"The Empire is a massive machine, a most deadly machine, that rivals the engines designed by Daedalus himself and the people, its cogs. Each insignificant soul plays a role in the clockwork, even if he or she does not know it, and turns the Wheels of Fate so that the Empire may move forwards. It is in the great efficiency which the Empire operates that makes it most brilliant."

Stumbling off the skyship, Freed regarded the sprawling metropolis around him with a cynical eye that softened with wonder with the more he saw. The city was grand, grand indeed and a country bumpkin like Freed could only gaze in awe at the sights, smells and sounds that threatened to overwhelm him. Despite the crowded streets and industrial clatter, the air, the sky, was as clean as it was in the open meadows of his hometown due to the richer cities in the Empire completely abandoning the ways of coal and steam-powered engines. This was the matchless capital, Londres, the heart of a massive Empire that stretched from the Atlantic across nearly all of Europe and despite all of Britannia’s stunning achievements, its conquest was far from complete.

"Perhaps the greatest aid in Britannia’s conquest was the discovery of Daedalus Spheres which allowed for the channelling of Animus to create automatons. It was instrumental in turning the war around against the Eldant Empire which had been going downhill since the disastrous defeat at Elder’s Grove."

Reluctantly pulling himself away from observing into the windows of a marvelous cake shop, he was then nearly run over by passing motored cart carrying various fruits and vegetables to the market. The Cart Engineer scowled at him from atop the cart before hastily trudging on.

"Since then, the Empire has furiously trained legions of Knight-Engineers to lead the great armies of automatons to victory."

After half an hour of frustrating over his map and weaving through the labyrinth of towering buildings, Freed finally arrived at the capital’s central square. He was early, earlier than all the other applicants, and it felt warm inside to arrive first. This was the heart of the heart of the Empire, the soul. To either side of him, the Empire’s two castle-like premier Knight Academies, Daedalus College and Warschool Britannia, stood like looming titans ready to clash, while straight ahead was the beautiful Lighthall Keep, the administrative center of the Empire and the residence of the current Empress, Victoria.

Over 135 years ago, the High King of Britannia first stepped out of his island kingdom with his idealistic convictions on a grand quest of dominion to lay the entire world at his feet. He would create world peace, he would bring world order, but sadly, his dream could never be realized in his lifetime. The world was far bigger than he could ever imagine and his reach was just too short. His strength, too, was not enough. However, his dream lived on in the spirit of his people and his son took up the banner to march onwards. Flash forwards to the present, after thousands of campaigns, thousands of successes and failures, the march continues on, the great banner passed down from generation to generation.

You are the next generation. The soldiers of the future who will wage war and bring about righteous dominion upon the savages that yet still deny the Britannia’s Manifest Destiny. Through blood and fire you will civilize the world and your journey starts today.

Anticipation swells in your heart as bugles sound the approach of you and your future classmates. Through the holy brass gates, you shall march into Daedalus College, the grand institution for the training of Knight-Engineers. It is here you will obtain power, the power to bring glory to your country, the power to protect what you hold dear, the power to change the world.

Despite being the elite premier school of Knight-Engineers, Daedalus College accepts students of all backgrounds, of all social statuses, of all ethnic origins and perhaps it is in this which the College owes its success. It is yet unknown how the College selects its entrants, but the method has thus far proven extremely successful. Come cadets, come and seek your badges of honor. For the Empire, and for the World!

Spamming, trolling and flaming is not permitted. I reserve the right to kick you out of this RP for no apparent reason.

No godmodding, powerplaying or metagaming.

If I say something is final, you shall not argue.

You must treat me, your host, and your fellow RPers with respect. Feel free to disrespect yourself, however.

This is a PG-16 RP, meaning it will have a certain degree of violence, death, blood and gore and sexual content. Online Interactions not rated by A I X. Thou hath been warned. By all means, walk right in :D

The intent of this RP is animesque as you may have inferred from the atypical academy setting and may employ a certain degree of its tropes. The setting is steampunk as you can see with automatons and the skyship.

Despite the name “Empire of Britannia” and the similarities in fighting with robots (sometimes, often giant robots) this RP has no connection to the franchise of Code Geass (despite it being my all time favourite anime) and I henceforth reserve the right to stop players from bringing any more similarities into this RP including but not limited to similar characters, names and appearances.

Please read the information provided in the Database. Much of the information of Britannia’s colonies and yet to be conquered states is actually yet to be decided and will be periodically updated, so you are actually free to contribute. Feel free to make up places and such when creating your character, though I may ask you to make changes if necessary.

I ask that you make at least one character who is a freshman into Daedalus College and you may make up to two other characters. You may ask me for an exception.

Do not rush, but do not delay too much in creating your app so that I may ask for any necessary changes and so we may begin as soon as possible.

After each IC post, put a summary of what you did and where you were as well as who else may be affected.

If you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions, write: All hail Lelouch!

The database is incomplete, but then again, Britannia’s knowledge of the world is incomplete and you are free to suggest things to the database.

This planet is simply referred to as the World in English, though may be called something different in other cultures and languages. Only one massive landmass surrounded by water appears to exist in the World and it consists of Europe to the west which looks exactly like Europe in our world though the rest of the World may be different.

Communication across the World is severely difficult due to monsters that may attack communication units and rough and dangerous weather and terrain as well as very tense relations between the various nations, thus very little is actually known outside of Britannia.

