Personal Information:

Name: Roy McQueen

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Date of Birth: July 22nd
2uh4ggp.png

Roy stands at a good height of 5'11", but tells everyone that he is 6'00". When not in Academy 9's uniform, he tends to wear skin tight, breathable sports wear. Roy is not overly muscular, nor is he undermuscled. He has a lean, toned frame, a result of his countless hours in combat training. He weighs in at 187 lbs, most of which is muscle.  His eyes are a jungle green, dark in color and are sometimes mistaken as black if the light hits them right.. His hair is golden blonde and usually gelled up into the hairdo you see above. Around his neck is a necklace made of leather cords, wrapped around a tooth. He never takes the necklace off.

Roy is driven by one thing. Sex. Constantly seeking female companionship, Roy is endlessly flirting and scoring with various women. His 'bag it, and tag it' tendencies has earned him a lot of one night stands and also a lot of enemies. After learning that Roy is into nothing but meaningless sex, they often end up hating the guy that was able to talk his way into their pants. Despite his reputation for being a womanizer, his good looks and charm captivate the women of the Academy and as such he often has gaggles of girls to pick from when he feels in the mood.

In respects to academics, Roy is actually quite smart. His initial aptitude tests are incredibly high, impressive even by Alfar standards. However, his test scores throughout Academy training would state otherwise. Not seeing the need to perform at his best under institutionalized learning, Roy doesn't take the academic side of the Academy seriously. This, coupled with his difficult in grasping their more complex maths and sciences that have to do with space and the like, his record would reveal him to be less than remarkable. That being said, in the application of it all, Roy excels. Proving to be one of the Academy's best fighter pilots and hand-to-hand specialists, he is often placed in classes with Alfar students so as to level the playing field.

Roy would be classified as an Alpha Male, and as such he doesn't do well with people of authority. This often leads him to conflict with superior officers and just in general with people that excel in something he has trouble with. It is for this reason that he has such a problem with Lonn Alfadir. The boy's appointment to admiral, based almost solely off his lineage, greatly angers Roy. In addition, due to the discrimination against humans, Roy knows that he will never be able to achieve what that Alfar can, all due to societies predisposition to favor them.

When it comes to getting along with others, Roy would much rather surround himself with the more introverted, submissive sort of people. This way his extroverted, Alpha Male tendencies are able to be totally at ease and in control. He doesn't get along with other men very well, as a great majority of them in the Academy are alpha dogs as well. Not to mention most are jealous of his popularity with women.

In terms of battle, Roy prefers to fight either in the air/space or on his own two feet. He does not feel comfortable piloting a mech, although entirely capable. He has mastered several martial arts and is superb in hand to hand combat. He is a bit of a lone wolf when it comes to fighting, finding it hard to work in conjunction with a team. He is a bit of a loose cannon.

Roy has been immersed in the military life-style since birth. His parents were always keen to keep a watchful eye out and a guiding hand. This is most likely the reason that Roy has a problem with authority and feels the need to rebelle. That being said, he does not want to leave the military life style as it is all he has ever known.

It was apparent from a young age that Roy had a gifted mind, and as such he was placed on the fast track to joining the higher ranks of the military. However, it was upon entering this environment that he learned that he wasn't quite as special as he had been led to believe. Now competing with those of his own caliber, he found that he was at best average. This infuriated Roy and pushed him to work harder than ever to make a name for himself.

Still striving to meet such a goal, Roy has finally found himself in the upper ranks of Academy 9, but he knows that he may have reached the peak of his career. He now must stick to his strengths and prove that he can carry his own weight.

Piloting Abilities: Roy's ability to pilot both combative air and space craft is absolutely amazing. He tends to pilot quick, offensive ships that are able to easily withstand both leaving a planet's atmosphere and reentry. His skills transfer over quite nicely to land vehicles as well, however; Roy does not feel comfortable piloting a mech and opts to stay in the air when offering support in battle.

Martial Arts: Roy's close combat skills are impressive, even by Alfar standards. Most likely the Academy's top human combatant, he finds himself having to spar against Alfar to find a challenge.

Deductive Analysis: Roy is able to accurately predict a person's actions and pick apart their personality by watching their body language and studying their actions. This plays a key part in his fighting style.

Due to his amazing piloting skills, Roy has been issued a specially designed fighter craft that can be used in both space and in-atmosphere battles.

Brynhildr X-Class 3

A modified form of the Valkyries used by the Empire, the Brynhildr is fit to be piloted by a single person. Its compact size makes it ideal for human or Alfar pilots and would not be suitable to fit most of the Kal'dar race. It is an extremely agile air/space craft and can fly circles around most other combat equipped aircraft. It does not have hyperdrive capabilities and thus must be stored on bigger transport ships to travel long distances. It is equipped with two laser turrets fixed just under the nose of the ship. The front laser turrets shoot short, rapid blasts of red-colored energy. The underside of the ship is equipped with an evac-hook that can be used to emergency lift ground soldiers and even small mechs. The Brynhildr is also equipped with long range missiles that are fired from the underside of each wing. It is only able to store two missiles on each wing, so these shots should be used sparingly.

