feel free to be creative when it comes to them. They can also be werewolves, but they might also not, that's a matter of genes.

*There's a small, shining red comet in space that's constantly visible in the night sky. It's an amazing sight and noticeably larger than it was twenty years ago. Scientists predict that it will crash into Lath over the course of the next two centuries, but they aren't sure about its size yet.

*Elves supposedly existed thousands of years ago, leaving behind strange monuments in the form of glowing green stones and seeds that grow into whatever the planter wants them to grow into. Oh, and word has it that the current Vampire Lord has an elven advisor, awoken from a deep slumber.
Username: Merciful Idiot

Name: Azami Yamada

Gender: Female

Race: Vampire(?)

Age: 113

Appearance: While not looking very old – in fact, she looks rather young and slim for her age (which is the equivalent of around 57 human years), possessing dyed short-cut magenta hair, purple eyes, and pale skin, appearing to have not aged a day over thirty. But this is only an illusion to hide her true appearance; wherein her skin is a pale silver, her eyes appearing like solid globes of green as if blown from fine glass, and her beauty replaced by an ominous foreboding.

Most of the time, she wears a formal white suit – with a black lab coat over it, which is a habit she hadn’t been able to abandon since the imperial ages.
Doctor Yamada is legendary in the world of Lath, having gone from being a simple medic to a hero. There are few people who don’t know her story.

When she was young, she watched as her two older brothers departed to join the vampiric army, and dreamed of a world without those pesky humans. Even though she was female and wasn’t very physically strong, she still wanted to help out somehow. It was only natural that she would end up undergoing the training to become a medic. In the Human-Vampire war, medics had always had the hardest of jobs. They were to rush forth with the troops, find the wounded, patch up whatever immediate damage there was and bring the soldier back to the aid station without getting killed themselves. Not only that, but they would have to put up with failure every time, and even if they succeeded, nobody was ever going to thank them or reward them for doing their duty. They were just there. Unnoticed, unrecognized medics.

Everything changed when one day on the battlefield, Azami accidentally patched up a human without realizing it. Also not realizing that she was a vampire as he had been blinded, he expressed a dying wish of seeing peace between the two races, as well as regret at being unable to see his family again. His last request was to find them and tell them how much he loved them, imparting with her a photo he kept straight before death. It was a misunderstanding, yet this event changed her. Forever.

Later on, she removed herself from the battlefield and attended university, becoming a doctor at the age of thirty. Focusing on the concept of an ‘alliance’, she tried to convince the vampires that humans were just like them and not mindless barbarians… Her efforts eventually bore fruit when she caught the Vampire Lord Alnasa’s attention, and somehow managed to organize the very first peaceful negotiation in…well, all of history. Ultimately, she would unite together the two races and end the endless war.

Once the alliance was made, she didn’t sit back and relax with dual prize medals of honor from both races. She instead became a scientist and began focusing on military weaponry with the goal of strengthening this ‘alliance’. Along the way, she accomplished other things including the invention of the machine gun and improving the effectiveness of grenades and other things, continuing to be a hero in the eyes of the people.

When Lord Elnaer succeeded the throne and destroyed all that Azami had accomplished with a single order, declaring war on humans, she disappeared off the face of the world – presumably into hiding since she would be regarded as a rebel.

And once it was over, she resurfaced and became a settled citizen of Noirlune. Nobody there minded that she built a spire in the center of the city that towers over everything else. And being in the middle of a werewolf crisis, when she began running for mayor, she was elected almost immediately by the people.

Fearlessly, she shall confront Sir Wylfred and his terrorist werewolves, and become their hero once more. But there may be more to her colorful past than meets the eye…
Personality: She is forever optimistic and charismatic, pursuing peace one step at a time and never giving up no matter what, and maintaining that there is little difference between a human and a vampire. Azami is truly the staple of a true hero, and has become a role model for many in Lath. Even so, she is with her flaws, being impatient and quick to make remarks. She also tends to ignore her fans, is kind of paranoid, sometimes really cold, and…somehow mysterious about many things, as if hiding the whole truth.