Once upon a time, the entire World was ruled by the World Empire, however internal conflict broke out and a cataclysm of unknown nature struck. There are many garbled and nonsensical reports about colossal monsters and machines.

The Empire of Britannia, originally known simply as the Kingdom of Britannia, was created five hundred years ago when the first High King, Eowyn I, conquered the Islands of Britannia and created an era of peace and prosperity. 135 years ago, the High King Brandon, stepped onto the World mainland, intending to follow in his ancestors footsteps and bring the World into an era of peace and prosperity. It only became the Empire of Britannia ninety years ago when the nation had conquered two other nations and went up to challenge the Eldant Empire.

Today, the Empire of Britannia flourishes in a Victorian era and yet still battling for dominion over the rest of the World. The Empire is run by a combination of fascism and the feudal system with the Empress as the absolute head of state. The nobility is similar to medieval England, various lord govern many smaller holds.

Because of Britannia’s many conquests, there is great ethnic diversity (though no Asians).

There is mandatory three-year military service for all Britannian citizens that must be taken before the age of 25, though that does not necessarily mean you are sent to the front-lines. Those who wish to go to Knight Academies must commit at least 10 years to military service unless they pay a large tuition fee (often only affordable by nobility).

Most services in Britannia are privately owned, but do have to pay heavy taxes and file reports to the government. No one is allowed to leave Britannia or even travel between holds without a reason or permission.

Despite being a relatively developed and civil country, it still has great issues with discrimination, especially with the government and nobility, making it very hard for everyone but pureblood Britannians to advance in society.

There are many undisclosed cases of the government haphazardly arresting individuals and they are never seen again. Most remarked was the disappearance of an entire Eldant village overnight, ten years ago, after government officers were known to have been going in that direction.

Not much is actually known about the rest of the World. Britannia is currently at war with three different countries - Gallia, Draszera and Noctyle.

Gallia is a large country famed for its Knight-Engineers and comes close to rivalling Britannia in their technology, thus is the greatest threat to Britannia. The Gallian language is known as the language of love.

A mountainous country rich from exports of gold and other precious minerals. Various ancient ruins are found in this country and the country is allied with Gallia to battle Britannia.

A desert country to the south, they tame various monsters to aid in combat.

Germania is a region somewhat northeastern of Britannia. The region is split into two constantly warring parts, one is a puppet state controlled by Britannia, while the other is a separatist movement backed up by Draszera-Gallia alliance. The Germanian language is not widely used anymore due to the influence from the three factions, though many efforts are made to preserve it. The people of Germanian are known as an excellent engineers, even often regarded as having the best engineers in the world. Despite that, they have only just quite recently implementing their designs with the Animus, so technologically, they are a bit behind compared to the rest of the countries.

The island of Lycisis was a peaceful island, preferring to stay out of the wars and conflicts of its neighboring countries and islands. It had a thriving economy, great ruler, and happy people. It's main exports were fish, wine, and cheese. But all that changed when a mysterious catastrophe struck. It is now unknown what is happening in Lycisis, but it can be assumed that everyone is dying, dead, or has fled the island. Most other nations avoid it.

A small chain of islands south of Britannia and a bit away from Lycisis. This chain of islands is well known for its fruit, vegetable and most importantly cotton plantations. It is also well know for its, ‘illicit’ slavery trade. Well, not so much a trade anymore, since too many of the aristocracy spent their time gambling with their slaves. So yes, ownership is considered alright, but trading or using them as an economy is a no-no.

The Island Nation of Ai Mercas was formed roughly 155 years ago, by settlers who segregated from their original nation. The Empire of Brittania aided them in their settlement, and they were told to make something of their land, as after a set time period (150 years) they would either have to join Brittania of their free will, or, they would be conquered instead. So, make something of it they did, as the lands of Ai Mercas had very rich soil, allowing for the mass farming that still exists to date. Every year, Ai Mercas would export ¼ of their total harvest to Brittania as a show of good faith. The slavery trade came in after many refugees from a nation wrecked by Brittania made land in Ai Mercas. As far as the now burgeoning aristocracy of Ai Mercas was concerned, they were nothing more than rats who escaped a sinking ship. If they those refugees thought the idea of Brittania ruling them was bad, they had clearly never dreamed of Ai Mercas oppression. To this day the children’s children’s children of the first slaves still work in the fields, though, after a brief chat amongst the ruling parties they did decide to act a bit nicer towards the slaves after the mass breakout spree and subsequent murder of the cruellest of the aristocracy.

A legendary group of islands located far, far to the east rumoured to be governed by the Karakuri Shogunate. No communication has been made with them since ancient times.

A region located in the far east, not much was known about it, due to them closing themselves from outsider for centuries. Tales said that they possessed a quite sophisticated technology, and they used some form of Animus manipulation for many purposes that was deemed impossible in the west. They are also rumoured to.be an expert of medicines too, though their medicines are said to be very bitter, and sometimes might look disgusting for westerners.

The technology is equivalent to Victorian ages, except rather than steam, most of Britannia uses Animus and automatons. Most automatons have what is called a False Animus Core, which is a channeling device that receives animus and lets an automaton move, whereas more powerful automatons use a True Animus Core, otherwise known as a Daedalus Sphere. These are ancient artifacts originating from the great World Empire that reigned in ancient times and were created by the legendary inventor Daedalus. Many excavations are made to retrieve these artifacts from ancient ruins.

In addition there are skyships (airships), and are suspended like blimps and propelled by Animus. They are often employed as bombers.

