Hey everyone! Since I have waaay too much free time and really love Pokémon, I'm going to try and create every Pokémon in Yu-Gi-Oh form, and also to create a whole slew of Spell/Trap support. With the release of Gen VI's X and Y just a month and a half ago, I figured I should pay homage to my favorite series. I tried this project before, and unfortunately I got too busy to continue, and also I was terrible at PSCT then...but I'm coming to make a comeback! Of course, it's going to be a long journey, what with the 721 total Pokémon, not including Mega Evolutions, and I think it's high time that it gets done. Now then, with the introduction out of the way...

Before I get to the cards, I want to say outright that if anyone has any constructive criticism or comments, I'll be more than happy to take them into account. This is an evolving series, after all! (pardon the terrible pun) In any case, I'll be more than happy to implement any suggestions that work. Even now, I'm still learning when it comes to PSCT, so if there's any glaring issues, please point them out and I'll fix them as quickly as possible!

Monsters

I've sorted the "Pokémon" monsters by type. No, not by monster type, but by their in-game type (Bug, Dark, etc.) Listed below are all the types I have completed so far.

Dark-types are interesting, in the sense that they use heavy offenses and have relatively poor defenses, yet use a lot of moves that aren't particularly offensively inclined. Setting aside the obvious powerful Dark moves like Crunch, Night Slash, and Dark Pulse, there are a number of Dark-type moves that employ tricky strategies, such as Foul Play, Punishment, Taunt, and Switcheroo. I decided to employ this as a strategy here, making use of an opponent's actions to gain an advantage. As such, a player would have to tread carefully to properly deal with a team full of Dark-types. With that said, here's a list of all Dark-types seen thus far:
r4BhJoP.jpg

3 Level 8 "Pokemon" monsters

This card can be Xyz Summoned using 1 "Gyarados, the Atrocious Pokemon" you control as the Xyz Material. Once per turn: you can detach any number of Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon an equal number of WATER "Pokemon" monsters from your Graveyard. When this card leaves the field: destroy all cards on the field. You can only Xyz Summon 1 "Pokemon" monster per turn.

usRHVwY.jpg

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 1 "Eevee, the Evolution Pokemon" and 1 DARK monster on your field or from your hand to the Graveyard. When a DARK monster attacks or is attacked: you can target 1 Set card your opponent controls; return it to their hand. Your opponent cannot activate the target in response to this card's effect. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: you can Special Summon 1 DARK "Pokemon" monster from your hand.

fU12cdM.jpg

When a DARK "Pokemon" monster is destroyed by the effect of an opponent's Trap Card: you can pay 800 Life Points; Special Summon this card from your Graveyard in face-up Defense Position, and if you do, add 1 DARK "Pokemon" monster from your Deck to your hand. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a DARK monster.

2m1gV3q.jpg

When a DARK "Pokemon" monster you control is destroyed by a Spell or Trap Card: you can Special Summon this card from your hand.

tNOEzyD.jpg

Once per turn, when a "Pokemon" monster you control is destroyed by an opponent's monster's effect: you can discard this card from your hand; Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower DARK or FIRE "Pokemon" monster from your Graveyard (except for "Houndour, the Dark Pokemon"), and then inflict 500 damage to your opponent.

bQEZU4j.jpg

When your opponent's monster declares a direct attack: you can banish 3 DARK or FIRE "Pokemon" monsters from your Graveyard; Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, destroy all face-up Attack Position monsters your opponent controls. During the turn this card is Summoned: your opponent cannot Special Summon monsters.

1Tn6Ww1.jpg

2 Level 7 "Pokemon" monsters

This card can be Xyz Summoned using 1 "Houndoom, the Dark Pokemon" you control as the Xyz Material. During either player's turn, when a "Pokemon" monster you control is destroyed by an opponent's monster's effect: you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target that monster; banish it, and if you do, banish all cards with that name in its controller's hand and Deck. You can only Xyz Summon 1 "Pokemon" monster per turn.

SrcBEfU.jpg

Cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon or Set. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a "Pokemon" monster you control would be destroyed by battle or by a card effect: that monster is not destroyed by that battle or card effect. When this effect is activated: you can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; destroy that target, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that card's ATK.

