Before anyone starts saying "Icksynchro", Xynchro is pronounced "Zinc-row"

The Synchros' effects either gain power from treating Xyz monsters as Level 0 while using them as Synchro Materials, or get a different effect by coming out as an Xyz. The twin bosses are Summoned by combining the Xyz and Synchro mechanics. Synchro Summon addition using Ranks and Levels as equals; overlaying them in the case of "Omnitrellis, Xynchro Overlord of Antimatter".

Think of these as more like the Arcana Force monsters. As a core Deck, those are FAR too luck-based to ever be viable, but individually as support cards, they can make games. Similarly, Xynchro is designed as a similar group of monsters that can support other Extra Deck-centered builds, and maybe if the player has some skill in Deck-building (rather than just taking everything off of deck-list.com and killing the spirit of the game) they might be able to make Xynchro their Deck Core... but that is far from a priority on my end.

I don't really want to state any combos with these cards, as I want people to THINK when they play. But I can give an example of how the mechanics work. (This has been added to the initial post as well.) This is because self-contained archetypes make the game boring as f*** to me, since there's no surprise anymore.

Say your field is a Dark Resonator (Level 3 Tuner), and 3 Xyz monsters of inconsequential Rank and you have an empty hand. In your Graveyard are 2 D.D. Warrior Lady. Your turn comes and you draw a D.D. Assailant (Level 4).

In your Extra Deck is Xandrose, Xynchro Knight.

Normal Summon D.D. Assailant, and Tune Dark Resonator to him. 3 + 4 = 7

Since Xyz Monsters have no Level, they don't affect the math of the Synchro Summon at all. You can thus add them on to the Synchro Material, if you so choose, thanks to the Material listing on Xandrose, Xynchro Knight reading "+ 0 or more Xyz Monsters".

You send the Synchro Material and the optionally used Xyz Monsters at the same time, and Synchro Summon Xandrose from your Extra Deck.

Xandrose, Xynchro Knight's effect activates upon his Summon's success. Assuming you sent all 3 Xyz Monsters as Synchro Material, Xandrose then allows you to Summon both D.D. Warrior Lady (1, 2) and the D.D. Assailant (3) you just sent as Material since all 3 of them are Level 4 and Warrior-type.

Interesting idea. Although if these cards did exist the idea of using Tuners, etc and XYZ is kinda weird (Monster + Monster = XYZ + Tuner + Monster= Xynchro????) but I'd use these cards in a friendly deck. Again, interesting idea I'd like to see more of these maybe. Suggestion: Maybe have a few cards that have effects that activate based on XYZ material?

No, it's 1 tuner + 1 non-tuner non-Xyz Monster = Xynchro monster Synchro Summon
or
1 tuner + 1 non-tuner non-Xyz Monster + up to 3 Xyz monsters = Xynchro Monster Synchro Summoned with power-ups

3 Xyz monsters make Yulina require 4 kills to finally be rid of her, circumvented by Solemn Warning, Solemn Judgment, Light-Imprisoning Mirror, or Compulsory Evacuation Device.

3 Xyz monsters also lets Xandrose Summon 3 allies to assist, as long as they are Warriors.

and 3 Xyz monsters turn a Synchro Summoned Zegmaier into a mini-Soul Release. If he's Summoned through his Xyz mode, he can call one of the other two out of the grave to help on Defense.

I'd love to make more, but there's only so many ways to put the color-inverted concentric Synchro Rings on the images. It's the Xynchro Archetype logo. (Like the symbol on all the Steelswarms and Evilswarms, or the Gustos, etc) I'm opening this Archetype's thread up to anyone who wants to try and make a card for it. All I ask is that the fanfiction Lore for this group I thought up is maintained.

That Lore is quite simple:
At some point in the past, the Different Dimension Gate and Ally of Justice Cosmic Gateway got their transdimensional signals crossed when Kozaki opened a Monster Gate set for the Duel Terminal world too close to the D.D. Gate. As a result an entire village on either side was sucked into the void between dimensions, thought dead by all others.