Animus is the life force and the soul and comes from within. Those who are trained in its use, which means all citizens of Britannia, may manifest it outside their body and influence the outside world, particularly, control automatons. It is similar to chi and can be used to strengthen oneself (as in make one faster and stronger and thus capable of remarkable physical feats), but that requires a certain mastery over it. Channeling Animus can accelerate healing as it activates the cells to allow for greater cell division. Animus, when channeled through various artifacts such as Animus Cores, becomes much stronger.

Many Knight-Engineers, in addition to commanding automatons, also use Daedalus Weapons, which are weapons that allow the channeling of Animus for extreme cutting power. Authentic ancient Daedalus weapons are hard to come by, but lesser recreations are quite common.

Guns are at the same level as back in Victorian ages - not particularly accurate and takes forever to reload, but innovations are constantly being made. I will allow RWBY-esque weapons in this RP.

Please read the above spoiler before continuing on to this one.

Knight-Engineers are specialists with Animus and the soldiers of the Empire, completely replacing any cavalry or infantry. Ordinary ones generally use empire-created automatons whereas those who go to premier Knight Academies are trained in the use of automatons with Daedalus Spheres.

While their primary task is to command automatons, many of them are skilled in combat themselves as combat skill often translates over to the skill of the automatons.

Knight Academies receive massive funding from the government so it is actually free to attend... provided that you accept ten years of mandatory service, though you may buy your way out of these ten years. Those who wish to enter a Knight Academy go through an application process and often apply to multiple academies.

The two best Knight Academies are located directly in the capital - Daedalus College and Warschool Britannia. Daedalus College is very mysterious and was founded more than thirty years ago by the Duke of Steinsberg, who remains as the school's principal, whereas Warschool Britannia was founded by the state eighty years ago.

Daedalus College is obscure in its acceptance while Warschool Britannia only accepts nobility and those who have political connections. In order to keep their superiority, few Knight Academies reveal what goes on inside their walls.

Typically, the Knight curriculum is around three years, but may be longer or shorter depending on the Academy administration. Often exams can be taken after a year or two for early entry into the military.

Some say that monsters were the original inhabitants of the World, at any rate, monsters a extremely territorial and show intelligent above that of mere animals. Some countries have jealously guarded secret methods of taming the species of monsters that reside in their native territory.

They are birds... for lack of a better word I suppose. They're really more of a horrifying hybrid of bird and lizard. Their heads are a vague cross between bird and reptile, with a sharp serrated beak that hide 4-6 rows of sharp teeth (4 for females, 6 for males). Males have a crest that raise when they feel threatened, or aroused. Their bodies are coated in shaggy hair, though female pelts are softer. Their wingspans are roughly 5 feet wide, with three claws at the half-point of each wing. The wings are folded with the claws in front when resting, but expand to full size when flying. The ends of their wings have large, and wide feathers. Their talons are covered in scales, with three claws in the front, and one in the back. Their tailfeathers are fairly sturdy and most are long. They are the same colour as their bodies for females, but are much brighter with males. Their colouring reange from mostly dirty green to a sandy yellow or a deep brown. Their colourings are based on their location, in order to blend in with their surroundings. Their talons are black-blue in colouration always.

Empyreal birds are fairly intelligent, and can adapt quite easily to situations once their brains have a handle on it. Their stellar memories let them remember very specific things, including food sources with a ready supply, as well as areas to avoid. Empyreal Birds are native to the entire world, but specific species exist ONLY in specific areas.

Empyreal craven of Draszera remember everything that happens to them. As such it is taboo to kill or even harm one. Killing is considered okay IF and only IF there are no other craven nearby. A craven that has witnessed the harming of another craven immediately recognize the perpetrator as an immediate and absolute threat. It will then spread the word to other craven within their extensive family networks. If you piss off one craven, you will piss off every single one in a 20 mile area and further as time progresses. Pissed off cravens divebomb and at times even harm their threats. A craven will call off their hit if you manage to find the one you hurt and make amends with it (usually with a food offering). If your killing of a craven it witnessed, well, god help you. There is no going back from the ultimate sin of the craven.

Empyreal birds are omnivores, but tend towards fruits & vegetables. They are even more attracted to very sweet fruits, as they can thrive solely on sugar. If they get the chance, they will thrive purely on it. If flora are not available, they will use their serrated beaks and razor sharp teeth to hunt prey up to three times their size. It is worth noting that the hungrier they are, the more enraged and aggressive they are. A sated Empyreal bird is a happy Empyreal bird. Due to their appetites and choice of food, Empyreal birds nest near to groves of fruits, such as the Apple groves of Ai Mercas.

Their poaching of the Mercans' food supply provoked the populace to begin a witch hunt that resulted in the near extinction of the thyraptoridae genus. To date there is only a small colony remaining in the northmost island, which is unpopulated due to its size and jungle density. But due to their breeding habits, their populations will rise steadily over the next decade.

Empyreal birds possess a very special power, found within their own abilities with Animus. They are very untrusting of humans, but by spending time with one, and maybe giving it a bribe or two will allow an Empyreal bird to endear itself to one person, their Chosen. There is only one Chosen per Empyreal bird at a time. And if their Chosen dies, an Empyreal bird will NEVER choose another. Once bonded with their Chosen, the special skill of the Empyreal bird is activated. They generate an empathetic link with their Chosen, causing them to become mentally and emotionally linked together; however, it is the will of the Chosen that takes dominance. An Empyreal bird that has bonded inherently know the languages known by their Chosen, which allows them to speak. Wild Empyreal birds can also learn to speak, if they are taught how by watching humans.