ZfXR9QE.jpg

2 Level 10 "Pokemon" monsters

This card can be Xyz Summoned using 1 "Tyranitar, the Armor Pokemon" you control as the Xyz Material. When this card is Summoned: you can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls: destroy that target, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK. The activation of this effect cannot be negated. Once per turn, during either player's turn: you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this turn, each time your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card, immediately draw 1 card. You can only Xyz Summon 1 "Pokemon" monster per turn.

TAWoyao.jpg

When this card is Flip Summoned: return this card to your hand, then Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower DARK "Pokemon" monster from your hand. Its effects are negated.

sta3nPr.jpg

Control of this face-up card cannot switch. When this card is discarded by a card effect: destroy 2 face-up cards on the field. If this effect was discarded by an opponent's card effect, the activation of this effect cannot be negated. You must control no "Pokemon" monsters to activate and resolve this effect. You can only activate this effect of "Mightyena, the Bite Pokemon" once per turn.

3m1iQkf.jpg

When you take Battle or Effect Damage: you can Special Summon this card from your hand in face-up Attack Position. Any Battle Damage you would take in battles involving Plant-Type "Pokemon" monsters you control is inflicted to your opponent instead. When this card is destroyed by battle: you can Special Summon 1 Plant-Type "Pokemon" monster from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position, except "Nuzleaf, the Wily Pokemon."

2CS8eDd.jpg

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 1 "Nuzleaf, the Wily Pokemon" and 1 "Leaf Stone" from your hand or field to the Graveyard. This card cannot be targeted by Spell or Trap Cards. During either player's turn, when you would take Battle Damage or Effect Damage: you can banish 1 "Pokemon" monster from your Graveyard and send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard; your opponent takes the damage instead.

g1TgaTw.jpg

This card cannot be destroyed by battle. When this card attacks or is attacked, after damage calculation: add 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand. You can discard 2 cards and Tribute this card; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower DARK "Pokemon" monsters from your Graveyard, except "Sableye, the Darkness Pokemon". Their effects are negated. You can only use 1 "Sableye, the Darkness Pokemon" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

AgkSlRJ.jpg

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) when a WATER "Pokemon" monster is destroyed by a card effect. When this card destroys a monster by battle: inflict 600 damage to your opponent. If your opponent controls 2 or more face-up Spell or Trap Cards: this card can attack your opponent directly.

wnzudzF.jpg

When a Level 4 or lower WATER or DARK "Pokemon" monster is destroyed by a card effect: you can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, destroy all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls. While you control no other monsters: this card can attack twice per Battle Phase this turn, but if you do, this card switches to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

OjGgyP1.jpg

Once per turn, when this card is selected as an attack target: negate the attack and destroy the attacking monster. During your opponent's Battle Phase: you can discard 1 Plant-Type "Pokemon" monster from your hand; destroy 1 monster your opponent controls.

51jjwJk.jpg

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by destroying all "Pokemon" monsters you control (min. 1). This card gains 800 ATK for each monster destroyed in this way. When this card attacks or is attacked: you can banish 1 "Pokemon" monster from your Graveyard: double this card's ATK until the end of the Battle Phase. You can only activate this effect of "Crawdaunt, the Rogue Pokemon" once per turn.

QApuBxz.jpg

If there are 5 or more DARK "Pokemon" monsters in your Graveyard: you can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, this card gains 500 ATK for each DARK "Pokemon" monster currently in your Graveyard. If this card would be destroyed: you can banish 1 DARK "Pokemon" monster from your Graveyard instead. When this card is destroyed by a card effect: destroy all monsters on the field.

ezQRvnO.jpg

2 Level 8 DARK "Pokemon" monsters

This card can be Xyz Summoned using 1 "Absol, the Disaster Pokemon" you control as the Xyz Material. While this card has Xyz Material: this card cannot be targeted by card effects. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the activation of an opponent's Spell, Trap, or monster's effect, and if you do, double this card's original ATK until your next End Phase, also destroy that card. You can only Xyz Summon 1 "Pokemon" monster per turn.

