Gauntlet Warrior - My first card!

The effect is pretty... meh. You're letting it gain a small ATK gain for killing something in battle, however, the problem with this is that this card has 1400 ATK to start with. It can't run over very much on its lonesome, and would need to do this twice before it reaches a respectable 2k ATK. Koa'ki Meiru Bergzak is Warrior-Type 2k beater with the ability to attack twice (provided its first attack kills a monster), though it does have a negligible need to reveal Warriors in your hand (or ditch an Iron Core, which you really shouldn't be aiming to do) or else it'll blow up.

Then, you have the issue of this monster being self-serving; its effect is best used with this card existing on the field for several turns and gaining moderately high ATK. The fast pace of duels and the abundance of methods of removing this card makes it very hard for you to actually have this out for more than a turn or two. Even then, it's 99.99999999999999999999999999999% better to run something else that makes it easier to Summon the boss monsters from your Extra Deck, and this card doesn't do anything to help you do that. Therefore, D.D. Warrior Lady and her effect to banish anything she battles with in a pinch is better than this. Sure, she's just a tiny bit more likely to kill anything in battle, but her effect makes up for it.

This kind of effect just doesn't have much use when there are a plethora of combos out there that end up in a better field than this + whatever backrow that you can throw out with a snap of your fingers. This card would only be swept up by the tide and tossed out, because there just aren't going to be enough Battle Phases for this to gain a good ATK, and this card isn't going to even be there for all of them. The idea is just a flop. In case you want to try again, you should really take a closer look at modern Yu-Gi-Oh and see how it functions as opposed to a decade ago.

Pretty much what Mugen and 1-Star mentioned thus far, it's a 1400 ATK monster that only has an effect that gains points if/only if it destroys a monster.

As you probably know by now (if not, go look at recent cards), this card's points are quite low for a Level 4 nowadays. Unless you destroy very weak monsters or pump this card's ATK to a decent level, the effect won't activate much (not mentioning the fact that any form of removal effect will end it). I would suggest raising its ATK to around 1700-1800 (it'll have a better chance of getting that effect off), but as I mentioned in the parentheses last sentence, it'll still be weak to cards that get rid of it from field.

This isn't like a decade ago in the old days where point gain was everything; effects that offer some degree of protection (can't be killed in battle, immunity to certain types of effects) or give its user some field advantage are preferred nowadays. Perhaps give this card an effect like that (or for lack of better words, be unique. If you have to take ideas from existing cards, then do it; but don't just copy+paste its effect word-for-word)

You can keep making cards, but just keep in mind this isn't like the old days of the original series where power was everything.

Otherwise, you can use the AoC forum to train up until you're ready to take on this section.