Empyreal birds adopt the mannerisms of their Chosen, and gain a personality after a day. Though few bonds have been made, it is the current hypothesis that the personality generated by the Empyreal bird is either the Chosen's real feelings, or a way to work with their Chosen by acting as their opposite. Ergo, a nice polite person's Empyreal bird will be incredibly mean and rude. These are all hypothesis as since the ability was first discovered, only 5 people have thus far bonded with an Empyreal bird.

What is known however, is that the empathetic link is created because Empyreal birds possess a form of their own Animus, which can bond with the Animus of their Chosen. This Animus link allows for many interesting reactions. Both sides can share their actual vision and hearing range with each other, as well as speak through their mental link. It is assumed that the 'Perfect Link' between human and Empyreal bird will allow them to act as one mind and body. No such link has ever been witnessed, so the final result is unknown.

Aside from Empyreal thyraptoridae & Empyreal craven, various other species of Empyreal birds exist throughout the world:

Empyreal squidgeon (Britannia)
Empyreal nocturne (Crescent Isle)
Empyreal cluukuu (Germania)
Empyreal necros (Lycisis)
Empyreal rouge (Gallia)
Empyreal ibex (Noctyle)

Often known as Spilornix Noctis is one species of rare eagles only found in the skies of Germania. Originally not a monster but a normal animal, the civil war had brought destruction to their habitat, and they were forced to scavenge the remains of the dead soldiers. They were immediately exposed to the lingering Animus, and from time to time, they began to change. They're becoming bigger, and they gained some form of intelligent, enough to know about the remains of the false cores and the automatons, and due to their mutation, they biologically integrated those parts into their bodies.

Appearance

Qareenjinn Serpenpanthera. They are one of the most common monsters in Noctyle, and while they aren't exactly easy to tame, it is standard for an average warrior to possess one. After thousands of years of working both alongside and against them, they have ended up being ingrained into the country's culture. Upon being tamed, they tend to bond with their master fairly easily and learn the body language of humans. Tamed Serpopards are tattooed with symbols down their spine, allowing them to be differentiated from wild ones, which remain extremely dangerous. The secret of taming them remain a national secret.

Their name comes from their appearance; while their lower bodies appear to be similar to that of a leopard, from the neck upwards they take a long, thick snake-like form all the way to the head, though they still remain primarily mammalian and possess fur.

When facing prey, they will swallow them whole and let their extremely powerful muscles through their esophagus (powerful enough to crush even metal, and which maintains their long necks) pulverize whatever they digest so that they can be contained within the fixed skeleton of the main body. This is a very, very bad way to die. But if you're lucky enough to encounter a female, then you'll find yourself killed by the acid before then. Due to their smaller sizes, females make up for this by possessing acidic saliva, allowing them to dissolve prey either through spitting or injection and make them easier to digest.

The average Serpopard can grow up to ten feet in body length, and their necks are usually directly proportional to their body.

Once a Serpopard has lived for over twenty years, it will undergo an as-of-yet unobserved metamorphosis in which it becomes a full-fledged serpent with Animus. Only two Serpopards in history have been recorded to remain with their masters upon undergoing this process.

Irisenix Tabgachiii is a legendary birdlike-creature only found in the tallest mountains of the Tabgach Region, according to oral tales. They are really huge to be able to block out the sun, but the shine from their rainbow-coloured feathers compensates for that. They are really mysterious, and not much is known about them, though, if going by the folktales surrounding it, it can be said that it possessed a really massive amount of stored Animus inside it. Whether it is a singular entity or an actual species is a subject of debate amongst the cryptozoologist.

Then we have the Steampunk part.
F*** YES.
Then we have the Animus stuff.

This is info about weapons:

They combine all sorts of things.

Like a sniper rifle scythe.

Or magical rapiers.

Or katana gun whips.

Or gun gauntlets.

Or grenade hammers.

Or ki sword gun knive knuckledusters (?).

Or javelin sword daggers.

etc etc

EDIT: I also edited my post above.

I'm assuming Crescent Isles is for that mystical legendary thing.

Can I maybe have that one spot? <3

Also, is Warschool Britannia offlimits?
Personal Information
Name: Lukas Verone
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: September 15 ????

Minus the Neku of course... 5'11", about 130 pounds.

Lukas is a shy boy. Not really having any friends growing up, he tends to avoid those who try to befriend him. He longs for a friend though, but cannot gather the courage to talk to people or expose himself. He hates himself for this. He is scared to get hurt, so he does not pursue ladies easily. He instead prefers to crush his own heart with longing for a girl then not do anything about it. He has a talent, a very special one. He has been able to play almost any instrument since he was a child, and has even designed one of his own. It has 4 thick strings drawn over a long neck, and a base that the strings attach to at the bottom. It produces a low, heavy sound. Playing and making music is and always has been his love. He doesn't flaunt this talent, and tries to find secluded spaces to play his music. He is mysterious at times, trying to keep himself from being noticed, wether it's just for fun or practice. He has his own dark secrets, of which he tries to hide, though there aren't many people to expose them to. He has an affinity to befriending animals and the like, so a bird flying into his window and eating his food is a welcome event for him. He can communicate with them on a basic level, and even he doesn't understand how or why.