DgL1kuy.jpg

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 1 "Murkrow, the Darkness Pokemon" and 1 "Dusk Stone" from your hand or field to the Graveyard. When this card is Summoned: you can Special Summon any number of Level 4 or lower DARK "Pokemon" monsters from your Graveyard, but their effects are negated, and they are destroyed at the End Phase. While you control other DARK "Pokemon" monsters: this card cannot be selected as the target of a card's effect.

Yxm75O7.jpg

While you control this face-up card: your opponent cannot target "Pokemon" monsters you control for attacks, unless the attacking monster has no Toxic Counters. When this card leaves the field, target 1 monster with Toxic Counters on it: place 1 Toxic Counter on it. A monster with a Toxic Counter loses 300 ATK and DEF for each one and cannot activate its effects. A monster whose ATK and DEF are lowered to 0 due to the effect of a Toxic Counter is destroyed.

nHPU1Tl.jpg

When this card would be destroyed by battle or by a card effect: place 1 Toxic Counter on an opponent's monster instead. If there are no monsters on your opponent's side of the field: destroy this card. A monster with a Toxic Counter loses 300 ATK and DEF for each one and cannot activate its effects. A monster whose ATK and DEF are lowered to 0 due to the effect of a Toxic Counter is destroyed.

KLhBdiR.jpg

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by banishing all DARK monsters on your field and in your Graveyard. While you control this face-up card: you do not need to use a Ritual Spell Card to Ritual Summon a Ritual Monster (the appropriate number of Tributes must still be made). During each of your End Phases: banish 1 DARK "Pokemon" monster from your Graveyard (if any). When this card is destroyed: you can return all banished DARK monsters to their respective owners' Decks, then draw 2 cards.

j2F4zci.jpg

When a monster would be destroyed by a Toxic Counter's effect: banish it instead of sending it to the Graveyard. When a monster you control is destroyed by battle or by card effect: you can place 2 Toxic Counters on two monsters your opponent controls. Once per turn, if your opponent controls a monster with Toxic Counters: they take 600 damage for each monster they control with Toxic Counters. A monster with a Toxic Counter loses 300 ATK and DEF for each one and cannot activate its effects. A monster whose ATK and DEF are lowered to 0 due to the effect of a Toxic Counter is destroyed.

4JGuXuX.jpg

This card can only be Synchro Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. While this card is on the field: monsters cannot be Flip Summoned. Once per turn: you can target 1 face-down monster your opponent controls; destroy it, and if you do, this card gains 300 ATK.

8I2qu1o.jpg

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) when all "Pokemon" monsters you control are destroyed by a card effect (simultaneously). If you do: all monsters your opponent controls lose 1000 ATK. Once per turn: you can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When this card is Flip Summoned: target 1 monster you control and up to 2 monsters your opponent controls; destroy both targets.

F3Nj4XG.jpg

When this card is Summoned (except by this card's own effect): reveal the bottom card of your Deck. If it is a Level 4 or lower monster: Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position and send this card to the Graveyard. Otherwise: place that card at the bottom of the Deck. When the Special Summoned monster is destroyed: Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.

cgnubRT.jpg

When this card is Summoned: you can banish the top card of your Deck face-down. Once per turn: this card cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card's effects. When this card is targeted by a card effect: you can reveal 1 of your face-down banished cards; if that card is a "Pokemon" monster, negate the activation of that card and destroy it, then place the banished card at the top of your Deck.

zbwdwa3.jpg

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:

12-15-13: Uploaded the Electric-types! I hope you enjoy them!

12-19-13: Mareep's effect changed

>>> The Special Summon effect only Special Summons from the hand, NOT the hand or Graveyard.

1-10-14: Helioptile and Dedenne's card art has been swapped out for the official card art.
Electric-types bring but one thing to mind in the game to me: paralysis. Probably the most annoying status affliction besides sleep, despite the fact that paralysis is only supposed to render you incapable of moving 25% of the time, it seems to happen all the time. The focus around these Electric-types, thus, is around preventing your opponent from acting as much as they could, either by removing the ability to conduct certain turn phases, or preventing them from attacking, or even keeping them from Summoning. Like so, Electric-types are very annoying to deal with. With that said, here's a list of all Electric-type Pokémon seen thus far:
NppUtxM.jpg

When you Normal Summon a Level 4 or lower "Pokemon" monster: you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card was Special Summoned in this way: this card gains 500 ATK and DEF until the End Phase.

y0i2jwI.jpg

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned by sending 1 "Pikachu, the Mouse Pokemon" and 1 "Thunderstone" from your hand or field to the Graveyard. You can discard 1 Thunder-Type "Pokemon" monster from your hand; your opponent cannot conduct their Battle Phase next turn. This card cannot attack your opponent directly.

