Yugioh: Return of the Numbers

 

Hey, I got bored and thought, "Hey I could start an RP!" This one takes place after Zexal, so Xyz monsters are a go. Everything else you would need to know can be found in the spoilers.

This takes place about 100 years after Zexal in Neo Domino City, which, after large amounts of time, degenerated into a somewhat dystopian society, with the management of Neo Domino controlled by a corrupt organization known as RAVEN. The majority of society lives in poverty, with most of the city in similar conditions to what the Satellite district was like back in the days of 5Ds. The events that took place in the original series, GX, 5D’s, and Zexal are pretty much common knowledge, and serve to inspire those who were damaged by society with their stories of underdogs rising to fame and success through dueling. Recently, Number cards have begun appearing throughout the city (and the rest of the world), revealing themselves to worthy (or maybe unworthy…?) duelists. Many who saw these “Numbers” remembered them as the cards that so commonly won games in the World Duel Carnival a century ago, and hastily added them to their decks, hoping to ascend to supremacy. RAVEN knows the true power of these number cards, and seeks to collect them to gain access to other dimensions. As a ploy to gather the cards (since in this world setting up a large scale cover-up competition with thousands of participants is somehow easier than just robbing the people) RAVEN manipulated Neo Domino’s mayor into creating the Diamond Cup. This large-scale tournament holds the promise of riches and glory for the winner, and also serves as an opportunity for number hunters to find their prey.

Appearance: Kagaku is thinly built, weighing only about 140 lbs. for his 6'3" height. The tips of his fingers are mildly scarred as a result of burns - both electrical and chemical - that he comes upon in his line of work. He has pale white skin: a result of spending much of his time cooped up inside fluorescent-lit labs. His overall appearance could be described as distracted, with tired eyes often covered by unkempt grey hair: the lack of pigment being nothing more than a genetic abnormality.

Kagaku lives in his lab, and as such is always dressed for work: wearing a long, slightly worn lab coat as well as a pair of silver welding goggles around his neck. He wears a complex-looking watch like device that can serve various functions. This watch was supplied to him as a benefit for working the Neo Domino government. He is one of the few is not being crushed by society, and despite his lazy fashion, is extremely clean. As a random detail, he walks around in sandals, as he finds "proper" shoes to be uncomfortable

Personality: Kagaku is not accustomed to large amounts of human interaction, though at the same time he is a kind and caring man. He is socially awkward and quirky, not quick to understand why people do the things they do. As a researcher, he views everything at face value and is very easily confused by sarcasm and figures of speech that do not make literal sense. He avoids talking to people, as when he does he has a habit of trying to explain his research, which only ends in disaster. His "Number" card amplifies his curiosity, as well as his frustration toward his lack of understanding.

History: Kagaku Hakken was not born in Neo Domino. Rather, he was born in a different area of Japan, where conditions were much better. As a child, he excelled at dueling, and quite possibly could have gone pro if not for a specific job offer he received when he was 18, after he made a science demonstration at a public works center. A RAVEN scout representing Neo Domino's government found him and convinced him to relocate to Neo Domino to lead research on the nature of the "Number" cards. Hoping to make a difference, he accepted the offer.

After he settled into his new job, he quickly began to realize that things were not quite right. He quietly conducted his own private investigation into RAVEN, but quickly decided that the research he was conducting was more important than his personal paranoias and dropped it where it was. Through his research, he learned the nature of the "Numbers" as well as the existence of the Barian Plane. Through him RAVEN learned the same. Walking from a local grocery store back to the lab, Kagaku noticed a glint of light in a nearby bush. His curiosity overwhelming his hunger, he set down his bags and crawled through the brush. Picking up the object, he realized it was a blank Xyz monster, though as he scratched his chin he saw the image and name appear: Number 112: Particle Processor. He kept this secret from everyone, knowing that numbers had sinister origins.

Appearance: A very good looking teenage boy with blue spikey hair his height is around 5'10 to 6'0.He weights around 135 pounds. Akira  has a scar on the side of his face which he cannot figure out were he got it from. He wears a Dark Blue Leather Jacket opened and has a white shirt on with white baggy jeans and black sneakers. Akira carries around a ring with his parents name ingraved in it as it was the only thing he could remember them by. He also has chains attached to the pockets of his pants.

Akira sports a D-Gazer integrated to his eye and his duel disk is customized to look like Yuma's in white and blue. His deck box is attached to the side of his pants just like every other duelist its color is red. Akira also sports a school outfit from time to time. It usually consist of buttoned down white shirt, tight black jeans, brown shoe's and a school given red d-gazer (he doesn't wear though) and a yellow and black duel disk. Akira also wears wristbands as he wear them from inspiration from his favorite show on television called Rise of the Hero Duelist.

Personality: Akira is a caring/loner type. Akira is usually ecstatic to duel and finds that dueling for the wrong reasons isn't something he can go with. Akira has a deep love for dueling and usually seen at a duel ground challenging anyone he deems worthy. Unlike others Akira can barely resist the influence of the numbers though at time it may take him over when he becomes to serious for a duel. Akira can also be quite clueless sometimes especially educational quiz's but in his time of need Akira can anaylize anything though it may come in great difficulty. Akira can't make a good joke for the love of him there maybe one or two times he could make a good joke but it's just no i can't even.

Akira also has a deep love for the poor parts of Neo Domino City as he was treated like family when he arrived there all he can ever think about is to repair  their current status. Akira is also terrible at reading people feelings or body language when it comes to being social though this insistently changes when he duels. When Akira duels seriously there is switch flipped on him he feels nothing but the urge to win. These Urges drove Akira to life and to were he is today. Akira also has lapses of in his memory reminding him of what happened when his parents died and why he has something to do with it. These dreams actually cause Akira to go crazy and wake up in the middle of night and start dueling people without his knowledge this maybe due to the Numbers effect on Akira as he constantly summons them. Akira may also still have the habbit of child as he still watches Anime this maybe due to his love for manga and anime it's also because of this love he is usually nicknamed the "Baka Otaku".

History: Akira Was born in Heartland City but moved at the age of 5 to Neo Domino City his parents worked at the organization of RAVEN but were later killed in a mysterious car accident. .After there death Akira couldn't find any happiness he was abandoned and no one in his family wanted anything to do with him.  Then one day a mysterious card landed in front of him Akira picked it up and too his surprise it was Number 38 a card he heard about from his parents. This Card gave him hope that it may be the change in his life will happen. To His surprise it did he was able to find a broken down house to live in and ever since he has been able to provide for himself. As he grew older he started to duel he  was able to harness more cards including Neo Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon. These Cards have helped Akira in his life and helped him get his love for dueling.

As Akira grew older he started see things other shouldn't have.He saw death destruction and poverty. These Things had disgusted him to the point were he would almost pass out everytime he saw it.Akira finally relized that he should help these people that they shouldn't suffer the way they do now.This is Akira motivation to duel at the Diamond Cup. Now at the age of 17 Akira attends high school and plans on entering the Diamond Cup in hopes of providing for those who don't have home and also for his love of dueling. Akira hopes to put all his heart into dueling in the Diamond Cup and hopefully coming out successful. Akira: I do this for the polluted people in Neo Domino City the One's Everyone Forgets.

