Oh, I see. It was a disappointment because it was hyped for fights and stuff, and instead we got this (I mean, there was some good action but it felt like there would be more, right?). That makes sense, but doesn't mean I didn't really enjoy it.

Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga.

You wouldn't be interested in it.

And an imouto is a younger sister.

Strange+: Boring episode for a joke anime, but what got most of my attention was the image at the end. TENTAFACEBOOBS~!

Onee-chan ga Kita: A stand-off between the popular girl and the hot big sister. Sh*t's getting intense, yo.

Pupa: Adequate back story, but why is there a witch there? I must have missed the explanation if there was one.

Engaged to the Unidentified: I had my doubts at first, but I'm really warming up to this now. Every character has their own reason to be lovable.

Magical Warfare: Guy finds out he's a magic user and attends a magic school to hone his skills... now where have I seen that before? *ponders*

Z/X Ignition: Ah, the classic "higher being adapting to human life" episode. Can't say I was impressed, but the conflict between Ayase and angels has me curious.

Hamatora: Again, I had my doubts. This is turning into a very interesting anime. Kinda feels like Durarara, in a way.

Welp weekly episodes review, haven't seen everything yet but I'll get to them eventually.

 • Nobunaga the Fool: Really loving the arcana motif and I feel like a dumbass for not realizing 'the Fool'. Talking of which that is a strangely really cool name for a mecha. I just hope Nobu's little brother survives this time, unlike history....Also, Jeanne as Ranmaru is really fucking win, considering Nobunaga and Ranmaru had a sexual relationship together, and the latter committed seppuku to follow the former to death. Which ultimately means my Nobu x Jeanne ship might be legit. And Davinci AKA SUGITA is as glorious as ever.
 • Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta: Claire Cruz! Also the shipper inside me literally screamed when the sister realizes no one's pairing with her, and then looks at the silver haired dude. That aside, introduction to the cast, not a lot of stuff happened yet, just waiting for the suffering.
 • Noragami: This show really is solid. Loved this episode as well. Really loving that OP, really loving that supercell ED, really loving the cast overall.
 • Witch Craft Works: BDSM themes aho! So the explanation for what the hell is going on that I hoped would come with this episode didn't come, which kinda sucks. Otherwise it was enjoyable enough, and I'm enjoying the presence of the five tower witches.
 • Hamatora: Finally a good opening animation. I'm quite a bit more impressed with this episode compared to the first one. Brain motif, food motif, this episode was pretty well thought-out. Aside from the eating girl and the white haired detective guy the cast isn't enjoyable to me yet but I suppose as it continues I'll like it more.
 • Nobunagun: More crazy ass guns yo, THE NOBUNAGA THREE LINE VOLLEY, goddamn that was badass. Thing's going too fast for my tastes but yo this is fun. Nobunaga, Gandhi, and Newton in my animu is always coolio. Also despite budget issues, this show seems to get around that by being SHAFT-ish, which is also pretty cool.
 • D-Frag: Lovely as ever, the Real game dev. club president is lovely. For a second I feared for drama in my D-Frag, but then things got lighthearted and fun again and I'm satisfied. That opening song is pretty addictive too. I NEVER KNOW WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy
 • Buddy Complex: So far the most disappointing thing I've seen this season. Time travelling plot point is cool and all, but the mecha designer needs to go kill himself. Everything's pretty generic and I'm not getting that fun trainwreck feel like I did with Valvrave. Dio(WRRYYYYYYYYYY-no) could potentially be an interesting character, but for now nothing is grabbing my attention much, except for dat Hina at the end.
 • Nisekoi: From last week actually. I have to say...SHAFT...well done you bloody fuckers. Nisekoi is enjoyable, but pretty much the same usual schtick. I did not expect SHAFT to be able to adapt it while inserting their own SHAFT flavor and shafting it so well that it feels new and very different. Additionally, HanaKan as Onodera is a huge fuck yes moment for me. I've always been an Onodera shipper and I really hope she wins because she is one of the most adorable things I've ever seen in a harem rom-com, and HanaKan voicing her only makes it better and better.
 • Hoozuki no Reitetsu: Episode one, somewhat mediocre. Not mediocre as in done bad, but as in I'm not laughing quite as much as I feel I usually would. The opening is strangely cute, the whole continuing of Momotaro's story is pretty funny, but otherwise it ain't clicking as much. Still gonna stick cuz I like that shinto theme, but I will probably do a rewatch in the future once I understand more Japmythology.

