Anyway, I'd like to point out that Animus can't really repair inanimate objects.

Okay let me get down to some very basic Animus theory.

When healing a person, Animus empowers your cells to divide faster and such whereas there would have to be some sort of nano-machine or something if you meant to repair machines the same way. Some people innately know how to do heal or figure it out through messing around, but everyone's different. It isn't meant to be very rapid regeneration, but moreover something like most video games, though if you heal, you drain yourself.

Like using healing spells in Video Games, where it'll drain your mana? And two questions arise in response to your explanation. What's the relation between Animus and the cores (and the automatons)? And is there any natural streams of animus, or is everyone drawing from the same pool all the time?

Animus comes from within and regenerates slowly. The cores make the connection between Animus and machines smoother as Animus is generally reserved to living creatures.

Ah, anyways, what are the limitations for the second characters of each person? Since they can be a non-freshman, does they still need to be a member of the academy?

Nope. They can be anyone, as long as I say it's okay and it won't interfere with what I have planned.

Larger melons than in the picture, slows cleavage. Prefers short-shorts and short skirts. 5'8", 140 pounds.

Sarah loves love. She loves falling into it, crushing other's, watching it happen, and most of all, causing it. She is extremely flirtatious, as she will "play friendly with almost any boy. She likes to have her options with her boys, but when she finds the right one, she makes sure she crushes all the others and loves him like no other. She's provocative in both ways, both sexually and anger wise. She will sometimes hold her legs open a second longer than she should while switching leg positions, or "accidentally" show the top of her panties while sitting. She likes to get under your skin if she doesn't like you. She likes to figure out what makes you tick, then pour acid on it. Sarah is very deceptive and mysterious, part of what makes her so desirable. She draws you in, then shuts the window when you're about to get a peek. She is self confident, and it shows when she speaks.p, but not to the point in which her self compliments sound desperate.

Grew up in Britannia in a wealthy family. Her father is a strict, over bearing type, who grew up as a Knight Engineer. The bond they share is mostly in piloting (?) automatons.

Sarah has lots of experience with using the Animus, making her very good at using it. She prefers to use her animus in hand to hand combat for boosts in area targeting. She knows where to hit to both disable or/(preferably) and cause immense pain. She prefers keeping her enemies at bay, in order to keep control with the length of her weapon. Her only "talent" is charming boys and girls alike.

Sarah has a long pole arm, about 7 feet long, combined with a Sniper Rifle. And I'm assuming this is after the New World fiasco weapons wise, which is when French-Rifle men with scopes started developing.
Personal Information
Name: Ezeltainn Kalashnikov

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Date of Birth: February 19

F1aEfTz.jpg?1

Weight: 121 lb (55 kg)
Height: 5' 4" (1.65 m)
He is physically fit but certainly not tough, as he trains to be fast, rather than strong, to take advantage of his slim body.

Ezeltainn is modest, quiet and shy, but a bit of a madman in the inside. This doesn't mean he avoids interaction with people at all costs, as, by hiding his face with his gas mask and broken goggles, he can overcome his shyness and socialize normally with his peers with an enthusiastic behavior. But if his goggles and mask were to be removed during a conversation, he would get nervous and would try to hide his face with his hands or whatever he is holding at that time. For this reason, people rarely see his face, except by his close friends, with whom he is not shy in the least.
While he is considered one of the best engineers of his generation, he doesn't brag about it and would rather go unnoticed.
However, behind that cloak of shyness lies a boy who enjoys chaos and shutting things down (but never goes as far as harming allies or entirely destroying important equipment). This mischievous side of him becomes gradually evident once he feels comfortable with someone or with a group.
He always tries to aid and collaborate with his allies and friends as much as possible, and when working in a team he prefers to take a support role rather than strive for the leadership.

Ezeltainn was a orphan kid born in Draszera and attended to school, where he was introduced to engineering at an early age and discovered he had an affinity towards it.
At that time, a young but nationally renowned female researcher was their teacher who, moved by the kid's personality and dedication, paid special attention to him; while Ezeltainn found a great friend in her. When she learned that Ezeltainn was orphan, the teacher decided to adopt him, and Ezeltainn couldn't be happier.
When Ezeltainn was 10, her now mother got in trouble with the Draszeran Academy and had to fled the country taking the boy with her, and both where welcomed by the Empire of Britannia. To this day, Ezeltainn's mother has not yet explained him why they had to leave Draszera.