Personality: Although on first glance he looks to be a kind fun-loving guy who is able to make friends easily, Desu can come off as a hothead and despite being intelligent, he argues with anyone who disagrees with his opinion with a resonable argument even if their opinions are feasible because like anyone, Desu doesn't want to lose an argument. During a duel, Desu has been shown to respect his opponents as he was taught by not only his parents, but his duel instructors too, and he would only resort to trash talking should he get provoked. Despite being a hothead, Desu has been shown to care for his friends and would go out of his way to protect them from gangsters or anyone who tries to threaten them.

History: Desu was born in Kyoto and his parents usually travelled on long journeys due to their work and so Desu had to be looked after by relatives living nearby during these periods. When he became 11 years old, his parents sent Desu to a prestigeous duel prep school in Tokyo complete with dormitories on campus, so they wouldn't have to worry about him as much as they would normally would. Whilst there, he learned about the origins of duel monsters and got advice on building his Noble Knight deck by the instructors.
When he returned home at the age of 17, he wanted to tell his parents that he wanted to be a pro duelist and that entering the upcoming Diamond Cup in Neo Domino would be a great start, but all he found was a box containing a custom made duel disk resembling a DiaDhank which he was grateful for as he enjoyed studying the origins of duel monsters. I seemed as if his parents went on another journey but after closer inspection there were signs of a break-in. What Desu didn't know is that his parents were kidnapped by RAVEN agents who seemed to have been after the Number card that his parents had acquired on their travels but they never found it, instead it was found by Desu in a place that RAVEN never looked - hidden inside a book in Ms. Yuja's chest of draws. Instead it was Yuja who found the card - Number 104: Masquerade Magician - Shining and has vowed to find his parents' kidnappers.

Name: Bailas Gale

Appearance: Bailas a tall (6’1”) Indian looking man with dark, olive skin, slate-grey eyes, and short, white hair with two braids that are adorned with beads. He keeps his head wrapped in a plain turban and wears a green sherwani with a yellow and white sash over plain churidars. His hands and feet tend to be quite callous thanks to his constant need to go barefoot when he is doing you and the vast amount of training he underwent from his days at the temple. His skin though does not look apparently wrinkled for someone is age. Most likely due to the fact that his constant meditation and need for quiet and serenity lead to a pretty stress free life. For accessories, he wears silver hoopearrings and a decorative bindi. His duel disk is actually one of the first old retro battle city duel disk that had to be retrofitted to be compatible with the standard technologies of modern day dueling.
Personality: Bailas Gale is a firm practitioner of Zen Buddhism and yoga and believes that everything can be solved by find its balance and its center. Through deep breath and meditation one can find the true answers to all of life’s mysteries. He does not believe in anger for it can possibly misalign your chakras and your chi flow. Due to his intense meditation he believes that all things are best when they are quiet. Noise clutters the air it pollutes your senses and because of such it too contorts your chi flow. Thanks to his beliefs it is hard for him to socialize with the younger crowd or be it loud people in general. This is most likely because he has a bad habit of completely tuning out all noise once it gets over a certain decibel. This especially goes for loud people talking and though there is no malice in his actions people do take being tuned out the wrong way. Therefore most of his friends are yoga buddies who meet at a neighborhood gym mostly the same age and mostly the same interest.
Bailas believes that there is a use for everything and that everything has a purpose in life. If it doesn’t why would it exist in the first place? Bailas constantly searches for use in what others would deem useless leading him to spend many a time trying to help people find employment or learning about softer spoken people. When actually playing thecard game he surprises his opponents with his intricate knowledge of the game. It’s not that he is overtly smart it’s just that he can keep up with higher level terminology like game state, replays, or foregoing priority. This is clearly do to his own deck of little creatures that are oddly worded and may or may not miss timing therefore he learned about such.
History: Bailas Gale was born in a Temple located in the middle of a foreign land much similar to Tibet. There he was raised on the simple lifestyle of meditation, yoga, eating the bare essentials of life. As a child he was always taught to respect everything and everyone. There were no initial problems because that is how everything was in this humble village simple. There wasn't any noise pollution unless it came from newborn babies, but that wasn’t truly noise it was the gift of life. It was in his early childhood that Bailas found a strange attraction to the Lotus flower. A flower that took a legendary amount of time to bloom, the epitome of patience and virtue, yes this is what he aspired to be as an adult. Of course this temple was entirely old school meaning that Bailas wouldn’t be introduced to the finer points of living until he would leave the temple and start his own journey at the age of 18 (roughly when one would graduate high school).
As he matriculated through higher education he immersed himself in the popular activity of card games. And due to his peaceful yet disciplined up bringing he was quite good at mechanics of the game. Unfortunately people have a certain knack to pick decks and play cards that suit them as a person. Bailas did not have such luck. Most cards were extremely wordy, too overtly powerful, or combined to make a series of rather depressing loops that did not foster any creativity and bought out the worst in mankind. He then decided to try to use cards that no one else really wanted and it seemed that everyone looked down on level one monsters. It was then he discovered his “Birds” and their beautiful bird like goodness. Needless to say his university years were filled with epic card making conquest.

As time passed he lived what he would define a peaceful life, he found someone to love fathered a couple of children and made his way in life. It was one day that he was walking in his peaceful neighborhood and he saw some kids playing in the park. Doing like kids do they were trading and bragging about card games. One kid got so noticeably mad that he threw his deck on the ground and walked off with the other students angry. This naturally disheartened Bailas seeing as all things organic and inorganic had a purpose this meaning. The majority of his collection excluding his deck was given away to the underprivileged there was no need to ever have such waste. Bailas naturally went over to the discarded cards after all the kids cleared the area and just began to look at them. Oddly enough it was Mystic Piper deck centered on level one monsters. He chuckled as this brought back memories. Eventually he came across a card with a number on it and he could feel the weird energy surging through it. With a warm smile he noticed the number 54 appear on his hand. With that he decided that he could at least try to incorporate some of these cards in his old deck and make sure the rest have a decent home somewhere.
 Bailas was actually invited to participate in the Diamond Cup though he couldn't fathom or understand why. He couldn't figure out why in the slightest. He never played in a seemingly professional aspect...ever. So his name shouldn't even be on anyone's radar. Nevertheless it happened and he has chosen to participate. While on his way to the tournament location he has arranged assistance from a neighboring pen pal at a wellness center in Neo Domino City.