WDLgXJ0.jpg

If you control a "Pokemon" Synchro Monster: you can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, your opponent cannot Synchro Summon during their next turn.

Os4Y5rw.jpg

"Magnemite, the Magnet Pokemon" + 2 Machine-Type monsters

Must first be Summoned by Fusion Summon. Once per turn: you can target 1 Tuner Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target, and if you do, you can add 1 Level 4 or lower LIGHT "Pokemon" monster from your Deck to your hand. When this card is destroyed by an opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and is sent to the Graveyard: it becomes the End Phase of the current turn.

HzUed6L.jpg

FLIP: Destroy one card on the field, then it becomes the End Phase of the current turn.

B82sL5y.jpg

FLIP: Destroy 2 cards on both players' fields, then it becomes the End Phase of the current turn.

IVhhJZw.jpg

You can discard 1 "Pokemon" monster; Special Summon this card from your hand. While you control this card: your opponent skips their Standby Phase. When this card is sent from your field to the Graveyard: you can Special Summon 1 Thunder-Type "Pokemon" monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck. This card gains 300 ATK for each Thunder-Type "Pokemon" monster in your Graveyard.

vBtNFMb.jpg

What better way to kick off my creations than with the newly announced Fairy-Type? I figured that since the Fairy-Type Pokémon in the game were not so much focused on pure power but on both supporting teammates and hindering the opponent with stat reductions, similar traits could be used with these monsters. As such, many of them focus on reducing the opponents' monsters' ATK and DEF and minimizing the amount of damage taken, while they themselves don't have that much ATK or DEF to defend with. With that said, here's a list of all Fairy-Type Pokémon seen thus far:

Grass-types are my personal favorite type for reasons I don't really understand or can reasonably explain...but in any case, the theme shouldn't be hard to spot here. While Grass-types are generally considered weak for having generally weak battle capabilities, since they are weak to 5 different types and 7 types resist them, not to mention that Pokémon that are weak to Grass can still fight back. Despite that, Grass-types can be pretty tricky and resilient, especially with all the status inflicting moves and general irritations. I reflected these traits in the Grass-types with generally low stats, but, since many of them are Plants, I granted them the ability to use the Graveyard as a spawning ground to come back and keep irritating. With that said, here's a list of all the Grass-Type Pokémon seen thus far:

Fighting-types use a  peculiar strategy that actually took me a lot of time to think of, and to be honest I'm really going on a limb with this. For the most part, the Fighting-types are separated into two categories: the high-leveled ones and the low-leveled ones. While the low-level Fighting-types are very much susceptible to destruction via the effects of your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards, the purpose of the high-level Fighting-types is to protect the lower-level ones. This sort of supports the idea of Fighting-types as warriors, valiant and strong, protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Of course, the are also a few cards that gain a little advantage if you happen to destroy them. It's all a matter of strategy and timing! With that said, here's a list of all the Fighting-Type Pokémon seen thus far:

Oh, Ice-types. One of the most offensive and one of the worst defensive types, Ice-types have always come off as...well, really cold. I wasn't sure how to make Ice-types a very heavy hitting Deck with incredible fragility without making them too much of a mirror to Fighting-types, so I took a different angle at it; I paid homage to the rarely-seen FREEZE status, which can either by negligible or incredibly infuriating. As such, the Ice-types work similarly to Electric-types, except this Deck focuses almost entirely on nullifying monster effects. With that said, here's a list of all Ice-types seen thus far:

I hope you enjoy them!
Normal-type Pokémon have been known for their versatility...in both good and bad ways. They generally learn a whole plethora of viable moves, but at the same time, a lot of them are...well, not very good, statistically speaking. Normal-types are often encountered very early in the game, and most of them really don't become much more than the butt of everyone's jokes. However, there are a few Normal-types that are good, solid Pokémon, including Kangaskhan, Blissey, and Porygon-Z. Because of this major diversity, there really is no singular way to make Normal-types their own special archetype...so I made them more or less generic monsters. With that said, here's a list of all Normal-types seen thus far:

Steel-types, cold, hollow, and with loads of defense. Beating a Steel-type is no easy feat, And really, there are way too many resistances to exploit with Steel-types, which makes them even more difficult to counter. I translated that cold, calculating figure of these Steel-types in two ways: the impenetrable defenses and the mechanical motifs. Among the Pokémon types, Steel-types have the most Tuner monsters. Furthermore, many of them have effects that either prevent them from being destroyed by battle and/or by card effects, along with some cards that use that immunity to their advantage. With that said, here's a list of all Steel-types seen thus far:

Thanks so much! I'm glad you like them!

I must pose a serious question to those frequenting the thread; originally, I intended to make each Pokémon type have its own individual thread, but then I realized that it would be easier on the forum to compile every Pokémon card I make into one thread, while hindering navigation a bit since it has to load every single card, and 700 cards is...well, a lot. That said, I don't want to clog the first page with 18 different threads...so, any advice? Should I keep the threads formatted as they are, or should I compile them all into one thread and just keep updating that one?

Edited the format! Now everything will be in a single thread!

I've also edited the "one" and "1" mistake I made on a number of cards. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Finally, I've added polls at the top in case anyone wants to make an input without typing up a full-blown criticism. Your opinions matter to me! ^_^

Three things:

1. Dark-types have been added! Sorry that it got delayed for so long...hopefully they were worth the wait!

2. Next on my agenda will be Electric-types, as the previous poll updated with a tie between Dark and Electric, albeit while I was in the middle of making the Dark-types. So Electric-types will be next, and was thus removed from the poll.

3. On that note, the poll has been updated with new choices for what type is to come next.

Being a personal lover of Generation III, I'll take a look at the Generation III Dark-Type monsters.

I think Poochyena's effect should limit the level of the Dark monster that can be special summoned, so as to not allow like a Lv. 8 special summon.

For Shiftry, I think the fact that it can't be affected by Spell & Trap cards is a bit overpowered. For one, it has a high ATK and DEF, which means any opposing battle force would have to be either 2100+ at the minimum or 3000+ at the minimum, if it were to be attacked in DEF position or ATK position, respectfully. Also, I don't see a lot of monster card effect that directly destroy other monsters, so that would be a pain.

I'm not a big fan of the actual Pokemon Sableye, but I won't let that take away from a card with it on it. :P I actually do like this card, minus the two Lv. 6 and below part. I think it should be 1 Lv. 5 / 6 (with effects negated) or 2 Lv. 4 (with their effects negated) or below monsters. Two Level 6 could spell doom easily.

Carvanha is the pre-evolution to a particular favorite of mine, Sharpedo- just saying. Anyways, for the card- I think 1800 ATK is a tad much for something that can directly attack your opponent. I think 1400 would be better, especially for a Lv. 4 monster- but that's just my opinion. Otherwise, I like this card.

Here we go, a particular favorite Pokemon of mine- Sharpedo. I don't know why, but I've always liked Sharpedo. For the card- the first line of the effect is the same as Carvanha's, with the only differential being the fact that Sharpedo's is Lv. 4 or lower, whereas Carvanha's is any level. The fact that it can twice WITH other monsters ON your side of the field is overpowered, even if Sharpedo must turn to DEF position at the end of the phase. Why I say this- if another monster on the field has an effect that states that your opponent must target that specific monster- assuming they have a monster to attack with- that means Sharpedo dodges a bullet and returns to attack next turn. Also, 1000 damage for destroying it? You can leave that, but I'd halve it to 500.

Cacturne's effect is really useful if your opponent only has one monster to work with. I like this card, although it could be abused if your opponent worked hard to get a high-leveled monster on the field all for it just to be destroyted because you discarded one card. I would think about boosting the requirements for a "discard then destroy" effect.

