Darthakin
Now, these days a lot of "new psychics come out. The original Psychics (those who really used life points to use effect and regained them through traps and synchros) are my all time favorites, but I cannot stand the newer ones. They take away the essence, in my opinion. as a lot of them use effects without needing those life points. (hushed clerk, Psii blocker, Psi dog etc etc) Opinions? Aix
You realize the new Psychics simply have a different gimmick right? They simple care for banishing.
Sora1499
Old Psychics don't really do anything... New Psychics at least work as a deck, but they're still not anywhere close to meta.
Toffee.
To be fair, Darth, "Psychics" isn't an archetype and never truly was.It was basically Spiders, in the sense that cards in a series do [X], and share [Motif Y], while lacking [Name Z].So while newer Psychic-Type monsters may bother you, Konami was only treating them as an "Archetype" just to branch out them being a new idea, coupled with their new Type. But overtime Psychic eventually became a type that a card could exist as, and not be tired to Lifepoint payment/regeneration. Because, ultimately, they just didn't want to pidgeonhole their new type.