Personality: She is a kind nice spirit. She almost has no hate for anyone except the people who pretend to be her friend. She has a fear of failing those around her which drives her to do things. She is more of a fan of watch others duel and learning than actually dueling. She has no confidence in her own dueling ability. She also is very supportive of all the people she knows.  She also has a tendency of helping people with any problem they have. She also has a tendency to want to learn what other people can do. She has a tendecy to not noticing the emotion of those around her. She hates when people make fun of others and pick on the weak. She has a dueling style of waiting for her chance to take her shot. She sees a dueling as a fun and dose not register anything during her duels. She also has great memory as she can remember a person deck just by seeing them use the cards in their deck. She has this amazing Memory for duel monsters but out side of that she has a pretty bad memory.
History: She was not born in new domino city but she was born close enough that she had always wanted to visit the city. She lived in such a small town that did not have many duelist but the few it did have were very good at it. She had a rough start when she begain dueling due to the fact that no one wanted to help her learn the game. She was able to throw togather a deck using the little money she got for allowance every week. She slowly built a deck to start out with and was able to beat most of the kids that were around her age. She still had trouble with the older kids who were building more advance decks and prepairing for comptitions and not helping the the younger kids. She soon ran in to a kid who was slightly older than she was and he helped her build her current deck and keep it up to date. 
 He had made it to be one of her friends and he was one of the best at his age. She looked up to him for all her dueling experiance. She was spent all her time with him Before he left for a tournament and was gone for almost a year after the tournament ended. She figured that she would have to attempt to figure out what happened to him. She found out that he had been compeating alot before returning to the town. He had made sure to bring her something from his travals but he did not tell her what it was. He had no idea what he was giveing her it was a number card that he had recived from a random stranger. She was so elated when she got the card she put it in her deck. The people in her town soon heard about the big tournment in new donino city and decied to pay for one of their residents trip to the tournament. She was slightly pressured into the tournament by most of her friends who were entering. She had not expected to have as much succsess she had. She had made it all the way through her towns tounarnament as she had made it to the last round to see her opponent was the man who gave her the number card. She had not been paied attention to the tornemnt lay out and when it came down to it her last opponent was her friend. She had a long hard fought duel with him but she in the end came out the victor. She had not expected it so after the duel she packed and headed for the real deal in new domino city.

Personality: For Theodore Roosevelt, "speak softly and carry a big stick" was more than just a catch phrase. Actually, for Theodore Roosevelt, voice wasn't just sound or speech, it was meant to be a legacy for those in the future. In politics, he unabashedly pounded his policies and theories into his fellow countrymen, convincing them to act with diplomacy while maintaining the threat of military action in the background, and this has translated to his attitude as the commander of the most advanced magitech interdimensional vessel ever conceived. To him, character is the very definition of a man. Overcoming his asthmatic, sickly childhood years through vigorous exercise and unyielding determination, he frequently applies this incomparable work ethic to other areas of his life. His dedication to 'playing fair' led to the reform of various corrupt government offices and organizations, as well as the 'busting' of the biggest corporate trusts of U.S. history, and his tenacity in the face of adversity as he rose through the ranks of Neighborhood Watch.
History: Teddy Roosevelt (or Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. as he was formally known) was the 26th President of the United States. For Theodore Roosevelt, New York was home for most of his life. Born to Theodore "Thee" Roosevelt, Sr. and Martha "Mittie" Bulloch on October 27, 1858, he began life as the child of privilege and wealth. From the time he was a child, his nickname only allowed for use by family and very close friends was: "Teddy". During his earliest years, Teddy was a sickly, asthmatic boy who couldn't seem to thrive. Confined to his home for a majority of the time, his father brought in tutors to instruct Teddy in all of his subjects. As young Teddy grew, his father warned that his mind was strong but his body was too weak. He had a gym installed at the home, and brought in exercise instructors, eventually allowing his weak son to grow into a stout and hardy young man.
Theodore attended college at Harvard, where he received an A.B. degree (1880). He also attended Columbia Law, but dropped out of school to pursue political office. At the age of 23, he officially became a politician, after being elected to the New York State Assembly. After the heartbreaking and sudden death of his first wife in February 1884, two days after the birth of their daughter (Alice) – the same day his mother died – he took a trip to the Badlands of North Dakota, where he learned to love cattle ranching. After returning from the Badlands, he continued to rise in politics.
From 1897-98 he was Assistant Secretary of the Navy, helping to orchestrate the Spanish American War. Once the war began, he resigned and formed the Rough Riders, an all-volunteer military cavalry, who helped win that war. From 1899-1900 he was the 33rd Governor of New York; his Lieutenant Governor was Timothy Woodruff.
Finally, he became the 25th vice president of the U.S. in March 1901, serving with President William McKinley. However, when President McKinley was assassinated in September 1901, Teddy became the youngest U.S. president (at the age of 42). He served as president from 1901-09, using the office to establish nature conservation, hisBig Stick foreign affairs policy, and countless social reform programs.
On his deathbed, he was spirited away by Neighborhood Watch and replaced by a flash-cloned body that actually died. Instead, Roosevelt was revived and given a commission as a Captain by Neighborhood Watch in order to eventually better manage their fleet of universe-hopping ships. He rose meteorically through the ranks, and is now a Vice Admiral controlling the NWTDNS-NNC-0000 And With Strange Aeons, an incredibly advanced and powerful timeship. Unfortunately, due to temporal anomalies, the Aeon has “landed” off the coast of Neo Domino, carefully hidden underneath the surf. In addition to an assortment of repairs, the ship requires a new guidance system, as theirs simply no longer exists, and without a highly sophisticated intelligence to guide the ship’s Overload Cascade Drive, any assortment of horrible, terrible things may occur. As such, they have sent operatives Chris Muir and Atsuko Fudo into Neo Domino to unravel the secrets of RAVEN and recover something that they could use to fix the Aeon.

Personality: Hyo is usually a kind person but has a very short fuse, he can be annoyed by many little things and quirks, and when someone really tries to make him angry, he'll start swear at him and rambling in korean, he can even go for hours (not litteraly hours). Although what some people think when they see his deck, Hyo is not gay, but actually is passionate for desserts, and although he eats alot of sweets, he never seems to get fat. Hyo loves dueling and although he doesn't see it as a way of life, it became a big part of his life. Hyo hates physical fighting and animal abuse (this includes bugs). Hyo also likes painting, and is very good at it aswell.

History: Hyo grew in Korea in a O.K family both from a finnancial aspect and just being a non-corrupted family with a solid job, in his school, everyone played duel monsters, and he was also sucked into the game. He went trough alot of decks to find the one that fits him. In his childhood Hyo was a fat kid, but when he was around 15, and finaly found the deck that fit him, Madolche, he was inspired to get in shape because of dueling, and soon, he started training regularly. At around 16, His father was fired trying to prove that the owner of the company he worked for was a con master, and one thing led to another, he was being hunt down by the police, forcing them to move to Japan.

Hyo's family moved to Neo Domino City, where they were forced to live in the poor parts of the city, and his parents could not find a job, For a few years Hyo and his family tried and failed to find a job, One day, when walking trough a dark ally which some person told him was a shortcut to his home after failing to find a job and almost losing all hope of living normally, he found a card on the floor, a number card. That same day, he also heard of a big Duel Monsters tournament with a big cash prize, although in the past he tried to win cash prizes from these tournaments to help his family, he failed to, but he decided to give it another shot. He ended up winning the tournaments, and many tournaments after, gaining enough money to fund the family until his parents found decent jobs. and with the money he had saved up, he was able to move out and buy a shabby apartment of his own, it wasn't alot, just his own little place with the essentals. Soon after, he have heard of another big tournament called "The Diamond Cup", and decided he wanted to participate.

Appearance: Takama is a tall, well built man standing just a little shy of 2 meters. His most prominent features are his bright blond hair and icy blue eyes, easily making him the poster boy of pro-Aryan propaganda. He is a relatively pale individual, as a result of spending most of his life under the cover of snow. His hair is usually kept messy with a long ponytail extending far down his back, almost to his knee. His entire body is actually full of little scars and burn marks, but he always conceals them under his attire. 

