XYZ-Specific Counter Trap: Stratification of Heart

Well, here's just another nifty card I came up with: an XYZ Counter Trap. With the current meta all focused on XYZ Summoning (especially those annoying Dragons, Battlin Boxers, and Utopia engines), I felt that an XYZ-specific trap with basically no cost would be immensely useful. Since it is so specific, the lack of a cost is justified; however, I felt that in order to avoid making the card a -1 for the opponent and +1 for me, I let the opponent also eat the fruit of this trap. Well, you'll see what I'm talking about when you see the card...

Activate only when your opponent Xyz Summons a monster: Negate the Summon and Banish that monster. Then, you can target 1 of the Xyz Materials in the Graveyard used to Summon the monster and Special Summon it to your side of the field. If you do: Your opponent can also target 1 of the remaining Xyz Materials in the Graveyard and Special Summon it.

In my opinion, it would be better if it didn't give your opponent the opportunity to go into another Xyz again by giving them back one of their monsters. Just have it bring a monster to your field and call it good. I predict that you can do some pretty crazy combos concerning this card, Call of the Haunted, Xyz Reborn, etc., so if you took away the part where it gives your opponent a monster, it would actually be on par with stuff like Bottomless. Maybe even better.

Anyways, OCG fix time.

The y and z in Xyz should be lowercase.

[acronym="Since this is a Counter Trap, you need to set a specific timing in order to activate this card."]Activate only when your opponent Xyz Summons a monster[/acronym]: Negate the Summon and Banish that monster. Then, you can [acronym="With PSCT (Problem-Solving Card Text, "select" has been replaced with "target" for clarification."]target[/acronym] 1 of the Xyz Materials in the Graveyard used to Summon the monster and Special Summon it to your side of the field. If you [acronym="You need a colon after conditions, since this effect only activates when you complete the previous effect."]do: [/acronym]Your opponent can also target 1 of the remaining Xyz Materials in the Graveyard and Special Summon it.

Thanks so much for the review and OCG fix! One question, though: you suggest removing the clause that lets your opponent Summon one of the materials; however, if I make that change, would the card be too powerful?

Hello! Well It Seems i Was Beaten To The Review BUT I Do (Personally Think) It Would Become OP If the Opponent Does Not Get There Xyz Material Card Back.I Think If That Were The Case The Person That Plays The Card Should Not Get The Other Material Monster Making It A Sort Of Fissure For Xyz.

Okay; in that case I'll keep the clause that let's the opponent get one material back. I mean, the card is specific to XYZ monsters and usually, specific cards have extremely good effects (for example, Last Day of Witch, which lets you destroy all Spellcasters on the field, or Bug Spray, which lets you do the same to Insects); however, I'm not entirely sure if this card is specific enough to warrant making it too powerful, so once again, upsofar, I don't intend on removing the last clause. However, if anyone has any other perspectives regarding this card's balance, please comment and I'll take it into consideration!