Escaped from an island south of Britannia into Britannia for unknown reasons (to be PMed) at around the age of 13. He was immediately brought into the Academy, working as a janitor for about 5 years, until he could join the Academy

Can communicate with animals, possibly monsters, it is unknown since it has not been tested though. His control over the Animus is relatively low right now, as he has trouble controlling it. Has other powers, of which will be PMed to you.

During his free time, he will be designing instrumental style weapons. Right now, he is working on a bas- I mean a version of Lukas' instrument that emits waves of fire.
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: January 3rd

kptpyzm.jpg Height: 5’5” Weight: 105 lbs.

Like the eagle that her name is derived from, Aquilla’s greatest dream is to soar above all else. The way that she sees it, sitting and watching the clouds change is pointless when one can simply fly through the atmosphere with them. This unbridled ambition, however, brings with it shortcomings. Her motivation to succeed makes each and every one of her failures hurt that much more, and if she is incapable of accomplishing a task she will continue to push herself further and further until either she has succeeded or she is physically unable to continue. This stubbornness transfers directly into her interactions with other people, sticking with an argument no matter how dire her chances of getting the point through are. In any given situation, she knows exactly what she wants, and will do anything to get it, though this often ends in disaster. Because of this, she prefers to have control over the situation, and when she loses control,, she goes into a miniature panic. Her lack of engineering skills is a very soft spot for her, and she has trouble coping with the repeated failure that results from her attempting to build automatons.

Aquilla was born into a rich family, who lived a healthy life. Although they were not nobility, her family had a business based around searching through old ruins for artifacts to either sell or reverse engineer. During one of these expeditions, they discovered a very specific artifact: The Wings of Icarus. Sadly, they no longer worked, due to the fact that a previous raider had removed its oh so precious Daedalus Sphere. However, after adding in a recreated False Core, the contraption sprung to life. Of course, in this day and age, to fly was not enough, so they weaponized it and passed it onto Aquilla for trial testing. It was through this that Aquilla became interested in becoming a Knight-Engineer. Her parents enrolled her into Daedalus Academy, and with their influence, she is not required to serve the required 10 years of military service.

Aquilla is unnaturally agile for a human being her age, due to rigorous training throughout her years. With the use Pinnam Ensis, she can fly, and does so at extremely high speeds, surpassing 120 miles per hour and capable of outmaneuvering some of the most advanced skyships. She controls Pinnam Ensis with use of Animus, to which she has relatively impressive (though not extraordinary) control. Her basic physical strength is lacking compared to other students of her level, as is her typical running speed, and physical endurance. In short, if her wings have been clipped, she hardly stands a chance. Although she is capable of controlling automatons (Pinnam Ensis technically is one of these,) she does not understand the mechanisms and is utterly terrible in the field of automaton production.

Aquilla’s weapon is Pinnam Ensis, the feather blade. In its storing and inactive mode, Pinnam Ensis takes the form of a small backpack-like accessory. However, when applied Animus by Aquilla, the backpack will unfold into a pair of multi-plated mechanical wings designed to catch the natural updrafts in the atmosphere. This initial height, as well as further speed boosts, is accomplished through the use of a pair of small animus-powered rockets. Beyond its backpack and wing forms, Pinnam Ensis can further transform into a large circular using what was the feathers of the wings as blades. As it is an ancient Daedalus weapon, it has reasonably powerful cutting ability.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuu okay I've calmed down. But seriously, dammit, I just finished my application, and it was pretty long too! I had to do a bit of research into calculus, light refraction, the laws of motion, and building many other reference points about Isaac Newton, and I just lost it all. Honestly. I spent like three hours on this thing, and I just lost it all...
I'll leave this as a WIP for now, then, I guess... *SIGH*
Edit: Okay, I've rebuilt the majority of it. Now I just need to remember what sort of weapon I chose, or if not, what kind of weapon he should use.

Edit 2: Alright. I'm done.

Date of Birth: 25th of December
anime_steampunk_by_kuronah-d68k52o.jpg
Height is 5'6", weight is around 140 lbs. Equipments included.

On the outside, he gives off the presence of an calm, collected and brilliant intellectual whose theories and opinions on things are considered to be very valuable. To those who don't know him personally, including the majority of the professors and student body, due to his prodigal talent, they may even believe him to be the next Daedalus.

But for those who do, they would know that he's smug, providing his own opinions and theories as if they were fact whenever he sees the opportunity, lazy, complaining constantly whenever having to do physical work, and a coward, shrinking away from powerful monsters and easily terrified to the point of shrieking like a girl. He is also quite sensitive to criticism.

However, do not get the wrong idea. This man is indeed an intelligent prodigy, and when things relate not to him personally, he handles them very well. He is excellent at design and does not consider any one flaw in his creations to be 'minor'. When faced with important events about the world, he becomes a completely different person. One who sees the world from an entirely different perspective than other people. One who isn't afraid to bring about change, in science and in order, and perhaps even invent his own structures to compensate when others aren't available.

One who may even have his own agenda for the world.

For him, Daedalus College and becoming a Knight-Engineer may be nothing more than a stepping stone. This may indeed be the man capable of surpassing Daedalus.
Individual has not provided a biography to Daedalus College. Origin and background remain unclear.

However, it is known by the board that he is developing a higher level of mathematics than what is standard, called 'infinitesimal calculus'. Whether he has completed this yet is unknown, and he has yet to publish any material pertaining to this peculiar potential mathematical discipline.