Being the leader of a rebel group, Takama wears a special suit made out of kevlar, complete with a matching pair of loose military-style black pants. His most defining feature, though, is the coat that he wears. A black coat, covering almost his entire upper body with coat-tails hanging down to his shins. The inside of the coat is full of pockets, which he usually fills with pistols, ammo and various decks. He wears no specific duel disk/D-Gazer, instead opting to take one he finds around the area. 

Personality: Serious and focused - two words that describes Takama's personality best. He is an unusually serious fellow, never cracking a smile, let alone a laugh. He puts the completion of his task above all else. Well, except for the safety of innocents and his underlings. Takama has a strong sense of justice that drives him to do insane acts that simply defies any logical thinking. This, combined with his knight-like sense of duty and honor makes him a popular and inspiring leader. Years of living in secrecy makes him an extremely cautious man, he never leaves a trace of his whereabouts and rarely speaks truth towards people he doesn't fully trust. Despite his cold demeanor though, he is very protective and kind towards his subordinates in Sector Zero, treating them as if they are his own son. 

History: Born in the cold, outer wastelands of Neo Domino City, Takama doesn't really have much of a childhood to remember. He lived in poverty and spent most of the time running away from RAVEN officials sent to "retrieve" him and his parents. 16 years later, he joined RAVEN and his athletic abilities propelled him through the ranks of RAVEN's army, becoming a general just at the age of 23. Around this time though, he started to doubt RAVEN's alignment and the legitimacy of their actions. After witnessing what a hellhole his homeland actually is, Takama started to rebel against RAVEN. Little by little, he tried to stop RAVEN from doing more evil acts. After a while, he realized that his actions didn't do anything. So he, along with his entire platoon rebelled against RAVEN, forming it's own group which goes by many names. RAVEN calls them "Anarchists", Neo Domino City itself calls them the "Black Army", after their uniforms, as well as many, many other aliases. One of his main reasons for doing this is when he found the card "No. 93 Black Hail - Deus Ex Machina" following a raid in his old village. The card reminded him of the oppressive nature of RAVEN, which in turn made him despise it even further.  

The group, which operates under the code name "Sector Zero", focuses on one thing and one thing only - taking down RAVEN. With over 500 members composed of soldiers, spies and volunteers spread all over the world, SZ members are among the most wanted people inside RAVEN. So far their actions involve blowing up RAVEN outposts, sabotaging operations, as well as assassinating high-ranking members. Takama was personally involved in most of these attacks, all the while using different aliases to cover his tracks. "Takamagahara" was simply a code name he uses inside SZ.

After about 5 years of guerrilla warfare, he finally decided to end it once and for all. Hearing news of the World Duel Carnival, Takama sends several of his best duelists to infiltrate the carnival before the elite Black Hail squadron takes down RAVEN and their leaders. Himself registered as "Peter Alexei" in the WDC contestant list, he advances towards Neo Domino with a cigarette in his mouth and lighter in his pocket. Takama finally has a hope in the end of the tunnel.

Appearance: A boy on the verge of "adulthood" with a rather acrobatic build. He stands at 6'0". He has twin tattoos on his right wrist and ankle of a simple black line ring. He wears a long dark purple cloak with ripped a large hood, ripped/ragged ends on the bottom, and removed sleaves to showcase his arms. His torso is completely wrapped in bandages. On the lower half of his body he wears baggy black pants that are warn on the bottom of the pant legs. He wears an assortment of large jewelary of different kinds including but not limited to: a small necklace with a black/purple pendant attached, a larger necklace with a small mask pendant, several large rings on his fingers, and a silver bracelet on his right arm. He has a straight cut short blonde hair contrasting the dark outfit he wears. He constantly smiling often gazing almost into nothing. His eyes stare both at and through everything around him. Furthering his collection of random items he carries he has a strange silver-golden staff with a green jewel placed in its center; he is very overprotective of his staff and keeps it with him at all times, often swinging it around or playing with it, and even using it to assist him in certain situations. 
Personality: Firebrand is of genius level intellect and a grade-A duelist from America, and although these are facts he is still very irrational and random. Everything he does is often random or seemingly purposeless, but the things Firebrand does ultimately leads to what he wants. He found a number leading to his collecting and hunting of numbers, no one knows what his end goal is, or what he plans on doing with them, but only that he relentlessly hunts them down and often will begin to turn events so that he may collect more. His irrational ways are reflected in his dueling, even his own archetype is considered to be the most random archetype on the planet. His dueling is famous in North America, but is considered widely unknown to other areas of the world. He is an expert at psychological analysis and can often anticipate peoples actions or even their dueling by reading them. He detests the RAVEN organization for it's corrupt rule over much of this part of the world as well as their hindering of his numbers hunting.
History: Hailing from North America, not much is known about his early years. Firebrand showed up when he was just 14 on the pro dueling circuit with his number card and began to top easily within various North American tournaments; this was shortly followed by a rumors of him hunting down and collecting numbers outside of tournaments. His already odd personality and dueling style grew more and more extreme. He began becoming more and more distant from other players, and even other people. Moving into a chateau on his own private property. Firebrand soon gathered a large collection of numbers, complimenting his play style and amplifying his dueling powers. After dueling in most major tournaments in America he inevitably became the North American Dueling champion. After attaining this title he began touring other countries to duel and hunt numbers. 
Departing from his homeland of America he arrived in Japan aged 16 and began to search for numbers. He set up shop in the less privileged areas of this new country's Neo Domino City, which was certain to attract duelists for the Diamond Cup tournament. He has spent the past year honing his skills and hunting down and locating different number, preparing himself for the Diamond Cup hoping to assure a victory and collect all the numbers brought to the tournament. He has been making use of the locals by having them help him keep tabs on numbers holders, hunters, and the events revolving around them in order to hunt down numbers more efficiently, but unfortunately RAVEN has been a constant problem, often hindering his hunting or covering up evidence or events.

Appearance: Atsuko is a young woman with dark red hair flecked with teal streaks that is usually tied back into a long braid, with part of her bangs extended to cover the right side of her face. The eye that is visible is gold, contrasting with her pale skin. To further create contrast, especially with her partner Chris, Atsuko prefers a Gothic Lolitaensemble consisting of a red and black color scheme. Her blouse is primarily black blouse with a bell-shaped skirt that comes down to just above her knees, complete with ablack lace petticoat beneath that and red bloomers underneath those. Above the skirt is a black corset with crimson laces and a rose insignia on both sides. She has red stockings going down to black and red-laced ankle-high boots.
One interesting thing to note is her right arm and left leg. While her left arm is left with a black sleeve and red fingerless gloves, her right arm is entirely bound in an intricate series of black leather straps with locks, complete with a thick black leather glove. Similarly, her left leg has these straps and buckles going all the way to her boot. She wears a red cloak as well, to complete her outfit, and possesses a customized Chaos Duel Disk that is black with red accents.