After moving to Britannia they left behind a lot of their belongings, and while her mother, being a recognized researcher, is now working for an important Britannian institution, they certainly are not rich. As such, Ezeltainn is currently a middle class citizen.

Ezeltainn excels in engineering and is able to detect, identify, handle, repair and disable most known equipment and machinery, including those based on Animus.
He is smart enough to be able to craft his own unique gadgets that even the most skilled engineers are unable to replicate.

He always carries a backpack or toolbox with a wide array of tools and devices for repairing and disabling equipment at any time.
On the field, he can scavenge fragments of destroyed or disabled equipment to improvise gadgets that can be helpful on his travel; however, those gadgets are doomed to a short lifespan because of the recycled materials, and the options of gadgets he can craft depend of the nature and state of the scavenged materials. (e.g. from an undamaged recon drone he might be able to craft a portable radar, but he definitely cannot craft any sort of weapon out of it).
Coming from Draszera, Ezeltainn understands the native language of that country and is familiar with both Gallian and Draszeran technology.

When it comes Animus, Ezeltainn is able to transfer his own to artifacts with an Animus Core to both operate them and increase their durability and strengh. He is also able to use Animus on himself for increasing his speed and reflexes. However, he has not yet mastered the ability of using Animus to strengthen or regenerate himself.

As a dedicated engineer, Ezeltainn fights with a mechanical, slightly oversized claw hammer named Kaxovor, and is long enough to be held with both hands. This hammer has a built-in False Animus Core, which Ezeltainn charges with his own Animus to boost the resistance and offensive capabilities of the weapon. In addition, the hammer can be used as a tool, and is designed to damage and destroy vehicles and automatic equipments/weapons (automatic cannons, exo-skeletons, automatons, etc.), but it is not as effective in combat against monsters and enemy soldiers. Still, Ezeltainn is skilled with using it as a weapon and is able to fight opponents back.

Ezeltainn is accompanied by a False Animus Core automaton with the shape of a tree lizard, named Ryzewik, designed by both him and his mother. Ryzewik is as long as Ezeltainn's arm and as heavy as his weapon so he can carry it with ease. It was designed to be fast, and, while it starts as a prototype, it will be eventually upgraded to being made of one of the strongest alloys available, capable of resisting attacks from most weapons. It is equipped with sharp teeth for damaging opponents or destroying devices and equipment, with short claws for cutting and climbing, and the ability of screech to startle opponents and/or alert his owner from hazards.

Ezeltainn uses Ryzewik as an scout, utility or support unit by equipping it with a wide array of attachments that he carries on his backpack, including containers for delivery, tactical grenades (smoke, gas, etc.), and even a small gun. However, it can only be equipped with 1 attachment at a time.

Ezeltainn engages in close combat with his weapon, assisted by Ryzewik who either sticks to his arm as a shield, moves around him to block incoming attacks from any direction, or hides to unleash surprise attacks. With his lizard-like design, Ryzewik can also attempt to climb the opponent to bite and/or distract it, leaving it open to Ezeltainn's hammer attacks.

By boosting his own speed and reflexes through animus, in combination with his training and light weight, he able to reach high speeds, avoid most incoming attacks and counter the opponent properly. But he still cannot avoid wide-area attacks, in which case he takes a defensive stance.
In short, Ezeltainn's specialty is counter-technology support, and can prove himself useful in exploration and espionage missions.
"You people spend too much time tinkering with your little toys. Do you not see that there is an entire world out there, just waiting to be taken by those with the strongest will?"
Personal Information
Name: Robert “Robby” Flavus

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Date of Birth: July 17th

kN2c8Ga.jpg 6’1” 160 lbs

Since he was a young child, Robby has taken the easiest paths in life: those that gave him the greatest reward for the least effective effort. He is extremely friendly, eager to learn as much about others as he can. Even when the people that he is around have no sort of good intentions for Robby, such as city policemen, he will remain lighthearted on the outside, laughing and grinning as he kicks out the door of the police carriage and jumps out. Around females, Robby is extraordinarily calm and even knows trace amounts of Gallian to butter them up (and loosen their purses). Despite his outer happy-go-lucky appearance, this attitude is simply a shell he created to protect himself. He is not quick to trust others, do to his knowledge of how truly malicious human beings can be, instead living off of himself. His greatest fear is the inevitable point at which his past actions catch up to him and he will have to pay the consequences.