Roy hates the commander. The apparent ease at which he does everything absolutely infuriates Roy because he knows that he will never be able to achieve everything that Lonn is. Roy often uses the fact that Lonn was handed his position to justify his hatred, but in truth it is because he is jealous. He is never had a conversation with the admiral, but he has seen him around the Academy more than once. He has seen the Admiral's fair treatment of all his men and suspects it is all a sham, furthering his dislike for the younger man.

"The admiral? He ain't so special. I could do anything he does 1000 times better."

Lucius is everything that Roy is not. The two are about as opposite as possible and because of that Roy views Lucius to be a bit of an oddity. He finds the way that he walks, talks, dresses, and eats to be overall strange. This causes Roy to act a bit awkward around Lucius, but he does not immediately dislike him as he would to other intelligent male.

"You don't eat meat?! Is that even possible?"

Lore and Roy's meeting was one of fists and claws. It is unclear who started the brawl, but it was very evident who finished it. Pinning Roy to the ground, Lore tried to teach Roy a lesson in manners. Of course, this ultimately backfired on her as it only ignited a fire within Roy to exact his vengeance. Now the two are in a constant rivalry with each other and appear to outwardly hate the other. Inside, however, they actually have great respect for one another, not that they would ever admit it.

"The lizard b*tch? She ain't so tough."

Roy has always felt unsettled around Herrman. There is just something about the way he walks and talks that isn't natural. What's even more suspicious that someone so obviously human would be allowed to hang around the Admiral so much. Roy has taken in to account that it could very well be for good press on the Admiral's part, but finds it unlikely. Something is off about this guy, and Roy wants to know what it is.

"There's just something about him. It's like he's a f*cking robot, or something."

Roy finds Mithna to be quite attractive, actually. Despite her less than impressive breast size, she has a rockin' body and pretty face. It's a shame that she's an Alfar though. While this isn't an immediate deal breaker for Roy, her 'holier than though' attitude is. Not to mention she has some deep set prejudice against him personally.

"Pretty face, fugly personality."

Tobias and Roy get along decently well, or at least appear to. Roy of course hasn't missed that Tobias is an Alfar, which creates quite a bit of tension, however the fact that he is one of pure blood and decided to join the military earns a bit of respect from Roy. He has noticed how guarded Tobias is, and despite his friendly exterior, it appears that he doesn't have too many close friends. Of course, who is Roy to judge? He's literally f*cked over just about anyone that he could call a friend.

"Just another Alfar, doing Alfar things I suppose. He ain't nothing special."

First week at the academy, Roy spotted Daiki and immediately picked a fight with him. After a black eye, a bloody nose, and a few bruises shared between the two of them, they somehow became best friends. That being said, the two are also endless rivals, always competing against one another in just about everything, whether it be a race in a test flight or who can eat the most cafeteria food without throwing up. Roy is slightly jealous at the way that Daiki can so elegantly pilot his Mecha, but would never admit it. Their similar appearance and close bond often gets them mistaken as brothers. In addition, Daiki calls Roy "Mick" and is the only person that does, and is allowed, to do so.

"That ugly S.O.B.? Yeah, you wanna get to him, you gotta go through me!"
• Roy has quite the foul mouth
zxo5GdU.jpg
"Spiral Power? I don't care what you have...a pilot isn't determined on special abilities like that. Its his skills that do the talking!"
Personal Information
Name: Daiki Rikuto (lit. 大貴 陸人 Rikuto Daiki)
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: May 18th

Blonde-emerald.jpg
Daiki stands at exactly 5'9 and weighs about 145 lbs with a fairly slim body frame. He's easy to spot with his messy blonde hair and piercing emerald green eyes, but the other noticeable way to tell its Daiki is him wearing his favorite black jacket.

Daiki Rikuto is 100% human and proud of his heritage. Two sides of the same coin, that's Daiki's personality in a nutshell. On one side of the coin, he is always willing to lend in a helping hand and wants to crack jokes when the situation is too serious. Now flip the coin, and the other half of Daiki's personality is brought out to light. This side is competitive and determined in everything he does, be it the normal everyday activities, or even in the mecha piloting sense. Daiki is a very strong believer, that it doesn't matter if you have sort of special ability, such as the Alfar and their Spiral Power. In his mind, those he is around are the same as each other in some small sense, and that the actions of a pilot reflect on their skills with their mecha and not based on their special abilities.