Personality:  Atsuko is a very primal creature, who hates her vulnerability. Rambunctious and hot-headed, she can be quite impulsive and unruly. However, she is a savant, being surprisingly good at dueling, and having knowledge and wisdom that a girl of her age normally wouldn't. When calm, she can easily calculate how to win duels and solve problems, and can coordinate with Chris effectively, as he provides most of the muscle. However, they have a symbiotic relationship, as she needs him as much as he needs her. Due to her…condition…Atsuko occasionally suffers from episodes regarding her unique physiology, which she despises. Chris has learned to help the girl in a woman’s body learn to cope with what is happening to her.

History: Atsuko is the daughter of Itsu Fudo, who, in turn, is the daughter of Yusei and Akiza Fudo. Itsu is one of the founders of Neighborhood Watch, and has instructed the organization to look after her daughters, mostly Atsuko. When Atsuko was young, a conflict involving a crazed Orichalcos user resulted in Atsuko’s heart being replaced by one made out of the strange green crystal. Even though Archetype Earth was defeated, she gained the last laugh, as the girl has been forced to suffer for 14 long years as the Orichalcos permeates and fuses with her form. Atsuko is currently in the terminal stages of her condition, which at this point will either kill Itsu’s heir…or transform her into a new Great Leviathan.

After Atsuko ran away during one of her more clearer periods, with little trouble from her heart, Itsu gave Chris the task of looking after her. Since then, Atsuko has become the darkness to Chris’ light, and both have intense feelings for each other. Chris has been there for her as her condition has progressed, twisting her left leg, right arm, most of her torso, and part of her face into that of a monster. No one knows the inevitable outcome of her condition, but Chris will be there until the end. Now, with their ship crashed, Atsuko’s unique set of powers can help claim Numbers to repair and recharge the Aeon, before it’s too late.

Appearance: Chris has mixed Hispanic-Japanese heritage, with tan skin, spiky ebon hair, slight aquiline features, and sharp hazel eyes. He stands at a respectable 5’8” and weighs 204 pounds. He generally prefers to wear white and silver clothing resembling what a 1920s gangster would wear. The top of his head is usually covered with a white fedora with gold trim, making his spiky hair stick out from behind him. Over this fedora, he usually rests a pair of silver sunglasses with polarized gold lenses. His usual attire consists of a three-piece suit of white clothing though, depending on the lightning, faint silver designs can be seen. From his white loafers to his white pants to a dapper white suit with gold cuffs and a black tie with gold decals. In his breast pocket is an intricate gold fob watch with an emerald design on the exterior. And his hands are clad in white gloves with strange blue glowing circles on the palms. He carries a silver cane with similar blue details engraved into it.
This cane contains part of the ATEN System, a special all-in-one materiel/weapons package developed by Neighborhood Watch. The cane is made up of interlocking magitech metal plates powered by rod-like energy cores, and the plates can rearrange themselves into a variety of forms, though they exhaust themselves with repeated usage. Chris commonly transforms his cane into a Duel Disk to use against his opponents, complete with a digitalized Duel Disk.

Personality: Chris is no longer as headstrong and stubborn as he was a few years ago, and has since become a paragon of suave and coolness. He has retained his very strong moral compass, as well as kept his noble sense of honor and justice so he can be a sort of cyberpunk knight. He can get a bit cocky when he thinks that a duel is going his way, but he learns relatively quickly and can try to adapt and overcome. Also, he is rather polite, and is a master Number Hunter, even excelling at dueling. He shares a very close connection with Atsuko, as they have been together for quite some time, and some say they might even consider each other lovers, though neither will admit to that.

History: Originally from an alternate, mundane version of Earth where Duel Monsters is a rather successful card game and Yugi Mutou is the name of the anime based on Duel Monsters, Chris found himself sucked through a dimensional inversion and trapped on another world. Neighborhood Watch, the primary organization devoted to policing the local section of multiverse where he ended up, managed to recover him and integrated him into their programs. From that immense pool of potential candidates, Chris was further chosen by Itsu and Hikari Fudo to take on a vital task: being a protector and friend to Atsuko Fudo. Chris has a little sister he left behind of a similar age, and took the young psionic under his wing, not realizing the adventures they would undertake together.

Ten years later along their personal timelines, Chris and Atsuko are inseparable, one wielding shining magitech weapons of light, the other controlling incredible dark forces. However, the ship they were serving on, the And With Strange Aeons, have been sent out to Neo Domino to explore and find the parts needed to fix their ship, before theAeon can be discovered by any local factions, such as this mysterious RAVEN group. As such, the two, some of the best Number Hunters Neighborhood Watch has at their disposal, are off to participate in this tournament and collect Numbers to help out the Aeon.

Appearance: Jaret, although he is physically very strong, does not look to be as such, with thin arms and legs and white pale skin. He has deep bags under his eyes from the lack of sleep his career in the RAVEN organization entails. He stands fairly average at around five feet and eleven inches, weighing only one-hundred thirty pounds. This slightness causes him to look younger than he really is, with his expertise in lying allowing him to pass himself off as a child in the age range of seventeen to eighteen.

Although his position would have him wearing either a suit or a dramatically exaggerated super villain suit, he prefers a tee-shirt and jeans, mostly as they enhance his guise as a child. His dirty blonde hair is often covered by a baseball cap emblazoned with “I♥ND,” and he wears a fancy little exercising watch around his right wrist and duels with a standard-issue D-Pad and Gazer. His RAVEN uniform consists of a fringed trenchcoat on top of a subtle vest and shirt. He then would use his own custom duel disk, which appears similar to those used by Doma, however with more rounded edges and a sheen only seen on the shells of beetles.

Personality: By default, Jaret is a liar and a thief. He would much prefer for an underling to do a job for him than to do it himself, as it is generally safer and easier for him that way. His preferred position on the battlefield is right in with the enemy’s ranks, prepared to stab them in the back. His Number card, “Master Key Beetle” assists in this, with the ability to open near any lock as well as masking both the presence of Number cards on his person as well as his sinister intentions. He views most other people as nothing but pawns in his master plan, and wouldn’t think twice about killing his own teammate if it insured victory.

History: Jaret grew up in Neo Domino in what could most lightly be described as “not the best neighborhood” though a more accurate judgment would be a breeding ground for corruption and sadness. There was no hope for those who did not seize power where they could, and seize power Jaret did. When he was 14 he encounter the Number card known as Master Key Beetle while being chased by a gang leader. It allowed him to unlock the back door to a shop on the edge of the alley and escape. Later that night, he used his Number’s ability to unlock the front door of the man who had chased him. Feeling no remorse, he slit the man’s throat in his sleep. Presenting the man’s body to his gang, the others let him join in fear.

This position and clear ruthlessness caused him to be hired by RAVEN as an agent. Nonetheless, through talent, exhortation, and murder he had raised to become head of the already-corrupt organization by the time he was 22. Wanting more of the Number cards that excelled him through his life, he proposed the idea to the mayor of Neo Domino himself, setting off the plan he had been developing for five years ever since he discovered and hired a boy who seemed to be on the brink of discovering the origins of the Number cards. He then entered this tournament under a fake guise so as to supervise those he chose specifically with the task of gathering numbers for him.