Crawdaunt has always been a pain for me to face in battles, which is why I don't like them- however, I do like this card. I believe though it should be 3/4 monster cards, rather than a clear-field scenario. Although it is difficult to fill a 5-slot field with monsters, it is possible, especially if card effect allow for it. This could figuratively allow for a 4000 ATK scenario, which could lead to a 8000 ATK situation on your offense and potentially blow your opponent away. So, I would limit it to maybe 3/4. I do like the fact that it's only for one phase. Good card here.

The only thing I have to say for Absol is rather than clearing the entire field of everything, how about just clearing the field of all Trap / Spell cards? I think the ability to also destroy monsters is a bit overpowered. Good concept, though.

I absolutely love Mega Absol. Good effect, and perfectly balanced- although it could be destroyed by battle easier because of the low-even 1500 ATK/DEF stats.

Overall, I really like the Generation III Dark-type Pokemon. I'll come back every now and then and review other generations, along with other types rather than just Dark-types.

Keep it up!

Oooh, long post! Thanks for the advice and comments, I really do need these sorts of things so that I can get better at this as I proceed with the cards. So, likewise, I'll tackle the criticisms and see what I can do about them...

Poochyena: This is a rather high-risk, high return type of card...perhaps some "Level 4 or lower" clause would do some justice.

Shiftry: "Cannot be targeted" is what it reads on the card, so it's still hit by things like Dark Hole, Mirror Force, and the like. That and it can just as easily be destroyed by monster's effects...but perhaps the 2900 ATK is a bit overdoing it. Perhaps 2600 ATK would be a bit more accommodating, so it hits just below the 2800 ATK benchmark?

Sableye: Eek, what was I thinking? 2 Level 4 monsters it is, then. Eeep.

Carvanha: The whole point of me giving it such high ATK is to force the opponent to play smart, by the standard strategy of Darks. The deck is meant to play exploiting any disadvantage to their own benefit. That said, I'm starting to see that Carvanha's effect not so much exploits a disadvantage, but a major advantage. I'm thinking that I should replace that effect by an attack directly affect that only works when the opponent has Spell/Traps to exploit, or something of that sense.

Sharpedo: Sharpedo's a pretty cool Pokémon. Unfortunately I made the same mistake here as I did with Carvanha. I'll switch the attack twice clause to a situation when you control no other monsters. I'm debating whether or not to make it much harder to Special Summon, though I may go with a number of Level 4 or lower WATER or DARK monsters instead of any number.

Cacturne: To be honest I'm not sure how else to make it more tame without making it totally useless. Being Level 7 with no Special Summon condition is bad enough, and well, requiring 1 Plant-Type "Pokémon" to discard seems pretty fair. I could get rid of the first effect, but I feel that would be really hindering its usage.

Crawdaunt: Ahhh I forgot to put the "You can only activate this effect of "Crawdaunt, the Rogue Pokémon" once per turn" clause in there. Travesty!

Absol: Perhaps, but I feel like losing all Spell/Traps wouldn't be much of a disaster. I'll make the banish effect mandatory and the destruction effect hit monsters only, perhaps.

Mega Absol: Yaaaay I like this one too. ^_^

I'll update and try to get everything fixed by tomorrow. My computer has not been wanting to cooperate with me as of late.

Alright so I'm back today. I'm gonna look at the Generation II Dark-Types.

For Umbreon, I like the entire effect; it's balanced. Personally, I would just directly add another Eevee rather than Dark-Type monster to your hand, but that's a preference of mine.

Sneasel seems like it has an effect going for it, but I just don't think its enough. By special summoning Sneasel then erasing the effects of the Spell/Trap card for no cost...I think that's a bit overpowered. I think there should be some Life Points that also have to be paid along with it.

Houndoom is another that seems like it has an effect going for it, but rather I think its a bit much. A banishment of three monsters- more specifically JUST Dark- and Fire-Types- seems a bit much (unless you're running a deck filled with them). I think it should be lowered, but yet again, that's a personal preference of mine.

Mega Houndoom's summoning requirements aren't quite clear. Whereas one part says something about 2 Lv. 7 "Pokemon," the opening effect says something about Houndoom. Are you saying Houndoom has to be one or not? Also, the rest of the effect for Mega Houndoom can be extremely overpowered, considering you can chain-link a large strand of cards and get rid of them for the banishment of just one of yours.