Like the many new freshmen, Robby once went to Daedalus College, using the default system through which he would be pledged to serve 10 years in the Brittanian military. However, before his education at the college finished, he ran away, beginning a life as a thief (or rather, a thief with Brittanian military level of training).

Unlike many other Knight-Engineers, Robby uses a very minimal amount of technology, with his only weapon being his knife, which is used as a utility more often. Rather than using automatons or Daedalus weapons, Robby channels his Animus directly through his own body, enhancing his speed, strength, agility, and resistance to injury. However, due to this inefficient use of Animus, Robby’s physical endurance is very low, so he tends to avoid conflict rather than getting in prolonged fights. He is extremely skilled in the art of freerunning, and spends very little time on the actual city streets, moving throughout the rooftops instead (the obvious exception being when he is intentionally in the street pickpocketing). His reflexes are good enough to dodge sniper bullets, and he is agile enough to evade the majority of close-ranged attacks as well. If needed, he can throw his knife very accurately at extremely high speeds, hitting targets up to 20 meters away. Although he does not have much of a dedicated weapon, Robby can quickly learn how to use various tools and weapons, and is able to improvise most objects around him into weapons of some sort. "I'll show you why I am called a 'Feld'!"
Personal Information
Name: Amelia Feld Erlze
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: February 9th

zk5mop.jpg

Amelia Erlze is about 5'8" and is at a healthy weight for a girl her age.  While obviously she doesn't wear modern garb like above, she does prefer to dress in loose clothing.  She presents herself as a fun person to be around, and generally doesn't project an air of nobility.  Unless she has to appear as a noble, then everyone is surprised.

At first glance, one might peg Amelia as one of those sporty energetic girls. One would be surprised at the fact that she also enjoys reading both fiction and non-fiction, and playing on gameboards with others. She prefers to stay active and enjoy life, shirking away from things she does not like. On the other hand, when people pin their expectations upon her, she tends to want to live up to said expectations... depending on the person, of course. This is because she is rather lonely, and does not want to push people away. As such, she does try to be kind and understanding, but if someone angers her enough, she can suddenly snap. Amelia tends to speak what's on her mind when relaxed, though stressful situations often have her suddenly become quiet as she tries to work out a solution.

As one may have inferred, Amelia is curious, sometimes too curious for her own good. She also has a tendency of not finishing what she started once she finds something new to hold her interest. She has been getting better as of late, though she often has to remind herself to focus on something or another. She does sometimes come off as a braggart, as she is proud of her accomplishments, and does not take well for those who belittle them.

Given the name of 'Feld', Amelia was thought to be the rising star of the Erlze noble house for her sharp mind. She hated the name due to the pressure it puts on her, though since her mother died in the war, she now wears it with pride. She has two younger brothers who are being groomed for joining the nobility proper, while Amelia is given full reign to make a name for herself. So far, she is only really known as the dark horse from the last Triscone tournament, reaching the semifinals... she hoping to expand that further.

Part of that is her ability to control automatons with two Animus Cores in such a way that drastically increases their power, though such machines have to be built with her specifically in mind. The Erlze have connections with a automaton manufacturer, so that's where she would get her custom automatons unless another would want to build something that only Amelia could really use. Such an automaton can almost match one with a Daedalus sphere. It is to the point that Amelia doesn't need to pay tuition, as long as others can study how she can pull off such a feat.

A strange thing is that most 'Feld's from the Erlze house historically either marry into other houses or vanish off the grid entirely; regardless, each Feld eventually stopped dealing with the Erlze house directly... Amelia's pretty intent on not having that happen to her.

Physical:
Amelia is pretty agile and has a large amount of stamina, but she is not very strong. She has a good balance and is... not very skilled in combat, relying on her massive automaton weapon to do anything of importance.

Mental:
Amelia is a quick thinker, and can take in the big picture (if reminded - sometimes she gets stuck on the little details). Not that good with machines; she really only knows enough to get by. She is an excellent Triscone player, and can play many other games well, given the time to learn.

Animus:
Amelia is decent at Animus control, but has the unique ability to intuitively channel two Cores simultaneously in such a fashion that their power is greatly magnified.  Greater than the sum of the parts and all that. It's not refined, as the automaton must specifically be built for her, but such automaton are more powerful than they appear.