Young Daiki grew up fending for himself, whilst the Alfar got the better end of the deal. His parents always thought that the Alfar thought they were better than the humans were, however Daiki thought otherwise. In a sense, Daiki saw them almost as a driving force that drove him to strive for something better beyond this life. With this thought driving him, he made it to where he was able to join the military to show off his skills (and in a way, what girl doesn't like a young man piloting a sweet mecha?).

D-Perado X MK 3
mecha1a.pngmecha1e.png
The Desperado X model 3, the chosen mecha is piloted by Daiki. The D-Perado X series is known as a quick gunslinging series of mechas, capable of evading most strikes that other mechas would be unable to dodge (however, the true skills of that depend on the pilot). As the name suggests, this mecha model utilizes battle with its twin rifles. In certain situations, if the enemy decides to pull a close-combat fighting style, the left rifle has a slight energy chainsaw mechanism, used to combat a quick close-combat strike. Its cockpit is located within the chest, thus allowing Daiki to oversee the mecha pilot interface to make every use of D-Perado X MK 3 count.

Pilot Skills - Daiki's skills as a mecha pilot are exceptional, especially when he's piloting his own mecha (since he knows all the controls and all the limits that he can push his to. However, when its a different mecha, it will take him a lot more to get used to. In short, unless its his own mecha, his skills will be on an sub-average level. Marksmanship - Be it in his mecha, or out of it, Daiki is a great shot with any rifles of any sort (still working on his aim and marksmanship with a sniper rifle).
Roy is quite the play boy. He is known around Academy 9 for his 'hit it, and quit it' life style, earning him a lot of enemies in the 'quit it' category. He is constantly flocked by gaggles of girls, and absolutely adores the attention.

Aix would it be okay to play a tactician sort of character, who upon completing her academy education entered the Empire's army as an officer because she's royal Alfar, as as having done a reserve corps program before Academy 9?
UZ9qM9C.jpg
"It would be a deadly tactical mistake on your part to mistake my stature for weakness."
Personal Information
Name: Ismina Rivaille
Age: 19
Gender: F

Race: Alfar
Date of Birth: July 16th
JBOnrOe.jpg
Ismina is an extremely short young woman standing at a pathetic 5'4" for her age, and only weighing 112 lbs. many at Academy 9 tend to overlook her as a pushover, especially to do her father's renown as a military commander, combined with his impressive physique at stature, well appearance wise Ismina and her father could not be more different. Along with her Academy 9 uniform Ismina wears the above outfit during 'off-days' when she has free time (there is no fur on the sleeves though, and the fur around her neck is replaced by a black scarf). Ismina wears a pair of tight black leggings, which allow her to use as much of her body as possible, and a pair of black combat boots. Strapped to her hip she wears a standard captain's side arm just in case she needs to engage in combat.

Ismina is, often surprisingly to others, quite timid and shy in most situations though put her at the helm of a ship and all that melts away showing her inner Rivialle warrior. With all the presence of her famed father Ismina steps from her shell, and with all the decisiveness of a seasoned commander cannot easily size up and adapt to any situation. For those who know it is quite a shock to see the commonly quiet girl's attitude change when put into the heat of battle, transforming into leader. Even when not in the Captain's chair Ismina is not afraid to stand up against things she believes wrong, and will even speak out against a higher officers command if she believes its incorrect.

Ismina takes much of her mannerisms and ways of acting from her father, as such she prefers to fight honorably, though has been known to resort to underhanded tactics if it is the difference between victory and defeat, or life and death for her men. She also takes her father's high regard for sentient life into account when devising tactics, and will never send soldiers into suicide missions... at least in terms of Alfar. Despite Ismina's father trying to educate her to not treat the 'Lesser Races' will prejudice, Ismina's mother's racism has rubbed off on her daughter who will unfailingly show favoritism to Alfar over any other race.

Though Ismina's mother cannot be totally blamed for her daughter's prejudiced nature, Ismina analytically mind as a tactician can also be seen as partly to blame. Due to the fact that the 'Lesser Races' are both physically, and mechanically inferior to the Alfar Ismina feels that because they are not created equal there is no reason to treat the 'Lesser Races' as anything but what they are, which is second class. This is not to say Ismina is cruel though, as despite her feelings of superiority Ismina feels that as sentient beings the 'Lesser Races' are entitled some common social courtesies if not some legal ones as well.  Though her politeness towards a person of a 'Lesser Race' depends mostly upon their value as an ally and how much she wishes to have their respect and loyalty.