I really do appreciate this help, it's been really nice criticism overall.

I took a look at Sneasel's effect and I realize that my original intention was to make it a card you could Special Summon after the monster was destroyed by a Spell or Trap Card, but I guess as I was typing it I completely lost sight of the intention and made it a negator. Oooops.

Houndoom was made like that because I wanted to balance it out a bit, and to highlight the negative situation theme that Dark-types have going on, and along with that, it acts as a free Mirror Force and Vanity's Emptiness in one for the turn, so I figured that 3 DARK/FIRE monsters would be enough and fair.

Mega Houndoom's summoning requirements are the same as any other Mega; you can either Summon it using the normal conditions OR in a Gaia Dragon-like manner and just Xyz Summon it on top of just Houndoom. In such a case, you lose a valuable Material, but have easier access to a stronger monster. As far as the effect, I'm not sure how you could chain link cards for more banishment...it's more of a retaliatory effect that keeps your opponent's monster's effects at bay at the risk of losing that monster and all copies of it. With that said, that is pretty broken, but I feel like no one would willingly walk into such an obvious retaliation...that and Mega Houndoom would only be able to do it once, and if it happened to itself, there really isn't much it can do. XP

EDIT: I need help finding an image for Heliolisk...it's the last Electric-type I need to do before I post the Electric-type set, but I haven't been able to locate a halfway decent fan image of Heliolisk. It normally wouldn't be a problem since I get most of the images from the Pokémon TCG, but, since Heliolisk doesn't have one yet, I could use some help.

After much work, the Electric-types have been added! With that, I'm going to wait a little bit to see if the poll can get more responses. Right now, as it stands, Fighting-types will be next, but I want to sit on the decision a little bit more.

Secondly, I want to thank everyone for how popular it seems to have become. Over 500 views is no mean feat...I guess? I dunno, actually. But to think that it's received that many views...honestly, I didn't expect much to come of it when I first made the thread, but the nice criticisms and feedback has helped me keep going. So a big shoutout to all of you who frequent the thread! I really appreciate it!

I'm happy to see you're continuing with this set. I also love the fact you have branched out to the Electric-types, which I'll look at today- more specifically, Generation III (because it's the best generation from my viewpoint [just kidding it's just my favorite]).

To kick off the Generation III Electric-types, you made a nice Electrike. It's a simple effect, although I would lower its ATK to 1000.

The evolution of Electrike is Manectric. And just as Electrike evolves, so do the effects of this Yu-Gi-Oh! card- in a good way. My only concern here would to be switching skipping the Draw Phase and the Battle Phase. Seeing as the Battle Phase is where they would be able to conduct the most damage, I would put it last over th Draw Phase.

Mega Manectric is very well done. The effect is perfectly balanced and the ATK and the DEF of the card are just right. This is probably the best card I've reviewed so far in this set.

Plusle and Minun are like siblings in the history of Pokemon, just as Aggron and Rhyperior are cousins. Just as in Pokemon, their being near each other at the same time always leads to something happening. My concern with Plusle is the 800 ATK gain, but that's a minor issue (although I can see what you're going for by trying to mirror the ATK/DEF of Plusle and Minun) and the same would be with Minun, but just for DEF. (Personally I think 500 ATK/DEF is enough but I like how you're trying to go with a mirroring of their stats).

Seeing as I'll probably be reviewing this on a regular basis, I will be keeping track of what I've reviewed and when.

Nice cards! The only real problem that I have is that due to the wording of Yveltal's effect, it destroys itself when synchro summoned.

I did that on purpose. It's kinda like Black Rose Dragon in a sense, but in that it's harder to Summon, the destruction is forced, and has the potential to come back if it destroys enough cards (7 or more). XP

Well, in other news, I've started the Fighting-types, since it seems to have overwhelming support for it (4-1-1...you guys really want to see dat Lucario or Infernape or whatever). They should be up hopefully at the end of the week, at earliest. Because, you know...life gets in the way of things most of the time.

I've been busy with some things, so sorry that I wasn't able to make it around yesterday. I'll take a gander at those Generation II Electric-types you got there!