More episodes seen edition:

 • Mahou Sensou: Episode's not really an improvement over the first. Even with HanaKan(haven't checked but I do pride my ears enough to be able to tell it's HanaKan. Please tell me it's HanaKan) as the gun girl, thing overall just ain't clicking. Dropped.
 • Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha: The goddess is just...so blindingly...beautiful. Not cute. Not sexy. Just downright beautiful. I like the kansai dialect in the show, and thing overall seems like a fun ride, so I'm in.
 • Golden Time: Might as well have stuff from last season. This episode is full of Koko-delicious. Koko and Chinami bros for life. Also, my ship...it has been sunk...and cruelly NTR'd.....;_; At least Yana's happy.....probably........I don't know anymore........;_;
 • Yowamushi Pedal: Pacing's slow as ever, barely anything happening in this episode. Manami overall seems like a cool guy though, and we have some motivation for Onoda-kun. Also, I really, really am loving that new OP. Better than OP1, but ED1 is better than ED2.
 • more to come

Have to say her voice has definitely been clicking with me much more than Hanazawa ever did. With her also being Kanon and Chitoge, her voice can get quite different but still insanely awesome.

Well, considering what the author has said, it is no wonder I am liking Magical Warfare so much. It came about when he tried to make a magical girl thing. I'm not even caring it isn't so full of action.

Koko really annoys me. The fact that they all went out and none of them caught a cold in all that, considering what I know of anime, is pretty weird.

D-Frag had more "drama" but personally it's been perfect the way it has been being. It doesn't interrupt the best part nearly often enough for me to get annoyed, and I haven't been minding it.
I suppose that's the end of the current arc, considering the OP was cut short and the ED matched it. RyukoxSenketsu and GamagorixMako are pretty much official, and not to mention... kendo rape. That is all.

*knock on door*

"It is rather suspicious for someone to knock on the door at this time of night. Only in an emergency-"

"Excuse me, I'm a girl in junior high and I'm going through puberty-"

"IT'S AN EMERGENCY OPEN THE DOOR NOW!!!"

Soda sprayed out of my nose at that part. Dammit.

Look at my sig. If that's not the most adorable thing ever, then I don't know what is.

This should be how Go should be played: laying out the pieces to make a white bunny and a black bear duking it out. I f*cking love this anime.

ex7V8Pl.png

baaasssiiiccallllyyyy

Alright, so some Hulk-esque creature pops out of the sewers and attacks people, and the whiny b*tch that's paying Nice to do something (that I can't recall) is its mother. In other words, it was pretty eh, but I'm gonna keep watching it.

Wow. I never thought I'd be so touched by Utsutsu willingly offering himself as a meal to Yume after she developed an appetite for human flesh. I'm actually pretty satisfied with it because of that, and the episode length is starting to make more sense.

Kay, this went from magical badassary to boring school scene to awkward love triangle in a matter of EPISODES. Seriously, when's the fighting gonna start again?

I'm really only concerned with why Ayase hates the angels so much. Apparently her parents were murdered by them. That explains a lot. Anyway, Blue World, White World, Black World... a card holder on the verge of death but was saved by Blue World's technology... pretty much. Next time, I'll try to pay more attention to things.

It's so cute how the big sister gets jealous when her younger brother is around other girls. It's a short show, so there's not much else to say.

SioxJack. Nuff said.
I have yet to watch Nobunaga the Fool, though I might not bother with my opinion on it.

So I stupidly decided to actually give my thoughts on everything I've started this season.
Crying just because I feel so bad for Mashiro, who is only just so scared of aliens… well and every UMA… but I mean, she seems so terrified, and so little… I just… want to protect her! This is exactly what moe is! (for me)

I can feeeel the love comedy waaavves~
Just the cutest ever.

I just Dekomori and the new girl. Twintail magic. That is all.

Except, well, they don't explain Shinka's change and then revert back to normal, also not explaining that, which is dumb. And Yuuta and Rikka are pretty cute together.

