Aerjeroy Posted December 19, 2013 Report Share Posted December 19, 2013 This card was originally going to come with the set I'm creating "Plight for the Virtuous" but that really isn't necessary as it can easily be a stand alone card. The idea revolves around a monster being trapped inside the very large hand mirror while being manipulated by it to feel jealous towards the other monsters being tributed for while it's stuck unable to do anything on the sidelines. The monster would then use the mirror itself as a beacon for the monster's summoning. This card cannot be targeted by card effects. Set 1 monster that requires 1 or more tribute(s) face down underneath of this card. For each monster tribute, synchro, or Xyz summoned, place 1 "envy counter" on this card. You can remove 2 "envy counters" from this card for every monster normally required to summon your monster. Then summon it and increase it's attack and defense (x200) for each counter used to summon it. Then destroy this card. This is treated as a special summon. Ludisir Posted December 19, 2013 Report Share Posted December 19, 2013 I feel this card is a little too slow to be of great use, but I suppose in decks that xyz or synchro summon multiple times per turn it could make some use of it. Otherwise I think this card is just a little too risky since the card could be destroyed and so would the monster (which is arguably not a bad thing, since how many decks are there that can't special summon from the grave nowadays?) Not to mention there are a dozen other ways to get large monsters out in most decks, give or take a few that have special summoning requirements. Oh and the effect works for any tributes made on the field, not just yours. Now about that continuous thing I'm not sure what happened cause I saved it as continuous. There is one piece of important text missing from that card that determines whether the card is acceptable or very strong. And that is; where does the monster come from? Either way I rewrote the text in exactly as it is on the card. I appreciate the OCG fixes sure to come. Now the card is supposed to come from the hand. I'll make sure to mention that after the fixes. newhat Posted December 20, 2013 Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 You lose two cards if it gets blown up, but that's not likely to happen. You los. Don't know how useful it is since it would be pretty hard to stack two counters in one turn and still have something to play.
