Hello!

This is my first card in months, so any advice/criticism is appreciated.

A Flash of Blue
Warrior/Xyz/LIGHT/Rank 4/ ATK 2200/ DEF 1800
1 Level 4 DARK monster + 1 Level 4 LIGHT monster

You can detach 2 Xyz Materials to negate the activation of a S/T card and add it to your hand. During your next End Phase, if the returned card(s) are in your hand or on the field, send it to the Graveyard.

Whut?
Now that's a first I've seen that effect.

Detaching 2 materials to both prevent and add to hand your opponent's trap card. That's a nice one. So let's see. One dark one Light, hello Wyrmbuster and Collapserpent.
Er.... Let's see, this card attacks, opponent uses F-Lance, you negate add to hand and toss it on your opponent's card.

Myea, I like this card.

Normally, Xyz Monsters don't display material like that. What I'd recommend instead is that this card can use additional effects if it has Xyz Material Monsters of certain Attributes attached to it. What it would look like:

2 Level 4 DARK monsters + 1 Level 4 LIGHT monster

If this card has a DARK monster and a LIGHT monster as Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
*During either player's turn, when a Spell/Trap card is activated: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card; to negate the activation, of a S/T card and if you do, add it to your hand. During your next End Phase, if the returned that card(s) are is in your hand or on the field, send it to the Graveyard.
This keeps it roughly in line with what's available - but while it appears splashable, you need to go out of your way to be able to use its effect.

Well essentially changing it like Gadjiltron said would allow and 2 Level 4 monsters to turn into a 2200 beater, but if they fill the reqs (or by some card effect to change the attributes of the Xyz Materials) it would add an effect to it. LIGHT/DARK decks do get way too much support, so I kind of agree with him. Anyways here's a different version according to Gadjil's description:
