121092
Here it the mat/field map for my new game 'Prophecy'. After looking at it when it was done, I realized that it was dangerously close to the yugioh mats. My roommate suggested that I tweak it so that the cards are going vertically so you and your opponent play side-by-side instead of across from each other. Idk, but I'd like to hear your guys' thoughts about it. Do you like this format? Or should it be changed? I'm filing for a patent now, so any suggestions or discussion is highly appreciated. I'm building the website for this game and sending it to TBC games in New York for editing and publishing. Any questions? Check out my signature. Thanks! :)
вєgσттєη ιηѕαηιту
I like the field the way it is to be honest. Most card games have a field layout similar to Yugioh, because it works. I wouldn't try straying too far from it unless your game is entirely unique. Before finalizing on your design I'd look into games like Chaotic, Pokemon, and even Zatch Bell, who all had very unique designs for their card games, which may give you ideas. 121092
It's funny because the company I'm going through made a few of those games ^^ and thank you! That is absolutely right, why not stick with the status quo eh?