Physically speaking, Isaiah isn't that great. He is inexperienced in combat, he has low stamina and gets tired quickly, and his reaction times are slow as well. Being more used to developing delicate, intrinsic machinery and calculating the laws of motion, he isn't used yet to such rigorous activities, but these habits do give him an advantage in the form of accuracy, boosted by his mechanical goggles. In combat, if he is on the field by himself, he will typically attempt to end it as soon as possible, or otherwise he wouldn't be able to keep up with his opponent. He will also try to avoid direct and close-range confrontations as much as possible.

However, when his automaton is on the field, everything changes. He will typically hide away while letting it do all do the work; through its Xenomorph-like design, it is outmatched by very few in terms of speed, strength, and even Animus efficiency since he dedicated a lot of time into calculating the most appropriate ratios, taking into account force, mass, and energy. It is very hard to take down, but if by some chance it's having trouble with its opponent, Isaiah will lend out support with his Gantfall.

By now, his intelligence when compared to this time and age should be obvious. He is a physicist first, an engineer second, and a fighter third.

Due to his lack of understanding of biology, he is horrible at using Animus on his own body, though he does have a lower-than-average ability to heal himself.

However, his ability to channel it through inanimate objects is absolutely extraordinary, perhaps even superhuman, and he is able to use it in a great variety of ways. First off, he is capable of using a minimal amount of his Animus in order to power any object, and he can also combine it with his mechanical skills so as to achieve a more efficient way of modifying complicated machinery. As long as he comprehends the structure and inner sizes (and if he doesn't, he can channel Animus throughout the entire thing in order to measure them), he is able to repair or improve damaged delicate parts via a combination of smelting, bending, hollowing, and other such ways, even putting materials in the form of scrap in through tiny openings if required. With enough effort and time, he may even be able to rebuild them entirely. Of course, he finds it difficult to apply this on anything that is larger or denser than a hardcover book.

While he still doesn't quite understand the concept of life energy, he rationalizes it as 'similar to steam, only it goes through the object itself, instead of within'.

He is able to speak fluent British, Gallian, and Draszeran, while still learning Noctylic.

The mechanical goggles he wears on his head is able to have Animus channeled through it, and it's very useful both while fighting and while spying, since it allows him to quickly adjust the focus and magnification of his vision, and in certain circumstances can even be used to project out light.

The headphone-like contraption also has a function, which when Animus is channeled through it, allows him to adjust his hearing and either focus on a particular conversation, or block out sound from a specific location. This is especially useful since his Gantfall tends to be loud.

He has several other gadgets and inventions, however, they are as of yet too impractical to utilize, so he keeps them in a trunk and tinkers with them when he has nothing else to do.

Classification: Terminator-class Battle Automaton

Description: This automaton...that is, if it could even be called an automaton...is an absolute monster.

While it has a humanoid shape, the modifications that Isaiah has done to make it more practical has also given it a far more unsettling, inhuman, and monstrous appearance ((has the overall form of a Xenomorph)), in order to make up for his own physical shortcomings.

If somebody were to see it from afar, they would most likely mistake it for a real monster or a demonic entity. Compared to other automatons, it is extremely fast (able to run quadrupedally if need be), durable (with a copper-beryllium frame stable enough to absorb heavy impacts), energy efficient (instead of raw power, it focuses upon physics and technique), viciously deadly (its tail, jaws, claws, and inner structure lined with toxic beryllium, reversed scythes attached to its arms, traps hidden within its body its claws designed to trap an enemy, and a powerful miniature cannon hidden within its 'jaws'), and even silent to an extent (all mechanical sounds and footsteps are muffled, joints thoroughly lubed to allow for quiet movement). Isaiah is experimenting with echolocation and acid to see if they can be incorporated into the model as well.

In truth, and this should be pretty obvious, the automaton is actually designed for a True Core despite the fact that it's powered by a False one. However, due to the lack of this, it seems as though its full potential cannot yet be accessed.

Its full origins are unknown, but it is plain and clear that a lot of calculations and a lot of effort were put into it, and that it is entirely original. Although, it does share an uncanny resemblance to an almost-mythical certain monster that may or may not roam the World...

Then there is his Daedalus Weapon, called the Gantfall. The original design was something noble, something that stood for justice, but Isaiah has taken the concept and modified it until it barely resembles the original thing anymore. Whereupon once it was orientated towards safely capturing opponents and resolving disputes peacefully, now it is something that can only bring forth suffering and death.

Its appearance appears to be simple at first, being a long gauntlet that is worn on his right hand, reaching all the way to his elbow. It is combined with different intensity types of bullet-firing, with a total of eight circling around it. Each one has a respective trigger that needs to be pulled, and in total, this gives him eight shots. All of them have heavy recoil, but he saves his arm from getting crushed by it via a combination of pressurization and Animus concentration - though it's still necessary to hold his arm in place when he fires since he would otherwise break his elbow. He is able to adjust between ordinary bullets and explosive bullets (though the explosive ones lack penetrating power).

The strongest bullet has enough recoil to throw his body a bit, but the most dangerous one is the least intense. In order to make up for its weakness, the bullet contained within it is made from a mysterious metallic alloy (beryllium), one that is stronger than steel, lighter than aluminium, and extremely toxic to both humans and monsters. It has the lightest recoil and is the least loud, if only ineffectual in exploding and difficult to penetrate things, making it only useful at close range.