I just this is hilarious. Even when the delinquents in the latest episode were being emotional and what have you. The way the members keep trying to incorporate their element and other things as well, man, I died. What a club (provisional). Just the right amount of drama too.

Crude humor, next!
No seriously, this thing is hilarious, I'd be down for more.

Well, it isn't drawn even decent most of the time, but I've still been greatly enjoying what's been put out. Thing is, it isn't just a love triangle, there is also that guy back at home that gets on my nerves. Quite strange for a magical girl show, but I guess it is because that is what the author said that I got even more interested in it.

Okay. Well, I think it is executing the purposefully forced to a ridiculous extent stuff well, at least, making me very entertained. Tough I must say, the faces are even better in the manga. Anime makes a real admirable effort, though. To me, Chitoge feels ridiculously cute no matter what she is doing, in both anime and manga. Though, I haven't been feeling much of the great super cuteness that is Onodera in the anime. Guess it seems like I'm liking the manga a lot more already, but I'm not even going to be reading volume 2 until March!

I'm sorry. I couldn't help with the manga comparisions since the manga's NA release and the anime started in the same month.

You know I'm messed up when I've been enjoying a yuri subtext show more than the actual thing, but there is just so many cute characters in this, dozens even! (...yeah I'm not caring about the mahjong)

I love it when they kiss!

I missed this when making my list. But man, this is the idol anime of the season and cares for old people.

I honestly do find the pace of the anime to be perfect. I might just check out the manga to see what people are talking about. They say you can read it at whatever pace you want, and the anime mostly drags itself out. That is what I've been hearing from other places. While I don't agree on the anime, because it is always so good, I do understand what they mean. I'm unsure how I'd feel if I actually went and checked the manga out, but well, I'm perfectly content with this.

Cute, charming, and for the average short anime/cute thing, its got one of the scenes I'll find most memorable. If it is meant to freak someone out, it may be a tiny bit creepy, but I guess younger people might actually find it scary. Like, really younger.

Well. I only care for the sickly girl and the girl with the sword ZX. They are what got me interested in the first place, and so far so good. I might actually be warming up to Asuka, but then again, I just really like his last name. The angel isn't so bad either.

I am still considering dropping this, but it has increased in its entertainment value with its own crude humor and nice little fanservice. Ironically enough it is those exact things that are making me more apprehensive about it.

Getting a bit too bad shounen cliche for me. Kind of wish they'd just get to the action that the premise kinda suggests, but I didn't really want that to happen either, I'm strange like that. I do like MC's relationship with his sisters, Ari in particular. Claire a bit too, before what was just revealed was just revealed. Now, I am really unsure on this whole thing.

I don't know what to say. It is cute, I guess? Not only is it anime shorts, but it's just 4 episodes. Aw.

I did say the latest episode was so far my favorite, but it has just been as boring as the rest. I'm going to most likely make my desicion by the next episode, but it doesn't look like I'll stay with it.

Just a -2 min per ep advert. Unfortunately it got me kind of interested in the manga. It's unfortunate how little shoujo actually gets adapted.

I already said I dropped this and gave my reasons, not sure why I'm making this spoiler.
Incidentally, although obvious to change, that is my current list of what I've enjoyed from most to least.

Incidentally, I should take off the Christmas thing from the OP, yes?

*Drooling but slaps self.* Sorry, I was a bit distracted by things.

At this point I've pretty much dropped Witch Craft Works, Nobunaga the Fool, Mahou Sensou, and with this recent episode I've decided to drop Hamatora. And even though it's from the last season I really might as well drop Tokyo Ravens too. So it seems that most of my anime viewing is going to be focused on Sundays but Magi appears to have been moved to Tuesdays which is gonna help.

Also, I might take up D-Frag since you guys seem to say it's really funny.

I did the same. They're all pretty meh.

I'm focusing on Kill la Kill, Engaged to the Unidentified, Tonari no Seki-kun, and Chuunibyo. Nobunagun is starting to bore me a bit. Strange+ and Onee-chan ga Kita are both enjoyable, but Pupa is just too short for what it is.

I'm pretty sure some people know this, but for me, I don't drop a lot of anime.

However, with the ones currently airing, I've decided to put the ones that don't interest me as much on hold, which I'm sure some, I'll never get around to.

So I may as well have dropped them, but my logic is I don't know which ones I won't finish because I definitely will go back and finish some of them.

