Another Nostalgic Fusion of Old Monsters

So, the other day I made a fusion monster of Man-Eater Bug and Arsenal Bug: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/305006-a-nostalgic-fusion-of-two-old-monsters/

That card turned out to be underpowered, as far as my scant reviews were concerned, which is good because I usually aim for underpowered. This time, I decided I'd make a fusion of two significantly more powerful classic monsters from the good ol' days and specifically try to make it useful and badass. I also don't know if this combination has been done before, because it seemed obvious to me, but I've never seen it done here before, so I figured I'd do it. Also note that if you do not listen to metal while viewing this card, your internet may experience extreme demetalization.

Lore: "Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon" + "Metalzoa"

Must be Fusion Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Fusion Summoned, you can search your Deck or Graveyard for 1 "Metalmorph", and add it to your hand. Increase this card's ATK by 100 x the number of Dragon, Fiend, and Machine-type monsters on the field or in your Graveyard. Decrease the ATK of all face-up monsters your opponent controls by 100 x the number of DARK monsters in your Graveyard.

I tried to make it look like parts of Metalzoa, the blue and gold armor pieces, were layered on top of the gunmetal armor of the R-Eyes Black Metal Dragon, so it'd look like a legit fusion of the two machines. The laser grid wings were a spur of the moment decision that I'm happy with. Oh, and I totally forgot to draw a tail for it. Sorry about that. You can see the uncropped drawing here: http://wightpower.deviantart.com/art/YGO-Red-Eyes-Malevolent-Metal-Dragon-image-389068232

Anyway, this was really fun to make, and I hope you guys like it. I'll make sure to rep anyone who leaves a good reply, so comment, rate, review, and enjoy!

There are certain rules about the image you use for cards, but I'm gonna let that slide a bit because it was drawn by you.

Lore needs a couple of OCG fixes.

Correct OCG would be something like:

"Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon" + "Metalzoa"

Must be Fusion Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Fusion Summoned: You can add 1 "Metalmorph" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. This card gains 100 ATK for every Dragon, Fiend or Machine-Type monster on the field or in your Graveyard. Monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK for each DARK monster in your Graveyard."

Black Metal and Metalzoa don't need to be on the field to summon this, since Polymerization and Power Bond can fuse with materials in the hand and Overload Fusion can fuse them in the Graveyard, so pretty easy to summon in a Machine Deck. ATK is too high, especially given that effect.

As for the effect itself, 6 Dragon, Fiend OR Machine types and this is already at 5000 ATK. Add the fact that they're all likely to be DARK anyway and your opponent's monsters all lose 600 ATK aswell. The only thing that balances this is that by itself it's very vulnerable to card effects.

Overall, I give this card a 6/10

Loses 2 points, 1 for each OCG error, 1.5 points for its high ATK and its effect and finally 1/2 a point for the image. It's a nice drawing but rules are rules, I'm afraid.

Clean up the lore and decrease the ATK a bit and then this is at least an 8, if not a 9. It's nice to see old cards given new life :)

I dunno, Neo. The fact that you'd have to, at the very least, run TWO cards that would be a horrible dead draw on their own, AND run fusion support seems like a horrible enough drawback to me.

I however believe that this card could stand to have a criteria that tells you to only use fusion materials with the original, printed name specified-- to avoid people just trying to avert running the cards in the first place, and just bumble their way into it without worrying about the dead draws it entails.

It's harder to summon than BEUD, and has less attack. It has no support or innate protection, which I think allows this card to be balanced.

Alright, I'm definitely going to change the OCG. The grammar you guys gave me is a lot better, so I'll change it for the next edited version.

My big question is about the card image. I don't think I've ever seen any rules for images on this site, except for the obvious and universal "don't use pornographic images" rule, which goes without saying.

There are certain rules about the image you use for cards, but I'm gonna let that slide a bit because it was drawn by you.

I didn't think I did anything wrong when I made this, so I just want to know what the rule is. I really don't want to edit the image. It was a real pain to draw.

Otherwise, I'm getting some mixed opinions, but I'm fine with lowering its ATK since the player will probably boost it by its effect anyway. I'll admit, my golden rule for making fusion monster stats is to take half the ATK and DEF of the monster with the lowest in either category, and add it to the higher stats. In this case, I took 1400 (half of Black Metal Dragon's 2800) and added it to Metalzoa's 3000. Same with DEF. I'm perfectly fine with lowering it, though, but I want a consensus on the numbers. I don't want to jump the gun and make it too weak that it doesn't make up for its dead-draw fusion materials. I definitely want to keep it vulnerable to card effects, due to its classical roots. I also want to keep it at at least 10 stars, because both Metalzoa and Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon are 8 stars.

I might take Megamaw's advice and add the "only uses the printed cards'" effect so you still have to have two terrible cards in your deck.

In any case, thanks for the comments, and I hope to get a better version ready, if I can get more opinions about the stats. I want it to be useful enough to make up for its terrible material cards, and because I'm a traditionalist fool who wants fusions and older cards to be relevant again. I still want to know what the rules are for images, but otherwise, thank you for your help.