"Feld" is an ancient Germanian word, roughly translated as 'future hope', used to describe something one has great expectations of. There was a time when nobility would use random words from other languages as kind of titles, though only a few are in use today.

This automaton can be used both on its own and as a Daedalus weapon. It is designed that way in order to save money. When wielded as a weapon, it is a massive shield-like weapon worn over the arm. It is almost as tall as Amelia herself is, and needs Animus channeled through it in order to even carry the thing. Defensively, it is a good shield, able to fend off even other Daedalus weapons for awhile. The bottom of the 'shield' is a pointed tip, which can seperate into a massive claw-like weapon. The pointed tips have decent penetrative power, but the true power of the weapon comes from its namesake. It crushes things. When the claw weapon reverts from it's opened state back to its closed state, it exerts a strong force, capable of destroying anything caught it's grip.

As an automaton, it travels by hovering a bit off the ground, and attacks with the pointed claw that now sits at the front of it. It is tough to catch it as its hover ability can repel it from any surface, although quick strikes can damage it before this ability triggers.  It can carry a person without falling, and it is fairly stable; Amelia has often rode it, as it is faster than walking.  Without any additional weight it can move quite fast; a basic attack pattern would include a head-on charge catching the target off guard.

The hover ability is only available if Amelia uses Claw Crusher, as that effect can only achieved by using both cores as Amelia does.

One accesses the inner workings of Claw Crusher by removing the large panel that faces outward when used as a shield, or one of the four panels that face inward.  Each panel is *thick*, each one being about an inch thick.  Within lies a maze of machinery, and two false cores.  A keen eye would notice four gyroscopes installed in the unit as well; if one discounts the portion used for the claw, each gyroscope would be placed in a corner of the machine.

As far as the mechanical aspect goes, the only discernable points of articulation involve the claw part, in order to make it open and snap shut.  As far as that goes, the mechanism is quite... ordinary; nothing about suggests where the massive crushing power comes from.  The rest of the machinery linked with the false cores and the gyroscopes, in a symmetrical fashion, as if each gyroscope provided the same function.  There is a simple sliding piece of metal that seems to work with the false cores, somehow, though it is seperated from the rest of the system and needs to me manually flipped by the user on the 'inside' portion of Claw Crusher.  It can be locked in one of two positions.  The claw can be operated manually as well, but that at least is connected with the Animus side of it.

If one were to try to operate Claw Crusher without using Animus, it would be heavy and tough to carry, and its crushing power would be... normal for something that large that can snap shut on a whim.  It would not be able to crush turret barrels like Amelia did during the orientation, nor all the neat hovering tricks.

The two false cores are linked in such a way that normally, Claw Crusher would explode into bits and pieces.  There are many different ways to link together cores, but the double-direct link used int Claw Crusher is dangerous, as it generates an incredible, yet unstable amount of power when Amimus is channeled through it.  This is common knowledge, and many an aspiring engineer has had an experimental design blow up in their face due to trying to work around this.  The sliding sheet of metal seems to be able to open and sever this connection at will, such that Claw Crusher can work with a single core, as the second core is only connected to the other one.  A single core, however, cannot fully power the automaton: the best it could do would to allow the automaton to operate the claw without manual control.

Cotrary what normal schooling would teach, double-direct links *are* used sometimes, but usually specialists build machines using them.  The most common use is for large aircraft.  In order to take off, a sudden burst of power is needed, this is provided by a double-direct link between two or more cores.  These are usually activated for a short period of timeat takeoff, and also contain automated safeties to make sure the machine doesn't explode if the pilot is careless.  Some novels have used this as a plot point, letting the protagonist of a story use this system by bypassing the safeties to gain a burst of speed.  Aircraft engineers note that this is possible, but theres a very good chance that the aircraft would explode instead.  Or do nothing at all, if not enough Animus is channeled.  As said, it's not just used for large aircraft, but generally, the automaton/machine must be of a certain size before this is even possible to utilize safely.  Of couse, this is all thrown out the window if a Daedalus Core is used instead, as it can provide the needed energy on its own, without the danger.

When Amelia uses Claw Crusher, it emits a strong field of Animus around itself.  Those who use Animus to reinfore their bodies would recognize that the field is very similar to what they utilize, though it is clear that it is being processed through a core and amplified.  This field is elastic, and rejects solid matter.  This allows it to function extremely well as a shield, as the field can reject the solid matter before it touches the automaton proper.  Piercing weapons and particularly heavy weapons can deal damage through the field, though the force would be lessened.  Had the turrets during the orientation actually fired live ammo; Claw Crusher probably would have been damaged during the rush.