Faction: Resistance

Abilities/Equipment: While Azami doesn’t have any royal blood, she is highly athletic and possesses several military equipment, including grenades and dual pistols by her waist. Her weapon of choice is some kind of heavy shotgun-sniper that can blow back and deal heavy damage to werewolves...but she isn’t exactly the best shot, which is why she has a scope attached to it in the first place. Apart from that, she also has a pocket knife.

Hidden away within her chamber, there is also a vaguely-dragonic armor with crimson runes that reacts to her presence, possessing extraordinary power and mana. Someday, she may choose to don it.
Username: Merciful Idiot

Name: Wylfred Glendon

Gender: Male

Race: Werewolf

Age: 31

(transformed form is right there in the banner)
Wylfred came from a family of humans, leading a peaceful life in a hidden forest away from the forces of the outside world. At the age of nine, while he went out to wander by himself without permission, Lord Elnaer’s forces found their home and killed his parents. When he had returned, only flames awaited him.

Left all alone, he left the forest with nothing. He walked, without any idea on where he was going, until finally arriving at a strange place called Noirlune. The first person to find him was a woman with unnatural hair. At the time, she only gave him a questioning look as he desperately explained his circumstances, before pointing at a building.

When he went there, it turned out to be an orphanage, and he didn’t get a chance to return back to the woman for several years. Several years later, he left and began training by himself, becoming an elemental magician in the process and having an outside abandoned mansion renovated. He had no particular affinity, but his mind grew sharper with each passing month, and it all culminated when one day he discovered something massive and metallic, trapped beneath a ravine unnoticed by the residents of Noirlune, and what he learned there was absolutely invaluable.

At the age of twenty-two, Wylfred approached his savior, and calmly asked to become her apprentice. After proving himself via a series of tests, Doctor Yamada reluctantly decided to accept him, and around this time, the werewolves had begun appearing.  Over the next several years, he learned about machinery and military planning, but more importantly, he learned about the secrets that she held. Having jokingly called him ‘Sir’ at point, it stuck for him. But this apprenticeship was not to last, ase was caught in a werewolf attack and was bitten, forcing him to leave Noirlune like the rest as the mayor began his campaign. He spent the next several months locked up in his own mansion in horror at what he had become, struggling to conquer himself.

And he succeeded. Very quickly after learning this, it wasn’t hard for him to track down the rest of the werewolves and gather them up into his mansion, teaching them the same things. Wylfred now had a new plan; to conquer Noirlune. He knew it wouldn’t be easy, so he would have to siege it first. Organizing his friends together and gaining their respect, he began his assault. A civil war had begun.

His ultimate goal is take control of the spire that towers over the city, which holds the key…to showing the rest of the world just what it means to be a lycanthrope….
Personality: Wylfred is a kind and honorable man, if only an extremist and desperate about what he does. He doesn’t consider himself nor has ever thought of himself as evil, and holds a deep amount of respect for Doctor Yamada, perhaps even seeing her as a mother. However, he can be really sadistic at times and is indifferent to the lives of the common human or vampire, telling his fellow werewolves that a line was etched between them and humans the moment they were bitten…if they were bitten, anyway…and that they shouldn’t view humans as their own kin.

Faction: Werewolves

Abilities/Equipment: Wylfred is surprisingly adept at magic, able to telekinetically manipulate his surroundings even in a transformed state. As no ordinary human is capable of this, it’s safe to assume that maybe his heritage as a human separated from the rest of the world is related to this.....

He has absolute control over his werewolf form, and can shift in and out of it at will, even capable of making simply one of his body parts transform. This combined with his powerful access to magic makes him a hulking monster that cannot be stopped once on the battlefield, as a being with both power and focused intelligence. However, apart from that, he has no special abilities that stand out.
Username: Merciful Idiot

Name: Alsa von Mira

Gender: Male

Race: Vampire

Age: 35
nnqhww.png
His sword does not look like that though.

Alsa von Mira is the younger brother of the tyrant called Elnaer. Being part of the vampiric royal family, it was only natural that a child like him was raised in elegance, yet at the same time raised in the shadow of his older brother. Still, he didn't mind this, preferring to read stories and legends in the library. And so it came to be that when his older brother became Vampire Lord, declared war on all the humans, and disposed of all the storybooks centered around humans, Alsa protested. Elnaer, having never cared about his younger brother, didn't hesitate for a moment to throw him undeservingly into prison.