To kick things off, we have the nice dual-type (a contradicting-type) Chinchou. Just like the real Chinchou, this card's effects can be on occassion annoying to the opponent! I think having to skip both Standby Phases is a little much for just being on the field. In addition, forcing another Battle Phase gone + your free summon of a "Pokemon" just seems like a bit much. If there are no other monsters on your opponent's side of the field (and assuming they don't have a card that can destroy Chinchou) that's a free direct attack every turn. I think it's just a bit too much; something has to give here.

Lanturn seems pretty balanced. In it's pre-evolution it had the same effect: Special Summon a monster + your opponent's skipping of their next Battle Phase. I like that this stays consistent.

Pichu's effect seems real nice, although the 400 damage can get annoying (but it adds flavor to this card). Nice card here.

Mareep is the first card I've reviewed as of this far that utilizes tokens. In my cardmaking days of gold, I utilized tokens a lot, although usually not like this. I like the effect that goes along with this, so nice card overall.

Flaaffy is pushing the boundaries here. Again, I like consistency- but 3 tokens with 2000 DEF is a bit rediculous. Maybe a pair of them, but three seems a bit much. I can see you're matching the DEF of the Mareep evolutions, but try to keep the token count reasonable; after all, a standard Lv. 5 summon does at least require 1 Tribute on behelf of your opponent (unless they were to Special Summon one), which takes at least 2 turns to build.

Ampharos is one of my starter Pokemon in any Johto- or Kanto-based games. I love him, but unfortunately I don't feel the same for this card. Overall, there is just way too much possibility for a monster overhaul on your side of the field. You get the dual-threat (ATK/DEF) 2800 Ampharos, plus the possibility of 3 Lv. 4 or lower "Pokemon" and 3 Lv. 5 OR HIGHER "Pokemon" monsters. Assuming your "Wool Token #1"s are destroyed, that's still a possibility of four Lv. 5 OR HIGHER monsters all in one turn. Regardless of the skipping directly to the End Phase portion of this card, this overall effect just screams overpowered. If you go back to Flaaffy and lower it to 2 Tokens it will reduce the overpoweredness of this card, but not by much. Perhaps I would add in something like this: "As long as you control at least 2 monsters: This card cannot attack." Something has to be done, though.

Finally, we have the ending 'evolution' of this series- Mega Ampharos. I like the fact that it stays consistent with the pre-evolutions of Ampharos in that they can only draw a card during the Draw Phase, but I think adding a LIGHT monster of apparently any level onto the field is too much. Perhaps a restriction on this?

Unlike the real Elekid, this card is actually cute. It's relatable to Pichu, and I love the ending effect of it. Nice card, especially seeing as it could receive an ATK boost from a Spell Card, therefore having the possibility of inflicting battle damage (therefore taking away a pending Normal Summon from your opponent next turn); it could also be used as a Tribute for a Tribute Summon. So overall, versatile and useful.

I like the theme with Raikou. Seems overall balanced.

After much delay and shenaniganry, I finally managed to get the Fighting-types up! It was...hard, to say in the least, to think of an innovative strategy for them to use.

Anyways, I'm going to be out of town on the 25th and 26th, so don't expect me to see your feedback until I get back...HOWEVER, I have a little surprise planned for those of you who celebrate Christmas, and I'll post it before I leave. Thanks again for patiently waiting for the Fighting-types!

EDIT (12-25-13) - SURPRISE! I've added Ice-types! Consider it my holiday present to my supporters. Look for the Delibird; it's clearly the most broken card I've ever made![/sarcasm]

 • 2 weeks later...

I love how this set is coming along!  I feel like the Steel types are very hard to remove from the field, especially those with higher stats like Aegislash and Genesect. Might be a problem for decks that focus on effects for removal, but overall great work! Can't wait to see the Grass types!

Thanks! I appreciate the ideas, and I'll take them into consideration.

While that's going on, I do have to say that I'll have to delay the release of Grass-types this time around. Not only am I busy with real-life obligations, I've also been experiencing technical difficulties with my computer, along with a feeling that the cards that I have for the Grass-types are subpar. As such, they probably won't be out until this weekend. So sorry! @w@
