Elven - Siphoning Energy

The Elven Archetype is about building up your monsters to be HUGE beatsticks. The elves use tricky effects, to build up their strength. They aren't your average elves of the Light, no they are Dark Elves that drain energy for their benefit.

My main concerns right now are:

Is Soul Harvest too overpowered?

Is Wraith too strong?

Is Sanctum balanced?

Is Soul Stone too weak?

Criticize as much as you like. I'm open to it, first time making an archetype.

I'd usually wait until there is lore (card's effects) underneath the cards to fix the card effects (OCG) and balance (make them fair) them a bit.

Elven Impaler

When this card declares an attack, after Damage Calculation: Increase this card's ATK and DEF by 100. During the End Step of the Battle Phase, if the attacked monster was no destroyed: Change its Battle Position to face-up Defence Position.

Elven Necromancer

When this card declares an attack, after Damage Calculation: Increase this card's ATK and DEF by 100. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Necro Token" (Fiend-Type/DARK/level 1/ATK 500/DEF 500). While you control a "Necro Token": All "Elven" monsters you control cannot be targeted by card effects.

Elven Priestess

When this card declares an attack, after Damage Calculation: Increase this card's ATK and DEF by 100. During your Standby Phase, if you control a face-up "Elven" monster, except "Elven Priestess", gain 500 Life Points. When this card declares an attack or is targeted for an attack: Target 1 face-up monster you opponent controls, it loses 500 ATK until your opponent's End Phase.

Elven Void Monk

When this card declares an attack, after Damage Calculation: Increase this card's ATK and DEF by 100. When this card declares an attack, all face-up monsters your opponent controls lose 300 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle.

Elven Wraith

You can only control 1 "Elven Wraith". You can Banish 2 "Elven" monsters from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card (From your hand). If this card is Summoned this card, add 1 "Elven" Spell or Trap card from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, you can Banish 1 "Elven" monster from your Graveyard: This card gains 500 ATK until the End Phase. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, this card gains 200 ATK and DEF.

Elven Sanctum

When an "Elven" monster you control is sent to the Graveyard because of a card effect: Special Summon 1 "Elven" monster from your Deck: it gains 500 ATK and DEF until the End Phase. You cannot Special Summon "Elven" monsters until your next Main Phase 1 after this card's activation. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, add 1 "Elven" card from your Deck to your hand.

Soul Harvest

Banish 1 or more DARK monsters in your Graveyard: Target 1 "Elven" monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it, while it is face-up, its effects are negated. The targeted monster gains 300 ATK and DEF for ever DARK monster Banished. All face-up monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK and DEF. All Normal Summoned "Elven" monsters you control gain 100 ATK and DEF for each face-up monster you opponent controls.

Elven Soul Stone

When an "Elven" monster you control declares an attack or is targeted for an attack: Decrease the ATK of all face-up non-"Elven" monsters by 500 until the End Phase.

Apart from that, I kind of like them, however it was a bother trying to fix the effects just by reading them on the cards you made.

Thanks for the balancing feedback; however, I forgot I posted this on here. I also posted this on DN's forums, and while it was there, the deck has gone through some changes these are those changes. Feel free to put input again if you'd like.

The changes summed up are:

  • All the monsters, besides Wraith, ATK have been lowered to a 1600-1300 range, plus they all gained Monk's effect, "Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by batlle."
  • For Wraith: It was made so that he cannot be Special Summoned by other ways, besides his own effect. His search on summon has be restricted to just Elven Spell cards instead of both Spells and Traps; however he can search not just when he is Special Summoned, he can now do if he happens to be tribute summoned. His DEF also went up 100.
  • There's a new Quick-play Spell: Elven Scroll of Might - NOTE: It was either that or this: aeMK8Go.jpg
  • Sanctum was made so that you can't Summon Elven monsters at all instead of just Special Summoning them. It was also give a "Tensu"-like effect.
  • Soul Stone was changed to more "Horn of the Phantom Beast" kind of card to give the deck some draw power; this was because the deck had no way of searching beyond summoning Wraith, and Sanctum being destroyed.
  • For Harvest, the monster summoned no longer has its effect negated.
