Chain Frog

If a "Frog" monster, except "Frog the Jam" is Summoned: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Only 1 "Chain Frog" can be Summoned this way per turn. If this card is tributed for a Tribute Summon or used as Xyz Material for a Xyz Summon, the Summoned monster gains the following effect:
- If this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "Frog" monster, except "Frog the Jam" or "Chain Frog" from your Graveyard to your hand.

You do know that this cannot work with the Tribute summon thing, right? The effect that monster gains, it gains only when Special Summoned, so no pluses when tributing. Also, why not add from the Deck instead? Most of the times you want those frogs in the graveyard, not bouncing them back, unless you have swap frog in here.

The tribute thing was clearly made for the purpose of frognarchs, but hey, frogs have their own archtype, initially they werent an engine for monarchs, so it kinda becomes unrealistic when you put that effect on this card. All in all, it could be a good thing for two tribute summon monsters, but frognarchs likes to run ladd so the search effect would be pointless, using ronintoadin ss effect would be better in a conjunction with treeborn frog, but mega monarchs are becoming a thing now so it could have its use.

Thank you very much. I believe that when the effect was originally Xyz-only, I forgot to change the last line when I added Tribute Summons in. The OP has been fixed.

I don't mean to nit-pick, but i believe the Summoning effect should read "When this card is Summoned [...]", as the only case that the effect would not come into play is if the summon was negated.  The card itself is pretty good.  I don't run frogs too much, but it seems that this in conjuncture with swamp frog could vastly increase their speed, while also giving rank 2 support.