He ended up spending most of his teenagerhood stuck in that same prison, constantly meeting captured humans and vampire rebels who keep getting thrown in there - before getting executed within the next day or two. To the public, 'Alsa' had been killed by humans, and only the prison guards as well as Elnaer himself knew he was still alive. Despite this, he remained strong, and hope eventually came in the form of three queer prisoners - the human Luis, the elf Feredir, a strange man with the alias of Iron Dragon. Together with them, they fought their way out and managed to escape into the open, though Luis ended up being left behind.

While Iron Dragon went to rendezvous with the human resistance camp, Alsa decided to stay in the forest and train with Feredir. For two nights they trained together, and though he didn't gain much, he did learn how to concentrate his mana into energy. Later on they went back into the castle through a secret entrance, in the middle of the Battle of Nuevida Castle, and confronted his brother Lord Elnaer alongside Iron Dragon (whose real name was Alexi) and Luis. But his brother had turned into some kind of tree monster, and they arrived mere moments after he slayed the human's leader, John Alexander.

A powerful battle ensued, they managed to fell the mutated Elnaer, only for him to return as something...far far worse, that threatened the very world itself. The second half of the Battle of Nuevida Castle was focused solely on defeating this creature, and despite many attempts, it endured everything and continued on its onslaught, killing tons of thousands. As people worked together, it was all up to Alsa to deal the final blow. He swallowed the seed it had dropped, and gained a massive amount of mana that he unleashed onto the treepocalyse, destroying it.

Six months later, he was coronated as the next Vampire Lord at his sister's request, and since then has been a benevolent ruler, working hard to strengthen the alliance between both races. Although in the past few years, he has been feeling slightly sick, and his five senses have been acting crazy - presumably all side-effects of the Elnherjar seed.

As the reunion to celebrate their victory over the tyrant Elnaer approaches, Alsa made the hasty decision to turn it into a hunting trip around Noirlune, so he can better hide his illness.

It's also killing two birds with one stone, as Noirlune hasn't been communicating with the outside world lately, and he could use the opportunity to visit it. Though that thick fog around it is a little bothersome, along with that crimson moon in the sky...
Personality: Alsa has a love and passion for stories, but more importantly, he has the determination to lead his people. The responsibility of the entire alliance between human and vampire rests upon him, and despite the pressure, he keeps going onward and continues to be the Vampire Lord that they need as a role model. But deep down, he's bothered by the fact that he never has any time to write down his own stories, and he faces much heavier problems as this strange sickness continues on, and cannot afford to be bedridden just yet. Not until he knows that everything is okay.

Faction: Neutral

Abilities/Equipment: Being a member of the main royal family, Alsa is capable of magic, and has an extremely large quantity of mana. He focuses and specializes in the materialization of energy itself, including the creation of dense spheres of energy, which he can then control to explode, fire, or simply utilize as a bright lightbulb. With an elf for a teacher, he has proficient control over his magic, and is even able to manipulate the natural elements and channel them into objects.

He wields the Mira family sword, a broad sword with crimson colors and a hilt fashioned after a bat, mostly just for show but Alsa can coat the blade within a shell of energy that reinforces its power.

While he is normally agile and competent in battle, his recent illness makes it harder for him to concentrate with his eyes.

This way, we won't be accidentally stumbling upon each other, and it also gives people an opportunity to catch up faster and see which groups are where. But if you're unsure, and want to leave it open so you can interact with other people, then you don't have to.

I have two questions for you then. First, am I allowed to bring Lyon and Kate over from the previous RP in the series and have them going in as part of Alsa's hunting trip? Also, how many characters are we actually allowed to have? Finally, about time you're making this, I've been waiting for the sequel to come out ever since the last one finished. I'm glad to see it happening though, and will definitely reserve a spot.

@Sim: 1. Yes, well, obviously. That's the whole point.

2. Feel free to make loads of characters, but don't go overboard with it. AKA infinity, but you have to keep track of them all, and don't flood the IC thread with TONS and TONS of each of your many hundreds and hundreds of different character perspectives~ I love reading other people's stories, but please don't send an army of information at me.