As the daughter of the famous military commander and mech-pilot Luthier Rivaille by the time she entered Academy 9 Ismina was no stranger to military. Since she'd been old enough to read a lot was expected of Ismina, though instead of resenting the pressure she placed under Ismina reveled in it and enjoyed her busy life. Though having so many eyes on her all the time expecting her to do make history at their beck and call, especially at a young and impressionable age, caused her to become very shut-in and this combined with her heavy schedule caused Ismina to become introverted.

At the age of 12 she was enrolled into a reserve officer training corp, and it was here that she was able to reach her true potential as one of the Empire's finest. During training simulations Ismina was able to pick out odd and hard to notice details that most others couldn't, and her instructors saw her potential as a tactician. This caused Ismina to have not only go through various combat courses, but sit through hours of classes on military tactics and be run through battle simulations which she would have to complete in a certain number of minutes or 'turns'.

By the time she entered Academy 9 Ismina was already well versed in many aspects of the Empire, and knew many of classmates well. Though she is has not followed in her father's footsteps as a mecha-pilot, instead preferring to stay about small dropships outfitted for her tactical purposes, she has made him as proud as any father could be.

Due to her training at Academy 9 and at the reserve corps, Ismina is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, as well as being skilled many forms of fighting and weaponry. Despite all her training however she cannot drive a mech for the life of her. There is no counting how many test mechs Ismina has wrecked (actually there is its currently at 12) and how many simulations she has miserably failed (this can be counted to its currently 83 and counting).

This is not were her true strengths lie though. Ismina's true abilities can really be seen in her tactical and brilliant mind for strategy. Extremely detail minded Ismina can, after years of training, pick apart and analyze a battlefield in seconds. She easily picks out what the 'best course' of action would be and can turn the tide of a battle in little more than a few 'moves'. This is not all that makes her a good tactician though, but the ability to read not only enemy maneuvers and movements, but individual ones as well, easily able to read people by there speech and mannerisms.

Is it just me or are most of the Player Characters female?
And what's with the large number of royalty related/otherwise pretty high status Player Characters?

umm... couldn't tell ya, I haven't even looked at the apps to except to look at an age average.

i do believe its 4/7 in favor of females atm. might have miscounted.

I think its sort of intended that we all play characters of high status, since they are mechanically superior and have more of a reson to associate with the admiral, what with him being crown prince and all. Although to be fair, not all of the apps are like that, and mine in particular sort of subverts that concept, what with her looking human and being a bit of an outcast and all.

I'm not going to be playing a mecha fighter or a foot soldier.  I think my character will be behind the action most of the time, as she's more of a scientist, however I can make a male character or two to balance it out.  I just like playing as characters that are my own gender, so I prefer to (usually) play female roles.

I actually decided to play a character of the opposite gender, for once, since many of my previous characters were starting to blend together for me. Regretting it slightly now since we're pretty female-heavy, but at least the crown prince can take his pick. XD

Most likely, I'll end up tailoring my second character to whatever the rp is in need of most, but i probably won't create it for a bit since the cast is looking pretty heavy as is.

Added a mech bio to my app, aix. Let me know if you want me to make any changes to that as well.

Zai... Your mech is like my mech's much less fragile older sibling. This could make for an interesting dynamic. Dare I say rivalry?

dat sunblast angel. Lol.

Those two machines certainly make for an interesting combination, with the silver bullet packing some of the firepower the sig lacks, but of course the bullet can't keep up with it for extended periods. But with the sig's optical stun and Eryn's accuracy, i think the two units would make a potent combo to say the least. The bullet can gat whatever stunned units the sig misses.

Should be fun for sure.

EDIT: actually this whole squadron that we have so far looks interesting. We have a beam spamming AI mech, a dual weilding, chainsaw sporting mid range unit, two high speed attack units, as well as a trio of excellent pilots (one of whom seems to be a squad leader) and a fully functional robot who can mind meld with his mech. Plus anyone i missed as well as a group of excellent foot soldiers.

Mugen, the Admiral was given his rank. Part of the problems of monarchy, one might say, but at the same time because of it he was able to be raised and trained for the role from a very young age.

Cray-Crow, I'd like more details on her interaction and teamwork with others as well as a separate written bit on her race. You don't have to be as long as Keto, but I'd like the basic things covered.

Everyone, I'd like a bit more detail on their chemistry with others, some of you already have how you interact with others, but I want some more detail in terms of teamwork and coordination.

Do you want that chemistry in our apps? I feel like our chemistry will just come out in the coarse of the IC as our personalities interact. It's hard for any one of us to detail how we interact with other's apps by our selves. Maybe we should leave that stuff for the RP, otherwise our personalities seem more than sufficient.

Not chemistry with specific people, just how good you typically are at working in a team. Remember that in the context of this RP, your characters have trained together for years. Raine, yours is sufficient enough though.

I'm hesitating on whether we should establish actual friendships between characters. I've seen it done on other RP sites.
