You're forgetting her Toon variant for this card.

That aside, while having free 4-6 card draw is generally bad design; it essentially requires you to have an empty field (of monsters) and no hand, similar to that of Bubbleman (except you are allowed to have backrow). It's good for refreshing your hand if you burned it out on a combo in the previous turn, although it essentially draws you a new strategy.

As a suggestion, perhaps you can reduce the amount of cards you can draw by this effect to 3 or something; that way, you'll still get reasonable draw power but won't be OPed.

Oh yeah! I forgot her toon variant. >.< I thought the requirements, plus the fact that it doesn't work in a competitive deck, didn't make it OPed. Plus, in all honestly, even with the card as it is, Dark Magician decks are not hard to handle. Plus, Morphing Jar lets both players draw 5 cards but is more flexible than this card.

Even if it isn't run in a competitive deck or something that can be dealt with easily, you still have to make it balanced for other reasons. While yes, this card can be negated by Dark Bribe and the like, plus the requirement is situational as is (just 3 monsters fit it and Skilled is probably the one you'd see most of; DMG has her uses in other Decks), which does counterbalance the draw to some degree; big draws like that are some of the things looked down upon (especially because of decks that are famous for drawing lots of cards in a few turns)

I don't foresee Konami adding more support to DMG (aside from her Xyz counterpart, considering they have quite a bit of general support already), but they might surprise us and make more cards for this to be used with. I do like this card though, just that the draw from this is pretty heavy compared to the drawbacks of using it.

And that, ladies and gents, was a nice counter argument. I can see what you mean now, thank you for the constructive criticism. That being said, I have made 2 new versions of the effect, which do you think works best?

First thing's first: I absolutely love the artwork you used. Looks official :)

As for the new versions, to answer your question in my opinion, I'd prefer the second one, given the conditions. Pretty balanced in my book
I also like how this combos with Skilled Dark Magician too.

Haha, lol. Thanks.

I was thinking the second one too.

I'd have to choose the second one as well, since it also combos with the original Dark Magician as well (even though he has quite a bit of support already).

First one, while being restricted to Skilled DM and both of the Magician Girls, does allow you an extra card. (TBH, both are much more balanced out now but 2nd one since it can help DM decks run better in terms of draw power).

Like above mentioned, Skilled can make good use of this (draw some cards; get a Spell counter on it and then use him to summon original one, assuming you had 2 counters prior to that)