3. Me too~ I feel all giddy and stuff inside~ :D

Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 22

23wr6ns.png

Brom has had a tough life. He has experienced one tragedy after another and it is because of these experiences that his heart has grown so cold. Brom's eyes used to be alive with so much joy and love. Those were the younger years. Back when Brom could call someone his family. Brom used to have an older brother. They were so close. They told each other anything and everything, and there was rarely a time they were apart. One day when Kallen, Brom's older brother, left to run some errands for their parents he was attacked. Killed by a human for the green in his pocket. Brom was devastated. It was the first time his world came crashing down around him. For months he did nothing but survive. He didn't smile, speak, or laugh.

After finally dealing with the loss of his older brother, Brom went back to normal life. He didn't smile as much and the life in his eyes was not as bright, but things moved on. He began to rebuild is broken world. Just in time for it to fall apart again. His mother, an archaeologist, went out on one of her expeditions and never came back. Her body had been find in the middle of the desert, her skin blistered by the sun and her body mostly torn apart. It was assumed that she had been killed by the vampires that claimed to own the site she had been working at. Now almost used to loss, Brom did not cry. He did not scream or yell. He did nothing but blame. Now both humans and vampires had shown him that neither could be trusted.

Having lost both his brother and mother to violent ends, Brom decided that he could not let himself or his father fall to the same fate. He urged his dad to start taking self defense classes, but could not convince the emotionally empty husk of his father to do anything, but eat. Brom soon decided that he would have to protect them both. Brom became mercenary, trained in nearly every form of martial art as well as a master of several weapons. He learned to protect himself, and by extension his father. But there was an enemy that even he could not guard against. The disease. The transformation. The beast. His father had become infected.

Having already been emotionally dead and unwilling to live, the disease took over rapidly and powerfully. Brom's father was reduced to nothing more than a wild beast, even when not in a transformation. Brom knew his father was gone. He performed the execution himself.

Now nothing more than a heartless mercenary, Brom works for anyone that will give him enough coin. He does not align himself in any way, hating every known race on the planet. For now, he works for the resistance, but could easily turn renegade should the opportunity present itself.

Brom is a silent storm. He rarely speaks or makes a sound and attacks without prejudice. And by 'without prejudice' I mean radial hatred. He hates everyone and everything and is often seen as cold and dark. Thinking he has nothing to live for but himself, Brom is incredibly selfish and self-centered. He cares for nothing more than himself and his pay.

Deep down, Brom is not as cold as his outershell would have everyone would believe. Deep down, the same crying child exists that made itself known after his older brother's death. The same concerned family member exists that revealed itself after his mother's death. But the only thing that shows is the cold, guarded figure that was forced to execute his own father.

Faction: Neutral(but hired by the resistance)

Brom is at the peak of human abilities. He has been trained and honed his skills to the point of perfection. He is a master with the tanto that he carries on his back as well as an excellent marksman with the pistol he keeps holstered at his side. Brom keeps a stock of both silver and lead bullets, to deal with any enemy. Brom's greatest advantage is his flexibility and reflexes. Never being able to put on much muscle, Brom relies on his wit and determination to kill his enemies. Even though he is not muscular, Brom is lean and fit, stronger than most human's his size. As well as being physically powerful, Brom has an aptitude for the magical art. His magic is a form of conjuration, called Spectral Conjuration. Through this magic, Brom is able to create transparent items out of magical energy. These conjurations are as deadly as its real-life counterpart, but will shatter much more easily. Along with being able to conjure weapons Brom has started to touch on being able to conjure animated figures. His favorite at the moment is a flock of crows, but he is also able to conjure a variety of other smaller animals.
Spectral Conjuration:

Weapons/Items:

 • Sword
 • Shield
 • Staff
 • Bat(as in a baseball bat)
 • Shuriken
 • Rope

Animated Figures(animals):

 • Flock of crows/bats
 • Dog(rottweiler)
 • Snake
 • Giant Spider(about the size of a dinner plate)

Others:

 • Fire
 • Mist

@Renegade: Hey, it's the newcomers like you that I'm really looking forward to~

I did find it strange that there wasn't any mention of magic in your app, and Brom certainly seems more like a vampire than a human (marksman, flexible and physically stronger than the average human, incapable of magic), but I guess it's your choice. Accepted!

