When this card is Normal Summoned, you can add 1 "Tachyon" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Tachyon Captain". If you add a spell/trap card, you cannot activate cards of the same name for the rest of this turn.

When this card is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect): Target 1 "Tachyon" spell/trap card in your Graveyard; banish that target. During your next Standby Phase, add it to your hand.

Once per turn: You can reveal 1 "Tachyon" card in your hand to declare a Level from 1 to 8; this card becomes that Level until the End Phase. You can only use this effect of"Tachyon Beast" once per turn. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster.

During either player's turn, if a "Tachyon" monster you controlled that was destroyed this turn is in your graveyard or banished zone: you can discard this card; special summon that destroyed "Tachyon" monster from your graveyard or banished zone and if you do, you can return 1 monster your opponent controls to the hand.

Target 1 "Tachyon" monster you control or 1 monster you control that was summoned by a "Tachyon" card's effect; that target is unaffected by your opponent's spell and trap effect this turn.

Send 1 "Tachyon" card from your hand or that you control to the graveyard, then target 1 monster you control and reveal 1 xyz monster in your extra deck that can be summoned using that target as a material; special summon a monster with the same name and rank as that revealed xyz monster from your extra deck and attach this card and that target (from the field) to it as xyz materials. If you summon a "Tachyon Dragon" monster this way, it is unaffected by your opponent's spell, trap and monsters effects this turn.

[spoiler='rulings notes']

- You can summon an xyz monster that uses equal, more, or even less then 2 materials.

- You can summon a monster whose xyz requirements are more specific then X level Y monsters, but the monster you target must meet those requirements eg A Dinosaur-Type monster for Evolsaur Laggia.

- You can summon a monster such as Number C39: Utopia Ray with Tachyon Rift by using either Number 39: Utopia or 1 level 4  LIGHT monster. Similarly, you can summon Gaia Dragon the Thunder Charger using either a level 7 monster or a rank 5 or 6 monster.

- If either Tachyon Rift or that target has left the field, you still attach the remaining card to that monster.