Personality:  Isabella maintains a degree of professionalism and tact, using a measure of intense charisma and beauty to keep people from investigating too deep into RAVEN. Her departments manipulate the public face of RAVEN, making sure nothing secret is discovered, and that is exactly how Isabella would love to keep it. However, Isabella is prone to fits of anger when something goes wrong, and is very concerned about her own personal appearance, usually consuming a special cocktail when no one is looking. However, Isabella seems to have her own secrets…
History: Miss Calluna de Sangrea is the head of RAVEN’s Human Resources, Public Relations, and Marketing departments, managing the workforce underneath the company while also keeping a wholesome and friendly public image for the group. RAVEN caters to a very specific clientele, and they would prefer to have their activities, and the activities of RAVEN, to be as secret as possible. Thanks to Isabella’s work, her faction has come off as very open and helpful to the people of Neo Domino while masking their true intentions.
On the other hand, those at RAVEN who have known Isabella for long enough have noticed a few…peculiarities…For instance, Isabella seems to avoid direct contact with sunlight, and consumes her special “drink” before exposing herself to the sun. She claims it is a skin condition, but few actually buy that excuse. Plus, she seems to have a thing for younger women, and female interns that work under her seem to either disappear or change, becoming introverted and unresponsive to most stimuli.  No one knows what the Lady’s deal is, but it is clearly not good.

Appearance: James has short black hair, pulled back in a professional fashion. This hair has two white streaks the trail from his forehead directly above his eyebrows, onward to the back of his head. His facial features are slick and refined with thin, slightly effeminate eyebrows, and cold black eyes. He has a piercing in each ear, where he wears small black jeweled earrings. He stands a fairly average six feet tall, with a toned but thin build weighing in at about 160 pounds.

He wears an expensive tailored black suit, with a red tie and a white undershirt. Most of his height is in his legs, causing him to look like spindly stick figure with a blood red heart from a distance. On his right upper arm he has a tattoo of a musical note, though this is never visible as he is always wearing his suit.

Personality: James is slightly arrogant, this being a result of his previous reign on the Pro Duel Circuit. Underneath his shell of superiority however, is an inner scorn for the duelist known as “Firebrand,” the duelist who stole his title. He is dramatic in both speech and stature, making the whole world his stage. He is competitive by nature and can be angered by those with a less serious mindset towards dueling. His looks and mannerisms cause him to have quite the following among young women, being the “Teenage Heartthrob” of the generation. He bathes in this attention and thrives off of it.

History: Born and raised in America, James took a two-sided career, splitting his time as both a professional duelist and a musician, playing various instruments and running under the stage name “Orpheus”. He excelled at both of these, and held the title of North American Champion for a total of three years with his Anti-Xyz Orchestra deck. All of this toppled when he was 19 and a punk rising star who called himself “Firebrand” challenged his title. Although James was able to thwart most of the kid’s early tactics, he was ultimately crushed by his opponent’s “Number 113: Bizarro Boogeyman”. This angered James and ended his dueling career, forcing him to revert to music, which he still did well in, and he managed to cover up his dueling failure through successes in entertainment.

When the tournament was announced, James saw it as an opportunity to gain revenge… and fame. Both sounded like music to his ears (with all puns intended). He bought an express plane ticket to Neo-Domino and made a B-Line to the television, proclaiming that “Orpheus, the Artist of Dueling” was back in the game and personally challenged Firebrand, vowing to reclaim his title.

Personality: Roland is typically a calm, easy-going guy. He does have an odd sense of humor, and rather enjoys word play. It isn’t uncommon to see him trying to talk to a girl, with the sole purpose of trying to see how many times he can get her to laugh. He makes it no secret that he likes to hang out and have a good time, whether he knows the people he’s attempting to do so with or not.

However, if something rather interesting or exciting happens, he has a bit of a shift in personality. He starts to get rather passionate about the situation, to the point of yelling and cheering if it’s acceptable. His attention gets totally focused on the event, where he won’t even notice someone calling his name unless forced to. This especially applies to when he’s in the middle of a duel, where he attempts to put on a show of awe and flair each and every time, no matter how trivial the stakes or event.

History: Throughout most of his young life, Roland Hong seemed to be a unique child. It helped that two entities sensed great potential in the young boy at birth, and started to fight for the right to mentor and mold him into their avatar. The conflict was marked by the color of his eyes, one dominated by the lively Blue Goddess, the other by the passionate Gold Demon.

This struggle plagued the poor Roland throughout most of his childhood. He would constantly get headaches, and be apt to suddenly burst into fits of raw emotion.  When asked about it, he would constantly say that the two were fighting again. While most people tended to stay away from him because of this, the few that would attempt to help him noted that the color of his eyes would shift when it happened.

When he was the age of 10, however, the Blue Goddess and the Gold Demon came to a truce, after realizing that neither of them could trump the other, and they would just destroy the one they were attempting to make their avatar. They agreed to share him as a host, and instead observe him and guide him when necessary. The day this happened, Roland felt that he could finally be himself, and he began to pursue what he desired, one of which was to become a duelist, and one of the best, at that.

Heavily influenced by the Blue Goddess and the Gold Demon, Roland found success over the years with two different decks, which he swaps out every now and again with each other. It’s due to the Blue Goddess and Gold Demon attempting to be fair with each other that this happens, but Roland is none the wiser, and is his own man. When the Blue Goddess is influential, he uses the Mountain Goddesses. The Gold Demon influences him to use the Subterraneans. With both these decks, Roland, the Blue Goddess, and the Gold Demon want nothing more than to see him on top of the world as the King of Games for his age.

He is cold and curt with most people aside from those who are in his inner circle; to those people, he is kind and would risk his life for them. He likes quiet and being outdoors, especially if he's hunting or fishing. He's very smart and clever, and is good at figuring things out.

History: Ryan was born to a typical family in Canada and had a typical childhood. He had a real flair for dueling, and entered in many tournaments. He won several, but he also had times when he lost. The person he was closest to was his grandfather, and when he died, Ryan ran away. He returned a few days later, but from then on he would rarely speak.

Ryan constantly hunted and fished, and rarely spent time with his family like he used to. He distanced himself from his friends, and eventually, when he was 16, Ryan straight-up left. He went to Alberta and lived there for a while, until he discovered that his family died in a plane crash. He left Canada altogether and went to Neo Domino City.

Appearance: Doc Jones is a tallish, lanky, pale man with deep blue eyes, and shoulder-length black hair. Garbed in a white business shirt with black pants, he's quite well dressed-- almost professional, if he didn't stumble around a lot to keep his footing, showing that he can often be clumsy.

The fact that he drinks frozen slush drinks so regularly and still remains thin as he is, one would probably assume he has an amazing metabolism. One would be absolutely correct in this assumption.

He has a sturdy, rectangular locket on his neck, locked with a key he keeps in a secret pocket in his shirt at all times. This locket is made out of a very sturdy light blue plastic or alloy of some sort, and is resistant to brute force. One would have to have the key, or be very proficient at lockpicking to get at whatever's inside. Inside is the key to his store, a 1st edition "Slushy" card. While he has a more conventional key to the store, this can be used as a backup in case he loses it. Some say he's hiding something else in there, too.