@Admiral:
1. Yes, but I can't imagine any treatment apart from butchering off the infected arm before it spreads. People are still searching for a cure with little success.....unless you feel it's important and you want to make up your own...in which case, go ahead and administer it.

2. Six to forty-eight hours, depending upon the vampire's willpower and emotional stability. Screaming and crying the whole way through will only accelerate it tremendously.

Or, if you've got some secret phlebotinum, then I guess you can have your character live much longer than that, though I imagine it to be as harmful as deadly cancer.

Hey, it's the newcomers like you that I'm really looking forward to~

I did find it strange that there wasn't any mention of magic in your app, and Brom certainly seems more like a vampire than a human (marksman, flexible and physically stronger than the average human, incapable of magic), but I guess it's your choice. Accepted!

1. Yes, but I can't imagine any treatment apart from butchering off the infected arm before it spreads. People are still searching for a cure with little success.....unless you feel it's important and you want to make up your own (like some highly rare experimental herbal chemical thingie, or whatever)...in which case, go ahead and administer it.

2. Six to forty-eight hours, depending upon the vampire's willpower and emotional stability. Screaming and crying the whole way through will only accelerate it tremendously.

...

Or, if you've got some secret phlebotinum, then I guess you can have your character live much longer than that, though I imagine it to be as harmful as deadly cancer.

One good thing about doing this, I got in a couple RPs previous so I can bring back my touch as an RPer. Anyway, here's my "revised" app (The armor pic has been replaced and I added a little more to his bio in some places).
Username: Double C4

Name: Richard Mason
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 27
Normal/Formal Attire (Can't use the image itself for some reason)

Combat Attire/Battle Armor (The shoulders are solid instead of faces and he only wears the helmet on occasion)

Richard had a family at birth. He had a personal bond with his parents that many could never understand. Even when Richard began speaking at age 3, the bond was there, and he was very successful in his actions. And for about 17 years it stayed that way, until just before his 18th birthday, when he came home to what were bloodless husks of his parents. It devastated him, as he couldn’t protect them, but it also made him stronger as a result, as they would want Richard to be successful in his own right. Just like his father said to him before his death, “You are special, Richard, not because of your intelligence, but how you will use it. I believe you will be the one to make this family return to its former glory.”

Living on his own for the next two years, Richard has been a man of influence in the land of Noirlune, who truly believed peace could be achieved between all existing races, even if all is lost, as he feels as though Hope is what we all fight with in order to have a chance to achieve victory and be able to live for another day. And although doing this has helped others brighten the people’s determination, he wanted to do more with the skill of intelligence that he possessed. Although influencing the peasants and other people that he lived among in Noirlune was a tremendous feat for someone like him to do so easily, he knew there was more to him than just raising the hopes of the people for a safer and brighter future ahead of them.

Eventually, he came across something in his home he didn’t realize before. This was hidden from Richard for whatever reason there was to hide it. It was an armor stand, a shield in front of it, and a sword in its hands, with a plaque that read “Here lies the very remnants of the great Girard “Maximus” Mason, the first of the Mason family to fade into a legend. May his warrior spirit pass on to any generation deemed worthy of fighting for future lost peace.” This stand came to a surprise to him, as he never knew that such an artifact existed within his own home. Why did his father never know of this. Or maybe he did, and he just never really got to see his father reveal the path to the room in which the armor stand as a child.

Then, it came to him. He understood what his father truly meant. Although it wasn’t made particularly obvious, it was all clear when he saw the bigger picture: he is the one generation meant to be the successor of one of Lath’s legendary warriors. Previous generations didn’t have the potential to live up to Maximus’ expectations of being the next best thing. Richard, however, was more than capable of filling that role. And he knew the first thing to do to start this journey to Legendary status. But as always, he had to start from the bottom to try and reach the top of the mountainside.

