Loyalist Posted March 30, 2013 Report Share Posted March 30, 2013 How it works: You banish 1 Monster you control, then after a set amount of turn, during the standby phase of that turn (regardless of the turn player) the Temporal Monster is temporal (time) summoned. The level of the Temporal Monster must match the level of the banished monster when it is BANISHED not when it is face-up on the field (level modding on the field does nothing :angry:). After the successful Temporal Summon the banished Monster is placed underneath the card (sort of like Xyz Materials). This is could binding (oppisite called unbinding) and the once banished Monster is now bound to the Temporal Monster. [spoiler='Rulings and stuff']The first turn counts as one of the turns for the summon and the turns include both player's turns just not yours (like the Final Countdown). If you try to Summon more than 1 in a turn then they will start a chain (much like dark worlds). Temporal Summons are Special Summons. The card must remain banished for a Temporal Summon (so no tokens and any cards like D.D. survivor). The ruling that the Monster's level is determined when banished means trap Monsters will no longer have levels as they are treated as traps when banished so are no longer Monsters meaning you can't use them for a Temporal Summon. Also got a few questions. 1st, when you want to banish the monster do you announce or show that monster in any way? Also does banishing start a chain? It shouldn't as it don't require any othercards to summon (like how some monsters and fusions/rituals start a chain when using additional cards). Some very valid points - Yes I will add in that they are Temporal Monsters but I don't know what font the damn thing is in so it would require some careful editing. Yes I should say that you must reveal the Temporal Monster in question. The banishing doesn't start a chain, by starting chains I ment that if multiple Temporal Monster were to be summoned in 1 standby phase they would work through a chain of summons like dw works through a chain of triggered effects (I'm not sure if that works but I will assume for now it does). Yes bound Monsters are pretty much the same as Xyz Materials - they are not however the same so cards like Temtempo would have no effect on them. ALOT of editing (Just put it at that lol) - I used MS paint and Photoshop if you wanted to know :) And thanks, I'm thinking of maybe making a fanfic or RP using these as the main cards (like Zexal uses Xyzs and 5Ds uses Synchros). If anyone is interested I could give a template for the cards or you could create written cards (with a link to an image provided) and I could create Temporal Monsters for you guys ^^ But the Template would require you guys to do editing to get text in ect.