There, matter and antimatter were functionally neutral and didn't nuke each other if they came in contact. The villagers from both universes learned from each other to harness the powers of both antimatter, from the Duel Terminal world, and matter, from the original Duel Monster universe. (Explored through every card art featuring a character connected to the Gagagigo series, for more info here, just read the Trivia pages for Gagagigo's various stages on yugioh.wikia.com )

After generations spent in the new world, the villagers lost any concept of having been originally from seperate universes, adopting the name "Xynchro", and eventually returned to the Duel Monster world with their own "Xynchro Gate", since by that time, the Duel Terminal World was erased by the Genesis Star God, Sophia, rebooting the universe. And now the Xynchro live among those in the Duel Monster world.
I'll be making Xynchro Gate tomorrow, from there, it's open to public submission.
COLLABORATIVE ARCHETYPE THREAD GOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Cannot be Special Summoned except by its own effect. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material monster for a Synchro Summon if its Level is not 3. If this card is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of a "Xynchro" monster, Special Summon this card during your next Standby Phase. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can treat this card as any Level 1 to 5.

The community at large may now start adding cards to this Archetype, this thread is open for it. I'll still be adding as ideas come to me, but that happens slowly and this thread will get necro'd if I wait for those.
Oh I know that it's XYZ + Tuner + non-tuner. It's just that a dedicated Deck would need a lot of monsters. That's why I said it was kinda weird.

OT: New card is interesting I would just lower its defense to 1300 just seems more balanced imo. But "This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material except if its Level is 3." Confuses me because either it relates to the card itself or the "Xychro" monster. Imho remove that effect or change to: This card can only be used as Xyzchro material...(along those lines).

EDIT: I would create some but I'm currently using a phone for Internet access atm and I have no clue when my internet will be back.

• Inflict damage to your opponent equal to this card's ATK. This damage is treated as Battle Damage. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.

As for animation for anime appearances, the white-armored girl hits LP, the black-armored man pops cards, and they fight monsters in the Battle phase by double-teaming.

Very cool concept...

Suggestion: Perhaps you could call it Xynchro Summon? But that might not work...oh well, just a suggestion.

Honestly, I couldn't do that in good faith, since these are just Synchro Summons that happen to use XYZ Monsters as Level 0s.
At best, Xynchro Summon can be a colloquial term for this particular type of Synchro Summon, like how I call it a "Chaos Summon" for the Summon of BLS-EotB, Lightpulsar Dragon, Chaos Sorceror, etc.

your synchro cards dont work... fundamentaly XYZ monsts dont have a level, but oddly enough with a lack of a level that actually means they are NOT level 0, synchro monsers deal exclusivaly with a level.

if you want them to work, convert a rank to level, swapping 1 star for a different is the same as changeging earth to fire, dragon to aqua, this happend in Zexal TV series so its leagal.

or just say "An equivilent rank" as its wording, allowing you to use a rank monster as synchro matrial

("1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters + 1 or more equivilent rank Xyz monster(s)")

but the above would mean a XYZ monster rank would contribute as an equivlent level to tank

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-tuner monsters + 0 or more Xyz Monsters
I'm aware Ranks and Levels aren't the same. The Ranks aren't contributing unless Rentillia or Omnitrellis is the monster being Synchroed. In which case their Summon is a written-on-card special method like the VWXYZ series of Machine-type Fusions. Xyz Monsters aren't necessary at all.

The Xyz that get Summoned as Synchro Monsters are treated as Synchros with the Level equal to their printed Rank. I guess I'll just make the text smaller by printing that on all of them instead of just Synchronus.

I think the concept is very interesting, but could use more elaboration on how exactly they work and how they play. Like examples of combos you would use, so I can better understand the text.

I don't really want to state any combos with these cards, as I want people to THINK when they play. But I can give an example of how the mechanics work. (This has been added to the initial post as well.) This is because self-contained archetypes make the game boring as fuck to me, since there's no surprise anymore. Think of these as more like the Arcana Force monsters. As a core Deck, they are FAR too luck-based to ever be viable, but individually as support cards, they can make games.

3gPwWI6.jpg

Equip only to a "Xynchro" Synchro or Xyz Monster. The equipped Monster is treated as both an Xyz Monster and a Synchro Monster. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: Attach 1 monster whose Level is equal to the Rank and/or Level of the equipped monster from your hand or Graveyard to the equipped monster.

--------

While Xandrose and Yulina are valid targets to equip, they do not benefit at all, It's really better spent on Henvilsaiko or Cantillos.