Months later, Richard joined the Human Army recruits, and was the first to be able to join the higher rankings within half the expected time of any average recruit. But Richard wasn’t just an average recruit. His high IQ and means of adapting his combat tactics have made him honorable to join the army’s high rankings. Within 6 years time, Richard had been able to achieve the right-hand man status next to Noirlune’s newly appointed mayor, Azami Yamada. But there was a reason for it. Ever since the beginning of the werewolf phenomenon, Richard had appeared to be immune to the effects of the Crimson Moon, along with the infection itself. He believes that is why Azami wants to form a resistance group against the werewolves: To find warriors immune to the lycanthrope infection that has ruined the lives of many humans.

1 year later, many had stood up to the plate to join such a resistance group, and Richard was responsible for choosing who was eligible for such a joining. Being a man who understands how to use a sword at its limits and has the knowledge to use mana for multiple purposes, he believed that a resistance to the infection was also a resistance to a viral form of mana that is believed to be the cause of the infection. Now, Richard must fight with this group of warriors, also learning to work together with them and put an end to the constant schemes of the one known as Sir Wylfred. Now he can only hope somebody ends this, whether or not it will be him
Personality: Richard is a man of influence. When you feel down, he’ll gladly help you back up if it’s worth it. He understands the needs of the people and will do anything necessary to protect the innocent. Because he lacks his parents, he makes up that mistake by making sure he can save as many lives as he can, no matter what. As a noble warrior loyal to Azami to the very end, he is very noble and will do all that he must to protect the innocent, if at all. Richard is the most persistent warrior ever known. No matter how bad the odds may be, he will never give up, regardless of the situation. Mainly because when all of his main options are depleted, all he can rely on, is Hope, which is what he fights with when all is lost.
Faction: Humans
Richard is a noble warrior with great knowledge on using swords. He is a strategist that exceeds all others. When a particular strategy fails, he will go back and try to come up with something new that he might have learned from the battle in which the strategy had failed in. He will always adapt in some way in order to ensure victory. And his persistence also helps with that to ensure that his ways of fighting shall ensure a defeat in the enemy’s eyes.

Richard is also very known for being able to use mana. It’s not known how he had come to be able to do it, but everyone’s come to being used to it being such. His use of mana goes to the basic natural and ethereal spells, along with the ability to enchant his weapons to gain the upper hand in battle. But there is also something special about him. Richard is one of possibly many who are resistant to the lycanthrope infection that has plagued Noirlune for several months. This in turn not only makes him a noble swordsman, but also a werewolf hunter as well, two titles that form a dangerous force to be reckoned with when put together.

One problem with your reserve, TFF:

*Humans are more oriented to magic and traditions, while vampires are more focused to technology and science.

So if ya wanna be what we all know in the real world to be a doctor, you're gonna have to be a vampire. You can be a human shaman, cleric or witch doctor though.

@MI: Would molten silver applied directly to the bite work as a last resort? I was thinking it might counteract the effects of werewolves' bites for some reason since the werewolves themselves can't handle silver. Then again neither can vampires, really :/

Honestly, Aragorn...how difficult could it be?

@C4: Accepted, but I think I've already explained that our resistance is not immune to lycanthropy, not yet anyway~ So Richard will be considered more or less alone in that regard. ^_^

@Admiral: Hey, it's perfectly fine. *points to Renegade's character, who wound fit better as a vampire*

She doesn't have to be super-great at this stuff, though maybe she can incorporate some healing magic into her technique, give it a little magi-science just to increase her effectiveness.

I actually thought of that. I figured she could combine techniques from both so she can effectively treat both species.
For example, using the knowledge of both human and vampiric anatomy in conjunction with human healing spells and vampiric surgical practices to make operations easier and give a faster recovery time.

So yeah, basically what Merciful said.

Question.

What are the side effects of being a Vampire?

How does the sun affect you? Are you repelled by crosses? Can you not cross running water? Must you ask permission to enter a home?

Also, does silver have special properties against Werewolves? I'm going to be making an App no matter what, but I'm curious about these things, first.

Huh, never that of it like that. Also, I'm aware of Renegade's app; I just figured that his guy had flogged the pistols from a vampire armoury and learned how to use them... or something or along those lines (I'll probably have to read the bio again, 'cause I just skimmed it last time). Anyway, you didn't answer my question :I

Done.