The Gantfall has no targeting, and Isaiah relies purely upon his understanding of motion physics and mechanical goggles in order to aim, which is more than enough for him. Should the battle be underwater, within heavy winds, or should he be firing through something such as a wall, he'll pour Animus into his bullets as he fires them. While this will increase the recoil, it will minimize outside forces and help the bullet travel on-course.

No, no, no! You can't call that a weapon unless you stock it with approximately 3 pounds more explosive!"
Personal Information
Name: "Aegis" Real name Santa Domini

Age: 17

Gender: F

Date of Birth: 1 April

25rnr6a.jpg

She is around 5'2'', give or take. No real information about her weight exists, however.

Like her appearance suggests, Aegis is a very energetic, if not overly so. She is easily excitable, very talkative, curious to the point of just plain naivety, loud, obnoxious and often comes off as annoying to those around her. She also displays several traits of ADD, and, oddly enough, OCD. While she is so easily distracted to the point where holding a conversation with her for more than 3 minutes is difficult, she often takes apart any mechanical object of interest and reassemble it only to take it apart again.

She is very interested in learning new things, especially if said thing is potentially dangerous and/or mechanical. Preferably both. When not locked in her room studying gun physics and disassembling various objects, she often experiments with explosives. Highly volatile, dangerously unstable explosive, for that matter. However, her loud and airhead personality hides an intelligent mind. Despite not looking like it, Aegis is a very capable engineer. So talented, in fact, to the point of being able to craft a gun which is 5 times more accurate than any other before entering Daedalus College, as well as numerous other prototype explosive devices. She seeks to revolutionize the weapon industry and show the world that the gun trumps the blade-like Daedalus Weapons.

Aegis is very skilled at using and making guns, capable of shooting her targets accurately from a range that comparable to The Empire's elite marksmen. However, her skills are only limited to her guns and explosive. She has no hand-to-hand combat abilities whatsoever and pretty much anyone her age can knock her out easily.
Her usage of Animus is very crude and limited, as she is only capable of using it to repair any imperfections in any object she channels it to. The repair is near instantaneous and has the effect of protecting any object from destruction as long as her Animus flows through it.

Obviously, she speaks fluent British and speaks a very little bit of Gallian and Draszeran.

Her combat strategy can be summed up in one sentence: "How can I make this explosion three times bigger than it is safe?" She utilizes several guns in combat, including a prototype sniper rifle she designed and built herself, several flintlock pistols and several "normal" weapons  she collects from all over the World. Most of these guns are just for display in her gun cabinet, and she rarely uses any of them other than Laevateinn.

Her main weapon is the custom-built sniper rifle, nicknamed Laevateinn. It shoots highly explosive rounds and is designed in such a dangerous and stupid way that it's pretty much unusable when Aegis' Animus is not applied to it. Any imperfections in the barrel will result in the bullets exploding prematurely in the shooter's face, and each shot fired damages the barrel slightly. Aegis' Animus pretty much negates this risk, but she still have to be very careful when using it. Despite being far ahead of its time, Aegis is not yet done with it. She seeks to upgrade it everyday, and she plans to have a False Animus Core installed in it at some point. While not an actual Daedalus Weapon, Aegis pretty much declares it to be one anyway.

Her secondary weapon is a miniature harpoon gun attached to her left wrist. The gun itself has limited range and is even more inaccurate than ordinary weapons. However, the cable attached to the harpoon is laced with liquid explosives that go boom when temperatures around it exceed 40 degrees. Her strategy with this involves firing the gun, hope it hits the target, then run away the opposite side as fast as possible, causing the cable to snap and hopefully the friction from the pull ignites and melts whoever is on the receiving end.
She gives the name "Aegis" to herself in a vague attempt to sound more 'cool', as she thinks her actual name is too boring.

...an RWBY weapon, by any chance?

EDIT: Minori's finally done now. I was gonna do a back story, but then I suddenly decided it was a waste of everyone's time, and ditched it as a result.

Untitled_zps328f68ac.png
"Things aren't always...! Awe, crap..."

*clears throat for no apparent reason*

"Things aren't always as they appear on the surface, and neither are people for that matter! I should know; I'm a prime example."
Personal Information
Name: Minori Rutherford
Age: 17
Gender: [acronym='Minori was born with an extra X chromosome however, which explains why his body appears WAY too feminine for a boy']Male[/acronym]
Date of Birth: August 13

Minori stands at 5' 8", somewhere in the middle of the typical girl-his-age and boy-his-age height, and weighs 141lbs, a rather ideal weight for someone of a small frame like himself. Minori generally alternates between combinations of male and female clothing throughout his weekly life, but he's certainly not afraid of [acronym='but be thankful he's smart enough to draw the line on miniskirts']wearing a skirt in public[/acronym], or anything purple or pink or girly or whatever. Another notable thing is that his contact lens, worn in his right eye, appears blue in contrast to his naturally red eyes, but for the life of him he can't find the other one. This explains why he appears to have heterochromia.