Personality: He's a timid man(as stated before), who has worked his entire life in his family's convenience store, which he inherited recently. He's very proud of the work he does, but sometimes wishes convenience stores were seen more than a quick pit-stop. He's completely untrusting of Number cards-- no cliche or bland history about it, he's just heard tales of people 'going mad with the power'. He's also read in old books, how people have 'picked up blank cards and a Number appeared formed from their desires', or something like that. To be honest, he doesn't feel comfortable winning a duel using a card that was made FROM someone else.

While he is easily frightened or shocked, he attempts to be courteous to others, as it was a family value he was raised with-- something you really need if you want to run a small business.

He is deeply offended whenever people ask if "Doc" is his real first name. It is, and the fact that people would have to ask is kind of a sore spot for him.

History: Doc Jones(named after his grandfather on his mother's side, who was a successful doctor), was raised into his father's business of the convenience store "Palace of Jones". As such, he's cunning with business, but always gives the other person a fair deal, and is courteous to people, on or off of work. His family lives in the basement of their shop, which they've turned into a fairly nice living quarters. He's lived a fairly uneventful life, to be honest. But he's always had a passion for Dueling, and that leads us to one of the only notable events of his life-- he wrote a heartfelt letter to a card designer, asking him to help him combine his two passions. The designer proceeded to create the 'Convenient' Archetype. Jones was mailed three copies of each card, excluding Xyz Monsters-- he only got one copy of those, each. While other duelists can buy booster packs, there's two cards he seldom talks about, which only he got. He hides this secret as best he can, holding the cards on a locket on his neck, along with his key to the convenience store-- (which is in the form of an old 1st Edition "Slushy" card, as stated before). He protects this locket with his life, as he believes the world is "not yet ready to see these cards".

Deck Type: He plays the 'Convenient' archetype, an archetype that attempts to quickly Xyz summon with low level monsters and manage to maintain card advantage. They can tutor one another out, and change levels-- their drawback is their lousy stats-- even their Xyz monsters have lackluster attack. To make up for it, they have stellar effects.

Appearance: A boy on the verge of "adulthood" with a rather acrobatic build. He stands at 6'0". He has twin tattoos on his right wrist and ankle of a simple black line ring. He wears a long dark purple cloak with ripped a large hood, ripped/ragged ends on the bottom, and removed sleaves to showcase his arms. His torso is completely wrapped in bandages. On the lower half of his body he wears baggy black pants that are warn on the bottom of the pant legs. He wears an assortment of large jewelary of different kinds including but not limited to: a small necklace with a black/purple pendant attached, a larger necklace with a small mask pendant, several large rings on his fingers, and a silver bracelet on his right arm. He has a straight cut short blonde hair contrasting the dark outfit he wears. He constantly smiling often gazing almost into nothing. His eyes stare both at and through everything around him. Furthering his collection of random items he carries he has a strange silver-golden staff with a green jewel placed in its center; he is very overprotective of his staff and keeps it with him at all times, often swinging it around or playing with it, and even using it to assist him in certain situations.
Edit: His duel disk is black with numerous painted symbols of various colors and meanings the largest colored symbol is a pale blue (see 113 for color reference) streak along the front side of the duel disk. 
 
Personality: Firebrand is of genius level intellect and a grade-A duelist from America, and although these are facts he is still very irrational and random. Everything he does is often random or seemingly purposeless, but the things Firebrand does ultimately leads to what he wants. He found a number leading to his collecting and hunting of numbers, no one knows what his end goal is, or what he plans on doing with them, but only that he relentlessly hunts them down and often will begin to turn events so that he may collect more. His irrational ways are reflected in his dueling, even his own archetype is considered to be the most random archetype on the planet. His dueling is famous in North America, but is considered widely unknown to other areas of the world. He is an expert at psychological analysis and can often anticipate peoples actions or even their dueling by reading them. He detests the RAVEN organization for it's corrupt rule over much of this part of the world as well as their hindering of his numbers hunting.
 
History: Hailing from North America, not much is known about his early years. Firebrand showed up when he was just 14 on the pro dueling circuit with his number card and began to top easily within various North American tournaments; this was shortly followed by a rumors of him hunting down and collecting numbers outside of tournaments. His already odd personality and dueling style grew more and more extreme. He began becoming more and more distant from other players, and even other people. Moving into a chateau on his own private property. Firebrand soon gathered a large collection of numbers, complimenting his play style and amplifying his dueling powers. After dueling in most major tournaments in America he inevitably became the North American Dueling champion. After attaining this title he began touring other countries to duel and hunt numbers. 
Departing from his homeland of America he arrived in Japan aged 16 and began to search for numbers. He set up shop in the less privileged areas of this new country's Neo Domino City, which was certain to attract duelists for the Diamond Cup tournament. He has spent the past year honing his skills and hunting down and locating different number, preparing himself for the Diamond Cup hoping to assure a victory and collect all the numbers brought to the tournament. He has been making use of the locals by having them help him keep tabs on numbers holders, hunters, and the events revolving around them in order to hunt down numbers more efficiently, but unfortunately RAVEN has been a constant problem, often hindering his hunting or covering up evidence or events.

Name: James Trick

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Affiliation: Numbers Hunter

Appearance: James stands at 6'1", and is a rather muscular individual, having done hard work and heavy lifting as well as duelling over the years. He has short, black hair that tends to spike out in every possible direction, and brown eyes that, while originally quite light and soft, have become more of a harsh, dark brown colour. Similarly, his smile, which once tended towards a roguish grin, now contorts to either a smug grin or a sneer most of the time.

 

He wears all black, a black leather jacket over a black shirt, and black jeans with black boots. Likewise his disk is a normal mass production d-pad, painted black from it's original white colour, and his d-gazer resides as a special addition to a pair of black sunglasses with dark-tinted frames. When he uses his number monsters, the 17 appears on the right of his forehead glowing yellow, 65 appears on his right hip also glowing yellow, and 96 on his right cheek glowing neon purple. For his two chaos numbers, the numbers appear in the same spots but both seem to burn in a dark purple instead.

 

Personality: James is a rather rough individual, never having learnt the necessary manners for polite company, and preferring to hang out with the lowlife of the town anyway. Originally he was a rather competitive individual, and willing to help do what was needed for the gang, as well as willingly joking around with them as they went about their lives, a fairly friendly person overall. During a duel he was often the sort to talk about anything and everything to try and distract his opponents, to get them to make mistakes as they went or to drive them to do what he wanted without them realising that. Since he's been exposed to the influence of his numbers, all of which are somewhat darker influences on his personality, he's become more closed off, willing to believe the worst in people and more hostile to them. He's still just as competitive as ever, or even more so if anything, but he's also got a sense of self-righteousness to him now, as if he's better than them. During a duel now, he's more likely to taunt them and try and get them riled up and angry than to just distract them, in an attempt to get them to act rashly and recklessly against him.

 

History: James was abandoned by his parents at an early age, young enough that he only remembered his first name and not much else about his life at the time. In order to remain safe on the streets of Neo Domino City, he found a set of cards that worked for him and joined a gang to keep him safe. Through that, and as he was working his way through the ranks, he gained a nickname as well, Trick, which he started to use as his last name, for lack of a proper one to use. During this time, he also gained a Rival from an opposing gang. When the numbers appeared, James got Number 17: Leviathan Dragon initially, though after a dangerous battle between him and his rival, he lost Leviathan Dragon to that rival, who had obtained Number 96: Dark Mist at the same time as James gained his first number.