Name: Alyria Selune

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Race: Werewolf

Faction: Werewolf

Alyria stands at a rather average height of 5'6" cm, not particularly tall, but she couldn't be called short either. She often carries her scythe around with a white leather baldric, it is slung from her right shoulder to the left side of her hip.
sample_19ccd81e20cba07182a6706096c02503f

Confident, snazzy and kind, Alyria is the type of person people look up to. She looks forwards with a certain fierceness and courage, ready to take on and take down whatever the future holds, whatever comes her way. Alyria naturally gets along with other people, her flair, her confidence, her aura of responsibility and trustworthiness, all contribute to her imminent popularity. However, her upbringing as a rich girl does leak through and she is very well-mannered and follows high-class etiquette, she sometimes, just for laughs, pretends to be a pampered rich girl and orders people around.

Alyria is an understanding person when it comes to pain and suffering. She will go out of her way to support those facing struggles because she has gone through them herself and she knows she could not have gotten through them whole without the help of those around her. Alyria is a selfless person, she is willing to sacrifice for the greater good or the good of others as others had done for her. Her main fear is that even if she did, it would make no difference.

Alyria sees the world in black and white and this allowed her to kill when necessary. When her rage has been invoked, when her sense of justice prompts her to do something, she will do it, she will go through it. Alyria is headstrong and not one to listen too closely to other's opinions. She is also rather unaware of how other people feel about things and thus is mostly unable to accommodate others, however, she can be a very encouraging and optimistic person when need be to persuade others to see things her way.

Childhood

Though born a spoiled, rich girl in a large city, her life became a turmoil as she turned 7. Her father was a rich businessman, rich enough to own half the city itself, but he spent a great amount of time abroad. Her parents argued and right before her eighth birthday, they broke up, her mother leaving for good, with another man and she was never to be seen by her ex-husband or daughter again. It was a horrible birthday present and no matter how many presents her father bought her, she could not be consoled. She turned into quiet, antisocial little girl, lost in a world of her own and she pushed everyone away from her and spurn any attempts people made to befriend her.

However, her father was a patient man who had the capacity for great kindness and sympathy, a man who learned from his mistakes. He didn't marry again, there was much he regretted with his ex-wife and he was determined to make up to his daughter. Slowly, that emotional iron wall around Alyria cracked and broke and Alyria finally got over her sadness at her mother leaving.

She began to make friends again, and slowly, she became popular, she had a certain flair, and with her upbringing she also brought class to the table. Her life had done a U-turn, she changed from an unhappy, anti-social person to the most popular girl in school. However, this happiness could not last. Poor Alyria, at the age off 14, suffered her father's assassination at the hands of a crime syndicate who wanted to take over the city.
Stand Up... and fall down.

Her grief gave in to rage. Fueled by hate, she took the reins from her dead father and attempted to defy the crime syndicate on her own. She went on the offensive, using her father's money to hire mercenaries to exterminate her enemies. She may well have succeeded, if not for the betrayal of her own staff. They had been promised a share the Selune family fortune if they got rid of her. She managed to survive their assassination attempt grace to her butler, who had remained loyal, notified her of their plot and helped her escape. Unfortunately, he himself was not so lucky and was caught by a stray bullet during their getaway.

Alyria fled. She had promised the butler that she would not attempt to fight the syndicate on her own and Alyria swore that she would gather the power to take them down. Alyria wandered Lath, homeless and desperate for money, for about a year. It was difficult for a girl like her, who was used to luxury and cushions, to adapt to this, but she was a survivor.

Alyria found work as a bounty hunter. By divine providence or complete chance, she encountered one. A killer... who only targeted evil, who hunted the wicked and assisted in taking down a criminal. She managed to convince the bounty hunter to take her in as an apprentice. Natalia became her guardian and almost a surrogate mother to her.
Sadness Strikes Again

A bounty hunter's life could end at any moment, any time, and ultimately, on a particularly foolhardy mission, which happened in Noirlune, the bounty hunter had sacrificed herself so that Alyria could get away.