Due to the other X chromosome that Minori was born with, a small pair of breasts can be seen on his upper chest, which are B-cup in size. Since formation, however, these breasts have been remolded completely and at least now appear more... "normal", in appearance, rather than as badly deformed as one would expect. But they are too small for Minori to convince himself that he needs a bra... which is a good thing because that's the one item of clothing he hates most. Also, once again because of the other X chromosome that he was born with, Minori's downstairs department isn't exactly of a size to be proud of :/

sample_5b535a681b8688d15a6126ca089ba1280

Whilst assuming the persona of a girl, Minori tries to be assertive; not just for himself, but against anyone that tries to criticize the way that he is. Although if he had his way, he'd never have to deal with boys to begin with. He knows what the vast majority of them are like; they're rude, obnoxious, simple-minded, and all they ever think about is girls. As such, Minori wants nothing to do with them, and will only go anywhere near them when he feels he has to stand up for someone. Minori also doesn't really want to get into a relationship with anyone, boy or girl, but he has a heavy crush with his childhood friend [acronym='which I've yet to construct an app for']Stellar Tetanus[/acronym], which he fears will blow the whole persona he's assuming out of the water. He also has the odd feelings for other girls, but he tries not to let that phase him.

But now that he's had a total of 8 years experience, Minori is very comfortable assuming the persona of a girl. However, although he's abandoned most of the guy-like traits that he had when he was a little boy, he still has a sheer handful of traits unique to him; he wants to become stronger from a physical standpoint, he doesn't care so much about most things that girls commonly make a drama out of, and most interestingly, he actually has a strong passion of making his very own automatons and whatnot. The latter is a rare passion for a girl; so much so that to be honest, Minori is surprised that he's never actually been called out for being a boy in disguise before, rather than just assumed to be a plain old tomboy. Still, Minori has no intentions of unveiling his true gender just yet.

Minori's waiting for an accomplishment to make that no other person has managed yet; figure out what exactly made the Daedalus Sphere work its magic, so then it can be once again mass produced, and existing Daedalus Spheres will no longer need to be excavated. Making the discovery alone has been Minori's sole dream for quite some time, and every day at recess, he hits the library looking through multitudes of books on the subject, hoping he comes across something that gives him a brain-wave. The problem is that science was never exactly Minori's strong suit. But what he lacks in immediate knowledge of the subject, he makes up for in stubbornness and determination to chase his dream, and in his mind, that could just be enough to force it into reality.

At his normal state of physique, Minori is... mediocre at best. Sure, he might be able to out-muscle the odd weakling, but if one can hold his or her own in a street fight, one can just as easily kick his butt in one. However, to make up for this, Minori can use Animus without a moment's hesitation... and most likely will if he has to. More specifically, Minori has the power to greatly amplify how fast he can move. He's even ultimately capable of running at the speed of sound in a flash, but the faster he tries to run using the Animus, the more pain that surges through his body afterwards. As such, he refuses to push himself to such ridiculous speeds unless in an emergency... say, dodging a sudden explosion for example. However, Minori can also channel this extra speed into his or any allied automatons, with the same drawbacks of course.

Minori has also almost mastered the falsetto that he had been working a total of 8 years on, so that he couldn't get humiliated for sounding like a guy and yet looking like a chick. In fact, he can speak in this falsetto so fluently that even most sudden emotions won't throw him off into breaking it in an untimely manner. However, there are still two fail-safe ways in which Minori will unintentionally break the falsetto and return to his normal, more masculine speaking voice; those are to genuinely surprise Minori, or send him into a state of shock or panic. Once done, Minori won't be able to speak in his falsetto again until he manages to calm down.

As far as languages not named the Britiannian language goes, Minori can actually speak the language of the Crescent Isles quite decently. The hard part is handling those that speak such a language too hastily, as Minori is slow to work out what the hell such people are saying.

Automatons built by the Rutherford family, including Minori himself, have a signature trait of having four arms apiece, and are built with strength and endurance mind. These automatons tend to specialize in manual labor, but they're more than capable of performing combat duties in a pinch. Over automatons of their bulk, Rutherford automatons have the advantage of precision; as such, they can do such tasks from threading wires to disarming explosives without a hitch, and are less likely to cause even minor accidents than automatons issued the same task. If the Rutherford automatons have a common flaw, it would be that they're not normally very alacrative, as a price of their size and weight. However, Minori tends to have this problem covered with his use of Animus... most of the time.

One such automaton sometimes accompanies Minori while he's out and about the Daedalus College campus on a reasonably regular basis. This automaton is called Sigil by the immediate Rutherford Family, and was built by hand by the head of said family Julius Rutherford, to protect his son Minori against bullies who'd dare insult him for his transexuality. Sigil stands at a height of 7' 1", weighs approximately 924lbs and takes up a total of [acronym='IIRC, that leaves 32" x 39", which is roughly what I want.']1248 sq. in. of surface area on flat ground[/acronym], including space for its four arms and its legs. Inside its chest, Sigil houses Minori's weapon of choice for emergencies: a pair of gunblades that each resemble a gladuis for the most part, but have a trigger that allows for the firing of multiple pallets at a time. Such pallets are fired in a cone formation, [acronym='so basically it's a gladius and sawn-off shotgun combo... and Minori has TWO of them']not uncommon in modern-day shotguns[/acronym].

NOTE: As you can see in the quote above, I have designated two colors for Minori's dialogue. When I color a piece of his dialogue orange, it means that he's speaking in his normal voice which, given his appearance of a girl, should be treated as abnormal. When I color it pink (or violet according to this silly thing, cause it looks pink to everyone else  <_<), it means he's using his falsetto. I may mix these colors from time to time, but I'm trusting that none of you are color-blind.

Ideal Voice Actors:

Normal Speaking Voice: Tony Salerno (English)/Toshiyuki Kusuda (Japanese)

Falsetto: Melissa Fahn (English)/Fumiko Orikasa (Japanese)

Theme Song: Emergency, by Paramore

Oh, and um... all hail Lelouch, apparently... whoever he is.