 

After leaving his gang and hunting around until he obtained another number to challenge his rival, he returned and, by betting his new number, Number 65: Judge Buster the Adjudicutting Djinn, he got another duel against his rival with their numbers on the line once more. After beating Dark Mist with the effect of Judge Buster, his opponent's deck collapsed to his Ghostricks, and he won the duel. Taking his rival's numbers, he left, going to a different part of town to upgrade his deck to prepare for the Diamond Cup he had entered. As he upgraded his deck, he found a couple of other cards to help him out, a couple of copies of Rank-Up-Magic - Barian's Force, along with a couple of useful Xyz monsters, namely Battlecruiser Dianthus and CXyz Battleship Cherry Blossom, as well as the Number C versions of his Rank 2 Numbers. Deck ready, he found a room to stay for a couple of weeks, ready to join the competition.

I decided against using any of the over 100 numbers with James, Dark Mist, Leviathan and Judge Buster seem to fit better with his deck than any of the currently released over 100 numbers and I'm not particularly a fan of creating custom cards.

Appearance: A very good looking teenage boy with blue spikey hair his height is around 5'10 to 6'0.He weights around 135 pounds. Akira  has a scar on the side of his face which he cannot figure out were he got it from. He wears a Dark Blue Leather Jacket opened and has a white shirt on with white baggy jeans and black sneakers. Akira carries around a ring with his parents name ingraved in it as it was the only thing he could remember them by. He also has chains attached to the pockets of his pants.

 

Akira sports a D-Gazer integrated to his eye and his duel disk is customized to look like Yuma's in white and blue. His deck box is attached to the side of his pants just like every other duelist its color is red. Akira also sports a school outfit from time to time. It usually consist of buttoned down white shirt, tight black jeans, brown shoe's and a school given red d-gazer (he doesn't wear though) and a yellow and black duel disk. Akira also wears wristbands as he wear them from inspiration from his favorite show on television called Rise of the Hero Duelist.

Personality: Akira is a caring/loner type. Akira is usually ecstatic to duel and finds that dueling for the wrong reasons isn't something he can go with. Akira has a deep love for dueling and usually seen at a duel ground challenging anyone he deems worthy. Unlike others Akira can barely resist the influence of the numbers though at time it may take him over when he becomes to serious for a duel. Akira can also be quite clueless sometimes especially educational quiz's but in his time of need Akira can anaylize anything though it may come in great difficulty. Akira can't make a good joke for the love of him there maybe one or two times he could make a good joke but it's just no i can't even.

 

Akira also has a deep love for the poor parts of Neo Domino City as he was treated like family when he arrived there all he can ever think about is to repair  their current status. Akira is also terrible at reading people feelings or body language when it comes to being social though this insistently changes when he duels. When Akira duels seriously there is switch flipped on him he feels nothing but the urge to win. These Urges drove Akira to life and to were he is today. Akira also has lapses of in his memory reminding him of what happened when his parents died and why he has something to do with it. These dreams actually cause Akira to go crazy and wake up in the middle of night and start dueling people without his knowledge this maybe due to the Numbers effect on Akira as he constantly summons them. Akira may also still have the habbit of child as he still watches Anime this maybe due to his love for manga and anime it's also because of this love he is usually nicknamed the "Baka Otaku".
 

History: Akira Was born in Heartland City but moved at the age of 5 to Neo Domino City his parents worked at the organization of RAVEN but were later killed in a mysterious car accident. .After there death Akira couldn't find any happiness he was abandoned and no one in his family wanted anything to do with him.  Then one day a mysterious card landed in front of him Akira picked it up and too his surprise it was Number 38 a card he heard about from his parents. This Card gave him hope that it may be the change in his life will happen. To His surprise it did he was able to find a broken down house to live in and ever since he has been able to provide for himself. As he grew older he started to duel he  was able to harness more cards from Number 38 more cards  ]including Number 107 Galaxy Eyes Tachyon Dragon and Neo Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon. These Cards have helped Akira in his life and helped him get his love for dueling.

 

As Akira grew older he started see things other shouldn't have.He saw death destruction and poverty. These Things had disgusted him to the point were he would almost pass out everytime he saw it.Akira finally relized that he should help these people that they shouldn't suffer the way they do now.This is Akira motivation to duel at the Diamond Cup. Now at the age of 17 Akira attends high school and plans on entering the Diamond Cup in hopes of providing for those who don't have home and also for his love of dueling. Akira hopes to put all his heart into dueling in the Diamond Cup and hopefully coming out successful. Akira: I do this for the polluted people in Neo Domino City the One's Everyone Forgets.

Don't take it the wrong way, Staryuma, but your app needs a lot of work. First off, you hardly had one paragraph on appearance: The minimum is two (an exception was made with Madolche King, as his single paragraph was quite long). Second off, you only had one paragraph under history. Once again, two are required. Also, your character follows many parallels with the character Yuma (parents absent, utopia, the chain is very reminiscent of the emperor's key etc.). Please try to diversify your character a bit. Additionally, with your character's status as a Number Holder, he would not have multiple numbers i.e. Number 107: Tachyon Dragon. Finally, among your character's signature cards you included multiple cNumbers; Chaos Xyz Evolution will not be an ability present to any of the characters in the beginning of the RP so he will not be able to use them until later. Finally, In regards to the use of main characters' cards: I will allow you to use either Utopia or Neo Galaxy Eyes, but not the both of them together in one deck. I look forward to seeing these changes and accepting an application from you soon.

Personality: Although on first glance he looks to be a kind fun-loving guy who is able to make friends easily, Desu can come off as a hothead and despite being intelligent, he argues with anyone who disagrees with his opinion with a resonable argument even if their opinions are feasible because like anyone, Desu doesn't want to lose an argument. During a duel, Desu has been shown to respect his opponents as he was taught by not only his parents, but his duel instructors too, and he would only resort to trash talking should he get provoked. Despite being a hothead, Desu has been shown to care for his friends and would go out of his way to protect them from gangsters or anyone who tries to threaten them.

History: Desu was born in Kyoto and his parents usually travelled on long journeys due to their work and so Desu had to be looked after by relatives living nearby during these periods. When he became 11 years old, his parents sent Desu to a prestigeous duel prep school in Tokyo complete with dormitories on campus, so they wouldn't have to worry about him as much as they would normally would. Whilst there, he learned about the origins of duel monsters and got advice on building his Noble Knight deck by the instructors.

When he returned home at the age of 17, he wanted to tell his parents that he wanted to be a pro duelist and that entering the upcoming Diamond Cup in Neo Domino would be a great start, but all he found was a box containing a custom made duel disk resembling a DiaDhank which he was grateful for as he enjoyed studying the origins of duel monsters. It seemed as if his parents went on another journey but after closer inspection there were signs of a break-in. What Desu didn't know is that his parents were kidnapped by RAVEN agents who seemed to have been after the Number card that his parents had acquired on their travels but they never found it, insted it was found by Desu in a place that RAVEN never looked - hidden inside a book in Ms. Yuja's chest of draws and it contained the card - Number 104: Masquerade Magician - Shining and since then, Desu has vowed to find his parents' kidnappers.