And the one's still airing I currently have on hold are only Golden Time, Phi Brain S3 and Mahou Sensou. The latter being the least of my concern.

I can probably move up Z/X IGNITION, Pupipo is kinda wearing on me due to being that short, Seki-kun being a bit longer is fine. The second thing I've dropped is Sekai Seifuku. I find this season sure is better even if I dropped 1 or 2 more than I usually do.

I can't say much about what I'm following because I stopped following them to watch Love Hina. As I said elsewhere (another forum, if you're wondering), it is SO inferior to the manga in any aspect that they both share, and the animation is much too old for my liking, but I put up with it because I agree with Akamatsu in how perfect the VAs were, and now I hear their voices when I read the manga.

And I'm really starting to agree with the majority of opinions I've seen on White Album. I hate the MC, I've hated Yuki's manager from the near beginning though, and if
like Rina (and Mana-chan for trying to kiss, even if failing to do so, but it should be noted that I still don't really dislike them just yet, for whatever reason, it is so far just the two I've already mentioned outside the spoiler, I haven't finished the series yet)
kisses Touya(MC) and he doesn't resist, when he has a GIRLFRIEND, I may as well dislike them too. WA 2 was much better, and I'm pretty sure Haruki is a much better protagonist. I'm not entirely sure due to what went down, but I am pretty sure. I can't say it isn't an experience, though.

Weekly animu reactions are a pain to write, so guess I'll stop. As for my recent animu-related activities that aren't ongoing...Macross 7, watched a few episodes of that since I had nothing else to do due to having to stay home because of a bad case of migraine and stuff, and damn it's getting fun. Again, the original Macross is spades above this and Frontier, but I enjoyed Frontier, and so far I'm enjoying this. The badass songs make it even more fun.

Manga(Cuz you know, this place is sometimes manga, according to the topic), finished reading Wa!. It's too short for my liking, and although it was fun, the ends were tied up pretty loosely. Probably won't remember it after a while. That aside, Yandere Kanojo is amazing. For such a simple concept, the thing spawns one of the most endearing cast of characters I've ever read about. That aside, reading the D-Frag manga because of the anime, and goddamn it's glorious. Better than the anime even, after it gets going. Anime adaption is okay but cut out some stuff that was good(The entire 14 man orchestra arc was pretty badly butchered, for example). Still, both are fun, will continue. Sucks that the manga is monthly, so the waiting is a pain in the ass.

Love Hina

Good taste right there. Never bothered to watch the animu cuz I fear it will butcher the perfection of the manga(Although to be honest, my claim of Love Hina being perfection is out of nostalgia and a fondness for Akamatsu's stuff. I say that, but I should catch up with UQ Holder). If the VAs are good though, I guess I'll find time to torrent it sooner or later...

Let's see here... I'm not caught up with UQ Holder either, so I figure I'll spring for the physical release just like I've got the Love Hina Omnibuses and am continuing to get the Negima ones.

There are rare instances where when I actually do read the manga, I find the anime is better(Non Non Biyori easily comes to mind), but like I said, rare. If D-frag is definitely better as a manga, I'd have to think about increasing my chances of following it physically, I like to do that with what I really like, it ends up making it more likely I'll get to some of this great stuff, like the anime has been great for me.

Favorite Anime: Fate/Zero

Favorite Manga: Never read any :P

Favorite Character: Lelouch Lamperouge/Vi Brittania/Zero

Anything else worth mentioning?: Big fan of VNs, if that's applicable :)

Bro go join akatsuki as well, i mean its not like its totally the club that has animu discussion going on or anything.

Just acknowledge that Gaara can crush sonsabitches with a clench of a fist. That's pretty much all I cared about in the series.

Haven't taken the time to sort out which Spring 2014 anime I plan to watch, but I'm hoping I can find more enjoyment than this season. Which ones do y'all plan on watching?

That cute face.

Anyway, I joined both (or to be more precise, made one) just so I might have more to talk about but considering Desu got to posting after an app, before me, I might let him be the host again (or at least co-host like I mentioned once before but unsure if he said anything about it. Because you know, I'm not that active anymore, if I ever really was)

Also I feel like I may as well actually get rid of that makeshift holiday thing.