Even without knowing about the Animus field directly, one could see the strange ways that Claw Crusher interacts with its enviroment.  For example, the animus field absorbs much of the weight from Claw Crusher, which is how Amelia is able to carry it with ease when it is on.  It's hovering movement is due to shifting the field below it, essentially launching it forwards.  And the crushing power itself is due to the field as well; when under scrutiny the things being crushed will be revealed to have not been touching Claw Crusher at all for the most part.  By channeling the field in between the pincers, the target being crushed has to resist the physical closing of the pincers, and the Animus field around it attempting to reject the physical matter.

The only problem (besides the lack of a ranged option), is that Claw Crusher's Animus field is limited in power.  For example, if Claw Crusher is crushing something, that leaves limited power for other uses.  If Amlia is wielding it, then the rest of the power goes to making sure Claw Crusher stays light in her hands (arm?).  Channeling more Animus will not help; that's an easy way for the machine to explode.  Besides that, if one were to somehow damage one of the gyroscopes, then, for Amelia's safety, a uniform field will coat the machine.  This makes it less effective at everything; fortunately, the gyroscoped are well hidden within the machine.

Gameboards are a form of entertainment, not unlike automaton. They are usually flat surfaces that can manipulate pieces of metal placed upon them (kind of like magnetism) by channeling Animus. These are used for all kinds of games, from make-believe role playing games to things like boardgames... and Triscone.

Triscone is a chess-like game that are played on two boards linked together and players move three pieces at a time per turn... simultaneously. After a certain amount of time (a turn), each player moves their pieces at the same time as the other. So, nothing like chess. In fiction, Triscone is used like chess in the real world as a 'thinking man's game'. So... kind of like chess, in a meta sense.

It fits Amelia, since her specialty will be battlefield tactics once her talent begins to blossom.

Personal Information
Name: Arthur van Grimmhuld

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Date of Birth: October 3rd

Height: 5'9" and Weight: 165 lbs.

Without mask on, people see a normal face, with black hair and hazel eyes.

Always wears his cape. Many do not know why.

Arthur is oftentimes called "crazy" or "reckless", though the term he prefers is "bold". He can however, be reckless, as shown by the multiple chars and scars he has acquired while "tinkering" with fire and blades. His cape is important to him, as he considers it to be a symbol of his numerous triumphs and battles (though most are triumphs of science). He is a reliable and honest (sometimes bluntly honest) person and likes meeting new people and helping them however he can. His friendliness can lead him to be quite a flirt at time, which again, is quite reckless and often results in him getting a nice, firm b----slap. No matter how often he gets into trouble, he usually pulls through it, and keeps on going happily.

He has a large amount of pride in his works, and takes any criticism quite seriously, which causes him to strive to make his equipment and skills better every day.

Arthur is an extremely skilled craftsman, with many feats in engineering and pyrotechnics, he can craft basic weapons with ease. He speaks fluently in all of the main languages of Brittania and it's major surrounding lands, save for the language of the Crescent Isles. His skill with a sword is great, and with his strength, he can parry enemy strikes easily.

He often uses his flamethrower to smelt metals.
Combat Info
Arthur fights with his sword, which he engineered to interlock with his arm-thrower, called Fatalis. Fatalisis is powered by Arthur's Animus, and functions as a flamethrower, though Arthur frequently uses it as if it were a shield. When Wingbeat (the sword, dubbed such for the sound it makes when swung) is locked into Fatalis, it is used as a normal sword, but, the combination allows for Arthur to channel the flames into the barrels that he built into his sword. When the flames are channeled, they come out as bullet-sized fire-orbs, which he fires one at a time.

Thar ya go! And surprise! I'm playing a dude this time.

Would there be any realistic way to unleash Animus in explosive bursts? Like shock waves or the like?

Edit: Yay, decided my main weapon!
For those who are curious what it is, it's a energy gun thing, sort of like Ruby's short-ish folded machine gun/a turret? But it has a long blade folded into it, which can transform it into a longer, one and a half handed sword, using the same energy it would fire from the gun to make an energy blade on one side.

This leads me to a question. Can the energy be Animus? Or some deviant of it? If yay, hooray. If not, I'll have it be expressed as some other sort of energy.