Once more, Alyria found herself alone. Desolately, she found herself in an abandoned alley, utterly exhausted from running and having lost the will to walk on, she was an easy target for the scum of society. Thugs came at her, and she was too tired to defend herself. But, she was rescued.

The Sentinel, they called themselves, a vigilante society of Noirlune and surrounding towns, consisting completely of outcast young men and adolescent boys, many of them victims of villainy, like Alyria herself. What they lacked in skill, finesse or resources, they made up for spirit and their sense of justice. Alyria joined them, she taught them as much as she could of what she learned while she was a bounty hunter, she transformed the rabble into a formidable force and she found herself as their leader.
Most Recently

The werewolf curse began and Alyria and her gang helped in tracking and hunting them down, but, unless they were truly evil, rather than killing them, they captured them and turned them loose into the mist. Against a particularly powerful werewolf, a serial killer who wielded the power of magic and science along with his claws, a former mad scientist, he had himself genetically enhanced. They managed to take it down, but not without casualties. Three of their number had been taken down and Alyria herself got bitten. With the serial killer's hyper-accelerated genes infused in that bite, she had been immediately transformed. She hid this from the others. She knew it was too late for her, she already felt the effects and she fled. As a werewolf, she would only be a danger to her friends.

Howling, she ran into the mist.

Scythe: A medium-grade magically enhanced weapon that responds to magic with extreme cutting capabilities connected by a chain to a cuff on her wrist. Its blade is made of anointed silver. She wears a white leather baldric to hold it on her back. She can control its trajectory with magic by channelling power through the chain.

Alyria dislikes using her werewolf form and uses the skills she learned from Natalia as a bounty hunter. Alyria takes advantage of her versatility, her range and her ability to attack from all angles with her unpredictable scythe.

Against a more powerful enemy, Alyria starts off flitting back and forth with Jump Circles and keeping her distance while throwing her scythe and figure her opponent out. Only when she sees an opening will she close in to attack.

Against most people, she can just charge in, keep enemies at bay with her long scythe and push them back, while relying on her fast reflexes.

Motorcycle: A white motorcycle that can be sped up with magic. It has wall-running abilities and turbo-boosters on the back. It runs on both fuel and magic, the handlebars are like circuits which you can dump magical energy into.

Dual Sword-Pistols: A pair of identical white pistols that fire mana bullets. Two short bayonet-like blades are attached to the ends of them.

Werewolf Transformation: Alyria transforms into a lean, white-furred werewolf, while she looks very powerfully built, her werewolf form really just has a lot of fur. She grows in height to be 6'6" and gains enhanced speed and the increase in her strength is minimal. Her control over the transformation is also very little and she only uses it as last resort and takes advantage of the extra speed.

Jump Circle: A circle made of magic appears beneath her feet and acts as an extremely springy platform in midair, it more or less shoots her forwards. She can only do it three times before she must jump off a real surface, however, if she is near high structures, she can more or less fly using this technique.

Magic: Her ability in magic is miscellaneous, she only learned what was necessary for a bounty hunter or assassin, such as basic manipulation of magical objects, like her motorcycle, as well as passive, physical ability boosts but it would turn out that she has a proficiency with ice magic and she has just began to experiment with it. All she can do at the moment is make it cold around her while she is partially unaffected by the cold herself, it can be useful for cooling down on a hot day or making opponent's uncomfortable and eventually slow because of the cold.

Despite all attempts and her great enthusiasm for it, Alyria is a terrible cook. She will try whenever possible, but those around her learn very quickly that it is a bad idea to let her go anywhere near the kitchen.

Alyria is an active person who participates in sports and gymnastics rather than reading or sitting around.

Yay, an Ojou-chan~! Looking forward for your app, Divadis.

That might work. I mean, you can't exactly administer it since I imagine molten silver would hurt like hell, but it might just kill the lycanthropic venom spreading about.

Vampires are their own race. They are biological creatures with biological organs and not transformed humans. Basically, they're like humans, but with paler skin, greater density, stronger senses, and blood's like alcohol to them (mainly the iron in it). They can walk out in the sun without problem, but are more nocturnal-oriented.

There's gonna be a lot of science fiction in this RP, so illogical things will remain illogical. Unless you throw in Angels and Demons, which I suppose is acceptable.