Also, @Barakiel21: Added. As for VNs, if a conversation can be held, by all means, but unfortunately I screwed up on Toradora Portable somehow and Planetarian was kinda same, somehow, and those were some of the much shorter ones, so I kind of lost interest, as I can't really deal with the longer ones.

Black Bullet
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou
Date A Live 2nd Season
Fairy Tail (2014)
Happiness Charge Precure
Isshuukan Friends.
Jojo
Love Live! School Idol Project 2nd Season
Mekaku City Actors

F*ck nah. Shikamaru was the only character worth acknowledging. Gaara is more of the type for an emo whiner to like.

Haven't taken the time to sort out which Spring 2014 anime I plan to watch, but I'm hoping I can find more enjoyment than this season.

I feel like I started out too harsh against this season. There's nothing that is simply amazing but at least it offered a surprisingly large amount of super solid anime.

Which ones do y'all plan on watching?

Atleier Eschy and Logy- Big fan of the Mana Khemia games (more so the first) so I'm pretty hyped.

Black Bullet

Blade and Soul-It looks like it'll be crap but I've been hyped for the game for so long now that I really might as well.

Break Blade- Heh? Isn't that pretty old? I thought I've heard good things. A reboot might be a good thing really.

Captain Earth-THAT IS A REALLY AWESOME MECH DESIGN

Hitsugi no Chaika-Sounds sorta cliche but I might as well.

Kenzen Robo Daimadeler-Might be sort of funny. I dunno. It'll likely be dropped pretty quickly.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei-I really like the sound of the magic system.

Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to-Sounds like it might be pretty funny.

No Game No Life

Selector Infected WIXOSS

Sidonia no Kishi

Soul Eater Not!

Also, there's going to be a Sinbad related Magi special that looks to be covering his younger years. Sweet.

That cute face.

It's got nothing on your cute fa-*shot.*

Anyway, Raine got me to start watching Nisekoi because this girl looked like such waifu material. He's beginning to realize I have a thing for blondes. But yeah, three episodes in so far and it's pretty solid. Still need to check out D-Frag sometime and Mako recently recommended some Battleship Yamato remake so that's on the list for things to check out.

Anyway, I joined both (or to be more precise, made one) just so I might have more to talk about but considering Desu got to posting after an app, before me, I might let him be the host again (or at least co-host like I mentioned once before but unsure if he said anything about it. Probably not a good idea to make me the host. Too lazy.

I tried playing one once. It was Katawa Shoujo. I stopped playing when I lost Risk against a deaf girl. Like hell I'd lose a game I've never played before. My beginner's luck is too strong for that sort of bs.

But that's all he ever wants from people (and to protect his friends, but we all know that's because his anime/manga is a shounen). :(

He can have his anime senpais acknowledge him. It's not my job.

Nope, not happening. If the anime our sigs are from is anything to go by.

Oh yeah, I should put that anime on the list too.

For me, too much really:

Black Bullet
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou

Fairy Tail (2014)
Happiness Charge Precure
Isshuukan Friends.
Jojo

Ha ha, I'm beating you. Wait, why does Fairy Tail even need a reboot?

Yeah, but I'm going to watch the whole things of all most of those (at least the Jojo that starts next season, not the WHOLE Jojo) and you'll probably drop more than me.

And I have no idea, but it'll be easier for me to follow than something already with almost 200 episodes, so I might as well watch it.

I really want to trim down my numbers here. So my list has changed since I posted in the thread. I watched Date A Live but season 2 is not one of them. I have been reading Akuma no Riddle but that's not one of them.

 • Black Bullet
 • Haiyuu!!
 • HappinessCharge Precure (it's a definite, still need to catch up with Precure, though)
 • Isshuukan Friends. (for obligatory 4koma adaption, and sounds really sweet)
 • JoJo
 • Love Live
 • Mekaku City Actors
 • No Game No Life
 • Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin
 • Seikoku no Dragonar (I well... the manga, and... idk)
 • Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V (this is more or less not that interested in, but wondering if I should just wait for the dub if I ever do check it out)

By that, I mean this is my trim to follow:

 • Haikyuu!!
 • Isshuukan Friends.
 • JoJo
 • Mekaku City Actors
 • Love Live
 • Seikoku no Dragonar

I very much plan to watch more than these, but following less will be much easier to manage.
